'I wonder if i take you home, would you still be in love baby' Although the drive behind Eva inviting Ari to join her on the cruise was because she wanted the younger quidditch player to join the Tornadoes, Eva was quite looking forward to the weekend ahead. Sure it was all a part of her devious plan but Eva did enjoy being around Ari, she was sexy and fun. So having to go to such great lengths to manipulate the younger girl wasn't such an awful effort in her books. Lifting her sunglasses up onto her head so that they pushed her hair back from her face, Eva walked onto the crowded dock, keeping an eye out for her date. "Take my bags to my room." She said absently to the young male trailing behind her with a large duffel bag and a suitcase in each hand. He mumbled a 'Yes Ma'am' and regretted it immediately. Eva glared at him as though he had just called her an old woman, he may as well have, and said. "Do not call me Ma'am." The young male blushed a beet red and apologised quickly before hurrying off onto the ship.
"Idiot." Eva muttered and blew out a quiet sigh. Walking closer towards the ship, Eva glanced around the faces that had gathered, smiling at those she recognized as friends and smirking at those who pointed and gawked at her. She'd always loved being famous. Who didn't love the power that came with it? Or the constant praise and adoration? Pulling her sunglasses back down, it wasn't paticularly sunny but Eva pretty much always wore sunglasses, she moved to wait over by an area she believed Ari would be able to find her in easily.

As strange as it may have sounded, Ari didn't get asked out on dates a whole lot. At least, not by people that she actually knew and genuinely had taken an interest in her. So, this whole going out on a weekend date things was completely new to her. The fact that she was with Eva just made it that much more exciting. Though she still had reservations about confining herself to a ship with a ton of people around her, the pull of both Eva and the weekend filled with fun was kind of difficult to ignore. Besides, after spending a good deal of time in a place like Africa, she rather felt like she deserved a nice tropical getaway. There was always the room to escape to if she was feeling overwhelmed and she technically could always just apparate home if it was really that difficult for her.
Having been watching the clock while she got her bag together, Ari was ready to take off the moment she had finished. She was already in her swimsuit, with a pair of short jean shorts and a blue tank covering it until she got to the ship. She had also remembered to throw on a pair of sunglasses and a baseball cap, just to try and avoid any sort of attention that might have been drawn towards her. If that was even possible, considering her star status, as well as Eva's. With her bag over her shoulder and everything taken care of at the Puddlemere's place, Ari apparated herself to the dock where they were meant to meet up. It didn't take her long to spot Eva, mostly because of the attention she was drawing from the crowd, and she quickly slipped over to where she was standing. "Hey, you ready to head on in?" she greeted her, leaning over to give her a quick kiss on the cheek after she spoke.

Little more than ten minutes passed before Ari arrived. Eva dismissed her crowd of admirers with a polite smile and nod of her head, and turned her full attention to Ari. "Hey." she replied, her eyes widening just a little in suprise when the other girl gave her a kiss on the cheek. She recovered in time for Ari to return to her former postition, replacing her mild look of shock with a sultry smile. "Come on." she said, reaching over to twine her fingers with Ari's free hand. The action set off a ripple of hushed whispers and open stares. Eva smirked lightly. She could imagine the scandal the two of them going on this cruise together would create. They were two of the best chasers on two opposing teams that were very large rivals. This would be all over the papers tomorrow. Eva didn't care, it was just something that came with being as famous as she was.
It didn't take long to reach their room. Eva had held Ari's hand all the way there and only let go to open the double doors to their room. "Hope you like it." Eva said, walking into the room, she grinned back over her shoulder at Ari, waiting for her reaction. The room was one of the largest and therefore, one of the best on the ship. It boasted a mini bar, a huge king size bed with luxury silk sheets and even a mini jaccuzzi (big enough for two) on the large balcony. "It's amazing what being a celebrity can get you." she winked at Ari and moved across the room to the bottle of champagne sat neatly in a bucket of ice. Taking it out, Eva twirled around to face the other woman and held up the bottle. "Fancy a drink?"

