&I hope you're learning to listen
&I hope you're learning to stay
&I hope you're learning to stay
&I hope you find what you're missing
&I hope that you're making your way
&I hope that you're making your way
Having a hangover had to be the worst feeling Gabby had ever felt in her entire life. After her rather wild night out at Club Chronos , Gabby had stumbled or rather, been carried and placed, into bed. There she slept through the rest of the night until 2 p.m the next day. Waking up to a throbbing headache and a spinning room which had her wanting to hurl onto her duvet, Gabby decided then and there that she would never drink again. Ever. The brunette then went onto spend two more hours in bed, feeling sorry for herself, before Ari stopped by with a Pepper up Potion. It helped with the headache and the constant urge she had to vomit but her stomach still felt tender, which is why she chose to skip dinner in the Great Hall in favor of staying in bed another hour. It wasn't until 5:34 p.m that she decided she was well enough to get up, shower and attempt to eat some food. She'd ended up running to the toilet to throw up the three cauldron cakes she'd practically scoffed to quell her hunger pangs. Returning to her bed, it wasn't until 11 pm that she'd woken again.
Tiptoeing down the corridors in only her pjyamas and a pair of cotton socks, Gabriella walked along the stone walls in silence, her wand gripped in her right hand. The castle was cold tonight and Gabby really wished she'd brought her dressing gown with her, or at least a jumper. Of course she hadn't thought that far ahead, what with her mind being all jumbled and fuzzy because of her hangover and the fact that she'd slept most of the day. Which was the reason why she was up past curfew, wandering the empty halls of the Castle.
It wasn't often that Gabriella ever went out past curfew. In fact she never broke the rules, it wasn't in her nature and, well, she didn't want to get into trouble. Except she hadn't eaten all day and was beyond starved. Besides it wasn't like she'd be the only student sneaking around tonight. It was a Saturday night which meant that there would be a lot of students sneaking out to party and whatever else it was they did. Knowing that there were other students doing much worse than she was right now, made Gabby feel much more comfortable with sneaking around past midnight and a lot less guilty.
Arriving at the kitchens, Gabriella pushed open and peaked around the heavy wooden door. When she saw that there was no one else in the room she lifted her arm. "Lumos" pointing her wand so that the light illuminating from it's tip lit up the space before her, Gabby stepped further into the kitchen and closed the door quietly behind her. Walking up to a table, she bit back on her lip and chewed it softly, her mind racing with ideas of what she could have to eat. She'd have to summon and fix it up herself of course, since the house elves were tucked up and fast asleep with the rest of the castle. But, she really didn't feel up to fixing herself any food, it would be too much effort and waste too much energy, something she felt she had little of.
"Accio chocolate ice-cream" Maybe not the best option since she already felt cold but Gabriella was very much under the impression that chocolate ice-cream could fix anything, even a hangover."Ah! cold cold cold!" hissing under her breath when her hands clumsily fumbled the tub of ice-cream, Gabby placed it down on the table and rubbed her hands up and down her PJ bottoms in an attempt to warm them up. Satisfied but still a bit cold, Gabriella summoned a spoon and then with her wand, newly acquired ice-cream and spoon, she wandered over to sit up against a wall. It was a hidden space so that if anyone else were to enter she wouldn't be spotted immediately, giving her time to hide.
Sliding down into a comfortable, cross legged position, Gabby pealed the lid from her ice-cream and jammed in the silver spoon. She placed her wand at her side so that she had some light and pulled her sleeves down over her hands so that they'd be protected from the cold. Once she'd done that she picked up her tub of ice-cream, grabbed the spoon and shoved a mouthful of chocolate-y goodness into her mouth. Her stomach gurgled and she quickly pressed a hand to it in fear that the ice-cream chose not to stay down. When nothing else happened, she breathed out a sigh and took a small scoop of ice-cream. Yes, ice-cream probably wasn't the best choice for an empty and recovering stomach but really what else could she do? Besides it tasted nice.
