Violet was sat elegantly in one of the couched in the Common Room reading the latest number of TeenWitch. She was so absorbed by it that she didn't even bother going to dinner when some of her friends suggested her. She remembered mumbling something like 'yeah, yeah' or 'in a minute’ or something close by and they moved on. The magazine was so intriguing because it was giving the newest make-up advices on the latest trends in this autumn-winter season and obviously as she hated to be out-of-date she had just got to know them. Of course normal people would have took a small break to go eat something before bed, but little miss impatient here had to finish reading, she just had to know and she needed to do so now. Who cared about food anyway! Well apparently she did as after a good while her stomach started rumbling. Ignoring it for now she just turned the page to read on. It wasn't until the first students began returning that she realized how late it was. She was positive it only have been a few minutes but judging by the amount of people returning to the common room she was obviously mistaking.
Leaving the magazine aside, unfinished article and such, the girl hurried to the Great Hall. She dodged a few second or thirds years along the way as she sped up down the dungeons corridors. So much for her usual elegance, but she didn’t care since her mother wasn't around to scold her on this little antic
Reaching the infamous hall, Violet stopped in the door before fully entering to catch her breath. Well she could speed up in the halls but surely that would look bad if done in the Great Hall too, so taking a few deep breaths to steady her heartbeat the girl entered in her usual elegant manner. She could notice there were only few people remained but that was alright because she was quite hungry and so her usual dinner chit-chats could be postponed. Finding a seat at the Slytherin table, the girl pulled what was remained of the food plates and started filling in her own happily.

Tyler was no stranger to busy days, but he much preferred when those days were filled with fun, as opposed to classes and school work. Most days he had a pretty light schedule, but it seemed there was always that one day of the week where he had every class under the sun. The classes had taken up the majority of his day and it was already quite late by the time he trudged back down to the Slytherin dormitories to change out of his robes. Tyler liked to be comfortable once his classes were over, so he usually changed into a pair of loose jeans and a t-shirt once he was finished with his classes each day. Once he was comfortably wearing something else, Tyler organized all of his papers and books from the day back into their respective places at his desk and looked at getting started with some of his homework.
While homework wasn't exactly at the top of his list of things to do, he honestly didn't have that much else to distract him from it. Audrey was no where to be found and most of his mates were out in Hogsmeade for the night having a good time, so Tyler had his schoolwork. However, being the excellent procrastinator that he was, Tyler managed to come up with an utterly perfect reason for him to postpone the inevitable- dinner. Tyler hadn't eaten since breakfast, so clearly it would be a fantastic time for him to head down to the Great Hall and grab a bite to eat before he set about tackling his homework for the evening. Grabbing his jacket, Tyler slid it on and took off for the Great Hall. He wasn't usually that excited to eat, but it was a lot better than doing homework, so it was clearly an exciting moment.
It was fairly late, so there weren't many people out in the halls or even in the Great Hall itself. For Tyler, that was a bit of a bummer, since he loved hanging out around other people and just talking to whoever. Fortunately, when he got into the Great Hall, he spotted a rather familiar face sitting down at the Slytherin table. Jaunting over there, Tyler slid into the seat next to Violet with a grin. "Hey, V, what's going on?" he asked as he grabbed himself a plate. As Audrey's sister, Tyler was pretty familiar with Violet and he liked her well enough that he didn't mind having a conversation with her. Besides, they would be family someday in the near future, so the more he got to know her, the better.

Violet was quite pleased as she found some of her favorite foods: there were chicken wings, mashed potatoes, some rice and a mixture of vegetables and of course desserts that she left aside as to not be tempted to eat it before the main course. The girl usually got easily bored even with food, so she needed a variety. Surely she didn’t eat much, but she did get a little of everything she liked just for the heck of it. Really now, eating and doing one thing was completely boring so obviously there had to be at least two to balance each other and to keep little Miss Impatient happy.
Elegantly grabbing a fork, Violet was about to take her first bite when she stopped at the sound of a voice. A somewhat familiar voice that came from the boy that seated himself next to her: Tyler Zabini. He was a sixth year snake that she personally didn’t speak to before his engagement with her sister, Audrey. She didn’t do it intentionally, but it just happened. Even to this day she couldn’t really get it how he and her sister got together but oh well, apparently she wasn’t as good at gossiping as she thought herself to be.
,,Hey, Ty'' the girl greeted smiling before taking that said first bite and chewing carefully ,,nothing much'' she said after swallowing just as carefully. She once chocked badly with some food and nearly died suffocated so since then she always is more then careful when eating ,,just having my dinner. What about you? Why so late? Surely you didn’t make up with my sister and forgot about dinner, right?'' she questioned teasingly, her usual smirk flourishing in the corner of her lips as she watched him carefully. She highly doubted it happened as if it did Audrey would be here too, but she wasn't so she could only assume he wasn’t with her and he better had not been with any other girl either as she didn’t take lightly on people screwing with her baby sister.

