oh the good life is out there somewhere,
so just stay on my arm you little charmer Molly bounced up the stairs to the Owlery, the letter for her mother clutched tightly in one hand. She'd been procrastinating on homework the night before and decided not to bother with trying to catch up on a Charms essay, but had instead opted to write the letter her mother had been nagging her to write for a while.
She came out onto the floor of the Owlery and scanned the walls for her own owl, a rather large and bad-tempered fellow who she hated most of the time. She spotted him perched near the top of the arching room. He had one amber eye open and was regarding her with a faint air of being extremely unimpressed, black feathers ruffled up from the wind that was breezing through the Owlery.
"Owl?" Molly tried hopefully, giving him an enormous, fake smile, "Fancy coming down here, buddy? I've got a letter for you to take to Mum."
Owl the owl, in response, merely shut his eye again and left Molly swearing on the floor below him, helpless, the letter perilously close to being ripped up in her anger. She turned suddenly, thinking she could here footsteps on the stairs, and looked hopeful. Maybe whoever was coming up would be able to help her send the letter.

I want you to love me, like I'm a hot ride Be thinkin' of me, doin' what you like
Getting used to the castle was still a major work in progress for Ilyana. Although she'd been there for a good week or two by then, she still had yet to really learn her way around the damn place. At some point, she hoped that she would at least be able to master getting from the dungeons to the great hall and back without completely taking a wrong turn and getting lost for the remainder of the day, but that had yet to happen. However, it was definitely something she intended to master before the month was out. That afternoon, she had been on her way back to the castle from a care of magical creatures lesson and to be honest, she had no damn clue where the hell she was. She probably should have taken someone up on their offer to escort her back, but she had politely declined. She was much to independent to rely on other people like that.
However, the more lost she was starting to find herself, the more she was starting to regret her decision to take off on her own. By now, everyone else that had been off in the distance was long gone, so she was mostly just ambling her way along in the direction of the buildings. She knew that she didn't go in the front door, at least, so she was aiming for one of the side towers in hopes that it would be the one she was looking for. The one that she was aiming for was quite tall, which kind of seemed familiar. Kind of. Than again, at that point just about everything was starting to look familiar, simply because she really didn't feel like walking around like a lost dog anymore. Yeah, Carleigh would sure as hell get a kick out of that one.
Reaching the large tower, Ilyana looked up at it before shrugging her shoulders a bit and entering into it. It didn't quite look like the right tower, but whatever. Maybe she'd get lucky and find someone in there that could point her towards her next class. Quickly getting up the stairs, Ilyana looked about curiously at the place. It was completely full to the brim with all different types of owls, which led her to the conclusion that this was the owlery and definitely not the astronomy tower. Tough break. Not to mention, the owls were quickly unsettled by her appearance. It was if they could sense the fact that she was a werewolf and were put off by the scent of her. However, she could also hear someone up above her slightly that was cursing up a storm. That was a promising sign and she was willing to risk attack by the angry owls. Sort of. At this point, Ilyana was pretty much willing to take what she could get, no matter what that brought.
Padding up the remainder of the stairs, she came across a decidedly unfamiliar looking girl. Not the ideal situation, but definitely something Ilyana should have expected. After all, it wasn't like she knew that many people in the school yet, so it stood to reason that she'd be most likely to come across someone she didn't know. "G'day mate. Need any help there? Owl givin' you some trouble, ay?" she questioned, looking up at the girl with a rather amused glint in her eye. The owls had just started to go even more nuts with her presence, so it wasn't like she could actually be much help. Ilyana didn't even bother attempting to hide her accent, since she was quite fond of it. Besides, she liked people to know that she was different. Being the new girl was something to be proud of in her opinion, not something to hide.

