He got what he needs to impressin' Just look at the way that he dressin'
As they reached the VIP lounge and Braden settled into a seat at one of the tables, he scooted over slightly to give Hallie room to sit. Though, she didn't really take it and was more so just sitting on top of him, which he couldn't say he minded at all. Leaning back in the seat, Braden sprawled himself out in a comfortable enough position, keeping one hand lightly resting on the small of Hallie's back, just to assure her that he was there. He knew that she was probably pretty nervous about the whole thing and he wanted to make sure that she felt as comfortable as possible, even if he didn't say that in so many words. He wasn't one for mushy shit and that was just something that she would have to come to understand, but he was sure that she probably already had. It wasn't like he was too difficult to figure out.
A bit of a frown passed his face at her indignant comment and he simply shrugged his shoulders slightly in response. To be honest, he hadn't thought much about it. Sure, she didn't seem the type to be a raging drinker, but at the same time he knew her sisters and there wasn't much of a chance that Hallie could've gotten through life without at least learning how to take a few shots. "Nah, didn't say that. Would you rather me look over there at some other chick?" he asked, raising an eyebrow slightly. Probably not the best thing to have said to her, but obviously Braden wasn't really the type to think things through before he said them. In a way, though, it was kind of a compliment, right? That he had decided he'd rather pay attention to her than the other girls in the club was totally a compliment in his own, Bradeny way.
His attention vaguely followed as she went to get up, a rather unsure look on his face. She damn well better not be going over there to chat Alfie up while he was there. That would be some shit and he definitely would have an issue with it. Maybe he was being slightly overprotective, but obviously since it was Alfie his actions were completely warranted. Sort of. Moving slightly, Braden positioned himself so that he was sitting on the edge of the bench, reading to pounce up and get at Alfie in a second if anything went wrong. He didn't particularly care what they were talking about, as long as Alfie didn't touch her. Or look at her for too long. Or smile at her a whole lot. Actually, maybe Alfie should just go somewhere where he couldn't even think about his girlfriend. That would be better.
As Hallie started to walk back over towards him, Braden felt rather relieved and looked up at her with innocent eyes. Obviously, he was being good so far and hadn't been too grumpy. Well, at least he hadn't done anything too bad. His head angled in closer to hers as she bent down, a bit of a smirk appearing on his face as she did so. Until she suggested they dance, that is. He wasn't much of a dancer. He could and he was actually fairly decent at it, but he didn't really like to. However, he couldn't really say no to Hallie, especially not when she was looking at him like that. That just wasn't fair. "Yeah, what the hell. We can dance," he said with a shrug, as if it were totally no big deal. Though, obviously it was a very big deal that he was even getting up out of the seat in the first place.
Sliding out of the seat, Braden was standing so that he was right in front of Hallie for a moment. He glanced over at the dance floor for a moment, noticing that Felix and Gabby were already out there doing, well, something. "I don't dance like that though," he commented, nodding his head over towards the pair. Clearly, he was too cool to dance like that. Taking Hallie's hand, he laced his fingers in with hers and led her out to the dance floor. Obviously, now that he had agreed to it, he had full rights to act like he had come up with the idea and that he was completely in charge of everything. Letting go of her hands, Braden moved them up to Hallie's waist, pulling her in rather close to him. "You've never been club dancing, yeah? he asked, just to clarify. He never knew with Hallie. Even though she wasn't a clubber, her sisters were and there was no telling what all she had been exposed to.

I make them good girls go bad A wicked grin graced Alfie's lips as he watched Gabby and Hallie down their shots. To be honest he hadn't thought they'd do it, at least not Gabby. He couldn't say if Hallie liked the occasional drink or not, what with her sisters being who they were, so it didn't surprise him all that much that she knocked it back with ease. When Felix declined his shot, Alfie turned a mocking stare on the other Quidditch player and smirked, he'd been about to shot the drink himself when the brilliant idea of giving it to Gabby struck him. "Here babe, you can have Wood's too, since he can't handle shots." The faster she got drunk the better, at least then he'd have a chance at getting her away from idiot Felix.
Alfie's easy grin didn't falter at Felix's smug expression, though the corners of his mouth did tighten and as Gabby and Felix disappeared onto the dance floor his grin immediately slipped into a sneer. "Wanker." he muttered under his breath and moved to sit on one of the stools positioned around the bar. This was not, at all, how he'd expected or planned this night to go. To say that he was getting pissed off might have been an understatement. What made the whole thing worse was the fact that Felix Wood thought he was better than him. He obviously wasn't any better than Alfie, at all, but at the minute he was the one with the girl and Alfie was alone.
