- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Even though Albus was single as ever, he still managed to find a way to make it to the Ministry's big Valentine's event. Sure, it was technically for couple's, but Albus wanted to go anyways. Events were usually pretty fun and a weekend getaway sounded like a hell of a time, so he asked one of his friends along in hopes that she would say yes. Ellie was a pretty great friend and he enjoyed hanging out with her, so he didn't see why staying a weekend with her would ever be a bad thing. Sure, Felix probably wouldn't be too happy about the situation, but Albus would be quick to assure him that he had asked Ellie as friends and didn't intend to do anything to her. Besides, who could possibly turn down the chance to take a cruise for a weekend with a bunch of friends around? It would be a great time and Albus loved a great time.
Having messaged Ellie to confirm their plans, Albus was now waiting eagerly for her arrival to the port. They were taking off from a port that the Ministry had rented out, so there were no muggles around at all. The ship itself towered over them and it's sheer size was incredible. Leaning up against the wall near the bridge to get on, Albus had to await Ellie's arrival before they could take off onto the ship and start exploring. They had been promised plenty to do and based on just the size of the ship, Albus didn't doubt that there would be more than enough to keep them occupied for the next three days.

Ellie was glad to get off of Hogwarts grounds for at least a little while, even if it was just the weekend. No stress from classes or Quidditch, and just fun. She agreed to go with Albus Potter, who was definitely one of her closest guy friends, even though it was a couples event. She was glad he had asked her, since she really wanted to go, as a few of her friends were going as well. Also, she figured her brother wouldn't be there, since he was single, and he couldn't scare the hell out of poor Albus. Even if he did show up, she was sure he'd be okay with them going together since it was a platonic get away, but she knew how her brother tended to be.
Looking around the port, she saw Albus standing off to the side, and walked up to him. "Hey, Alb!" she said, smiling. "So excited to get this started, yeah? A weekend away seems totally great." She was interested in what kinds of things were on the ship, and couldn't wait to get on. She had been on boats before, sure, half of her dad's friends had yachts, but never a cruise like this.

Bouncing back and forth excitedly, Albus was more than ready for Ellie to show up. Despite many expensive and luxurious vacations with the Potter clan, he had actually never been on a cruise before, so it would be an exciting and new experience for him. Plus, it was a wizarding cruise, so that would probably be even better. As he spotted Ellie coming in towards the port, Albus hopped up from his position and eagerly moved to meet her partway. "Hey, Elle. Way excited and so glad you agreed to come," he jabbered, pulling her into a quick hug as they met. Albus was definitely an easily excitable person, so it was no surprise that he was all over the place at the moment. It wasn't often that you got to go on a special wizarding cruise, after all.
Reaching over, Albus took Ellie's bag to carry up the walkway and started to usher the both of them up the ramp. "This is definitely going to be a hell of a weekend, yeah?" he asked, grinning ear-to-ear as they checked in up front. Giving the worker a quick nod, Albus broke through and into the ship to start looking around. "So, what do you want to do first? We could go to our room and unload our bags and then just go exploring or something?" he suggested, not at all picky about where they went and what they did. As long as they were there having fun, Albus was happy to go along with whatever Ellie wanted, really.

As she ran her hand through her hair, Ellie looked at Albus. She was glad she wasn't the only one really excited to get on the boat. She hugged him back "Thanks for asking me! I wanted to go, but I thought I wouldn't be able to. Glad I can now!" Ellie was glad to be here with Albus. They had the same constantly-excited style of personality, which made it so easy to be around him. She knew they were going to have an awesome weekend, just because the two of them were together. She didn't know who else of her friends were going, but she didn't care. She knew she was going to have fun even if it was just her, Albus, and a bunch of random people they didn't know.
She smiled as he took her bag, and followed him up the ramp. "Oh man, totally," she said, pausing while Albus checked the two of them in. They crossed through the ship's threshold and into the main room. "Yeah, that sounds perfect. What else do you think they have on here?" she asked, Albus walking by her side. Since Albus invited her, she'd make sure he'd be able to do everything he wanted to, to make sure he had fun.

It definitely came as a relief to hear that Ellie had actually wanted to go on the cruise event and that she wasn't just there for his sake. If both of them were excited to be there, which they quite obviously were, it was bound to make for that much better of a weekend for them and whoever they happened to hang out with. "Yeah, definitely. I don't think I would have wanted to miss this one," he nodded, grinning at the prospect of what was to come. He didn't know what, exactly, was in store for them, but he had a feeling that whatever it was, it would be great.
As they entered into the ship and started looking around, Albus' eyes widened in awe at the sights. It was nothing like he'd ever seen before and he had certainly seen some fancy places in his day. "Woah, this is like a floating hotel," he commented, his eyes twinkling as they scanned the area. "I bet they pretty much have anything we could ever ask for," he said with a shrug, rather feeling that he may just have been right about that. Checking the key that he had been handed for their room number, Albus started walking over to the elevator that would take them to the proper floor. "Have you ever been on a cruise before?" he asked, curious to see if Ellie had any idea what was in store.

