Charlotte sat quietly at her table, her legs crossed in a very ladylike manner, her numb hands wrapped around a warm cup of steaming tea. She had bought the tea more to bring feeling back to her numb digits than anything; she didn¡¯t even like tea that much, to be honest. She would rather drink coffee, black, to be precise. She liked the bitterness, it woke her up. (Quite strange that she had a sweet tooth as well.) She shrugged back her sleeve and checked her watch absent-mindedly, barely taking note of the time, before she pulled the sleeve back over her watch and returned to warming her fingers. She counted the minutes in her head - she had been sat there at that table for just over five minutes, but the fact was that she was supposed to be at work at that very moment and every second felt like an hour. She would have been there already, had she not been feeling a bit dizzy when she woke up in the morning, and when she apparated, she realized that she wasn¡¯t at the Daily Prophet office. In fact, she was at Hogsmeade, and that level of inaccuracy made her decide that she was definitely unwell. She wasn¡¯t even sure she could get back by herself, which was what had made her decide to take refuge in Madam Puddifoot¡¯s.
And that was how she had ended up sitting in at a table nursing a cup of steaming tea in her numb hands and looking slightly pale, as if she were about to faint. She had stood up after about two minutes, fully intending to leave for work straight away, but she could feel the blood rushing from her head to her feet, and she sat down again immediately, looking even paler than before. It was another few minutes before she managed to gather enough willpower to get up, which she did, albeit slowly, and propped herself up on the table as she tried to blink the effects of the head rush away. After a few deep breaths, she reluctantly put the lukewarm cup of tea on the table and ventured cautiously out into the cold. She sure as hell wasn¡¯t going to let a little sickness stop her. Hell, she would walk home if she had to, despite the almost overwhelming giddiness. She wasn¡¯t going to let being mildly ill stop her. Empowered with determination, she stomped down the road, sneezing a few times and tearing up profusely, turning a corner and stopping abruptly. Despite the fact that she really wanted to go to work right now, Charlotte could just not handle it, and walked back into Madam Puddifoot's. ¡°Whoa there, careful,¡± she (to her embarrassment) near yelped, blinking her eyes rapidly to clear up the water and looking up at the person she so nearly walked right into. ¡°I¡¯m so sorry. I didn't see you there.¡± Charlotte said.

Typically, Alexis went out for the majority of her meals. Cooking was not, and probably never would be, one of her talents and now that she was out living on her own she had to find some way to fend for herself. Admittedly, she ended up stopping back by her parents place for dinner more often than she probably should have and they probably had a pretty good idea that she wasn't eating as well as she should, but she did what she could. It was nearing lunch time, at least by her clock anyways, and so she decided that it was probably about time to cut the machine she was running on at the gym and get going. Generally, her days were left up to whatever she wanted to do, since she only worked nights at the club, so Alexis found ways to fill the tedium whenever it was possible. Today, it seemed like a fairly good day to go take a trip over to Hogsmeade.
There was always the chance, when she went to Hogsmeade, that she might run into someone in her family, since the Hogwarts kids were frequently there. Alexis was the sort of girl that loved to be around her family and so, any chance to run into them was nice. Of course, she wasn't going to actively seek them out and make them think she was being a nosy older sister, so she simply apparated over to the outskirts of the town and started to walk along the streets. She didn't have anything in particular that she was shopping for at the moment, but she was of course distracted by things in the windows. Stopping here and there to admire things, it took her quite a bit of time to reach her eventual destination of Madame Puddifoot's. It was a cute little place and definitely a good place to grab a quick sandwich or something.
Taking a seat to the side, Alexis grinned up at the waitress when she came to take her order, getting herself a turkey sandwich and an iced tea. Typically, she would have spent the day out with friends and had lunch with someone from the Red Lantern or something, but today was one of those days where she just wanted to hang out by herself at the gym for awhile. Though, now that she was eating and sitting there alone, she was much more apt to want someone else to hang around. Being alone, unless it was something she had specifically wanted, never went well for Alexis. She was a people person and loved to be around others, which certainly helps explain her rather strange choice of jobs. She just liked people around and now, she wanted them.
Finishing off her meal, Alexis paid for it and quickly hopped up from her seat to leave from the place. She wasn't particularly paying attention, as per usual, and as she was going out from the door, she bumped into someone. Immediately, Alexis' eyes widened and she felt rather terrible about it. "Sorry, crap. That was totally my fault and I'm really really- oh, hey Charlie!" Alexis started to apologize, stopping once she realized that she knew the girl in front of her rather well. They went out sometimes to hit up clubs and parties and such, so she was a pretty cool chick. "Damn, you look kind of rough. You alright, mate?" she asked, giving her a rather concerned look. Alexis was the motherly kind of person and if something was wrong, she generally attempted to try and fix whatever the problem was.