"These your friends?"
Alfie turned his gaze on Milie and gave her his usual smirk, "Please don't insult me Mil's" Alfie scoffed and breathed out a sigh, he didn't feel up to explaining the horrible situation he was now in, thinking about it too much made him want to hex someone. Preferably Wood. Now that brought a smile to his face. "Double Fire Whiskey." He ordered and drank the drink in one when Milie slid across the bar. By the time he'd placed his glass back on the bar she was handing him another. "Cheers babe." he winked at Milie who gave him a smile of her own before disappearing to serve someone else.
A few minutes passed in which Alfie sipped at his Fire whiskey, thinking up ways he could humiliate Wood for the rest of the year, before Hallie approached. Again Alfie was reminded of how much he was pissed off by the fact that Hallie had brought her boyfriend. She was saying something about being grateful to him, which of course she should have been. The urge to reply with some inappropriate, flirtatious comment was strong but Braden was watching Hallie like a hawk and Alfie didn't particularly feel like pissing him off. So instead he said, "No problem, sweetness." and gave her a wink. He watched her as she headed back over to Braden, checking out her legs and thinking how great they looked in that short dress of hers. Yes, he was well and truly disappointed that he'd never be able to add little Cauldwell to his list. Ah, well. There was still Gabby.
'What the fuck' was the idle thought that ran through Alfie's mind when he spotted Gabby dancing with Felix, pulling some very uncool moves. Gabriella Davies was most definitely a nerd and Alfie didn't know whether to laugh or give up on trying to do anything with her. Because the moves she was pulling were down right embarrassing. Of course giving up meant that he was both a quitter and a loser and he was rarely ever either of those. Standing from his stool, Alfie made a beeline for Gabby and Felix, swiping a couple of drinks left unattended at the bar as he went. "Did I hear someone mention drinks." he commented with the same easy grin he'd been wearing earlier. "Here." he handed Gabby a drink, not sure what it was and not caring either. He hadn't brought Felix one, obviously. "I can get you some water if you want, Wood? Some orange juice?" he jeered, his tone mocking but his face the perfect mask of serene innocence. notes;; words;; 692 tagged;; Hallie, Gabby, Braden, Felix lyrics;; Good girls go bad - Cobra Starship

I'm out of character I'm in rare formand if you really knew me you'd know it's not the norm Staring down at the dance floor and the lights that were pulsing beneath her feet, Gabby looked up and gave Felix a wry smile at his agreement, that Alfie was indeed an arse. "You think I'm preeeetty." She said in a sing-song voice, already feeling the buzz from the two shots she'd done. As if realizing that she sounded like she might have been verging on tipsy Gabby coughed lightly and shook her head. Not that she cared all that much, because she never drank, but really didn't want to come across as a complete light weight. Even though she was. Not that it was her fault. It wasn't like she drank all the time and she had a small body, that meant she could get drunk much faster than others right? Yes, it wasn't her fault at all. Still it would be embarrassing if she were to end up drunk within the first half hour of arriving at the club.
When Felix explained the supposed purpose of the pole, Gabby couldn't help but give him a very skeptical stare. "Oh, shut up, you're such a little liar." She said, attempting to hide the uncertainty in her voice. Felix did look very serious after all and he did know a lot about the club scene. "I don't believe you." Gabby said finally. Her mouth popped open a little when a woman proceeded to grind up against the pole, as if to prove what Felix was saying to be true. "I am not doing that." There wasn't a chance in hell Gabby was going to be dancing around that pole. Desperately wanting to change the subject, Gabby apologized to Felix for not telling him that Alfie would be joining them. She gave him a disapproving look at his comment about the Slytherin being alone. Sure Gabby thought the guy was a complete arse but she didn't want to revel in the fact that he was alone and didn't think Felix should either. But Felix was big on the house rivalry thing, like a lot of other people at the school and he wasn't about to change so Gabby didn't bother to tell him off. Besides Alfie had been taunting Felix earlier so she thought maybe he deserved it, a little.