oh the good life is out there somewhere,
so just stay on my arm you little charmer Molly jumped as the owls suddenly started looking nervous, all shuffling around and ruffling up their feathers. She craned her neck to look out of the window and see if there was something flying around outside to unsettle them, but she couldn't see anything. Curiously, she glanced around the room, and then heard the quiet footsteps on the stairs outside. She turned towards the doorway, hopeful expression still in place, and then blinked in slight disappointment as an unfamiliar girl appeared. She thought it would be too rude to ask if she could borrow a complete stranger's owl.
Her disappointment quickly switched over to delight, however, as the girl spoke. Molly realised that she was the new girl, the Australian one. She'd heard about her from someone and had been dying to meet her for a while, but hadn't yet bumped into her.
"Yep," she replied to the girl's question, looking mournful, "He's a right bastard. He only ever consents to take my letters if I bribe him with owl treats, but I forgot them all this time. I wonder, though..." she said slowly, trailing off thoughtfully, and sliding her wand out of a pocket. "Do you think summoning charms work on owls?"
She stood there, staring up at the bird, subtly eying up the new girl out of the corner of one eye. She was certainly very pretty, and Molly envied her tan enormously. Having such pale skin meant she only ever got sunburnt rather than tanned in hot weather, and people who could go brown always made her jealous. Molly was sure that the new girl would probably have no difficulty making friends - the accent made her stand out and seem very unique, and Molly knew what a value uniqueness was.
"I'm Molly, by the way," she said suddenly, realising she had yet to introduce herself, "Molly Weasley. I'm in Ravenclaw, sixth year. You're in... Slytherin, right?" she questioned, the idea to just check the other girl's tie only occurring to her after she'd finished speaking. She smiled brightly over at the girl, hoping to be reassuring. Meeting new people was one of her favourite things in the world. She thought they were very full of possibilities and every new encounter was something to be enjoyed enormously.

I want you to love me, like I'm a hot ride Be thinkin' of me, doin' what you like
Noticing the rather less than pleased look the girl took on when she first saw her, Ilyana was slightly worried that she had done something to really piss the girl off. Being new, she was still walking on eggshells a bit around most of the school and definitely didn't want to bother any of them. As much as she loved trouble, she was putting off on getting into too much of it until she had settled in a bit more. Sort of. The whole thing with Dean had kind of come up as a bit of an accident. Though, now that she thought about it, there was definitely the possibility that the girl in front of her was his girlfriend thing and that would explain the less than happy first look. However, when it changed to a much happier glance, Ilyana loosened up a bit and decided that it was probably safe to relax. Though, that isn't to say she wouldn't hop right back up and into a fight if need be.
Her face took on a rather amused smirk at the girls troubles with the owl, completely understanding how dickish they were apt to be. Though, her troubles stemmed more from the fact that most animals tended to shy away from her anyways. "Ay, it's the only way I can get a bloody owl to come to me. They're not too fond of the scent of werewolf, apparently," she commented with a slight chuckle. Ilyana had always been very open about the fact that she was a werewolf, since it was just something that she'd been dealing with for her entire life. Back in Australia it was a lot less weird to tell people, since they mostly didn't care. Here, however, it seemed like it was a pretty big deal. Though, that hadn't stopped her from being completely upfront about the whole thing.
Her attention flicked back over to Molly when she introduced herself, nodding a bit to show that she was listening. Weasley...seemed to be a damn popular name around here. "Yeah, Slytherin. Or whatever it's called, I guess. Ripper to meet you, though, mate," Ilyana said with a bit of a smile. Admittedly, meeting all these new people was a bit intense, but she definitely didn't mind it. Ilyana generally liked people, for the most part, so it wasn't too much of an inconvenience. She probably wouldn't be assed to remember the majority of their names or anything, but it wasn't like she particularly cared. If she needed to remember someone, she would, but the rest...she didn't much give a damn.
Leaning back against one of the only parts of the building that was clean, Ilyana moved her sunglasses up to the top of her head to look over at Molly. "So, I've got a question for ya. How many Weasley's are there and how the hell are there so many of you?" Ilyana asked, a subtle smirk playing on her face. Even if she hadn't exactly been there that long, she definitely knew there were more Weasley's around the campus than made sense for one family. And since she had absolutely no qualms about asking questions, she didn't see a problem asking about that particular fact. "I swear I've met about ten of you," Ilyana added with a chuckle. Perhaps that was a bit of an exaggeration, but not by much that was for sure.

