Admittedly, Louis had been slightly offended by the fact that he was the only male chosen to be part of the entertainment crew. Sure, they had told him time and again that it was because they needed some "manly strength" to help make the routine really pop, but that didn't detract from the fact that he was more or less being asked to stand in as a male cheerleader. And, while he was generally open to most things, that was not one of them. However, Louis was also a very good natured person and so had taken it up without complaint. Of course, that was with a pep talk telling himself that he was the only guy there with a bunch of hot women. Though they had about an hour or two before they had to actually do anything, the instructor they had been working with over the past week to get things in order had requested that they be down on the grounds early to get a bit more practice in before the actual performance happened. Louis was a bit early to get down there and so he settled in to a spot a little bit further away from the instructor and quite close to the Black Lake. Surely someone would be along to help save him soon enough.

Hallie gave herself one more look over in the reflection of a window before she started walking towards the Quidditch pitch. Just for the event, she put her hair in a ponytail, and curled the waterfall of hair. And of course, as an extra accessory, Hal placed blue and bronze ribbons around the rubber band, to represent her house. Sure, the student team was composed of members from all four houses, but Hallie made sure that she was going to cheer extra for Dean Christopher. And of course she had to look cute, because not only was she part of the entertainment crew, but she didn't know who was going to be at the game; someone she might need to impress.
The pregame chatter reached Hallie before she entered into the actual Quidditch pitch. Her excitement for the day increased rapidly with each step she made towards the meeting spot for the entertainers. However, Hal felt slightly nervous, only because it had taken her a lot longer than the other members to get the routine down perfectly. She didn't want to embarrass herself in front of thousands of people, and she certainly didn't want to let her team down. She shrugged, and let it go, because Hallie didn't want to make herself anymore nervous then she was. Maybe she would get a quick practice in later, but for now she was focused on finding the rest of her team.

Megan wanted absolutely nothing to do with this whole charity event crap. It was a stupid idea and the fact that they had signed her up when she had so clearly stated that she didn't give a rats ass about their poor people was just bullshit. She had already skipped out on the majority of the pre-event practice sessions that they had deemed so important, so she really didn't see why she needed to bother showing up to the actual event itself. It wasn't like they could force her to participate, but perhaps for the sake of her position there at the school, she'd better. Rolling out of bed, a slight pounding in the base of her skull from the party the night before, Megan grumpily got ready to head down. She had no intention of joining in, but she would be there and that was all they were damn well going to get. Stalking out across the grounds, she saw Hallie a few feet in front of her and ran to catch up. "Hal, tell me you don't actually plan on cooperating with this shit, cause I'm not," Megan commented as she came up behind the girl. She saw one of the other members of their crew there, Louis Weasley, but she damn sure wasn't about to get caught talking to him.

Belle finished tying up her hair into a high pony tail as she headed off across the grounds towards the meeting pointing for the entertainment crew. Dressed in her dance get-up, the blond stretched her arms across her chest, a small smile on her face. Belle, unlike her other team mates, had been happy when she found out that she'd be on the entertainment crew. She loved to dance. She'd been dancing since she could walk and had been taking gymnast and ballet classes since she was eight. So being part of the performance was something she was very happy to do.
Belle's smile was quick to fade and her quick walk slowed considerably as she came up behind two of her team mates, Hallie and Megan. Belle was not a big fan of Megan at all. And had dreaded the thought of having to work with her. Luckily, Megan hadn't shown up at many of the training sessions. In fact Belle had hoped that she wouldn't show up today either. But, unfortunately for Belle, she had. Groaning to herself, Belle walked around the two girls, making sure not to hurry, (she didn't want to look like she was running away)and headed over to where Louis was sat.
"Hey" She grinned and sat down cross legged at his side. "You prepared for today?"

Much to Louis' relief, it didn't take much too long for the rest of the team to show up for the practice that was bound to happen soon enough. He first spotted Hallie coming along, but she was soon intercepted by Megan before he had a chance to run up and greet her. He probably still should have, but to be honest he preferred to avoid Megan if at all possible. She was a bit too grumpy for his tastes, so he was more than happy to see Belle coming soon after those too. Giving them all a friendly wave, Louis put on a bright smile as Belle sat down next to him. Turning to her, his smile turned to a lopsided grin as he nodded eagerly. "I think so, yeah. I mean, I'm nowhere near as good as you are, but I should be alright," he shrugged. Dancing had never been his forte, but he'd given it his best shot. "How are you feelin' today Belle?" he asked with a curious look.He wasn't sure if she was the type to get nervous before some sort of performance, so he wanted to make sure that she was doing alright.