As Tyler seated himself next to Violet, he quickly grabbed the plate in front of him to start loading it with food. He wasn't a picky eater at all, so he ended up with a little bit of everything there on the plate. The house elves always gave them such variety that it was kind of impossible not to want to eat some of each dish that they put in front of them. After all, it was always quite delicious and Tyler was very rarely disappointed with his meals there at the castle. He knew a lot of people that didn't eat there, but he thought they were crazy. It was free food, it was always good, and you got to socialize with all of the other students. As far as he was concerned, there was no way you could lose by choosing to eat in the Great Hall.
Giving Violet a grin as she greeted him, Tyler started attacking his food as she spoke, getting a few bites in before it was his turn to reply. Tyler was a rather voracious eater and definitely wasn't going about it nearly as carefully as Violet, but that was just how he'd always been. Her questions brought a look of surprise to his face and his eyebrows shot up slightly at her last one, though he quickly furrowed them back down and shrugged in response. "I was in classes all day, so I haven't had a chance to make it down until now," he provided as an explanation. He definitely didn't want her to think that he was doing anything like that with Audrey, since he definitely had too much respect for her. "I actually haven't seen her around today, aside from in one or two classes we have together." He hated that he hadn't gotten to see her much, but there were some days where they were both just too busy.
Taking another bite of his food, Tyler let it chew in his mouth as he thought for a moment on what else he was going to say. He'd not talked much with Violet before, even though he had always been extremely close friends with Audrey. "So, how are things with you?" he asked, conversationally. To be honest, he didn't know all too much about Violet, even though he saw her around all the time. That, hopefully, was something that he would be able to change soon. The more he learned about Audrey's the family, the more he would come to feel like a part of it.

Violet couldn’t help but cock a brow at the way Tyler was eating but she said nothing. It wasn't her concern how others did it especially if it was quite unlikely to be seen in his company too often, after all he was her sister's fiancée and she'd never trespass on her family’s territory, not that she cared to ass he obviously wasn’t her type. Hearing the answer she couldn’t help but smile at what dorky little boy her parents picked, but he sounded perfect for Audrey, just tow quiet little sixth years joined together by a sudden decision. The eldest Nott knew it was pretty selfish of her, but she was happy they picked her sister and not her. She really hated the idea to be tied down already even to someone she liked. Unlike the youngest Nott, she was more on the superficial level in about everything she did because her only main concern was to have fun no matter what. she didn’t care if that went against the rules, she didn’t care if she was frowned down, hell she didn’t even care if her parents didn’t approve but only as long as there were no real consequences like addiction or allowance cuts. Urgh, the latest were the worst, how could anyone survive without money? Really now, she had cloths and jewels to buy and attend parties and she surely couldn’t look out of date, now could she?
,,Right'' Violet said with a nod before taking another bite of her meal. Hm... Now she remembered why she hasn’t talked much to Ty before... they had nothing to talk about. He was like Audrey, too busy being a shy dork, a wallflower if you may. Sure, she loved her sister dearly, but she so wished they were more alike. Maybe if she resembled some of her friends then they could really rock this school up. Of well, she was her baby sister and in a way it was better she was this way because it didn't give much reasons to Violet to worry for her ,,oh the usual, quidditch practice was awesome and I’m pretty sure we will win our next game, i have a detention tomorrow that I’m really not looking forward to, but considering the fact i managed to avoid three others i say 1 outta four is pretty reasonable'' she said sheepishly even though her pose was as innocent as ever ,,what about you, what have you been up to other then classes?" she questioned curiously while wondering if it was more of this Zabini boy then it met the eye, fun wise of course as school wise she could really care less about it.