oh the good life is out there somewhere,
so just stay on my arm you little charmer Molly gave a smile of her own at the girl's smirk, unable to find the situation not funny. She listened to her speak and was quite surprised when she revealed that she was a werewolf. She'd never met anybody who was a werewolf before, but she knew Teddy's father had been and she'd always been keen to learn more about them. She didn't believe at all that they were vicious like some people tried to say they were. This girl seemed perfectly nice so far, and Molly knew from stories that Teddy's father had probably been the gentlest man who ever lived.
"I'm sorry if this is rude," she said once the girl had finished speaking, "But do you mind me asking how long you've been a werewolf for? It must be hard to get used to, and combined with a new school I can imagine it'd be pretty tough..."
Trailing off, she realised that she might have offended the girl, and hastily changed the subject. She really didn't want to annoy her or hurt her feelings, since Molly liked her an awful lot so far. She seemed cheerful and funny, which was Molly's favourite combination.
"Nice to meet you too," she said, still unsure of her name, "I bet you'll have fun in Slytherin, apparently the common room is really cool. Isn't there a big underwater window in there or something? Just watch out for the boys in my year though," she warned, prattling on merrily, "They tend to think they're Merlin's greatest gift to mankind, when really they're not."
Molly grinned as the girl managed to find a clean bit of wall - which were like gold dust up here - and shot one more grumpy look up at her owl before returning her attention to the Slytherin.
"We're cousins," she explained with a grin, noting the girl's smirk - coming to Hogwarts and being faced with so many Weasleys must be quite daunting, Molly thought, "Since our grandparents had seven kids, and six of them - five of which are boys - have kids of their own, you can probably see why there're so many of us. There's ten of us altogether, and then the Potters are related to us too 'cause Aunt Ginny was a Weasley before she got married. You can tell us from the others because most of us have red hair. Well, apart from Rox and Freddie, who don't really look much like us 'cause of Aunt Angelina. And a couple of the others too."
She cut herself off suddenly, realising that she really was talking far too much, and fell silent to wait for a reply from the other girl.

I want you to love me, like I'm a hot ride Be thinkin' of me, doin' what you like
Hearing Molly's comment, Ilyana was pretty certain that whatever she would follow up with would have to deal with her being a werewolf. It was something that she had been getting questions on her whole life and, to be honest, she kind of enjoyed talking about it. There was a lot of hate for werewolves within the Ministry and around the wizarding community and if she could help lessen that in any way, she definitely didn't mind. Of course, there were still the people that didn't give a damn that she was a pretty decent person, but if she could change the minds of just a few than she felt as if she were helping bring about some small form of justice for the rest of the werewolves like her. There were those that played up the role of people eaters, but she liked to think that most of them weren't so bad. Usually.
Molly's question was one that she'd heard before, quite often actually. "Awh, nah. I've been one my whole life, basically. Both of my parents were werewolves, so I got bit young. Didn't even know any better, so it's just always been something I've grown up with," she said with a slight shrug. Ilyana had come to terms with her being a werewolf long before and honestly, she quite loved it. Yeah, it was painful as hell when the actual change came about and she'd developed a few habits she could do without, but she didn't mind it usually. Besides, it definitely helped with her badass image. She was already pretty badass naturally with her rather uncaring and nonchalant attitude towards life, but the whole werewolf thing just made it more believable as far as she was concerned.
To be honest, Ilyana was quite amused by the girl's warning. She'd met and mingled with a few of her fellow housemates, some of which she was quite certain fit the bill as completely self-absorbed. However, Ilyana had come to enjoy their company, in general. Even if they were pricks, they were good for a fun time every so often at least. "Ah, yeah. It's pretty neat, I guess. I prefer to be out doing stuff though, so I'm not around the commons all too often. As for the guys though, they're not so bad. Quite fond of the lot of 'em so far," she admitted with a shrug. Perhaps Molly was saying it from experience, but Ilyana didn't think they were as bad as everyone made them out to be. Though, perhaps that was just because she was right there with them a lot of the time in their thinking.
Cousins, that explained it. Ilyana hadn't really been looking for much of a long explanation about it, but whatever. She wasn't going to tell the girl that she didn't care and she managed to retain a slightly interested look on her face as the girl discussed her family. "That's neat. Must be weird having all of them around, yeah?" she commented. Ily had never had siblings growing up and the closest thing she had to one now was Carleigh. Which, given the circumstances, definitely wasn't going all too well for her insofar. As far as she was concerned, the only real family she had were her mates back home and as soon as she was able to, she'd be right back over there with them. "Technically, I should be heading off to class, but ah, can't be bothered. What is there to do around here for fun?" Ilyana asked, looking up at Molly with a curious expression. She didn't know if Molly was the type to skip class at all, but she certainly hoped she'd at least not get huffy about it.

