Spend your lives in sin and misery In the House of the Rising Sun There were times that Erinn closed herself off to the world and became a right terrible bitch and this was one of them. Not only did she have her own drama to deal with with Nika, Frankie had gone and gotten knocked up. If it had been anyone else in the world, it probably wouldn't have mattered, but because it was Frankie it was a completely different story. Though she didn't often say it, if ever, she looked up to her older sister. They'd always been close, but Erinn had come to really respect Frankie and though she didn't take her advice as often as she probably should have, she appreciated it. So, to see her get into something like this was hard for Erinn. Frankie was supposed to be that person she could rely on to be a good example and not to screw up as much as she did, but now she couldn't. Frankie was pretty much screwing up worse than Erinn ever had and there really wasn't anyone else she could look to for advice or anything to that effect.
Considering the fact that Erinn was currently fighting with just about everyone that existed, she wasn't too keen on sticking around her dormitory and had been avoiding the whole place for about a week. Instead, she had been opting to stay in some weird abandoned room down in the dungeons. It was far enough away from the towers that there was little chance of any of the Gryffindors coming and stumbling upon her and close enough to the dungeons that it was unlikely that any Slytherins would think to look for her there. At least, that was the general plan that she was going for. She was in a mood and when Erinn was in a mood, it was generally a good thing for her to just avoid being around people. Were she to be around people, it wouldn't go over very well and there was a good chance that someone would get hurt.
Curling up on the makeshift bed that Erinn had haphazardly constructed, she was sitting with her back up against the wall and her legs out in front of her. As she tended to do when she was upset for whatever reason, Erinn had her guitar out and was lazily strumming at it as she lost herself in thought. She'd been in that position for the majority of the afternoon and had absolutely no intention of leaving from that spot for a damn long time. It was easiest to deal with all the conflict by staying away from it for awhile and eventually, when things settled down, Erinn could go out and do some damage control. She knew she'd kind of screwed up with a lot of people in the last few days and eventually she would have to go fix all of those relationships, but it could wait. For now, she felt it best that she simply let herself stay out of the way and allow things to simmer down a bit before she got involved again.
For whatever reason, trouble and drama seemed to follow Erinn. It had always been like that, but it seemed that lately it was just a lot worse than usual and Erinn hated it. Sure, she liked attention a lot of the time, but not so much all the negative attention. All the judging from people that she didn't even know and then the not so pleasant conversations she'd had with Frankie just didn't sit well with her. At the very least, sitting there cooped up in her own little sanctuary was nice. No one came around to disturb her and she was able to just strum at her guitar. She'd kind of been writing a few songs in her time there, but nothing had really come to fruition as of yet. It was rare that she came up with anything good when she was in such a bad mood and mostly it just ended up being a jumbled mess of angrily playing melodies and making up lyrics to suit the mood. Her most recent song was a tribute to the many spells that could be used to throw someone off the ledge of a tower. Definitely a winner.
Sighing irritably as she grew irate with her inability to produce any decent music, Erinn turned over to the small bag that she had brought with her. It contained the few things that she deemed essential for a stay there in her small room, one of which was her music player. Flipping it open and turning it on, she let the music play for a moment before picking her guitar up to play along with whichever songs started to play. It was her way of chilling out and just letting go of the stress that she had all bottled up inside of her. Most people didn't know it, but Erinn was actually really into music. In fact, that was more or less what she wanted to do with her life. Sure, she liked Quidditch and all, but she didn't want to do it for the rest of her life. Music was something she connected to and it was something more for herself and not for everyone else. That was why she generally reserved playing and singing for the times she was alone- like now.
Turning the music player down, Erinn took to playing along with the song that she had on, drowning out the sound of the sound of the music with her own voice. She wasn't bothered by the fact that she was singing out loud, since it wasn't like anyone was going to be down there in the far part of the dungeons anyways. It was a safe spot, a place where she could just be who she wanted and do what she wanted and not worry shit about who was around. Closing her eyes, Erinn simply let her fingers move across the guitar, bringing a melody of sounds to the small room that mixed with her voice to create a cohesive song. Not her own song, but the haunting melody suited her mood quite well and she found herself getting lost in the tune, which was probably exactly what she needed.

"What are you doing out of your dorm? It's past curfew." Crossing her arms, she stared at the two young Slytherins, both of which were putting on their best mean, annoyed faces. She wanted to laugh at the two, it was cute they were trying to be big boys. "Five points from Slytherin if you don't get back to your dorms in the next two minutes." She warned and that seemed to have taken effect on the boys since they turned around with their tails tucked between their legs and headed for the dorm. Plump lips curled into a smile, satisfied with her deed. She had to admit, there was a certain power in being a prefect that Antonia enjoyed, loved really. Plus, being a prefect had earned her brownie points from her father. And it wasn't all that bad, all she had to do was maintain order when there was something big going on in the Great Hall and catch any students lurking about after curfew. Right now, Antonia was patrolling the dungeons and there was always some stupid Slytherin trying to make his or her get away. It was so gloomy and dark in the dungeons, though and the candles that lit the hallways did it no justice. Just made the place more depressing. It also reeked like seawater but that was something Antonia was used to.
