if we could party all night and sleep all day and throw all of my problems away my life would be easy There weren't many things in life that Harley really threw all of her heart into. Singing was one of them and the one thing she loved more than anything in the world besides her family. Another was organizing parties and if she didn't want to be an awesome crazy-famous rock starlet then she figured that organizing parties was the venue she'd go into for a career. Standing barefoot in the sand, hands on her hips, Harley surveyed her hard work with a huge smile on her face. Tiki torches littered the beach, the majority of them dotted out in a large circle surrounding the bonfire. The torches were already lit and the flames that licked at the air changed from orange to green to blue to purple to red and back again. That was a neat trick Harley had picked up from a seventh year a couple of years ago when she'd been fourteen.
Around the bonfire Harley had placed different color beanie bags, three two-seater couches and a number of towels across out across the sand, some under parasols and some scattered randomly. To the right of the Bonfire she'd set up two beach volley-ball nets. Strings of dragon fly lights that glowed a soft yellow, are wrapped around the posts and interlinked with the netting. She'd also thought up the idea of having wooden beams heading down into the water, each of them wrapped with dragon fly lights, just in case people felt like going for a splash. The last thing she wanted or needed was getting the blame for some idiot drowning because they went for a swim in the dark. Up on the beach, away from the water stood two open spaced beach huts. Inside one of them was the DJ, surrounded by large speakers, preparing music for the night ahead. There are two large sandcastles that have been built around two kegs. And by the side of them are large plastic cups of different colors, red, yellow, blue, green. Around the sandcastles are coolers filled with bottled water, fizzy drinks and juice just in case.
It had taken all day and had been hard work. Or not, Harley had sweet talked a bunch of seven years guys, James Potter included, to help her out. Which meant that she'd manage to get a sexy-ass tan for the beach party. After throwing on some denim shorts and a cropped shirt over her bikini, because the sun was beginning to set and the air was becoming a little cooler, Harley strolled over towards the main attraction of the night; The Volcano. Of course it wasn't an actual Volcano. It was a prop with a slide that started from the top of the Volcano and slid down into the alcohol-jelly filled pit that had been bewitched to bubble and steam like an actual volcanic pool. It was pretty damn awesome and Harley was beyond jealous that she wasn't the one who got to be sacrificed. Of course once Ilyana had gone down it then she guessed anyone could.
Thinking of Ilyana, Harley strolled away from the large Volcano and towards the bonfire that had yet to be lit, that honor would be Ilyana's since this was her party. People were already starting to arrive and Harley couldn't help but feel her excitement raise. Tonight was going to be amazing for sure. Helping the boys add the last pieces of wood to the bonfire, Harley dusted off her hands and placed them on her hips. All that there was left to do was wait for the arrival of Ilyana and everyone else.

Admittedly, any worries that she'd had about being the new girl had faded away rather quickly once she had arrived on campus. Although Carleigh hadn't exactly been the most welcoming, everyone else had been kind of amazing. For the most part, everyone had been great with welcoming her to the school and to the country and whatever else. Really, it was all kinds of fun so far. It wasn't exactly home, but it was fun for awhile and getting to know everyone had been rather exciting. She didn't like everyone that she'd met, but there were definitely a good number of people that she was starting to quite enjoy having around. Not to mention, some of them threw parties all in her honor and that was definitely something that she could get used to.
Obviously, she didn't want to show up to her party early and ruin any surprises that they might have been setting up, so she was taking her time with getting ready. Although she had told Dean that the dresscode was no dress at all, she was pretty sure that she had been kidding about that. As comfortable as she was with herself, she wasn't exactly ready to start prancing about naked in front of the rest of the people that showed up. Of course, that wasn't to say she wouldn't get terribly drunk later in the evening and get to that point, since it was certainly a possibility. Ilyana wasn't the type to get drunk far too often, but it happened and sometimes she got a bit crazy when she drank too much. Though, that probably would make for an eventful evening at least.
Honestly, Ilyana kind of wanted to just head over to the beach early and just spend the rest of the day there. After all, there was no way she could ever run out of things to busy herself with there at the beach. It was totally her place to be. However, she didn't want to spoil the party by hanging about to see what all they were getting up to, so she managed to distract herself by hanging out on the Quidditch pitch for the major part of her day. It wasn't the beach, but the effort she put in was definitely enough to keep her occupied while she waited about for the official party to begin. After all, it would be totally lame if she was the first guest to show up and she had to be at least slightly late. Perhaps not fashionably late, but enough to make it seem like she hadn't just been sitting around waiting for the party to start.