Ellie looked around to the entrance of the ship. People walked around the front room, but she didn't see anyone around their age, and assumed they were all Ministry employees or guests. She guessed that all of the Hogwarts students either hadn't arrived yet, were in their rooms, or were elsewhere exploring the ship. The latter made the most sense, and Ellie was excited to start that. "Yeah, it's gonna be great," she smiled.
She laughed at his comment. "It really is! And true, but there's only so much you can put on a boat. You can't put, like," she paused, tilting her head to the right. "I don't know, I guess we'll have to find out!" She was really excited to explore the rest of the ship, just to know what was on it. Mostly rooms, she figured, but there had to be more things to entertain the guests. "What floor are we on?" she asked, noticing the key in Albus' hand. Not like she wouldn't find out soon enough, but she was definitely curious. Ellie had never really been on a ship this size before. Her parents were usually too busy to take them on holidays that were too long, and they thought cruises were definitely too long. "No, I haven't, actually. I've been on smaller boats, like yachts and stuff, but never one of this size. It's gonna be totally awesome!" She grinned as they boarded the elevator.

Based on what he had seen so far, Albus wouldn't have been surprised if there literally wasn't a thing on the planet that couldn't have gone on the ship. There were people everywhere, lights flashing, shops, restaurants, things to do for fun, places to relax. Honestly, Albus almost felt like he was walking into a small city. "Definitely. I'm voting that we explore every inch of this place while we're here," he suggested, feeling like it would be a pretty stellar goal. He didn't want to miss a thing and the only way to accomplish that for sure was to scour the ship in search of all the hidden gems of fun. "We're on the third floor now, but our room is down on the first, I think," Albus shrugged. That was as much as the man had told him up front, so he was hoping they would just sort of stumble upon it when they got down there.
Though he was a little surprised to hear that Ellie had never been on a cruise, it at least meant that he wasn't the only noob at it. "Great, we'll just have to figure this place out together than," he nodded, grinning wildly as the elevator started to take them down to the first floor. Once they arrived, he stepped out and looked around at the rooms to his right and left. "Well, our key says we're in room 1265," he said, not sure which way would lead them there. Taking off down to the left of the aisle, he started looking for their place. After a minute of walking, he spotted their room number and excitedly rushed towards it with the key cards. Swiping his into the slot on the door, Albus pushed through into the room and gaped with awe. "Woah, look Ellie, we can see the ocean from here!" he said, pointing out to the small balcony that was attached to their room.

Walking through the ship, there was so much Ellie passed and saw just on the way to the elevator alone. She couldn't wait to see what else was on the boat. "Absolutely!" She wanted to see everything, especially when they only had a few days aboard. She knew there were some other events going on throughout the weekend, so she wanted to make sure she got the most time exploring as possible. Ellie looked down at the key in Albus' hand which would let them into their room. She was really interested in what the rooms would look like, along with the rest of the ship.
As the elevator lurched, Ellie's excitement rose, even though she thought that wasn't possible. "Alright, sounds good," she smiled. Ellie nodded at Albus as he said their room number, and looked down the hall. Albus started off to the left, and she followed him, looking at room numbers as they went. Eventually, Albus spotted the room, and swiped the card. When they entered the room, Ellie smiled. She sat down on a bed and looked around. She heard Albus call her from the other side of the room, so she followed. "This is awesome!" she said, looking out onto the open water. "It's so cool we get to go on this. It's going to be awesome."

With Ellie's agreement that they should do anything and everything there was to offer on their trip, Albus was confident that nothing would stop them from doing just that. Well, as long as they didn't run into Felix while they were there. From what Albus had heard in the doors, he was going to be there, so they just had to play a game of avoid the Felix. He wasn't going to let that dominate their time there, however, so he pushed it to the back of his mind and let the main concern of his be having a good time. After all, he couldn't disappoint Ellie by being worried about Felix. She deserved to have the best time that was humanly possible, obviously. Which, considering the fact that their room was pretty amazing, shouldn't be too hard.
Unloading his bag onto the bed and setting Ellie's down on the other, Albus saw no reason for them to hang around the room for too much longer. "So, what's first on the agenda? Have you eaten? We could go grab food first and then maybe hit up the arcade?" he suggested, looking down at the map in his hands to see what there was to do. Albus was always happy to eat when food was offered to him and the arcade was certainly a big appeal. Of course, there was always the various live music shows that were scattered throughout that Albus could have sat at all day, but he wanted to get out and do things Ellie would like too. "I'm pretty sure I could dominate a game or two of air hockey," he nodded, smirking a bit as he walked over to the door to wait. Obviously, that was a serious challenge.