Ari had always been an overly affectionate person, so it wasn't much of anything that she was being rather openly touchy-feely with Eva. Of course, considering the amount of people surrounding them and the sheer amount of gossip it would bring, perhaps she shouldn't have done it. Either way, she had a rather amused smirk on her face as Eva took her hand to start leading them towards the ship. Publicity was never really a bad thing and perhaps the gossip surrounding her weekend getaway with Eva would be enough to start covering up any gossip that revolved around her disappearances as of late. Though she had definitely said yes because she wanted to be there with Eva, the ulterior motives that she gained from it weren't something that Ari was opposed to. She'd been a Slytherin for a reason, even if it didn't always show.
Despite having been on a cruise before, it still fascinated her to see just how much stuff they could back into one floating building. Even more impressive was the room that Eva had gotten them. "Shit, it's kind of perfect," Ari commented as they walked in, her eyes flicking around the room eagerly as she took in the different amenities that they were offered. Being famous sure as hell had it's perks. Letting her bag drop haphazardly to the floor off to the side, Ari moved over to sit on the bed. Definitely comfortable and definitely somewhere she could spend quite a bit of time. "A drink would be lovely, doll. We obviously have to toast to a perfect weekend away," she nodded, grinning up at Eva as she spoke. Any hesitations she may have had quickly melted away as time went on and perhaps Ari would actually get to have a real vacation this time around.

A wide, happy and satisfied smile tugged at Eva's lips at comment, she watched the other woman for a moment as she looked about the room in awe, and then went straight for the champagne. "Of course." she chimed in agreement with Ari's second comment and popped the cork on the bottle, quickly moving to pour the liquid into the two champagne glasses before it spilled all over her hand. Placing the bottle down, Eva picked up the two glasses and sauntered over to where Ari was sat. "To a perfect weekend."
Eva lightly clinked her glass against Ari's and then took a long sip from her drink, all the while watching the brunette sat across from her. It was nice to see Ari acting more like herself. When they'd met at the club she'd been locked up in a shell, a little shy and a little akward. Not at all like the Ari she knew. Something had definitely been off about her then. But now, now she had returned to the familiar Ari she knew and liked. It was a good thing because she knew it would have annoyed her if Ari had been hiding herself away. Mostly because Eva would be constantly thinking about why Ari was acting different. It would ruin her weekend. Well, maybe not, but it would a distraction. An unwelcome one. "So, what's first on the agenda?" Eva asked after taking another sip of her champagne.

Taking the glass from Eva with a pleased nod, Ari was more than ready to get the weekend started. If there was anyone that she could think of to spend a weekend with that might get her back to her usual self, it would be Eva. Taking a sip from her glass once they had toasted to their weekend, Ari played with the glass in her hand as she looked over at Eva. There was more than enough to do on the ship, so it was really just a matter of deciding where they wanted to go and what sort of things they wanted to do with their time. Ari's first thought was that she almost just wanted to stay there in the room, since there wasn't anyone else in the room and therefore nothing to worry about. However, she had a feeling that Eva would be less than thrilled if that was her decision.
Taking another sip from the champagne in her hand, Ari bobbed her head for a moment, trying to come up with something that would keep her in her current comfort zone, as well as be something fun for Eva. "Well, uh, we could go grab an early lunch or something at the steakhouse?" she suggested with a shrug. The steakhouse probably wasn't particularly busy at such an early hour and Ari was never going to say no to eating. "But, yanno, we could do whatever, I guess," she added, playing it off like she was completely down for whatever Eva could come up with. She was going to attempt to make the best of the weekend and keep herself chill, so she was hopeful that it would all work out just fine. The full moon had been a few days prior, so she didn't have much to worry about from that, aside from the scratches on her stomach, but that could be dealt with later.

"Dinner sounds perfect." Eva agreed, rolling her neck from side to side in an attempt to work out the kinks. There was a dull ache that throbbed in her limbs and joints from her week of Quidditch practice and drills. She'd have to remember to book herself in for an all over body massage sometime this weekend. Ari would probably enjoy something like that, so she made a mental note to go ahead and book the pair of them for one later. But for now, Ari's idea to get food would be their first move.
"I'm a vegetarian though, so no steak for me." Eva swallowed the rest of her champagne and stood so that she could place her empty glass on the side. "Let's go." she flashed Ari a smile, and nudged her head towards the door, indicating for the other woman to follow. "All of the restaurants are on the level below this, so it won't take long to get there." she explained as they left the room, closing the door as they went.

