The fact that Carleigh was focused so heavily on her NEWTS was definitely something that made Felicity smile. They were an important set of exams and passing them could open up a lot of doors for her, though of course there were already plenty of options for her. Even if her grades weren't exactly where they should be, being a Stryder was something that wasn't overlooked. That, coupled with Felicity's star status, would make it a lot easier for Carleigh, no matter where she ended up taking her future. Felicity let Carleigh talk, listening and nodding in the right places. It touched her to think that Carleigh saw her as someone that people looked up to, since that was something that she worked for personally. Not only did she do the whole Quidditch thing, but she was also heavily involved with a lot of charity work. "You'll find your way eventually. Us Stryders always do. It's sometimes a bit of a bumpy ride, but you'll make it. Oddly enough, I kind of have some confidence in you," Felicity responded, giving Carleigh a genuine smile for a moment. Whatever had come over Carleigh to bring about such a change, Felicity was glad.
The suggestion that she go to a club brought a sharp laugh from Felicity. The only time she ever went to clubs anymore was for work related things and even then it was usually just in the VIP lounge and much tamer than the outside parts of the club. "I am absolutely not going to go out clubbing in an attempt to meet people," Felicity responded with a bemused laugh. The idea of having to find someone like that was ludicrous to her, honestly. It had been so long since she had ever had to consider the whole "dating scene" that the thought of it was a complete joke, really. If Felicity was going to find someone, that wouldn't be the way to go about it. Besides, if she wasn't with Colton, there was only one other person that she could possibly see herself with for any length of time. "I already have other options, anyway. Not that I'm looking to go interact with said person at any point in the near future," Felicity responded with a shrug. At the moment, she was still too conflicted to make any serious decisions about the state of her love life and probably wouldn't for at least a little while longer.

Passing her NEWTS were pretty damn important. If she did well it would change everyone’s opinion of her. Carleigh Stryder will no longer be seen as the dumb, bitchy slut, but would be seen as a smart, bitchy slut. Or, well, less of a slut now since she doesn’t have much time for boys and all with this studying that she’s been doing. “Yeah, I know I’ll figure something out eventually. I can’t just sit here and do nothing for forever. That would be boring and just suck,” Carleigh said with a shrug. The girl was taken by surprise by the fact that her sister actually told her that she had confidence in her. Was this real? Or was this one of her crazy drunk dreams and none of this is actually happening? “Thanks,” she said with a smile, “for that. I don’t get to hear that often.” And it felt good.
“Why not? It’s the best way, honest to Merlin,” Carleigh said, laughing slightly, taking the scrunchie out of her hair and letting her blonde locks flow loose. She ran her fingers through her hair and sighed. Fel was being difficult about this. “I’m sure you have other options. If I held auditions for a fiancé for you, I’m sure there would be a like spanning from our front door to the house in Verona.” Carleigh paused to think for a minute. Who was the person Felicity was talking about? Did she know them? Probably. The blonde practically knew everyone. But who was it? “Hm, how about this. You and ‘said person’ go out somewhere with me and Jordan? That way you can just invite them along for company and say that you’re just keeping an eye on me when you’re actually out on a date of some sort.” She's never mentioned Jordan to her sister and wondered if she would think anything of it. Carleigh went through the process of predicting her sister's though process. First she would think Jordan is just some guy that she's slept with. But then she'll wonder why her little sister invited her if she was just going to end up having sex with him. Then she's going to realize that Carls has changed and wonder who this guy really was and if they had sex yet and if it was a legit thing or just a hoax. But anyway, the plan. It didn’t sound like a bad plan in her mind, but knowing Felicity, she could find a way to shoot every good idea down.