Despite her complains, it was eerily peaceful in the dungeons. It was quiet and the only visible noise came from the Slytherin commons but even that was muffled by the stone walls. This was one of the things about the dungeons that she loved, she could actually hear herself think. The muffled sounds were not the only she heard. The strum of a guitar, producing a series of jumbled notes. Antonia took her time trying to find the source of the noise, making sure she kept her breathing soft and her footfall light. A quirky habit Antonia had picked up while being a prefect. Most students would book it if they caught sight of a prefect and they were in the middle of causing some sort of trouble. And Nia did not play cat and mouse, but instead took on a more stealthy role. She was sure she looked silly trying to be a shadow but it seemed to work on most students. Stopping dead in her tracks when the guitar stopped playing noise. She jumped a little when a song came from where ever the room was. Kicking back into shadow mode, she followed the noise stopping near a wooden door unsure whether she should head in and catch the curfew breaking culprit.
A voice mixed in with the slow strumming of the guitar. It was some kind of wonderful. A Hauntingly beautiful song and voice. Antonia leaned against the stone wall and closed her eyes. Whoever was behind the guitar was someone who was pretty good. She wasn't sure how long she was leaning against the wall, but she snapped out of about halfway through. She wanted to listen to the rest of the song and hopefully she could. Opening the door as quietly as she could, she slipped in. She smiled when she saw the person behind the guitar. Erinn. A fifth year who had just come out with her girlfriend, and she was an adorable ball of mischief. The melody of the song seemed so out place with Erinn. A warm smile spread across her face, her eyes urging Erinn to keep playing. Hopefully, she would. Sitting down next to her, she closed her eyes and leaned her back and head against the wall, getting lost in the haunting melody.
Antonia made sure not to open her mouth until the song itself was finished. Turning her head, she smiled at the brunette. "You know, I think Quidditch isn't your only god-given talent,"
she complimented, meaning every word of it. Even though the song was amazing, the melody and mood did not seem like her. Who was she to judge, though? It could be a whole new side of Erinn that Antonia has never met or something was wrong. Pushing her worries aside, she didn't want to seem like a worry wart. Nia took on a more sisterly role when she met Erinn so Nia was much more respective of her feelings and was always willing to hear her out when she wanted. Or to lend her dresses and clothes from her personal wardrobe and head out to Club Chronos. It was funny since most guys ogle at the two, only to have their hopes crushed when they both were into girls then guys. Overall, she adored the girl. Spend your lives in sin and misery In the House of the Rising Sun Avoiding problems had pretty much become Erinn's absolute best talent as of late. She had avoided her issues with Nika by breaking up with her briefly and now she was avoiding her depression over Frankie by hiding from everyone. She still didn't know what, exactly, was keeping her sister in the Hospital Wing for so long and the longer it took, the worse off Erinn got. At first, she had sat in the Hospital Wing corridor, not moving or talking, just waiting and hoping for some sort of news. However, as the days started to pass and no news came out to them, Erinn had gotten worse. She took to leaving from the corridor and avoiding her family, being an utter bitch to them on the odd occasions that she ran into them. That, and she had more or less stopped talking to the majority of her friends as well. She just wasn't in the mood to deal with their sympathy. Honestly, the only person that she had been able to tolerate was Nika.
In fact, she had been spending the majority of her time sleeping over at Nika's house, as opposed to the castle. That night, however, she hadn't stayed in Bulgaria. Even though she loved Nika's company and it had been the only thing keeping her together, she couldn't take another night of pretending around her family. Erinn just wanted to exist in peace and not have to worry about anyone or anything coming in and attempting to cheer her up. Clearly, she was not in the mood for that and the sooner everyone came to see that, the better. She didn't want to be better, she just wanted her sister to be okay. Until that happened, she was resolved to stop around the castle in a mood and possibly act out even more than she usually did. She'd already agreed to getting a tattoo, which didn't seem to please her cousin at all, but it made her feel better. Doing something wrong meant that at least she had control over something in her life.
So, as she sat there, singing along with the haunting melody that came from her guitar, Erinn was just letting her mood swallow her. There was no trying to be happy, no fake smiles, just raw emotion. When Antonia entered into the room, Erinn didn't even register her presence as she continued to play. She was too caught up in the song and the passion behind it to notice anything, even the noise of the door opening and the feel of Antonia sitting down next to her. It was only once she had set her guitar down that Erinn even realized that the other girl was there, at which point she jumped back slightly. Letting out a quick huff of air when she saw that it was just Antonia, Erinn's nerves calmed themselves slightly. Though, she took a moment before she could muster up any sort of response.
The last thing that she had been expecting was for someone to find her hidden down there in the depths of the corridors. However, now that someone was there, she was probably expected to interact with them. In any other case, she would have been thrilled to see Antonia. They got along damn well and she adored spending time with the other girl, so usually it was bound to be a great time when they got together. 'Ah, hey, uh, thanks. I...I've been playing for awhile," she nodded, her voice breaking slightly as she spoke and stumbled over her words. It had been a few days now since she'd had a legitimate conversation with anyone other than Nika, so it was a halted and difficult thing to accomplish for the young girl. Not so much because she didn't want to talk to Antonia, since she didn't really mind it, but because she didn't even know what to say without breaking down any more than she already was.
Not really sure what else to say, Erinn scooted in closer to Antonia, resting her head on the other girl's shoulder without a word. Odds were, Antonia hadn't heard much about what was going on with the Thomas family. There were some rumours, but no one knew the extent to which this was effecting the family. Frankie had lost her twins, meaning Erinn had lost a niece and a nephew, and there was no telling how close she might have been to losing a sister on top of that. "Ton, I don't think I can keep this up anymore," she commented, the pain in her voice evident. Really, Erinn wanted to just cry. She wanted to cry and let it out and express her emotions, but for whatever reason, she couldn't. No matter how much she wanted to, she hadn't cried once. She had pushed all of it away into a deeper place and just let the depression encompass her entire being. "I just want to know that she's okay."