"Excellent," Ari nodded, glad that Eva wasn't against the idea. It was a simple start to the weekend, but it at least would get Ari out of the room and more accustomed to the bustle of the ship. Her eyes barely left Eva, so she noticed how the other woman rolled her neck around uncomfortably. "Rough week of practice?" she asked, a hint of concern in her voice. She could certainly sympathize with that, though it had been awhile since she had been to a full week of training. Admittedly, she was a bit jealous, since she actually kind of missed Quidditch. She still got to play a bit here and there, but until the next season came around and she was cleared medically, she was still not allowed to practice fully.
At Eva's comment about being a vegetarian, Ari's nose crinkled up slightly. She couldn't have lived without meat, which was a recent side-effect from being a new werewolf. She's never been much of a meat eater before, but she most definitely was now. "Good, good, let's get out of here," she nodded, smiling over at Eva as she grabbed her purse to head out of the room. She didn't know if she'd need it, but it would have seemed weird leaving without it. Waiting until she was walking at Eva's side, Ari followed along over towards the staircase to get down to the second floor. As Eva had promised, it was extremely close to their room and they were soon at the entrance to the steakhouse. "Yeah, table for two," she said with a nod to the waiter, as he led them over to a table near the windows.

Eva glanced up mid-neck rub when Ari spoke and smiled a little, rolling her shoulders back into a shrug. "You know how it is." she murmered, because of course Ari knew exactly how hard Quidditch could work your body. "It's nothing a good massage won't fix." she winked at Ari, her playful smile suggesting that she wouldn't mind if Ari was to give her the massage.
The trip to the Steak House took all of two minutes and it took less than a minute to be seated at a table. "We'll have a bottle of red wine." Eva said and dismissed the waiter with a wave of her hand, ignoring the look of annoyance he had shot at her. "A vegetarian dining at a Steak House. Ironic, no?" she gave Ari a grin and pushed the menu the waiter had left on the table towards the other woman, she didn't need it after all. "So, how was Africa?" Eva had yet to ask Ari how her trip overseas had been.

The difficult, long weeks that accompanied being a professional player were something that Ari had really come to crave. When you got used to the rigor of it, not being able to participate was pretty killer. She still put herself through a lot and there was no lack of sore muscles on her part, but it wasn't the same. She played Quidditch because she loved it. She became a werewolf each month because she had to. "Yeah, you know, maybe we'll have to fit something like that into our schedule," she replied with a playful tone of her own. That certainly wouldn't be something Ari was opposed to, though she quite doubted her Healer would think it was such a great plan, given the injuries to her stomach at the moment.
As they sat down, Ari gave the waiter a quick smile before Eva shooed him away to bring them a bottle of wine. She felt a bit bad for him, since there were probably a lot of people that treated him that way, but she supposed it couldn't quite be helped. "Yeah, sorry. We could go somewhere else if you want?" Ari shrugged, not having too much of a problem with that. She was personally just used to eating a lot more red meat than usual now. "Uh, Africa was good. I mean, yeah. It was good," she answered with a decisive nod as she started to fiddle with the menu in front of her a bit. The trip was something she didn't get into much, but there wasn't much of a chance to avoid it. "How are the Tornadoes doing?" she asked, changing the subject rather abruptly from her own personal life to something she hoped Eva was more interested in.

"It's fine." Eva dismissed Ari's offer to leave with another wave of her hand. "They do salads here, I'm sure." She smiled and then folded her arms onto the table, listening and watching Ari carefully as she answered her question on Africa. Ever since Eva had determined that there was something not quite right with Ari, she'd been watching the other woman closely. Eva liked to think she was quite good at reading people and their body language. Right now Ari was coming across nervous and a little edgy, even if she didn't mean to. It told Eva that Ari's disappearance to Africa was definitely something to dig deeper into. "That's nice." Eva smiled, her sly and conniving intentions and thoughts hidden behind a sweet smile.
"We're doing good." Eva said with a gentle shrug. Of course they were doing good, they were The Tutshill Tornados afterall. "We'd be doing better with you on our team." she added and quirked her eyebrow a little. "But... oh well." she sighed, a small pout forming on her lips and glanced across the room, purposely ignoring Ari for the moment. Just then the waiter arrived with their wine. After pouring out two glasses he asked if they were ready to order. "I'll have the Ceasar salad." Eva glanced back over at Ari, waiting for her to order too.