A smile pulled at Gabby's lips when Felix joined in with her dancing, though his moves were much smoother and considerably better than hers. A lot better, not that she cared all that much. Gabby was glad for the suggestion for drinks because she was starting to feel pretty warm and a little on the dehydrated side. "Ah, yeah, ok." Turning on the spot, she jumped when Alfie slipped up out of nowhere. "Merlin Alfie." she mumbled irritably and took the drink he was practically shoving into her hand. "What is it?" she asked warily but Alfie didn't answer, he was too busy taunting Felix. Again. "Oh, would you knock it off." she snapped and pressed her mouth into a tight line when Alfie turned his stare on her.
"I'm only being polite, Gabby."
"Oh, is that all?" she replied as sarcastic as ever. Rolling her eyes, she lifted the drink Alfie had brought her to her lips about to take a sip when she realized that she didn't know what was in it and should have known better than to take a drink from Alfie Chase. Not that she thought he'd drug her or anything. At least she didn't think he'd sink so low. "What's is this?" she asked, indicating at her drink. When Alfie said vodka, Gabby glanced at Felix and then back at Alfie before taking a small sip. "Uh, thanks." She said, feeling somewhat awkward stood between Felix and Alfie. A very large part of her wanted to take Felix and walk away but then she'd just feel guilty and rude for leaving Alfie alone. In any normal situation she wouldn't have cared but Alfie had invited them into VIP and he had gotten her two drinks. Unsure of what to say, which must have been a first for her, Gabby turned her attention to sipping at her drink. Sips turned to mouthfuls at each moment that passed and before she knew it she'd gotten through most of her drink.
"I'm getting another drink." She said after finishing off the one she currently had. "buy one for me, Felix?" It was the only thing she could think of right now to move herself and Felix away from Alfie without her feeling all that guilty. Though of course Alfie could very well follow them to the bar. Linking her arm through Felix's, Gabby moved around Alfie and led the way to the bar.

[/img] i912.photobucket.com/albums/ac321/muchbetterrx/icons%20i%20made/selenatca2.png [/img] This isn’t typical of me Everything opposite of what I’m to be. As they sat down, Hallie sitting on Braden’s lap, she felt him move his hand to the small of her back. She jumped a bit, at the feel of his touch, as the sudden movement snapped her attention back to reality. Turning to face Braden, she smiled and settled down. Taking his other hand, Hallie held on to it on her lap. She smiled again. Nope, the only girl in the room is the one you’re looking at right now. Obviously. She laughed, and then frowned. Why would Braden suggest looking at the other girls in the room? Could he sense her insecurity, or was he simply just messing around with her? Either way, she was obviously upset by his inability to focus on her, something Hallie should be able to deal with by now. Considering the fact that they had been dating for a few weeks now, and she knew from when they first met that Braden wasn’t exactly in touch with his feelings. Regardless, it still hurt her that he’d even suggest looking at some other girl, probably way hotter than she was, in her presence.
Releasing his fingers and getting up from his lap, Hallie could feel Braden’s stare intensify into her back. Perhaps it was a mistake to reach out to Alfie, considering the tension between her boyfriend and the latter boy, but she was trying her best to include him the activities. After all, if it wasn’t for him, Hallie would be in nice warm pajamas in her dormitory, studying for next week’s test. So maybe she shouldn’t be so grateful, because he clearly took her out of the comfort zone she loved. But then again, she did get to spend the night with her boyfriend, and that was always a good thing. Looking across the room at Braden, Hallie smiled, to show that she was being a good girl. She could tell that Braden was seriously hating on Alfie right now, but he could get over it; kind of like the way Hallie was getting over his comment from before. Turning her attention back to Alfie, she smiled. Sweetness huh? You’re not so bad yourself. Realizing what she said, Hallie felt like she had to set Alfie right, before he got any ideas in his head. I mean that in a strictly friendly sense, of course. She smiled again.
Looking back at Braden, who’s stare only intensified, Hallie swallowed. Oops. Addressing the guy sitting next to her without breaking eye contact with her boyfriend, Hallie said her goodbyes, and made her way back over to the couch. After asking Bray to dance, she was quite excited when he said yes. She watched him get up, rather grumpily of course, and stand protectively in front of her. Switching her glance between Alfie and Braden, Hallie felt it was almost as if her boyfriend was trying to establish an alpha male dominance. Hallie became nervous, as she believed a physical confrontation was about to occur. But the moment passed, and she was able to catch her breath, especially after Braden interlaced his fingers with hers.