When it was about time to head over to the party, Ilyana left from the Quidditch pitch to start getting ready. It didn't take far too long to shower off and throw on one of her swimsuits. After all, it was something she was quite used to doing. Tossing on a shirt and shorts over her bathing suit, Ilyana decided that it was good enough. It'd all be coming off later most likely anyways, so it didn't really matter. Obviously, the most important thing to take care of was making sure that her surfboard looked pretty enough to go to the beach with her. She spent a ridiculous amount of time each day attending to her collection of boards, but since she was going to be taking one with her, she clearly had to give it special attention. Which, of course, meant that she had to sit down and buff it until it gleamed.
When she was satisfied that both she and her surfboard were ready to take off for the beach, Ilyana left from the castle and walked over to Hogsmeade so that she could apparate to the beach. With a quick pop, she was right where she wanted to be and definitely impressed with the setup so far. Harley was alright, definitely alright. With a rather bemused grin on her face, Ilyana jogged over to where she saw Harley standing, carrying her surfboard along with her. "Not bad, mate. I'll definitely say that this is kind of awesome," she said with a nod, stopping just short of where Harley was standing. There were already a good number of people milling about and she briefly nodded hellos to a few of them, but obviously Harley deserved her attention at the moment, since she was the one to have set the whole thing up.

if we could party all night and sleep all day and throw all of my problems away my life would be easy The turnout for the party was pretty damn impressive, though Harley knew better than to be surprised, after all everyone knew about the very awesome parties that she threw. Okay so she'd only ever thrown two big parties, but they'd been pretty wild and most of all, memorable. Or not, depending on how wasted you were by the end of the night. More and more people were spilling onto the beach and Harley, being the polite hostess that she was, waved and smiled, laughing when a guy shouted that she was "the bomb" and another shouted that she she looked hot. Well, that was obvious but it was nice to hear it.
Shaking her head with a small grin, Harley headed over to double check on the DJ who was busy mixing one song into another. He was playing a mix of muggle and wizard music and it all sounded pretty damn good. "Everything good?" she mouthed and when he gave her the thumbs up, Harley nodded her head and moved down to where the drinks were being served. Grabbing a red cup, Harley moved to the sandcastle and filled it with beer, before turning to take in the scenery on the beach. Her eyes did a slow sweep one way and were doing a sweep back when she spotted Ilyana heading over. "Heeey. Nice board." Harley commented, not that she could surf to save her life, she did know a little about surfboards though. When Ilyana commented on the Harley's hard work, she grinned. "Yeah, you like? It was nothing." she waved her hand in the air as if it hadn't taken her all day to prepare but grinned to show that she was playing.
"So. I haven't seen any crazy vamps around here." Harley commented, glancing around briefly, remembering what Ilyana had told her earlier, when they'd talked over an e-message. "This girl better not ruin the sacrifice." Harley said, her lips pulling into a line. "I might have to hex her dead ass if she tries." she gave Ilyana a wicked grin and took a mouthful of her drink. "So, socialize, have fun, get drunk. We'll do the sacrifice when it gets dark, so we can light the bonfire, which is all yours by the way. It'll be way more cool in the dark." Grinning, Harley turned her head to glance back over her shoulder and her face immediately screwed up into a dark glare. "Hey! Get the hell off of there. Now!" her voice rasped, the way it always did when she shouted, and she turned to look back at Ilyana. "Excuse me whilst I go kill that moron." she gave her a tight smile, before spinning on the spot and marching her way over to the volcano and the idiot that was standing on the top, swaying and cheering that he should slide down. "Damnit, Beaker I told you to get your stupid ass down!" There was always one idiot out to ruin the fun.

Bonfires had to be one of Honey's favourite events to attend. There was nothing quite like sitting around a bonfire with your friends beneath a blanket of stars and the glow of the moon, roasting marshmallows and telling funny stories. Of course these memories were of quieter nights spent around bonfires with people she knew. The bonfire she was heading to now was more of a party type gathering of students and people she wouldn't know. In fact the only reason she was going was because she had volunteered to be a secret supervisor when the Head of Hogwarts had learned of the gathering. He'd said he wanted professors there, incognito, to make sure things didn't get too out of hand and since Honey was only nineteen it wouldn't look too suspicious if she were there, whereas having a much older professor there would be pretty obvious.
