Being kidnapped, while rather inconvenient, wasn't as bad as you would have thought. At least, Erinn was rather enjoying herself. The kidnappers were pretty friendly and it was more people than she'd talked to in a rather long time, so she wasn't too bothered by the shackles and the fact that she had to sleep out in the forest. It was kind of like camping, since there was a fire going and they had a tent for her to sleep in, so if she forgot the fact that this was probably a dangerous situation, it was pretty fun. Besides, Jared the kidnapper was a babe and liked to make smores, so he was lots of fun to have on watch. Some of the others were kind of grumpy, but she was usually stuck there with Jared, so she was having a good time with it all. Plus, the longer she was there, the more other people got to worry and Erinn quite liked the thought that everyone was worrying about her. Even if they probably weren't.
Tugging at the chain that kept her hand attached to the tree so that she couldn't get away, Erinn frowned slightly when she saw a figure coming through the woods. She had been alone for the last few minutes, which was nice, but now someone was going to come bother her. Stupid. However, when the figure came closer and she realized that it was Jared, Erinn's face brightened up slightly. Obviously, this would bring good things. "Hey J-man, what's goin' on?" she called out as he came to a halt. He had to go through his motions of putting up protective spells and all that, but it took just a few moments and before long he was seated next to her by the fire and getting to work on making lunch for the two of them- more smores. Probably not the healthiest lunch ever, but it was delicious.
Once she had finished eating, Erinn was pretty much bored. Though she was having a fairly good time being kidnapped, it could be a bit tedious at times just sitting there and being utterly bored."J, we should do something fun," she suggested, looking over at him with a rather hopeful look. Maybe he had cards or exploding snap or something. Though he gave her a look like he thought she was completely stupid, Jared reached into his pocket and took out a regular deck of cards that they could play with. "Alright, kid, bring it on," he said, giving her a challenge in a game of war. It was an easy game that didn't require Erinn to move much, which was pretty much all she could do given her chains. She was tempted to ask him to take them off, but she didn't really want to upset the guy, especially when he was playing games with her. Kidnappers were so much better than everyone else.

For the past few days, or ever since she had found out, Nika had been pulling strings in the Death Squadron to find out where Erinn was being kept. Her girlfriend had been one of the handful of students that had been taken hostage. This is what she returned from Bulgaria to. A disaster. Couldn’t they have waited until she returned home? This was a spontaneous thing, very poorly planned out if you would have asked her. Nika knew nothing about it until she reached England. It was quite pathetic actually. Her father had a huge influence on the group. Maybe he knew and chose not to tell his daughter. Maybe he planned it all out and made sure that she would never find out. Well, she found out and she wasn’t happy about it. It was just more work for her.
Nika huffed as she grabbed her wand off of her nightstand and walked down stairs, grumbling to herself through a clenched jaw. She would summon her broom later for Erinn when it was necessary. Closing the door harshly behind her, the girl flew off into the darkness of the night. This was an instance when being a raven animagus was helpful. No muggle questioned a bird flying around. It was the human on a broomstick that aroused suspicion. Nika reached the forest and combed it from above, her beady green eyes noticed a cloud of smoke rising. She circled the area, and spotted a familiar face tied to a stump below, diving down, piercing the tops of the trees. Thank you, Val, the girl thought to herself. Perching on a sturdy branch, Nika morphed back into her human form. Looking down on the two playing cards, she spoke, “She’s a hostage, Jared, not someone to entertain until Marcus comes around,” a scary, malicious smirk crawled across her lips.
Nika had a whole plan worked out in her head and she had to look convincing. It was fool proof. So help her fool of a girlfriend if she screwed it all up. Nika held authority in the Death Pack and Jared, who she was practically on a first name basis with, had no reason to question her. “I’m here to take your shift, and treat this kid like a real hostage. A few more hours and you’d probably be playing Tea Party with her. Go back to the base. I think they have some other shit for you to do, something that suits your style more,” she spoke expressing disgust. Nika was truly disappointed in the way a fellow Death Squadron member treated a kidnapped hostage. “The Marauders will have a hard time taking us seriously if they hear about this. And I’m here to make sure that she doesn’t squeal. Or even make noise.” Her tone was very convincing and normally she would rip their tongues out and torture them until they were barely functional.