Unable to understand how a simple touch from him could reassure Hallie and calm her down, she allowed him to lead her to the dance floor. Smiling like it was the best thing in the world, until she looked over at Felix and Gabby in response to his comment. She frowned, and she saw nothing wrong with their dancing, and would much rather prefer doing that then grinding upon someone. Uh, oh. Yeah, okay. Feeling his hands travel down her body, Hallie blushed for a moment, and then moved closer to him. Looking down at the floor, still intrigued by the flashing lights in the floor, Hallie paused for a moment before she answered him. Oh well, you know. I know some things from my sisters. But I would never actually do them. Looking back up at him, Hallie frowned slightly. She obviously didn’t want his opinion of her to change, simply because she refused to grind on him.
Swaying her hips a bit to the music, Hallie let him take over in the dancing department. Getting a little carried away, Hallie grabbed the front of his shirt and pulled him even closer. Perhaps a bit much, and she couldn’t even blame on the alcohol, but Hallie didn’t care. It wasn’t like this night would matter in her future. Stopping for a moment to catch her breath, Hallie leaned up towards Braden, and without thinking about it, kissed him lightly on the lips. Pulling back almost instantly, she blushed and stammered. Oh…uh…umm…uh…Sorry? Too embarrassed to think properly, Hallie’s only thought was to get out of the room. Leaving Bray on the dance floor, she rushed over to where Gabby, Alfie, and Felix were kind of just standing around. Without paying attention to the two guys, she pretty much just ran up to Gabby, and grabbed her arm, pulling her to the restroom. Gabby, I have to go, like now. Come with? Although clearly a question, Hallie didn’t exactly give Gabby a chance, as she still had her arm link with the latter girl. Obviously wanting to have fun, Hallie just hoped she didn’t push Braden too far.

I see your name in lights. We can make you a star. Girl, we'll take the world by storm. It isn't that hard.
Admittedly, it was a bit fun for Felix to see Gabby start to get tipsy already. He was the kind of guy that could handle his liquor well and it was pretty obvious that Gabby definitely wasn't. However, he preferred to just not drink. He did at times, but he was generally more concerned about keeping his body in pristine condition for his Quidditch. Looking over at Gabby with a smirk, he shook his head slightly in amusement as she spoke. "Why, yes I do, Gabriella. I think you're quite pretty," he replied, his voice sounding as if he were talking to a small child. Felix had decided that this was definitely an opportunity for him to poke fun at Gabby as much as he'd like, since there was a fairly good chance that she wouldn't really remember it later.
Although he highly doubted that Gabby would go anywhere within ten feet of the pole, she certainly sounded as if she were somewhat, possibly believing him. Giving her a wide, amused grin, Felix kept himself from bursting out into a peal of laughter. If he could get her to actually comply and start dancing up on the pole, his life would probably be complete. She had any number of things to nail him on, but she was such a goody-good most of the time that he very rarely got anything he could use against her. "We'll talk about it later, mate. They won't let you leave if you don't...so," he said with a shrug, giving her a sympathetic look. Obviously, if he acted as if he to were appalled by the thought of it, than perhaps Gabby would be more likely to go ahead with it.
A bright grin crossed his face when Gabby agreed to the idea of getting more drinks. However, it quickly fell to a frown when he saw Alfie come up from behind him. Just when he had gotten rid of the guy, it seemed like he was right there again to be an annoying dick. It was like he was a damn cockroach that couldn't be squashed, no matter how many times Felix tried. Suppressing an irate scowl, Felix put his best friendly look forward as he spun around on his feet to face Alfie. "A water would be fantastic, Alfie. Aren't you just the nicest little waiter? The job suits you," Felix replied, a smirk arising on his face. He was acting perfectly friendly, but it was quite obvious that he was anything but that. Though he had sort of promised Gabby that he would attempt to be somewhat civil, that just wasn't something that Felix was capable of doing. Not with Alfie Chase anyways.
Letting his commentary die down for a moment, Felix glanced over at Gabby as she started to down her vodka. By the way she was downing it, she probably really needed it. It certainly couldn't have been easy to have to deal with the testosterone that Felix and Alfie were putting forth at the moment. Though, obviously that wasn't Felix's fault in the least and it all was Alfie's fault for existing or something. He definitely wanted to just get Gabby and go somewhere else, but the club wasn't exactly the sort of place where you could get rid of someone like Alfie. He'd probably pop up around every corner like the creep he was. Obviously, he must have just been stalking Felix. After all, he did look particularly stylish and it was completely understandable.