A warm breeze welcomed Honey as she apparated to the edges of the beach and made her way across the sand. She was barefoot and clad in nothing but a white open back one-piece that according to the store clerk 'accented her sun-kissed skin wonderfully'. In all honesty wearing this swim-suit was a little daring for the nineteen year old. Normally she'd come to the beach wearing an overly large shirt and some baggy shorts. Honey had never been all that comfortable with showing more skin than necessary, (to say that she wasn't body confident might have been an understatement,) but a friend had talked her into wearing this swimsuit, claiming that she needed to show off her "banging bod" more. Honey had reluctantly agreed after much nagging on the condition that she could bring a t-shirt with her in case she became increasingly uncomfortable and wanted to cover up.
After making her way across the sand to where the drinks were, Honey shifted the shirt in her hands, placing it on her shoulder so that she could go about pouring herself a drink. Beer and alcohol wasn't exactly her scene, at all, so instead she went for the pumpkin juice, glad that whoever had planned the party had thought about providing non-alcoholic beverages. Once she'd gotten her drink, Honey slipped her shirt from her shoulder so that it was in her hand and moved to stand a little ways from the bonfire, which haf yet to be lit. Despite feeling a little out of place, with being the only professor here, Honey felt mostly at ease. The air felt warm and the atmosphere was surprisngly relaxing even with all of the people around.
"Professor Zeller! Looking hot!"
Honey stumbled forward a little after being patted heavily on the back, her face blushing beet red when the teenager who had complimented her shuffled past with a cheeky wink and a cocky grin. "Um- thanks..?" Feeling nervous and conscience all of a sudden, the blonde dropped her drink and quickly fidgeted with the white shirt in her hands, shaking it out so that she could pull it on over her head. The shirt was large, so large that she found herself getting stuck after trying to force her head and into one of the sleeves, leaving her jammed and struggling. Honey was 100% positive she'd die of embarrassment if she ever got out of this.

To be honest, Ilyana was a bit surprised that this many people had shown up just to celebrate her coming to the school. Though, really, she doubted that many of them even knew that was the point of the party, just that there was a party going on and that meant free food and free drinks. Ilyana certainly didn't blame them though, especially when looking around at the setup. There were some pretty crazy parties back home, but this was probably the biggest that she had really ever been to. However, it was similar enough to her usual sort of thing that it didn't really feel awkward or anything. Honestly, Ilyana was just ready to hop into the crowd and start having a good time before a certain vampire girl showed up and she had to kick some ass. Not that she wasn't looking forward to it.
Shaking her head a bit, Ily wasn't sure if Harley was kidding or not. To say that this was nothing in Ilyana's book would be complete crap, but who knew. Maybe this was just another day for someone like Harley and that was totally something Ilyana could get behind. She needed some fun to balance out all the other unfortunate crap she was dealing with and it seemed like she had found the perfect friend to give her just that. "Damn. If this is nothing than I'd love to see you put some real effort into it, yeah?" she commented with a wry grin, also giving Harley a quick nod when she said something about her board. It was one of those things that got plenty of compliments, which Ilyana loved. It was just too bad that most people around there didn't know a damn about how to surf. "I'll have to take you out and show you the ropes sometime," she added after a thoughtful pause. That could be fun.
Glancing back up with a chuckle, Ilyana gave Harley a bit of a shrug. To be honest, she had no idea if Kaiya was even still coming. Odds were she chickened out of their fight though, since obviously Ilyana was quite the badass and would win any sort of fight between them. "Yeah, man. I don't know where the thing's at. Just hope she knows what her ass is getting into. I bet we'd be real rough and tough," Ilyana nodded, a sly smirk arising on her face as she thought about it. It probably wasn't a good thing that she reveled in the thought of her and Harley taking on the vamp, but she did. It had been far too long since she'd gotten into a real tussle with anyone, let alone a vampire, and she rather missed it. Getting into fights like that was just something that Ilyana was comfortable with and she liked having that small bit of power over things.
As the conversation shifted gears, Ilyana's smile dropped to a more friendly and laid back one and she gave Harley a quick grin. "You bet, mate. I'll grab a coldie and get on out there," she promised, chuckling a bit as Harley raced off to take care of some of the rowdier guests. Wandering over towards the drinks, Ilyana picked up a beer from the pile of drinks and popped it open to take a sip. She wasn't sure where to start working the crowd and talking to people, since most people had already branched off into groups of people that they knew and well, she didn't really know many people. At least, she didn't know many of the people that were there at the moment. Instead, Ilyana lifted up her surfboard and made her way out towards the shore where the waves were starting to pick up and crash against the edge. That was definitely the place to be.