Turning back from the balcony towards the room, Ellie thought about who else she was friends with would be on the boat. She really wasn't sure of anyone, even her brother. She assumed he would find some way to get on, since that seemed like the kind of thing he would do. She didn't want to think about what would happen if he saw that she and Albus were sharing a room... She let the thought in her head be replaced by the different things that were on the boat, and all of the things the her and Albus could do on it.
"Thanks, Alb," she said as he placed her bag on the bed. "Yeah, that sounds like a good plan. We have to go find food first though, could take a while," she laughed. She fluffed her hair in the mirror, and made a face at her reflection. "The arcade sounds so perfect!" Albus seemed like one of the best people to be there with, since both of them got excited about and were into the same things, so this cruise would be more than entertaining for both of them. After he spoke, she looked up at him and scoffed. "Yeah, if you're lucky!" She walked through the door, giving him a playful shove as she did so. "Come on, Albus Severus, let's go watch you get killed."

Elie was probably right about that. Albus had no idea where anything was on the ship, but he was particularly hopeful that there would be enough food scattered around the main decks that they would be able to hunt something down for themselves before they starved to death. Perhaps he was a tad dramatic, but when Albus was hungry, he was hungry. "There's probably some sort of something on the main deck that we could eat, maybe?" he suggested with a shrug. There were probably better ways to find food than just guessing and traipsing about the ship in hopes they were right, but Albus was too excited to think such things through logically and besides, it gave them a chance to explore things better and get a better sense of where things were on the ship.
When Albus heard Ellie's excitement about going to the arcade, he was confident that he had made the proper decision as to who to ask on the cruise. She was just as goofy and fun-loving as he was, which made it the perfect match for a weekend of fun. Sticking his tongue out at her when she shoved him on her way out the door, Albus followed behind her, closing the door as he left the room. "Oh, Ellie Katherine, it's so on. So on that you won't even be able to handle it," he retorted, the challenge just bringing that much more excitement to the moment. Taking off back towards the elevator, Albus caught the door just before it closed, letting both himself and Ellie in with a grin. "So, uh, which floor do you want to check first?" he asked, looking at the various buttons with a shrug.

The thought of eating made Ellie's stomach growl. She hadn't thought about how hungry she really was. "Yeah, that makes sensse," she said, brushing her hair back. "That's where everyone is normally, right? There should be something where everyone is. We can see more that way, anyway." Elliie thought thatt Albus' plan made more sense than anything she could've thought of, seeing as her plan probably would've been to wander around the shiip aimlessly until either they found something or died of hunger.
Laughing after he stuck his tongue out at her, she turned to wait for him as he walked through the door after her. Feinging shock, she placed her hand over her heart. "Albus Severus Potter, prepare to be crushed. Be in denial as long as you want, your defeat is inevitable, Bud." As they walked into the elevator, she looked at him. "Well, what floor did we come in on? We could always just check there," she suggested, shrugging her shoulders.

That sounded sensible to Albus, so he nodded his approval at their current plan. Wherever they could find the food, they would probably find a whole slew of other things to do as well. What that might be, he had no idea, but he was excited as hell to see what was in store for the two of them that weekend. "Good point. Maybe we can find a map while we're up there too. That way we can like check off all the things that we already did," he suggested. He wanted to be sure that they did everything possible while they were there, s that seemed like the best way to accomplish that. Granted, it was Ellie and Albus, so it probably wouldn't last too long and they'd end up just running around having fun whichever way they wanted anyway, but that was okay too.
Raising an eyebrow as high as it could go, Albus gave her a rather judgy look. He wouldn't go so far as to say that he would be crushed, nor would he say that he was going to be defeated. It was probably a pretty level playing field, though he might even admit that he probably had a slight advantage. Probably. "Oh, oh okay, you want to play like that, than we will most definitely play like that," he announced with a challenging tone. It was so on. "How about we just hop on the elevator and follow the other people to whatever floor they're going to? That should work," he nodded, racing over to catch the elevator before it closed. Holding it open for Ellie, he slid into the machine after Ellie entered in and waited towards the back of the crowd.