To be honest, the two of them didn't have very much in common at all, which made it a bit difficult for Tyler to really figure out what to ask about or what to approach with Violet. From what he knew, she seemed like the more athletic, popular, go out any party sort of person. Though he was anything but shy, he definitely wasn't the kind of guy that you would see out and about in the party scene. Usually Tyler was happy to just chill around in the commons room, talk to whoever was around and maybe play a few rounds of chess with his mates. The laid back, do whatever kind of life was definitely more his thing than the go out and do things life was. However, he didn't see anything wrong with liking to go out and have a good time at the club or whatever. It certainly appealed to a lot of people in their age group, just not himself.
Nodding a bit at her response, Tyler was definitely glad to hear that practice went well for the team. He didn't play Quidditch, but he loved going to the matches and it was always nice to see his team bring home the win. "That's great. I'm definitely looking forward to the game. You guys are playing Ravenclaw next, right?" he asked, cocking his head over towards her as he spoke. He had put his food down at that point, since he wasn't going to eat while he was talking. Being rude wasn't really something Tyler was fond of. "Oh, yeah, I have one next week myself. Got caught pulling a prank with Audrey the other day, so yeah," he commented with a slight laugh. He didn't really get into trouble for doing anything actually bad, mostly just when he was goofing around and doing silly things that would irritate the Ravenclaws or more often some of the grumpier people in his own house.
Thinking on her question a moment, he slowly shrugged in response, not really sure what he had been up to. "Well, I went out last weekend to a few venues to watch some live music with a few of my mates, which was pretty cool. Then I went mini-golfing as well, so that was fun," he answered with a nod. He usually only went out and did things on the weekend, since he had a pretty packed schedule for his week at school, but there were times he went out around Hogsmeade. "Audrey and I went and walked around London I think it was two or three days ago now? Went around some of the shops and just hung out. It was a good time," he added. Other than that, he couldn't think of anything in particular that he'd spent any length of time with. "I guess it hasn't been that busy of a week what with all the papers I've had to write."

,,Mhm'' Violet said nodding and swallowing her last bite ,,i can't wait to see Ephraim's face when they will lose'' she said grinning more then amused at the newly formed imagine in her head. She really loved to win and even more then that she loved to see people be annoyed with the fact she had won. Sore losers could be so delightful, not that the mentioned boy was one of those, but the others surely were like Wood for instance. He absolutely hated to lose especially in front of the Slytherins. She had a lot of house pride too, but what that boy was doing was absolutely ridiculous. Gryff/Slyth wars were so ancient in her point of view just like the mentalities some of the students here at Hogwarts still held. Oh well, they will come to see the truth even if it has to hit them straight in the face.
,,Really? What did you do?" Violet questioned curiously. She knew her sister had her silly moments, but she couldn’t actually remember an actual prank she pulled mainly because she rarely paid attention to such stuff thinking they were too childish and that her sister would eventually grow up out of them, but even so, she really had no idea she actually had partners in crime. Now that was interesting to see whoever actually bothers with stuff like that.
Violet listened while she continued her eating. She was hyper enough to do more things at once and even do them recently enough and so it was a piece of cake to continue her eating while listening to her future brother-in-law when something stroke her ,,How did you reach London?'' she questioned rather curiously as from her knowledge he was underage just like her sister was, so obviously appareting was out of the question and the stuff didn’t let too many escapades during school, so how did they arrive there?

Tyler honestly didn't have a clue who Ephraim was, so he simply nodded a bit in response. He was probably a friend of Violet's that was a Ravenclaw and they likely had some sort of competitive friendship when it came to Quidditch. "It should be a good match, for sure," he agreed. Honestly, Tyler only really paid attention to the games so much as to know who was playing which weeks and who won each match. Outside of that, he couldn't tell you a whole lot about any of the players or what went on during the matches. It was interesting to a point, but sitting there watching it could quickly lose his attentions and he usually ended up just talking to someone else throughout the entire match. He appreciated that people could do all of that on the brooms and such, but he wasn't a big fan of competition in general.
Violet's question brought a curious look to his face, followed by a rather mischievous one. He didn't really share any of what he did with other people, just in case he ever decided to use the prank again or they thought it would be a good idea to turn him into the professors for it or something. "Oh, you know, just things. Funny things," he shrugged, leaving it cryptically at that. He wasn't sure how much Aubrey talked to her sister about their pranking activities, so he wasn't going to go and rat her out about it and get her into any trouble. They were, after all, just having a bit of fun with their lives and no one ever ended up getting hurt by it. Embarrassed, perhaps, but certainly not hurt. Tyler had never been mean-spirited enough to do something to hurt other people, unless of course there was a good reason behind it.
It wasn't that difficult to get to London and there were plenty of different ways to accomplish that if they ever needed to, so Tyler found her question a bit odd. "Oh, we were able to floo from one of the shops in Hogsmeade. They let students do it all the time, really. There's always emergencies back home or just whatever," he answered with a shrug. It was usually how he had to get around during the week, unless he happened to be with a friend that could apparate. Fortunately, he was only a few weeks off from his next birthday and would soon be capable of doing so himself. "How did you used to get places back when you couldn't apparate?" he asked, assuming that she must have. Staying there in Hogwarts all through the school year just didn't seem feasible to him