oh the good life is out there somewhere,
so just stay on my arm you little charmer Molly was surprised that the girl was so nonchalent about it, but she supposed that having been a werewolf for so long would mean it was something that didn't seem a big deal. Determined to match the girl's casualness, Molly smiled and replied, "Well, I'm impressed anyways. It must be hard to deal with everything at once, and you show no signs of any mental disorders which means you must be doing well. I'm sure most people would go crazy if they came to this place in the middle of the year."
Molly shrugged as the girl spoke of the Slytherins not being so bad, and while she wasn't exactly on-board with reformulating her opinion, she guessed the girl would have a different perspective, living with them and everything, "Well, I'm glad you like them, I guess. They must all fancy you like mad, since you're new and pretty and Australian and all," she commented honestly, meaning it as a compliment, "Your accent is really cool, by the way. I love it."
She nodded and grinned ruefully as the girl commented on having so many cousins around, and replied, "Well, I guess I'm kind of used to it. We all grew up together and we're pretty close, so it's kind of like having siblings around almost. Some of us argue a lot but we usually have fun. Plus it's nice to know there's always someone who has your back," she added, "Although they might stick 'funny' signs to it occasionally for their own amusement."
She put air quotes around 'funny' and then beamed at the girl's question, "Well, you're new so you probably won't get into trouble for missing class, just tell them you got lost. I've got a free period now so I can show you the kitchens or something if you want? There's lots to do here," she continued, sending one last vengeful look up at her owl before tucking the letter back into a pocket and resolving to use an owl from the post office in Hogsmeade, "For example, we could go and see if the Room of Requirement is lurking around? My Uncle George told me how to find it."

I want you to love me, like I'm a hot ride Be thinkin' of me, doin' what you like

