I can’t find the words to explain, Just how much you got me going insane. Lost in his thoughts, Dean almost didn’t hear his teammates screaming at him to move out of the way. He gave one of the chasers a confused look, as she was waving frantically on her broom, clearly trying to get his attention. Unsure why, Dean felt a rush of air whiz pass his ear, noticing that a damn bludger almost took off his head for the second time since starting practice an hour ago. Muttering a quick thanks to the girl, and smiling at the concerned worries of his first year fans in the stands, Dean tried to pay attention to his team, attempting to get them ready for their upcoming match against Hufflepuff. As captain, he felt responsible for every loss they suffered, and ultimately refused to fail his team in any way. But although the Ravenclaw was typically on top of his game, he wasn’t paying much attention to his surroundings, and was rather thinking of his plans for the night. Since the charity ball, Kaiya and he had been considered an item, and yet he still hadn’t taken her out on a date. In fact, it seemed as if nothing changed between one of his closest friends and him, as they still hung out like best friends would. Kaiya made it a point to be at almost every one of his practices, and definitely every one of his games, and yet, Dean had given her nothing in return. Truthfully, he was a bastard to her, as she was completely committed to him, and Dean was fooling around with the new Slytherin, Ilyana.
Which is why, rather than spending the night in a foreign country with the surfing Slytherin, Dean opted to take Kaiya out on a legit date. He wanted to show her that he was cool with the idea of them being together. Honestly, he wasn’t much of a player, but Dean did have a tendency to flirt with just about any passing girl, and yet there was something different with Kaiya. Best friends since she started at Hogwarts, Dean found himself just being normal around her, without trying to act all macho and cool. Kaiya was always the girl that he went to when he had women issues, and she constantly made him smile when they were together. She was the type that he would get mad at, but be over it in a few seconds, that he could be playfully harsh to, and she’d give his crap right back. Some of Dean’s friends said that the two would get together eventually, and perhaps he realized that he did have some sort of feeling for the girl. But too afraid to act upon those feelings, as he didn’t want to ruin one of the best friendships he had, Dean just let the thought of them being an item go, especially because he never knew what her thoughts on the idea was. Until the ball, when they kissed. And from then, Dean and Kaiya were the power couple of the Ravenclaw house.
Snapping to attention when yet another bludger narrowly missed his head, Dean called off the rest of practice. They had enough for one afternoon, and he needed to get his head on for the night. Feeling like a complete dumbass, because this was their first date, Dean didn’t know how to approach this dating thing. Typically it was the girls who asked him on the dates, and took him out—he only paid for dinner. Knowing from their conversation earlier that she couldn’t have Italian food, what vampire can, Dean decided to take her out to Chinese food, his all-time favorite. But that still didn’t answer the question of their after dinner plans. So, completely out of ideas, the seventh year reluctantly went up to the stands to ask his loyal first year fans what they think he should do. Of course, most of them were annoyed that he wasn’t asking them out, but the realistic bunch of the group told him that either a movie or romantic walk in the park would be nice for any girl. Nodding his head and smiling, Dean quickly made his way back to Hogwarts, so he could jump in the shower in the prefect bathroom, and get ready for their date tonight.
While getting ready, doing nothing out of the ordinary other than putting on jeans and a nicer shirt, Dean found himself getting excited for the night. Although he already got very nice birthday sex from his girlfriend, the guy was ready to show Kaiya his true feelings for her. While he hadn’t expressed this to her directly, he found his heartbeat speeding up every time they were around. And Dean absolutely fell in love with her every time he looked into her big, beautiful blue eyes. He couldn’t help but to feel like a dork around her, and even though he knew it was dangerous being around her, that didn’t stop him. The notorious flirt never felt this way around another girl, and he quite liked the feeling. It was sort of like nothing else mattered when the two of them were together; it was just Kaiya and Dean. Thinking about it now, Dean felt like a complete ass, especially since he almost dumped her for Ilyana. And even when he didn’t, he was still juggling both girls, although Kaiya never knew. From that moment on, he knew that he would strictly keep his relationship exclusive with Kaiya, as he didn’t even deserve her in the first place. Especially after she made it a point to support his first love, Quidditch.
