Boredom was Vinny’s only weakness, that and candy but this wasn’t the case. Their wasn’t anything to do today, and the headmaster was breathing down his throat about making trouble and pulling pranks; last prank he did was testing a new product from work turning everyone in his DADA class blue and green, good laugh for Vinny not so much for everyone else apparently. But he made an agreement, no pranks for a week and they won’t expel him; who could say no to that? Though doing nothing has left Vinny with boredom. It was a beautiful day, clear skies and a bright yellow sun; Vinny liked it and decided to go for a walk on the grounds, something to do right?
Hogwarts seemed dead today, nobody really around to hang out with or anything really, so Vinny headed to the black lake taking a look around for anyone; no soul insight, so he sat on a rock close to the water. The smooth, black lake was calm today; no creatures moving about the water, no movement at all really; the lake looked placid, frankly Vinny was shocked that the Giant squid hasn’t come out yet. The air was cool but with the mixture of the sun’s rays it was the perfect weather for anything, then the silence of it all. The silence of nature where the only thing you can hear is wind, birds chirping from everywhere and the leaves moving with the wind; Vinny enjoyed it, he enjoyed silence it always gave him time to just sit and think. About what? Everything, from pranks to family to what catches his eye or even a memory; the silence just brings out the calmer side of Vinny, he never understood why though from a loud family filled with jokesters and troublemakers, silence is the last thing you’d ever get from a Weasley. His father always called him the slightly odd one out of the family for wanting silence every once in awhile but that never bothered Vinny, He knew who he was and enjoyed every minute of it.
Vinny shifted feeling a bump in his back pocket; he reached back and grabbed whatever was discomforting the teen. It was a lollipop, one of the many his mother sent him; this was one of the many reasons why he loved his family they acted like muggle’s and weren’t bothered by what people say about it. Example, his grandmother; even if Vinny hasn’t seen her within a month she still acted like she hasn’t seen him in years, his family was always kind and welcoming to other’s. Needless to say the lollipop was a nice reminder, he stuck it in his front pocket this time; the teenager decided to do something, he picked up a few stones and began skipping them…poorly but he didn’t care, who was watching really?
Then the typical Vinny started getting frustrated with his failure attempts at skipping stones, he bent down and grabbed another looking at it “Come on you piece of shit!” he said getting grouchy whipping the stone into the lake and groaned watching it only skip once. Giving up the teenager sat down on the rock again mumbling curse words, “stupid lake, and stupid fucking stones. Can’t skip worth shit… ” he paused and took a deep breath noticing how immature he was being about his failures’. Vinny sighed heavily seriously not knowing what to do now, he could go back inside but he’d still be in his utter boredom, Vinny just stared at the lake through his dark sunglasses till he heard a twig snap, he raised his eyebrow and glanced behind him.