Ilyana wouldn't really consider it all that impressive, but she certainly wasn't going to turn down a compliment and a chance to make herself that much cooler. "Well, not yet anyway. I've been known to fly off the hinge every so often, so you'd best be careful eh?" Ilyana commented, a rather devious look on her face. Technically, her comment was completely the truth. There were times, typically closer to the full moon, where Ilyana would turn into someone completely different almost. Some had described it as a feral, dangerous sort of persona and Ilyana certainly didn't want to bring that out any time soon. Of course, the threat of it amused her more than enough. Besides, she had to keep all these new people on their toes somehow, right? Obviously, she had to make her mark somehow and threatening people with a crazy werewolf seemed like a good way to go.
Clearly, the girl didn't quite agree on the fact that the Slytherins could be alright, but Ilyana wasn't going to go about trying to convince her. To be honest, she couldn't have cared much less about whether or not everyone else got along. "That's pretty much the case for most of you," Ilyana nodded. She certainly was enjoying all of the attention she was getting and was quite dreading the time when she was just another student. Though, she liked to think that it may never come since she'd still be the cool werewolf and she'd still have the accent. "Ah, thanks mate. It's definitely ace being Australian, I must say. Best country around, yeah?" Ilyana was a proud Aussie and quite happy to let everyone know just how great a place it was. After all, it did breed awesomeness like herself.
Truthfully, Ilyana was glad that she didn't have a bunch of family to have to worry about. She'd had a hell of a time getting along with the one "sister" that she had now, so she couldn't even imagine being stuck with a whole lot more of them. In a way, she had to feel bad for the kid on that one. Even if it meant having someone there to watch your back, it still meant that you had to live with them all. "Ah, well, I guess it's good you like havin' 'em around or what have yeh. Can't say I envy yeh, though," Ilyana commented with a shrug. The whole concept of a family was still rather foreign to Ilyana. Her parents had never been around, even when they were alive, so it wasn't like she'd had a strong base in that. At the very least, she had a strong bond to her beach bum mates back home, which was the closest thing to a family she'd ever had.
It seemed like the girl was quite alright with the whole skipping class thing, so Ilyana decided that she may as well hang out with her for awhile and see where it led. It wasn't like she really had much better to do anyways. "Yeah, alright. That sounds ripper, mate. Wherever you think is good is alright by me," Ilyana nodded. With one last amused smirk up at the owls, Ilyana started to head back down the stairs, assuming that Molly would come with her. "Long as you have me back by arvo for Quidditch practice, we can do anything, yeah?" she added, looking back over her shoulder at the girl. Hopefully, as far as Ilyana was concerned at least, this could lead to a good time or perhaps some trouble. She was born to cause trouble, after all.

oh the good life is out there somewhere,
so just stay on my arm you little charmer "I'm sure you're really scary and all," Molly reassured her when the girl warned her about flying off the handle, trying to suppress a grin, "But, and sorry about this, with a family like mine I'm quite used to people with extremely short tempers. Although I suppose none of them grow really sharp teeth and claws once a month..."
Trailing off, she looked at the girl with newfound respect, wondering if she really was as dangerous as she seemed to want Molly to think she was. Molly decided it was probably best to play it safe for now - besides, the girl was new, and Molly didn't want to be another source of unhappiness during what she was sure must be quite a hard time for the girl.
She chuckled when the girl boasted about Australia, and as she started to follow her down the stairs from the owlery she replied, "Well, I'm going to have to stick up for England here - it is my birthplace after all. We don't have kangaroos or anything but we did used to have an empire, which is pretty cool. Our accents aren't as cool as yours, though," she added regretfully, genuinely wishing she had a cool accent like the Slytherin.
She hopped down a couple of steps at a time, watching her footing to avoid tripping and crashing into the new girl - now that would be embarrassing - and laughed at the girl's comments on family, "They're not a bad bunch," she promised, "I mean, once you get past their general superior attitude. I love them to pieces and they always make me laugh. It's a talent of theirs." She smiled fondly at the thought of her family - she really did love them, no matter how much they annoyed her, and craned her neck around to see if her owl had come out onto the window ledge to watch her leave, in case she could try a speedy summoning charm on it. Unfortunately, it hadn't, and Molly was forced to abandon her hope of sending her letter today.
"We'll go to the Room of Requirement," Molly decided, smiling as the girl looked back over her shoulder, "I think you'll like it. It can be anything you want it to be. Well, except a place for hiding things. There was a big fire in that particular incarnation a few years ago and I think it's still sulking. It can't do food, though, so if you're hungry we ought to go to the kitchens..." she realised, her voice dropping off as she considered this, but then shrugged, "Well, we can do that second. And don't worry, I live in a family of Quidditch-obsessees, I wouldn't dare let you miss practice!"

