Being a Creature-Induced Injuries Healer meant very little time for freedom and fun and so the chance she finally was able to take a break, Tami took it. Instead of sticking around St. Mungos she apparated herself over to Diagon Alley and walked over to a cute little cafe. After ordering a quick sandwich and drink, Tami scurried over to the ice cream parlour, a treat she desperately needed. It not only would help her take the edge off, but also soothed her sweet tooth which had been screaming for a treat since god knows when.
Though normally busy today it was not and instead of waiting to think things through, Tami quickly ordered chocolate ice cream with gooey marshmallow, caramel syrup, and chocolate chunks. Well aware of the enormous amount of calories she was about to intake, Tami ordered a rather small size, but soon changed her decision to the medium. She deserved it. After helping and healing a bunch of little kids who thought certain animals should be kept as a pet, the stress level Tamiko felt was very high and what better way for a girl to ease the stress? Chocolate, chocolate, and some more chocolate with a little help from marshmallows and caramel.
As soon as her order came out, Tami went over to the corner of the store and without much thoughts about manners took a rather large scoop and popped it into her mouth. After the first scoop a soft, content sigh escaped the girl and almost immediately she ate another scoop. It did not matter that she looked a bit like a big, she could not help it. Chocolate was the one thing that always managed to cheer her up and she was not about to deny herself it.

The holidays were easily the best time for Megan and being off from school for real was certainly able to put her mind at ease. Though she skipped out on classes more often than any person ever should, this was an actual break and she didn't need to worry about any of the consequences that perhaps could ensue otherwise. Not that anyone bothered to really give her consequences anymore. It was kind of at the point where it came down to just wanting to push Megan out the doors of the castle so they didn't have to deal with her lack of tact and rule-abiding any longer. Besides, the school took in enough money from the Aldridge family that punishing Megan would have been a terrible, terrible idea. The odd detention was something they could do, but other than that it would get into territory that would lead to a lot of funds being pulled out of the school. Even though the school had plenty of money for improvements and such, losing anything could put the school back quite a bit, especially when it was coming from a family like Megan's.
Not that Megan had much to do with her family, that is. She spent her breaks with the Cauldwell's, pretty much always had. Well, since her second year, anyways. That afternoon, however, she had taken off from their mansion in Scotland to start on some late Christmas shopping for the few people she cared enough to shop for. Diagon Alley wasn't exactly the best of places to be shopping, but she knew that Hallie was a book person and that was about the only place she could think of to go pick up a few books on traveling and such that would be suitable for the younger girl. Even if Megan was a bit of a bitch, she knew how to buy Christmas gifts pretty damn well. Loaded down with a good number of bags and pleased with her progress, Megan decided that it was time to call it a day and grab something to eat for lunch. However, she couldn't say that she was entirely hungry for a full meal and instead decided on grabbing something simple to hold her over until dinner later that night with Peyton.
Though not typically one for sweets in general, there was something about a bowl of ice cream that even Megan couldn't pass up. Perhaps it was simply reminiscent of the many nights spend cuddled up with Peyton with a bucket of Ben and Jerry's between them. There was never a bad time that included ice cream. Besides, shopping was hard work and made her quite deserving of a treat before she headed back to Scotland. Turning back down onto the main street of Diagon, it took but a few minutes for Megan to push through the door to what was arguably the most popular ice cream parlour around. Florean Fortescue's was, more or less, the place to be the week before classes started. Everyone was there getting school supplies and it led to quite a bit of business rush. She doubted that it would be too occupied that day, but it was break, so there was no telling.
There was a bit of a line, but not enough to drive Megan away from the place, so she took her place and waited. Once she had gotten to the front and ordered her ice cream, Megan turned back to see where she was going to sit. Having been mostly on her own for the day, aside from the occasional run-in with someone that she knew, Megan was kind of in the mood for some human interaction. There wasn't anyone in particular that she knew, but she did vaguely recognize one of the women in the back corner. She knew that the woman was a few years older, probably a Ravenclaw, and she'd seen her once or twice in her trips to St. Mungo's. Better than nothing. Sauntering over to the table, Megan took the seat across from her with a tilt of her head and a wry grin. "You Healers sure do have interesting lives, hm? All alone over here in the corner, it's just not right, really," Megan commented, smirking a bit. The girl was pretty attractive, so Megan didn't see why she would be there alone. "Megan Aldridge," she added, holding her hand out across the table as a greeting. It wasn't often that Megan played nice, but she was good at it when she needed to be. Living in the upper class world did that to a girl.