A voice behind Hallie quickly snapped the girl out of her thoughts. She looked behind her to see who called, only to find her best friend running up the path towards her. She turned to give Megan a hug. Hey Megs. You look....well, messy. Hallie couldn't help but to notice that Megan looked like she literally just rolled out of bed. But hey, it worked for some people. Of course I'm going to go through will this. It's fun! She giggled. Hallie love these kind of events, and was especially happy that she was put on the entertainment committee. Of course it sucked that she couldn't have her typical cheer squad girls with her, but she was happy all the same. She grabbed the girl's hand and started walking towards where Louis was. And Meeegaaan. Please try to have fun. Otherwise I'll kill you. She smiled, and walked the rest of the way to Louis, with a spring in her step.

Shrugging a bit at Hallie's comment, Megan couldn't deny it. Sometimes, she didn't exactly bother to get herself all dolled up, since she pretty much looked hot no matter what. The messy look worked for her and for that, she was quite thankful. "If by messy, you mean sexy as hell, than yes, I do," she replied with a smug grin. Her grin was replaced with a reproachful frown, however, when the girl next to her expressed her excitement for the event. Not. Good. As much as she loved the kid, she hated the fact that she was so...not like the rest of them. However, there was no denying that she had Megan wrapped around her finger and if she asked for something, Megan would likely do it. "Yeah, fun. 'cause that's totally possible at some dumb shit like this," Megan scoffed, rolling her eyes but otherwise letting Hallie drag her along to where the other two were sitting. She attempted to smile, sort of, but it came out as more of a grimace than anything. Yeah, Hallie could do all the talking for them and she could just sit there and look pretty.

Belle smiled when Louis commented that he wasn't anywhere near as good as she was. Belle thought Louis had done pretty well over the last few training sessions and she'd been about to say so when he spoke. "Oh, yeah, I'm good." She smiled and lifted her arms to stretch them out in front of her. "A little nervous..." because she's never had to perform in front of such a large crowd before. Sure she'd danced in front of her parents and her siblings in the past but that was pretty much it. Lifting her arms above her hand, Belle clasped her hands together and arched back into a long stretch. ".. but more excited than anything." She finished and then glanced at Louis. "It won't be that bad.. right?" It was then that they were joined by Hallie and Megan.
"Hey." Belle greeted the two girls with a smile that didn't reach her eyes and was more directed at Hallie.

Louis smiled and nodded a bit, hoping that in some way he would be able to make everything more comfortable. The situation definitely wasn't ideal, given the fact that Megan was less than enthusiastic about even attempting to get through the whole experience peacefully, but Louis was quite determined to be as upbeat as possible. Eventually, he hoped, everyone would settle in to at least a peaceful existence, since the odds of them working together happily were slim. "Yeah, nah. It'll be totally great and you'll be the coolest kid in school when we're finished," he said with a grin. Of course, he couldn't say the same for himself, but he'd been doing a decent enough job with it all. "Hey guys," he commented, greeting the two other girls that had come up to where they were seated. "So, ah, if you want I'm all for treating the crew to drinks at the Three Broomsticks after the ball later to celebrate," he offered, hoping that the peace offering would help sooth the awkwardness that was starting to form amongst the group.

Making sure she didn't let go of Megan, simply because she knew her friend would run off, Hallie crossed the rest of the way to where Louis and Annabell were sitting. Hey guys! Aw Annabell, you look so pretty.Hal beamed with joy as a bubble of excitement rushed out of her. Isn't this intense? I've never done something like this before. The butterflies in my stomach are killing me. She laughed nervously and squeezed Megan's hand for extra comfort. Looking around the stadium at the quickly filling seats, Hallie couldn't help but to let the party atmosphere wash over here. She turned her attention back to Louis. Aw thanks Louis, that's so sweet of you! She rushed over to give him a big hug, and then turned to Megan. See Miss. Grumpy. Aren't you happy that you came now? She looked up at her friend with big blue eyes. Hal could totally tell that Megan wasn't in to this, but she would make it her mission to show the other girl a good time.

