Derrick's job at Hogwarts was something he was extremely proud of with his life. It was a position he had held only for two years, but there was no other job that he would want to have. Most people would probably think that teaching kids about history was dull, but Derrick was fascinated by every aspect of his subject. In school, it had always been his favorite thing to learn about and that carried over to his later years, landing him his eventual position at Hogwarts. When he was younger, he hadn't thought that being a professor was something he would ever want to do, but his opinion had changed drastically once he started actually working there.
While he liked teaching the class, he wasn't nearly as thrilled when it came to grading the papers that came along with it. Reading through essay after essay on the same subject quickly grew to be boring for Derrick. As much as he loved the material, it wasn't quite as interesting when only half-heartedly written about by his students. Jotting down a note on one of the pages of the essay he was half-way through, Derrick looked down at it with a sigh. Much like usual, this particular student had put no effort into the paper and probably had made up the majority of what they wrote. That didn't give Derrick much hope that the rest of the papers would be any better.
Finishing off the paper in front of him, Derrick moved it over to the stack of graded essays and reached over for another. As much as he had accomplished, it almost felt like he had gotten nowhere when he looked at the pile he still had to finish. It was the price to pay for having a job that he actually enjoyed. Derrick loved it since he was in a good place, his co-workers were generally nice enough, and he got to immerse himself in a subject he loved. A few small downfalls were nothing when he reaped so many benefits. Letting out one last sigh, Derrick continued on with the next paper, ready to finish it off.

Charlotte quietly walked down the schools corridors, it wasn’t late, maybe around 6:30 pm but she still was dressed in her pajama’s. A pair of blue pajama bottoms, that dragged against the floor, and a blue shirt that swamped her small shoulders. Images of white fluffy cartoon sheep decorated her pajama bottoms. There was also an image of one large sheep on the front of her large shirt that was earning a few strange stares from passers-by. Despite the fact that every time she wore these pajamas around the school, she ended up on the receiving end of some funny and degrading stares, they were her favorite. They were comfortable and the sheep were cute.
In her hands Chuck carried a stack of papers, they were posters she'd mocked up to help search for her missing cat, Puddles. He'd disappeared two nights ago and she hadn't seen him since. Chuck was convinced that he'd been kidnapped and was being held for ransom, she'd found one of the golden bells that hung from his collar outside her dorm room last night; a token from the kidnappers? But who had taken Puddles and why? "Help find Puddles!" she called out into the corridor as a group of students passed and quickly handed each of them a poster. "I think he's been kidnapped, so if you here anything report back to me, okay?" she flashed them a smile through her concern and then hurried along the corridor, completely missing the strange stares they exchanged.
An hour of trolling the castle, handing out posters to students, passed before she turned her attention to the schools Professors. After stopping by Roy Vaughn's classroom, (he hadn't been in) and then Miss Lehane's, she finally came to the History Professors' classroom. Knocking on the door, she opened it and peeked her head into the room, smiling when she spotted Derrick sat at his desk. "Mr. Crabbe!" she entered quickly, her hands clutching the last few posters she had left. "Do you have a minute? It's really, very important."
