mornings were always pretty slow at the three broomsticks, she didn't mind, she would rather it being slow in the morning than loud and busy. she liked her mornings to be quiet and with as little people around as possible. not that she didn't mind people, she was still half asleep and hadn't bothered to have any coffee, she was far too lazy at this time of the day for that. she rested her arms on the bar and deeply sighed, she was exhausted from the night before. she would never get used to men coming to get drunk and not leave till the morning. she didn't mind it, it was just exhausting, she never got a lot of sleep, she would fall asleep at the bar, waiting for the drunk to stumble out of the three broomsticks. she rested her head on her arms, closed her eyes and almost fell asleep. she really would've liked it if she was able to fall asleep at that moment, but she was on duty, so she would have to start working sooner or later.
she looked up tiredly at the bloke who walked through the door, she recognized him the second she saw his face. miles aldridge. she hated him all through school, she didn't think very highly of him, he was just plain annoying. when she would stay in her room and study, he would be off partying, not caring about anybody but himself. she didn't like those types of people, she actually hated those types of people.
she stood up straight and rubbed her eyes. "what can i get you?" she asked, not really looking at him. she wanted nothing at all to do with him, and would always feel that way about him. there was no use in trying to be friends with him, she tried it during her fifth year, she tried helping him with herbology, but he just teased her, getting her angry. she automatially left the room afterwards and didn't really speak to him after except to yell at him. she folded her arms over her chest and frowned. the two have grown up since school, was it possible that he had changed completely, doing a 180? was he now the person that she had wanted to be friendly with during their younger years?