It seemed that Gabby had much of the same idea, since she was soon linking arms with him and dragging him off to the bar. Giving Alfie one last smug look. Felix gladly followed along with Gabby to buy her a drink. Anything for Gabby, obviously. "Yeah, sure, sure. What would you like?" Felix asked as they slid up next to the bar. Felix rested his elbows on the bar and looked over at Gabby with a grin. She definitely needed more alcohol. "Get the lady anything she wants, on me," he nodded. Obviously, he couldn't let Alfie pick up all her drinks, since that just wouldn't be fair. He had to have the chance to be the awesome guy bringing drinks for Gabby. It wasn't like he was hurting for funds anyways, so buying a few drinks wouldn't make a dent in his pocket at all.

He got what he needs to impressin' Just look at the way that he dressin'
When Hallie jumped slightly, Braden gave her a weird look, not sure what, exactly, she was jumping for. However, he shrugged it off and settled back in when she adjusted herself and him into a position that she decided was comfortable. Bray was fine with that, since he could generally be comfortable anywhere. "Yeah, s'what I thought," Braden nodded, grunting out his reply. Hallie clearly didn't take very well to his comment, but he simply left it at that. He'd come to learn that sometimes it was best to just let Hallie freak out about whatever it was going on in her head and just sit there and look pretty while she did so. Saying anything would just make the situation weird and he definitely didn't want to deal with it. Generally, if there was a problem, Hallie had to be the one to bring it up or Braden would just let it go. He couldn't be bothered to care that much about issues.
Watching Hallie jump up to go talk to Alfie definitely didn't make Braden all too happy and he watched with a scowl as they started to converse. He didn't trust Alfie worth a damn and would kick his ass if he tried anything with his girl. He may have appeared generally nonchalant about most things, but there were definitely things that could get Bray riled up and that was one of them. Alfie Chase in generally was something that could get Braden irritated enough to get violent, angry and protective. Even just the way that Alfie addressed her made Braden even more angry with the guy. Sweetness? Who the hell did he think he was, anyways? Braden was about ready to hop up and just get rid of the guy altogether, but by that time Hallie had already come back over and Alfie was off to go bother someone else.
Shaking off the scowl on his face, Braden followed Hallie out to the dance floor. He was a lot less frowny there, probably because Alfie wasn't there with them. No, it was definitely because Alfie wasn't there with them. He didn't care if there were other guys there watching Hallie, since he doubted they would try anything with her while he was there. Alfie, he didn't trust to keep off of her. Obviously it was quite possible that the guy would do something the second that Braden turned his head the other way, so it was nice that the guy was off doing something else. Whatever it was, it was definitely better than him hanging around there with Hallie. He kind of felt bad for whoever was getting the guys attention now, but he wasn't going to complain since it wasn't him.
For a moment, Braden was a bit worried that she might suggest that they start dancing like Gabby and Felix, which he would have been greatly opposed to, but thankfully she just agreed with his request. He was out there with her, which obviously counted for a lot and she couldn't expect him to be okay making a fool of himself on top of that. Though, it didn't seem like Hallie would be going along with any other sort of dance either. "Ah, yeah. They're a bit much sometimes. We can just stand here and sway or whatever," he shrugged. Obviously, it was Hallie that wanted to dance, so he didn't really care what kind of dance they were doing. Well, as long as he didn't look entirely too stupid than he didn't mind.
When they started to dance, Braden was a bit surprised when she started to get closer to him. Honestly, he kind of wouldn't have been shocked if she had some sort of rule that you had to be ten feet apart while dancing or something. He was more than happy to let her go ahead and tug him in closer though. Even if he'd been doing pretty good not getting too overly sexual with her, he definitely wasn't going to say no if she wanted to do anything. Admittedly, when Hallie leaned in to kiss him, Braden was full on ready to just keep kissing her. However, that clearly wasn't about to happen since she had kind of just disappeared, blabbering some sort of apology or something stupid. Braden didn't know what her deal was and just watched her with a confused expression as she ran away. Bitch.
At that point, Braden kind of just considered getting out of there and giving up on the whole night out clubbing situation, but he had a feeling that Hallie probably wouldn't like that. After a few seconds of standing there, Braden took off after her with a rather loping gait and stopped just short of where she had started to pull Gabby along. "Err, if you wanted to leave you could have just said so, yeah?" he said, giving her a questioning look. Whatever her issue was, she needed to fix it soon, cause Braden didn't really have the patience to deal with any sort of drama. There was already enough of it surrounding that night and he definitely didn't want it to get any worse. That would just suck.