The fact that she had Klayton looking out for her made things so much nicer than she expected the other girls were doing. Really, it wasn't like she was even really kidnapped anymore, just hanging out back at the camp to help Klayton with whatever it is they had her there for. Really, she hadn't been paying enough attention to why they had kidnapped people to even care. As long as she was having a good time, who cared? Besides, Klayton had promised to come get her and take her to Mexico for a few days so they could do whatever the hell they wanted. Honestly, Erinn wasn't sure what that meant, but she was definitely looking forward to something like that. She liked Klayton a lot, even if she was dating someone, maybe, and even if he was older. Much older. Honestly, it wasn't a problem to her and if he came and got her, she'd do whatever the hell he wanted.
Sitting forward with an irritated frown as Jared started to win, Erinn's full attention was on the game in front of her. So, when a voice came up from behind, she nearly jumped out of her seat. No one else was supposed to be there for quite some time and there hadn't been any warnings from Klayton that someone was coming to rescue her or some shit like that. However, when she turned around to see Nika sitting in the tree behind them, she understood. Nika was an animagus and could get there undetected no problem. "Leave Jared alone, yeah? He was ordered to keep me entertained and he's be so good for that," Erinn commented, the tone of her voice revealing the irritation she currently felt for Nika. She probably should have been glad to see her for the first time since she'd left for Bulgaria, but she wasn't.
Take your shift? Bullshit. Nika couldn't actually be serious about that, right? Klayton had promised he'd be the next to take over shifts and obviously she wasn't supposed to be treated like an actual prisoner. She was special and everyone should be looking after her and loving her. However, Jared was quick to jump up and leave, which rather disappointed Erinn. He was supposed to stay and keep her company, not leave her there with Nika. When Jared left, Erinn turned on Nika with a rather furious glare. "What the fuck are you doing? I was in the middle of something, dumbass," Erinn commented, her voice very scathing as she spoke. Clearly, she was not too pleased to see someone that she knew there, especially not when it was Nika. Stupid girlfriend that got married in other countries.

A smirk curled on Nika’s lips as she watched Erinn jump at the sound of her voice. She loved to scare people, even if it happened to be her girlfriend. “Entertaining a prisoner, eh? The others aren’t being treated nearly as well as you are. In fact, they’re being tortured as we speak,” she spoke with ice in her voice and a malicious smile on her face, “Oh how I love the sound of shrieking and pleading. It warms my heart.” Nika had a whole new attitude when it came to working for the Death Squadron. Everyone knew that the weak got destroyed. The nastier you were, the more people were afraid of you and the higher position you obtained. The girl was ruthless, right up there at the top where she wanted to be.
Nika smirked as she watched Jared walk away. Plus one for getting her way. The smirk faded into a satisfied smile. “Have fun being Marcus’s slave for the rest of the evening,” she called out after him. When the guy was gone for sure, she floated down from the tree and sat down indian style across from Erinn. “I’m taking your sorry ass out of this mess. How much longer do you think you’d be treated like a princess?” she said, brushing off her girlfriend’s obvious anger. Nika looked at her up and down. No marks, the guards barely even touched her. She was quite disappointed in that. “I do like you chained up like that though. It’s sexy,” she had to admit, even if she was mocking the girl in some way.
Nika had no desire to unchain her girlfriend any time soon. They needed to talk. She had noticed Erinn’s change in behavior and wanted to know what was up with her. It wasn’t the usual Erinn Nonsence that she was used to. Whatever happened, it really seemed to bother her. Maybe it was the fact that she was in Bulgaria for three months? Nika couldn’t tell. It’s not like Erinn found out that she had cheated on her because that never happened. The girl had remained faithful throughout her entire stay, minus the little issue with Val and the fact that she was being forced to marry one of her closest childhood friends within the year.