Mid-bite Tamiko heard a somewhat familiar voice. An eyebrow went up as she swallowed the icy sweet before she said, Being a Healer means limited social life, so interesting is not exactly the word I would use to describe my social life. My work life on the other hand…seems to have a different situation each day. Giving the girl a rather firm handshake, for a girl her size, she added, Tamiko Ambrose, just call me Tami or Ami whatever you prefer.
It did not matter that she a Healer which was a job that required being polite to all blood. In addition to that she had been raised in a culture, the upper class, and area that required her to be charming to everyone despite blood and monetary status.
Though she was unaware of the fact that Megan was only a student, she curiously asked, Are you on your lunch break? But had she known, Tamiko would of been shocked especially since she was the studious and dedicated type not only as a worker but when she was a student.

By the way the other woman replied, Megan was fairly confident that her prior assessment was correct and that she was, in fact, a Ravenclaw. Normal people probably would have realized the sarcasm laced with everyone word Megan spoke, but apparently not this girl here. Megan typically didn't have a problem with Ravenclaws, but some of them were so straight-edge that it drove her crazy. "Well, I suppose that work being interesting is better than nothing," Megan shrugged, though she wasn't sure just how much she actually agreed to that statement. Work wasn't something Megan did a lot of, obviously, so even if it were interesting work she doubted that she would be very fond of it. However, since Tami was a Ravenclaw, she was probably the exact opposite of Megan. Not to mention, if you put forth the effort to become Healer, than you probably had to like working at least somewhat, since it was quite the intensive career path to take.
Thinking on the name for a moment, Megan was pretty certain that she recognized it, at least a bit. She was probably only a few years older, if that, so they'd probably seen each other around the school in passing. Though, Megan had a feeling that they most definitely had not run in the same circles at any point. Megan had quite a few older friends, though, so perhaps they had mutual acquaintances or something to that effect. It didn't really matter, at any rate, since Megan was able to talk to just about anyone when she was outside of school. Inside the castle she was judgmental as hell and refused to talk to quite a few people, but when she was out in the real world she was a completely different person. Out there she had to be different, more accepting, especially since she was going to have full run of her family business when her father finally just retired. Perhaps people wouldn't consider her the best for the job, but she knew how to understand people better than most and she was actually pretty damn qualified for the job. If she stepped up and took it, that is.
Letting out a short laugh before shaking her head, Megan had to express her amusement at the idea of having an actual job. Though she did various different tasks for the family business and traveled around to meet with people, broker deals, whatever she had to do, it wasn't exactly a job. "Not so much, babe. I don't do the whole working thing. Don't have to do the whole working thing," she shrugged. With her inheritance, Megan literally wouldn't have to work for the remainder of her life if she wanted to, so perhaps that was a big reason as to why she had no serious plans for her future. She could continue to do the whole business mogul thing she was currently doing, further her families profits and the like and spend the majority of her time lounging around beach resorts and doing whatever the bloody hell she wanted. Much more glamorous than an actual job could ever be.
Picking the spoon up from her bowl, Megan took another bite of her ice cream, pulling the spoon from her lips slowly as she ate the rest of it off the utensil. "So, you were a Ravenclaw, if I'm not mistaken, right?" she asked, looking over at Tami with a curious expression. It was usually easier to talk about someone else when starting up a conversation, at least for Megan anyway. She wasn't fond of giving people too much information about her personal life, mostly since a lot of it she preferred to keep locked away as a secret. Even her best friend was generally in the dark about a lot of Megan's past and even some of her current endeavours. There wasn't any reason to hide things from Peyton, but Megan just...didn't know how to broach any of the more touchy subjects that came up. She didn't do well with serious conversations at all.