,,Obviously, after all I’m in it'' Violet said smirking arrogantly in her usual manner. She may not be as harsh as her parents were in school, but she definitely was a snake and that meant, in her point of view, that she just had to have the i-own-the-world attitude. Really now, she was great and anyone who didn’t realize that was the biggest fool that ever lived, so we could say that the meaning of the word modest was like a distant foreign language to her.
,,Details'' Violet said simply as her long nailed fingers wrapped around the golden goblet in front of her and lifted it to her mouth. She took a small sip as she waited to hear what stupidity these two thought as funny. Ok, Audrey could be amusing at times, but in the same time she was so childish that it amazed her they were even related to one another. Not that the brunette was all serious and stuff, but still, she didn’t go around messing with water balloons or changing hair color charms. They were just plain silly and useless in her point of view and they shouldn’t ever be used not even for revenge.
,,Really? I didn’t realize that'' Violet said shrugging even though it kind of irked her she didn’t know this before. She could have gone shopping in Paris or Milan so many times if only she knew. Oh well, no use crying over spilled milk, so let’s move on ,,I didn’t'' she said simply ,,unless i was taken away by my parents, i never went away from Hogwarts, so...'' she said with a dismissive hand motion towards the annoyance that took over her that she didn’t know she could floo away. Of course that didn’t really mean she actually stayed only in Hogwarts, as she almost always had older friends and boyfriends who appareted her away now and then starting around year four, but for an odd reason she didn’t truly feel like telling this to Tyler. She didn’t know for sure why was that, nor if that will start changing soon as he seemed just as reserved towards her as she was, but she guessed that only time will tell for sure how things would evolve between them, after all they will soon be family, so...

Tyler had never been one to have that big of an ego, nor did he often hang around people that had overly large ego's, so Violet's attitude was something that he had to learn to get used to. "Ah, of course. Nothing better than having one of the Nott sisters around, eh?" he asked, jokingly. Though, he rather doubted that Violet was joking around about what she had said. It was always weird to Tyler to see how different Violet and Audrey were from each other, considering they were both raised in the same environment and such. However, he was glad that they were different and he loved Audrey just like she was.Violet would take some time to get used to, but he was determined to try his best to at least be on good terms with the girl, if anything just for Audrey's sake. He doubted he would ever become the best of friends with Violet, but that was okay with him.
Tyler awkwardly started to fiddle with his thumbs a bit when Violet demanded more information about the various pranks that he and Audrey had been up to. Violet didn't seem like the sort of person that would be amused by that sort of thing, so he felt like she was just looking to find something to criticize him about. "Well, uh, we charmed a corridor the other day to turn people blue if they walked through it," he offered, shrugging slightly. It was something that he personally had been rather amused by, but he had a feeling that Violet would be less impressed by it. "We do all kinds of things, really," he added. There was a lot of fun to be had if you were into that sort of thing, so Tyler wasn't too ashamed by it. If he was having a good time with it, than it shouldn't matter what anyone else thought about it.
To be honest, Ty was a bit surprised that Violet had never really left Hogwarts in her earlier years. They weren't really supposed to leave, but the staff generally didn't mind it, as long as you were back where you were supposed to be by the time specified by each Head of House. "Yeah, it's not something I do all that often. I mean, Hogsmeade usually has everything you could really need," he shrugged, not thinking it was that big of a deal. He wouldn't have minded just staying around the castle all the time, since he really enjoyed himself there. It was a fun place to be and all of his friends were around, so there was nothing wrong with just hanging there at the castle. Though, Tyler was a pretty simple person, so it wasn't too surprising that he could be entertained by just the castle and his friends.