It was always nice to know that she was given special treatment, but not so much when she knew that the others were probably not in a very good position at the moment. She didn't really know the other girls all that well and she probably didn't like them all that much either, but there was no way in hell that she wanted them hurt or anything like that. They didn't deserve it, no matter who they were. "Well, great, why don't you go fuck with them than," Erinn commented, flippantly. She didn't really want Nika to go hurt the other girls, but she did want Nika to get the hell away. She rather doubted that a simple comment like that would work, but she obviously had to let Nika know that she wanted nothing to do with her at the moment. Or ever, actually.
Scooting back against the tree as Nika came to sit down near her, Erinn huffily wrapped her arms around her legs and rested her head on top of her knees. It was pretty evident that she wasn't in the best of moods with Nika, which was precisely what Erinn was going for, but it didn't appear to phase the other girl in the least. "Forever and ever, obviously. Klay was taking me out of here next shift anyways," Erinn shrugged. She considered further mentioning what plans she had been making with Klay, just to piss Nika off, but subtly mentioning it seemed like a fairly good plan for now. Besides, she didn't want Klayton to get in trouble or anything, so she didn't say much else. Even though she really, really wanted to rub it in.
Although she almost wanted to smile at Nika's last comment, she kept her face rather even and disinterested. "Yeah, so I've heard," Erinn replied. She wasn't sure that she had heard that in particular from anyone, but obviously Klayton had probably been thinking it every time that he'd come to visit. Obviously. Since he was so in love with her and all. Or something. At least, Erinn liked to think so anyways. Since she and Nika had pretty much failed because of Nika and all her cheating in Bulgaria, Erinn was pretty sure it was okay for her to go after Klayton now. He was older, hotter and definitely would make Nika jealous. What more could she ask for in a guy?

“Sorry kid. I was sent here, not everywhere else. Not everyone can get the star treatment that you are about to get,” a malicious smirk curled on Nika’s lips. This was going well, a flawless plan on her part. She watched Jared leave and waited until he was off her radar before jumping down. Landing silently, not even a twig snapped between her feet. That was an advantage the girl had over most wizards and witches, the fact that she was an animagus. Yes, of course she was an illegal one, not registered in the ministry. Some people in the Death Squadron knew about it, but only the ones that were particularly close with Victor and then there was Erinn.
“Oh shut up about Klayton. I don’t want to hear it. I’m taking you out of here. No one else will.” Nika was fierce when it came down to protecting the people that she had feelings for. She’d fight for them until she couldn’t fight anymore. The girl might act like she doesn’t care about anyone that isn’t directly related to her by blood, but there were a few exceptions to that. Erinn was one of them. No matter how much the girl pissed her off, she couldn’t let anything happen to her.
Nika commented on the chains and smirked slightly. “Who might have told you that?” she said raising her eyebrows. She said Klayton, the girl might have a conniption. Nika didn’t want to know about her girlfriend possibly cheating on her. Sure, she wasn’t heading in the right direction, but the was working on it. It was true that her father had arranged a husband for her to marry at the age of sixteen, which was coming up fairly quick. Nika was working on breaking through the arrangement. She didn’t want to, she wasn’t ready for that yet.

The fact that Nika seemed a tad bit irate about the mention of Klayton cheered Erinn up at least slightly. That obviously meant that Nika still cared somewhat, even if they were obviously quite over and Nika was married and stupid and all that. "Well, I don't want to go with you," Erinn commented, rather loftily, as if she had much of a choice. Honestly, even if she was comfortable and having a good time, she still understood that she was at the mercy of the people that had held her captive there. It wasn't exactly the most comforting situation, but she had accepted it well enough. Besides, she'd much rather stay there and potentially be tortured than have to deal with talking to Nika. It was killing her just to be there with the girl, knowing full well what she had been up to in Bulgaria and Erinn didn't deal well with things like that at all.
Given the situation, Erinn probably shouldn't have been pushing her luck, but she couldn't resist it. The more digs that she could get in with Nika, the better. "I'm sure plenty of people have, but mostly Klayton. We're together a lot," Erinn replied, her voice taking quite the conversational tone, despite the fact that she was very clearly just trying to get on Nika's nerves and make her feel like shit. Erinn was the type of person that felt revenge was necessary. If Nika was going to fuck with her, than she was going to do the same right back and hopefully make it even worse. It wasn't exactly the best quality ever, but that was just the way that she was. Really, deep down she didn't want to hurt Nika, but her vengeful personality kept her from actually being true to what she honestly wanted.
Erinn was about ready to go off on Nika further, but she heard a rustling in the bushes behind her, causing her to jump up as best she could and turn about to see what it was. A figure was coming up from behind, their wand at the ready and clearly not looking to play around. "Get the hell back," the voice yelled out, a quick flash of red bursting forth as a spell rocketed towards Nika. Clearly, this was someone that meant business and most likely, it was one of the Marauder's coming to save her. Not what Erinn wanted at all, but there wasn't much she could do about it. She definitely didn't want anyone to hurt Nika, but they seemed to think that she was the one holding her hostage and weren't about to let up on the barrage of spells they were firing forth.