Ari replied with a quick nod, sure that Eva was right. A place like this was far too classy to not serve just about anything you could possibly have asked for. "Yeah, probably," Ari said, shrugging a bit. She much preferred to eat there, considering her recent diet. Which, hopefully, was something that Eva would overlook. However, considering how intently Eva listened to everything that she said, it was highly unlikely that anything that she said or did would be overlooked. That complete attention didn't strike Ari as odd in the least, possibly because she was rather hopeful as to what it might mean. It was stupid of her, perhaps, to believe it was because Eva actually cared, but they were there together on a couple's cruise, so perhaps it wasn't nearly as silly as it seemed. Though, Ari wasn't exactly the most difficult person to fool.
A bit of a smile rose to her face as Eva spoke about the Tornadoes doing well, but it was quickly replaced with a furrowed brow when Eva mentioned her own potential position with the team. It was something Ari had considered and even still was, but her current loyalties still sat with Puddlemere and she simply couldn't give that up yet. "Oh, well, yeah...you guys are probably desperate to have me. Most people are," Ari shrugged. She was a damn good player and considering the Tornadoes recent loss of a chaser, they could use her. Drumming her fingers anxiously on the table for a moment, Ari was quite relieved when the waiter came to take their order. "I guess I'll have the filet mignon, as rare as you're allowed to serve it," Ari answered, putting her order in with pursed lips. She hated having to order from any sort of muggle restaurant even most wizarding restaurants, since most people didn't understand why she would possibly want to eat meat like that. And it wasn't like she was going to explain it, either. At least, not with any bit of truth behind her words.

Eva couldn't help but raise her brows at Ari's very arrogant comment. It was the first thing the other woman had said all day that reminded Eva of the Ari she'd known back in school. A smile fell across her lips. If Eva was being perfectly honest, she missed that Ari. The confident and cocky one who thought everyone loved her and the very ground she walked. To say that she'd been disappointed with the new quiet and nervous Ari, when they'd met at the club, may have been an understatement. Of course she knew people changed, but she never would have thought that Ari would. The other woman had a very strong and defined personality. People like her rarely ever changed. Which brought Eva right back around to her thinking that something was wrong, probably very wrong, with Ariella Davies.
For a moment Eva simply stared at Ari. As rare as you're allowed to serve it? It was hard to keep the flicker of disgust from crossing her face. Eva hated to eat meat, really hated it. But to eat it rare was much worse. "What are you, some sort of animal?" she teased, and then slid her hand across the table to take hold of Ari's. "You know, they're having a Captain's dinner tonight. Would you go with me?" she injected just the right amount of shyness into her smile as looked up at the other woman through her lowered lashes. Eva was going to get down to the bottom of whatever is was that was going on with Ari, even if she had to make the other girl think that she fancied her. Getting close to people, Eva had learned, was always the easiest way to get information out of them.

The look that Eva gave her when she made her order brought a pang of distress to Ari. She knew that a lot of her new habits were things that the average person would find strange or disgusting, but there was nothing that she could do about it. Her new werewolf body needed the rare meat to function properly, as much as she hated it. However, even worse than the look of disgust Eva had was the comment that accompanied it. An animal. That was exactly what she was, when it came down to it. Thoughts like that plagued her constantly and it killed her each time. "Uh, no...it's just some new Quidditch diet I learned about in Africa. Supposed to develop the muscles to be stronger or something," she explained, throwing out the first potentially sensible explanation that she could think of. Fortunately for Ari, she was always doing weird, crazy things and it wasn't too out of the ordinary for her to pull something weird like that.
The momentary distress that she felt, however, quickly faded when she felt Eva's hand on her own. Whatever it was about Eva, she couldn't help but feel a slight flutter of something inside of her when the other woman did that. Ari hated that there was someone out there that could make her feel like it, but she had no idea what she could do that would make it stop. "I suppose I could take some time out of my busy schedule to go with you," Ari replied with a nonchalant shrug, though there was a bright smile playing at her lips as she spoke. When it came to anything related to her being a werewolf, she was nervous as hell, but anything else was fair game for her and she could be as cocky and normal as she wanted to be.