Heading back towards the Ravenclaw common room, Dean finalized their plans for that night in his head. First they would go out to Chink food, and then go watch a scary movie after. Even though she said she wasn’t scared easily, Kaiya promised him that she’d still act that way so he could comfort her. Stereotypical muggle move, and yet Dean thought that’s how it should happen. Perhaps he would take the first years’ advice, and take Kaiya on a romantic walk, or maybe they would come back to his room, and he’d get lucky. He didn’t know, as tonight was kind of a go with the flow sort of thing. Upon arriving at the common room, Dean noticed that Kaiya wasn’t in there, which meant that she wasn’t waiting for him. Satisfied, he asked some random sixth year that he didn’t know the name of to tell her he was ready. Watching the girl run upstairs to the girls’ dormitory, Dean frowned, as he forgot to get some sort of flower for his girlfriend. Unconcerned with the small details now, Dean anxiously awaited the arrival of his girl, while sitting on the arm of the blue couch in the room.

Kaiya Zeller stood on the side of the quidditch pitch with a book held under her arm, a little smile curled on her soft, pink lips. She had just stepped out of the library, her second home. The library was the girl’s safe haven. If she wasn’t in class, the blonde was in the library or stopping by to watch her boyfriend’s quidditch practice, like today. She would have been sitting in the stands, but Dean seemed to be distracted enough at is was. Almost hiding, she watched in horror as a bludger narrowly missed his head. The girl gasped, her blue eyes widened and then relief flooded over her as he smiled at the first years in the stands. A people pleaser, that’s what that boy was and it made his girlfriend smile. Leaning her shoulder and hip up against a support beam for the stands, she watched the practice. Kaiya was at all of them, whether Dean noticed it or not. She always was and she always will be. It was a small gesture to show that she supported his dreams. The girl understood his love for the sport, similar to her love for books.
Kai had plans with Dean tonight that she was excited for. She was being taken out on a legitimate date, the first one since they had gotten together. The girl didn’t expect it to be any different than it had ever been. After all, they have been close friends ever since second year. It was like this was the first time she had eaten dinner or watched a movie with him, but it was their first time as a couple. Nothing has really change since the transition from friends to romance, except for the fact that it became acceptable to make out in public. Kaiya wasn’t a huge fan of that little act because she didn’t like drawing too much attention toward herself, but there was nothing she could really do seeing as she was dating the captain of the Ravenclaw quidditch team, she was allowed to put on a bit of a show. Another bludger barely missed the boy’s head causing him to call off the rest of the practice. As the team walked back into the locker room, Kaiya turned and headed toward the castle entrance.
There was a bit of a downside to dating Mr. Dean Cattermole, as there was to every relationship. It couldn’t always be rainbows and butterflies. Seeing as he was a quidditch captain and extremely good looking, girls always had their eyes on him. Kai wasn’t the jealous type at all, but the rumors and all that nonsense got to her. She knew about the whole thing between him and Ilyana, heard it from the wolf’s mouth itself, though she kept her mouth shut no matter how much it bothered her. The fact that the girl knew her secret bothered her even more. Ilyana had practically been blackmailing her with it ever since she started messing around with Dean, as if it was supposed to make her cry or something. Sure, it worried her quite a bit. Who would want their deepest, darkest secret revealed to the whole school? But she really didn’t want some bitch getting in between her and one of her best friends.
Kaiya walked through the heavy front doors of the castle and made her way up to the Ravenclaw common room, passing the prefect’s bathroom on her way up the stairs. It made her wonder about becoming a prefect herself. She could definitely handle it, and it would give her an excuse to be out of the common room at night. It would make things easier to satisfy her cravings. The students would listen to her because she wasn’t harsh in any way when talking to them. In a way she already acted as a prefect, minus enforcing the many rules. Plus, she would be able to share the bath with her boyfriend.