"Since when have you labeled me as the caring type? Especially in a situation like this," Nika said, raising her eyebrows. Sure, she cared about many things, Erinn being one of them, but she honestly didn't take requests when she was stuck in this kind of predicament. She didn't care what Erinn wanted at that moment, she could complain about how much she hated her after they were both some place safe. Maybe she could handcuff her girlfriend once more, just for the hell of it. That would be amusing.
Erinn's next comment struck a chord in the girl's mind. "What the fuck. Don't tell me that, I don't want to know." Aggravation was apparent in her voice. Nika swallowed her emotions. Causing a scene now would foil her pans, ruin all of her work. She honestly had no idea how Erinn's mind worked. Why would you tell your girlfriend that you've been spending a lot of time with a guy? There was something wrong here, Nika could sense it. What did Erinn know that she didn't? Had she somehow found out about the marriage? Or was there something else that was bothering her? The girl wasn't much for talking about feelings, but she didn't want this kind of tension between her and her girlfriend. It was weird and she didn't like it.
"Will you shut the hell up for five seconds?!" Nika spoke with a harsh tone, her patience was wearing thin. "I have something I need to talk to you about," her tone softened a bit. She couldn't hide her secret for much longer. It was slowly burning a hole through her heart. "It's really important," she said, looking down into the grass and running her fingers through it gently. Well, there was no beating around the bush now. She had to go for it, face the issue head on. "I'm getting m-," she froze, stopping herself in mid sentence as a rustling noise sounded from the shrubbery. Nika's head whipped around, her bird senses clicking on. This was no small animal, a bear maybe or something of a similar size, but a voice proved she was wrong. The brunette jumped to her feet, whipping her wand out of her boot in one smooth motion. A red beam shot at the girl, who dropped to her stomach faster than she had gotten up, dodging the hex by mere inches. Nika reacted quickly, counterattacking, casting another hex in the direction that the first one came from. Green sparks, the color of her eyes, exploded from the tip of her wand. "Show yourself!" She yelled back, taking a step in front of Erinn, protecting her. No one was going to hurt her. Another twig snapped, but this time it was closer. Nika shot a ball of fire in that direction.

Obviously, Erinn didn't want Nika to care, she just wanted her to get the hell away from her. Those were two completely different things and Nika was clearly just being stupid by refusing to leave. "You're not, so you don't have to stay. You should go off with someone you actually give a shit about," Erinn replied with a scathing tone. She didn't see what Nika was even doing there, considering the fact that she probably should be off with her new husband or whatever the fuck it was that happened back in Bulgaria. Technically, Erinn had only heard rumors, but she was the sort of person that tended to believe most, if not all, of the things that she heard. Besides, obviously it made sense, since there was no other reason that her girlfriend would ditch her for so long.
For the first time since Nika had arrived, a small smile of victory passed Erinn's face. She probably shouldn't have been glad that she had hit a sore spot with Nika, but she was. In her mind, it was the least that Nika deserved, given everything that had been happening. Or, well, everything that Erinn had heard was happening anyways. "Oh, well, just sayin'. We're good friends, Klayton and I," Erinn commented with a light shrug. Though she was making it sound as if it were no big deal, it was said with such an underlying sarcasm that it was pretty clear what Erinn was up to. Honestly, Erinn didn't know how Nika could just stand there and act like she was perfectly allowed to just come talk to her whenever she wanted to.
A flash of anger crossed her face when Nika snapped at her and Erinn was quite ready to yell back at her before Nika's tone softened slightly. Though, that lasted for only a moment before another irritated scowl appeared on her face. "You know what, maybe I don't fucking want to talk to y-," Erinn started to say before she was cut off by the sound of spells firing off. Most people probably would have had the instinct to duck or get out of the way, but Erinn didn't. Her head swiveled towards the source of the spells, looking to see if she knew who it was. When the man came forth from behind the bushes, Erinn's eyes lit up with recognition. The man, Phillip, was one of the older Marauder's that she had seen around a few times here and there. He was a pretty cool guy, as far as Erinn was concerned. However, he seemed rather pissed off that there were spells being fired his way and he started to shoot his with much more deadly accuracy. "Hey, Phillip, it's cool...I'm fine," she called out, though she rather doubted that he had heard her.