Admittedly, Ilyana was slightly disappointed that the other girl wasn't at all intimidated by the fact that she was a werewolf. She liked when people held a certain respect for her and almost awe at what she was, since it made her feel rather awesome. Besides, she really could be dangerous sometimes. Contrary to popular belief, it wasn't just at the full moon that werewolves could be dangerous. She still had teeth sharp enough to rip someone apart and if angered enough could definitely slip into a completely different mindset. Of course, she tried not to mention that, just in case it freaked people out too terribly. "Aha, yeah. I guess a big family would lead to all different kinds of people," Ilyana nodded, shrugging slightly in response. As if she would know anything about family.
Ilyana paused to let the conversation taper down a bit, looking over at the change in expression that Molly took on. Feeling rather confident that she could interpret it as some sort of respect, Ilyana's lips turned up into a rather pleased smirk. It was definitely a good thought to believe that she at least had that, even if the girl wasn't particularly afraid of her. Ilyana figured that, in time, she would come to be known as much more badass around the castle. She was, after all, pretty damn awesome at it. "But yeah, I'd say I'm a bit more fearsome than your average person," Ilyana added with a grin. Perhaps she was a bit too nice sometimes to come off as scary and fearsome, but she totally could be if she wanted to be. She had enough scars to appear at least a bit intimidating, at any rate.
As Molly attempted to make a case for England's awesomeness, Ilyana simply shook her head. She'd been there for only a short few weeks, but she definitely had yet to develop any good feelings for the place. It rained too often, the beaches weren't right off the school, most of the people were too high strung, it all just kind of sucked. "Yeah, well, I guess we'll have to see. I'm still waiting for it to get good here," Ilyana shrugged. At some point, eventually, Ilyana was sure there would be something worthwhile about being there in England. Maybe. Though, obviously it would never be as good as being back home. She did kind of enjoy being the only one with the wicked accent around though. It made her feel particularly awesome and she quite liked it.
Although Ilyana wasn't particularly interested in having a big family, the fact that Molly seemed to genuinely like them all was rather outstanding to her. She couldn't imagine her actually enjoying having that many siblings and cousins. "Well, it's cool that you get along with 'em all. Ah've got one now, but we don't get on real well," Ilyana nodded. The other girl likely knew Carleigh in some way, since she'd been at the school for seven years, but she had no idea if the girl had heard anything about the fact that they were now somehow related. "Carleigh. You might know her," she added, just to clarify things. It only seemed fair, since she knew a whole lot more about Molly and her family than the reverse. Actually, now that she thought about it the girl probably didn't even know her name. Ah well.
Ilyana was pretty sure that she'd heard about the Room of Requirement before and she was pretty certain that it would be a pretty damn cool place to hang out. Food could wait till later, since she didn't exactly eat normal people food. "Yeah, that sounds ace. You'll have to lead the way though, eh?" Ilyana chuckled. Definitely best to let Molly lead her around, since she had no idea where to go to get to the Room of Requirement. "So ah, what are we going to make it?" she asked, referring to the setup of the room. Since it could be anything ever, Ilyana was pretty excited about spending the rest of her afternoon doing something exciting. Certainly, it'd be better than doing absolutely nothing or going to classes. Waiting at the exit of the Owlery, Ilyana leaned up next to the door and looked over at Molly in waiting.

oh the good life is out there somewhere,
so just stay on my arm you little charmer "You have no idea," Molly said honestly in response to the girl's comment about family. She reckoned her family was about as varied as you could get, what with the noisy lot and then the quieter ones and the reckless ones... sighing, she carried on down the stairs. She wasn't able to see the girl's face behind her, but she guessed from her tone that she was pleased about something when she made the comment about being more fearsome than your average person.
"I think you most definitely are," she informed the girl with a grin, glancing over her shoulder, "You've got the whole Slytherin thing to match so you'll be just fine."
Molly mentally shrugged as the girl sounded pretty unconvinced about England, bounding down a few more steps and coming out of the owlery into the main part of the school, "Maybe you could do some sightseeing over the holidays or something?" Molly suggested, turning to smile up at the girl, "It sounds lame but you'd see loads of the cool stuff England has got. What..." she paused for a moment, not really wanting to betray her ignorance but deciding to plough on anyway, "What sort of things do you do in Australia? I don't know much about it, I'm afraid."
She brightened when the girl mentioned Carleigh, and smiled as she said, "Yeah, I know her. Everybody probably knows her. I think she's awesome," she said honestly, "You're lucky to have her for a relative. And I get stuck with people like James," she continued with a fond yet exasperated smile, "Who has difficulty taking anything seriously." She was aware this was not an entirely true statement, but it was James so she said it anyway.
Heading down the corridor and around a corner, Molly began to lead the girl to the Room of Requirement, bouncing slightly as she walked and grinning as she answered, "We can make it anything you want. If you want a history lesson we can make it the way it looked when it got Fiendfyred during the Battle of Hogwarts, or we could probably even make it a beach if you wanted it to be..."