The blonde walked up the spiral staircase to the top of the Ravenclaw tower and stopped on the fifth floor, in front of a door. The brass eagle knocker was lifted and gently tapped against the wood. A voice rang out “Which came first, the phoenix, or the flame?” it asked her. Kaiya Zeller didn’t even have to think twice about the answer. “A circle has no beginning,” she spoke softly and the door swung open. She entered the circular room, walking past the marble statue of Rowena Ravenclaw up to the dormitories where a few girl sat on their beds chatting, most likely about her and Dean’s evening. The two of them seemed to be the talk of the school, or at least the talk of the common room. The chatter hushed as she entered. Kai walked to her bed and rummaged through her trunk for something acceptable to wear. She wasn’t going to go all out because they were only going to the movies, but she did have something in mind. Throwing that outfit on, she brushed on some mascara and lipgloss and fixed up her hair, letting it fall in loose curls around her head. She really wasn’t doing anything different than she normally would.
Kaiya picked up her book and laid down in her bed, opening up to the page where she left off. A few pages in, she was interrupted by one of her friends telling her that Dean was ready and downstairs. The blonde smirked a bit and placed her book on her pillow to continue when she got back. Kai slipped her shoes on and walked down the stairs into the main room. Dean was sitting on the blue velvet couch in front of the fire, the flames jumping around and crackling. Students sat in other chairs, scattered about the common room, eyes glanced over in their direction in curiosity as Kaiya closed the space between her and her boyfriend. Here was the show that they were waiting for. She slid into his lap facing him, stradling him. The girl draped her arms over Dean’s shoulders and kissed him, “Hey, stranger,” she said with a certain glimmer in her sky blue eyes. Kai felt sexy and she was going to act how she felt. “I saw your practice earlier. The team is looking great, keep it up,” she smiled. The blonde was proud of him for his accomplishments, hoping that he would continue working toward his goals. Maybe Ravenclaw would win the cup this year, who knows?

I can’t find the words to explain, Just how much you got me going insane. The Ravenclaw didn’t have to wait too long before his very hot girlfriend came bouncing down the stairs from the dormitories. As soon as he heard the low whistles from the fourth years, which they received death stares for, Dean lifted his head to see Kaiya closing the gap between them. Dean didn’t say a word until she was comfortably seated on his lap, and her soft lips were on his. Mmm, hey there yourself, sexy. I could sooo get used to this. He kissed her back, and then realized the other people in the room were staring. As they had damn reason too. The blonde sitting on his lap at the moment was hot, she was stunning, she was drop dead gorgeous, and she was all his. Dean looked his girl over, and gave one of those fourth years’ low whistles. Damn Kaiya. You really know how to make a guy happy. He smiled, took her hand in his, and leaned in for another kiss. Pulling up for air, but still close to her ear, Dean whispered to her. If we don’t get out of her now, I’m just going to have to bring you upstairs. And then the plans for the night will be ruined. He waited for her to get off his lap, and started off towards the ground floor of the castle, where he could apparate them to some random restaurant.
As they walked towards the heavy front doors of the castle, Dean and Kaiya made small talk about their day. He was interested in what she was studying for in the library, and even more so that she was at his Quidditch practice. Hah. So you saw me almost die…three times. It was true; Dean wasn’t exactly paying attention to practice, and came into the dangerous path of a bludger, three times. Now thinking about it, he didn’t remember seeing Kaiya there, perhaps he was too distracted by his concerned first year fans, but he knew that she was always there. From the beginning, when the two were defining the relationship, Kaiya promised that she would never come in between him and his first love. One of the many reasons why Kaiya was Dean’s best friend. He smiled, as they pushed the doors to the castle open, and walked on to the grounds. Still unsure about their plans, Dean decided on a whim to take to her to Chinatown in New York, one of his favorite places to get food, and then take her to a club closer to home. Taking Kai’s hand, but without tell her where they were going, Dean apparated the two to the city that never sleeps.