Megan was not happy that Hallie had taken hold of her and presumably wasn't about to let her leave any time soon. She'd have to stay and suffer through a performance and not to mention, she'd be stuck with people like Louis and Belle until it began. That was definitely a miserable experience, as far as Megan was concerned. She more or less let Hallie do all the talking, preferring to simply stand there next to her with a grumpy and clearly displeased expression on her face. Perhaps if she stayed quiet enough, Hallie would give up and just let her go. However, when Hallie squeezed her hand, she knew that she wouldn't be going anywhere. If Hallie was nervous, than she'd stay. She'd be grumpy, but she'd stay. Rolling her eyes slightly at Hallie's last statement, she shook her head a bit. "Hal, I'm pretty certain that he meant for like water. I don't drink water," she pointed out, still refusing to address the other two.

By the expression on her other team mates' faces, if Hallie didn't do something about Megan quick, things were going to turn disastrous. And she wasn't going to let her perfect day be ruined by some whiny, hungover bitch. Look, if you don't stop mumbling right now, I'm going to tell Sydney not to talk to you. And just so you know, we are going to go to Three Broomsticks with the team after this. Sometimes Hal just had to be stern with Megan in order to get her message through. Look, I tell you what. Peyton gave me some money. So if you be on your best behavior, I'll buy you all the fire whiskeys you want. And please do be nice to your team mates. I don't think they appreciate you being grouchy ALL the time.
She gave pleading looks to Louis and Annabelle, hoping that they would accept her sincere apology for Megan's behavior. This would be a more enjoyable experience if you would just put your feelings aside for the day, and do the best for me. She paused for a moment, to see if Megan was following her. Hallie didn't want to be rude, especially in front of Louis and Annabelle, but if they were going to make this work, she'd have to spell out everything she expected from Megan. She nodded towards the girl. Please Megan? Be a good girl for me?

Belle couldn't help but scoff a little when Louis said that she'd become the coolest kid once they'd finished. Belle didn't think she'd ever be 'cool'. Besides she was quite happy where she ranked on the social ladder. Popularity wasn't high on her list. But she had to admit that it was on her list. Being popular would be brilliant if it meant that she could rub it in the faces of the girls who had bullied and tormented her in the past. Sure it had been a while since she'd last been subjected to bullying but it was still a sore matter for Belle.
"Thanks Hallie, you look good too." Belle smiled but it faltered when Louis offered to treat the group to drinks after the ball. The last thing she ever wanted to do was have a 'friendly' drink with Megan. Belle forced a smile to show that she was open to the idea, even though she was already thinking up ways to get out of it if the others decided to go. Though she could hardly see Megan taking Louis up on that offer, so maybe she wouldn't have to make excuses. Watching Hallie beg Megan to be nice was quite amusing and had Belle a little interested. Did Hallie have some pull over Megan? Did Megan have it in her to be nice and co-operative. Belle doubted it. "I'm going to stretch." Belle said as she climbed to her feet. She dusted off her bum and then wandered a little way from the group so that she had a little more space to stretch out her legs and the rest of her body.

To be honest, Megan actually kind of felt proud of Hallie whenever she stood up to her. Irritated, definitely, but proud either way. Of course, she wasn't sure just how much of what she was saying would be listened to and followed along with, but whatever. Her nose crinkled up when she mentioned talking to Syd, since she knew that it was a definite possibility and that couldn't turn out well. "Whatever. I'll be good. Just, don't use Peyton's money. That's the devil's cash. I'll pay," she nodded. Of course, by "pay" Megan meant she would flirt with whichever bartender was on duty at the time to get free drinks for the lot of them, but that was clearly besides the point. "And, I'm not grouchy all the time. I'm just not super fucking peppy like you lot," Megan added with a snarl. It would be a difficult damn day if she was seriously expected to sit back and place nice for the next few hours. And without Peyton there? That was some shit. "But, whatever. Whatever you say kid," she relented, pursing her lips slightly. She still had yet to address the other two and probably wouldn't until Hallie had specifically asked it of her, but at least she wasn't straight up being a bitch.

Louis didn't care much for conflict and, were it anyone but Megan, he might have stepped in and attempted to mediate the situation a bit before it got out of hand. At the very least, it appeared that Hallie more or less had it under control at the moment, so that was good. Keeping a smile on his face lest the situation got awkward, he kept his attention more focused over on Belle, just in case. There was no telling when Megan might snap on someone for something as simple as looking at her, so he wanted to keep the conflict to a minimum in that regard. He gave Hallie a quick nod to show that he didn't mind taking the group out at all and then looked back away from the two for a moment. He bit his lip slightly when Belle said that she was going to go stretch, but nodded all the same. "Hey, yeah. I'm going to go grab some water and stuff, so if you need anything let me know," he said to the group, getting up to head off himself.
