After my two fail students for sisters who only cared about partying, my dad set his expectations exceptionally high for me to excel in school. He wishes only the best for me, and I understand that, but it's like he's smothering me. It's like...he's already accepted the fact that Sydney and Peyton aren't going to do much with their life, so he wants me to carry on the family legacy. And if I screw up even the slightest bit, if I don't get perfect grades and perfect scores, he'll be disappointed in me because I failed him. I always thought people would ridicule me and tell me to stand up to my father. But I want to have my father's approval. I see the hurt in his eyes everytime Peyton does poorly in a class, and he feels compassionate towards her. But everytime I pass a class with the highest marks that could possibly be earnes, he just shakes it off. Like it's expected of me to get high marsk. Like I'm the one that they just know will make excellent grades, meanwhile I'm struggling with some of my classes. So I put extra study time in. But they'll never know that. And my sisters alway complain that I'm the smart one of the family, and making them feel bad because I'm intelligent, but in reality, I'm jealous of them. Sure, I would kill to save my brains any day, but while I'm off in a corner studying to keep up the grades expected of me, my sisters are always invited to all the parties. Everyone knows them. But if you ask any one of my sister's party buddies, they don't even know I exist. Take yourself for example. You didn't know I was in the picture until I caught you in a bathroom. I've never told anyone that. Not even Megan. [/center][/size] |