Although he’s been to the city of lights many of times, Dean didn’t know of the blonde had been, and so it could seem a bit overwhelming at first. Honestly, a person could spend at least a month in the city and never grow tired of the hustle and bustle atmosphere. Welcome to Chinatown, New York. One of my favorite restaurants is located right across the street. Dean pointed towards an authentic pagoda with a fountain in the front. He led the girl through the romantic Zen garden, and up to the host, who happened to be a very good business associate of his father. Oh, Mr. Cattermole. Good evening. Table for two right this way. His father did business often at Chang’s, so Dean could just walk right in whenever he wanted, and never had to worry about the bill. Smiling at his girlfriend, Dean pulled out her chair when they arrived at their very private table. He sat down himself, tapped the floor to ceiling, wall to wall aquarium to his left twice—a very weird habit for his family whenever they came—and gave Kaiya a moment to look over the menu. So. What do you think? He hoped this was okay for a first date, and that she wasn’t stressed out with all the unfamiliarity. In fact, Dean was momentarily beating himself up. Not only did he take her to a different city, he took her to entirely new country. Heck, an entirely new continent. Hopefully it didn’t ruin the night for Kaiya.

“I hope I can,” Kaiya whispered to him. She wasn’t the type of girl to make out with her boyfriend in front of a bunch of younger students, but it seemed to be becoming a bit of a habit. Wherever Dean was, there were quite a few girls, not to mention the few guys that popped up when she was walking around. It would take some time to get used to all of the staring people around her, but she had all the time in the world to learn to cope. The blonde was already learning to pretend they weren’t there watching. It was just her and her boyfriend. “I try,” she said, a smile curled the corners of her mouth. Dean leaned in for another kiss and Kai couldn’t help but to give it to him. The girl deepened the kiss. He was a damn good kisser and she was sure that she was as well. Dean pulled back and whispered. She could feel his soft breath on her ear. “We wouldn’t want to ruin the plans for tonight, but you can look forward to that when we get back.” The blonde slid off of his lap slowly, running her fingers down his chest.
Dean began to lead her down the stairs, chatting it up about how their days had been going. Kaiya nodded, “Yep. It was quite terrifying. You ought to wake up out there. I don’t want to see you in the hospital wing.” Honestly she was a bit scared for him out there today. Seeing him barely avoid multiple concussions was not something she wanted to watch. Though if it got to the point, she would definitely redirect the bludgers away from him to keep him out of the hospital. Kai had been to St. Mungos and she would try her hardest never to have to go back there again. When she was attacked in her second year, she was taken there. The potions in the hospital wing weren’t strong enough and they couldn’t even tell what was wrong with her. At St. Mungos she was poked and prodded, tested and retested. It was a living nightmare, or actually a dead one. The two continued walking to the ground floor where Dean took her hand and apparated out of the castle.
The couple appeared on a street in a bustling city. Neon signs and street lights beamed down on them almost like spotlights. Muggle cars drove crazily up the narrow streets, people weaving in and out of them dangerously. Kaiya honestly had no idea where they were until Dean told her. Chinatown. She had never actually been here before, though she had read about it. The town was much different than they described it in the books. They walked through the garden. It was quite romantic and she loved it. It didn’t take much to please this girl, but then again she didn’t ask for much. She was happy with everything, and this, he took their date to a whole new level. The two of them were led to a private table surrounded by one of the biggest fish tanks she had ever seen outside of the aquarium. Kaiya looked over the menu for a moment choosing her favorite noodles. “This is wonderful, Dean. Thank you,” she said with a smile, her eyes were the same blue as the background of the fish tank, twinkling in the light. “This is absolutely amazing,” she spoke, her eyes wandering around the room. She ran the tips of her fingers across the glass of the fish tank.