I want you to love me, like I'm a hot ride Be thinkin' of me, doin' what you like

Not particularly interested in talking much more about families, Ilyana simply grunted in response to Molly's comment. At times, Ily could be a rather gruff person and when she didn't want to talk about something, that generally was the end of it. She didn't really give a damn, as long as she didn't have to waste her time on nonsense. It was probably because of this that she had been sorted into the Slytherin house, since it was often the source of her less than personable qualities. Of course, since she was in a new school and all that she had been trying to not let it get the best of her. Admittedly, though, there were times when she certainly wanted to just blow people off and go ahead with her own little world, not at all concerned with the others.
Her eyes did brighten up slightly when Molly agreed to the fact that she was rather fearsome. "Mm, fantastic. Guess it's not so bad being a Slytherin than. We're a rather awesome bunch," Ilyana nodded. From the little she'd seen of them, generally she didn't mind the lot of them. Some of them weren't exactly her type, but for the most part she'd had a good experience meeting the lot of them. Besides, if it made her more badass to be a Slytherin, than she certainly couldn't say that she was against it. Besides, some of the other houses seemed kind of lame. She was definitely glad that she wasn't part of the bunch that studied all the time or the Hufflefluffs, or whatever. That just sounded ridiculous. Though, the Gryffindors she'd met so far weren't so bad and generally should could say that she quite liked them.
To be honest, Ilyana didn't care enough to go about the whole sight seeing thing. Sure, it might have revealed a different side of the place that could actually be interesting, but it wasn't like she had plans to stick around for too long. She wanted to go home. "Ah, maybe. I probably don't have all that much to do over holiday anyways," Ilyana shrugged. Probably wouldn't bother, but the thought was there and if she decided to, than that was that. It definitely was easier for her to launch into a tirade about her home country, since there was obviously so much awesome there that it was almost too much to handle. "Well, shit. There's a lot to do. Personally, I'm a bit of a beach bum, so I was always out on the sand. Surfing, snorkeling, sometimes scuba diving. The reefs there are amazing to see. Definitely an experience everyone should have," Ilyana nodded. Obviously there was so much more, but Ily liked the beach best and she doubted that Molly wanted her to sit there for hours and listen to her prattling on and on about Australia.
The fact that anyone could think Carleigh was awesome simply astounded Ilyana. Seriously? Awesome? The girl was a straight up bitch most of the time and Ily had no idea how she'd come to have any friends at all. "Lucky? Like hell. She calls me a dog and finds it hilarious to set her damn animal on me to scratch up my arm," Ilyana grunted, rather irritably. She could understand somewhat where Carleigh was coming from, but it was a bit much sometimes. She could have just left her the hell alone and that would have suited her just fine. "She's a right damn bitch most of the time, really," she added with a slight snarl to her voice. It was quite obvious that there was no love lost between her and her new "auntie Carl."
Ilyana raised an eyebrow slightly at the suggestion that they have a history lesson, since that was generally about the last thing that she wanted. "I'm goin' ta have to pass on the history lesson, mate. I'm voting we hit up the beach. You know how to surf at all?" Ilyana asked, cocking her head to the side so that she was looking over at Molly expectantly. She'd be a tad surprised if that were the case, to be honest, since that wasn't exactly a common skill around here from what she could tell. A pity, of course, but she supposed it was to be expected since they weren't born and raised in the ocean. Hell, she'd practically learned to surf before she could walk. It was just part of the culture she was brought up in.