Parties weren't always Daniele's thing, but when they came up and she wasn't all too busy, she generally tended to show up. Besides, when there were free drinks and a beach involved, it was pretty hard to pass up the opportunity. She had no idea who the new girl was, nor did she really care, but she did know that she liked Harley and if Harley was throwing a beach bash it would probably be pretty damn good. It had been awhile since she'd been to a good party anyways, so it was worth the effort to apparate herself out there to the beach for a few hours just to get some fun in. She probably had work to be done, but it wasn't like she would have done it anyways, so it wasn't like she had any reason not to go to the party. At least, that was the way Dani liked to think about it. If she wasn't going to do it anyway, she may as well have fun not doing it.
Not being the sort of person that really cared all too much about her appearances, Dani didn't take too long to get ready. She threw on a bathing suit, just in case she had any need for it. Though, odds were she'd end up just strung out on the edge of the beach somewhere, looking up at the stars. At least she would have it for the beginning of the evening, since you never knew what could happen or who would be there. Honestly, Dani hadn't really asked around to see who all would be going to the party, since she was usually able to find at least one person that she got along with to go hang around with or whatever. Besides, even if there wasn't anyone in particular there, she would be able to just chill out on the beach, have a drink, whatever. She wasn't at all picky with what she did with her time.
Tugging a rather old, long shirt over her bathing suit, Dani figured she was about ready to leave. Grabbing her purse carrying the rest of the things that she'd need for a serious day out, Dani took off from the Ravenclaw tower to make her way over to the beach that the party was going to take place. It was a short walk to the outskirts of the grounds and Dani quickly apparated herself over to the beach. Upon her arrival, a light smile fell on her face as she looked around. The setup was definitely relaxed, which Dani loved. She was much more at ease in a relaxed atmosphere than in the hustle of much larger, more crazy parties. Though, she wouldn't deny that sometimes the crazy parties were exactly what she needed. Today, however, was a relaxed day and this was the perfect place to spend it.
Looking around at the various people, no one really jumped out as being someone that Dani particularly felt like hanging out with. Not bothered by the fact, Dani simply started to walk through the crowd until she came upon a rather strange sight. Someone was attempting to get into a shirt, but seemed to be failing pretty hardcore. Lucky for Dani, it was someone that she was quite fond of, Honey. They'd been in the same year back before Dani had started to fail her classes and stuff, so they knew each other pretty well. Walking over and tugging the shirt down over Honey's head, Dani couldn't help but let out an amused chuckle. "Already drunk? I'm impressed," she commented, having a feeling that drunk was probably the last word anyone could ever use to describe Honey. That just wasn't a thing that happened, despite her best efforts to change that.

Kaiya Zeller wasn’t too thrilled about being threatened by a werewolf. They were just big dogs, and as much as she hated to admit to it, she would be categorized as ‘the living dead’. She had taken over quite a few werewolves over the past few years and never really had an issue with them. One good bite and they were down, ripe for the picking. Kai had been told about some beach party, which she could already see going wrong. Ilyana would be there and probably Dean too, but Ravenclaws had quidditch practice that night, so he would probably swing by later. The blonde knew that this whole thing was set up to be a territorial battle. At this point, coming off as weak and backing down wasn’t an option.
Living in California, surfing was a pretty big part of her lifestyle as a kid. A lot of people in her area were into competing. Sure Kai entered a few of them here and there, mostly the local ones, but she wasn’t heavily into it like everyone else. She still enjoyed it, though she didn’t have much time for it anymore. Kaiya stopped by her beach house to pick up one of her old surfboards and change into a bathing suit before heading over to the party.
The sun was setting, reflecting the warm colors onto the surface of the ocean. The waves crashed perfectly, foam rolling onto the shore. The blonde scanned the crowd, spotting a handful of familiar faces, a few she wasn’t too fond of. Honey was here, which was quite a shock seeing as plenty of students would be there and not too many teachers, plus she didn’t seem to be the party queen kind of girl. She walked passed her sister, “Hey there, Hon. The water looks great,” a smile curled on her lips as she stripped out of her shorts and t-shirt, leaving them there in the sand.
Kaiya walked down to the water and dove in, immediately pushing the nose of her board down and ducking under a wave. It felt great to be back in the water again. It had been so long. The blonde sat up, straddling her surfboard and brushing some of her wet hair out of her face.
