It had unfortunately been quite awhile since Louis had been out anywhere exciting with his mates. Quite a few of them had finished up their schoolwork and exams early and had left the campus for break. Louis, however, would probably be there up to the last day, working tirelessly to try and pull everything together for his classes. He wasn't stupid, but school didn't come easily for the poor boy. However, there were certainly times when he knew that he needed to set everything down and take a breather from the work. Sometimes it seemed like it was all just coming together to suffocate him and he knew that it was time to just get away from it and rest his mind. Fortunately for Louis, he had no problem at all with going out and just walking around with no plans in mind.
If anything,he certainly would find good companion for a walk around the grounds and then perhaps an adventure from there. There were plenty of people around the school and Louis just had to find someone worth the time to adventure with. Louis had never been too good at making plans and liked to just go along with things however they happened to play out, so just finding someone along the way was definitely something his style. There were plenty of places he could go and Louis wasn't at all opposed to a longer break than he had initially anticipated taking if he did happen to find someone. After all, it wasn't like anything had to be done right away and Louis had plenty of time to accomplish his school work.
Leaving from the library, Louis packed his books away into his bag, summoned his jacket to himself, and quickly made his way down to the grounds. He headed out towards one of the closest trees to the entrance of the grounds and leaned up against it, assuming someone would come by eventually. It was just starting to be sundown, which made the grounds absolutely beautiful, and Louis was definitely ready to be out in it for awhile. Even if it was cold, it was still a good time and he could always warm up later. Settling in, Louis kept his eyes focused on the front of the castle, waiting for someone fun to make their way out towards him.

It was break. Finally some time to get go around, cause some trouble and totally sleep in. That was Corie’s plan. Her assignments were already done, most were actually overdone, seeing she had a very opinionated mind, but done nonetheless. It left her with lots of time for fun (which happened to end up in lots of trouble) and sleep, much needed sleep. But at this moment the girl was a bit too wild up and excited to sleep. She was in school for break seeing as her parents went off and visited one of her siblings. Recently Corie stopped calling them her adoptive family. They were just her family now. They took her in when she needed somewhere to go and made her feel at home, like she actually had one, another Hogwarts. She loved it. But this break, they needed to check up on the other kids. Corie smiled at the thought. If she remembered correctly the older three were married with the oldest having a kid on its way. That was her family.
Corie dug mindlessly through her trunk. She was itching to get out of her uniform, but her attention was lost in some other world. By the time she noticed a lot of her clothes were just lying in a pile. “Huh.”she muttered surprised she didn’t realize her actions. The girl shrugged it off before she pulled off that uncomfortable collared shirt and replaced it with a nice blue tank top. She then went for the pants instead of the that ugly skirt and soon Corie was pulling her leather jacket on and making sure her wand was in her pocket and her hair was in place. She was then off to find out who was still at school. She had been so busy with all her activities she forgot that the holidays were here and to see who would be here for some mayhem. Corie sighed when she climbed the stairs and saw no one in the common room. “Bummer.” She sighed before leaving the common room and heading up the stairs that lead out of the dungeon.
The Hall wasn’t so bad. They were a lot more kids roaming around than sitting around and she was glad for that, except most of them she hardly ever talk to. It wasn’t going to help her in the slightest bit until she saw a familiar brunette make his way out of the doors and onto the grounds. She didn’t need to give it a second thought. As soon as the doors were closed Corie was pushing them open again and standing on the steps, her hands on her hips and her blue eyes searching the place. Louis was set up against a tree apparently waiting for someone. “Wouldn’t hurt if I helped him wait.” She commented to herself before she ran down the stairs and jogged, skipped over to him. “Weasley!” she raised her voice as she got closer to him. Corie was a bit of an odd ball with odd traits to go along with it. But this Weasley didn’t seem to mind, they were pretty close and so far, Corie hadn’t scared him away. The blonde took up a spot next to him on the tree and propped her foot on it. “So.” She began, “Who are we waiting for?” her eyes roamed the grounds expecting someone to jump out of nowhere and steal him away.

Although he tried to be, Louis wasn't the most patient of people and when he was sitting around waiting, he usually got quite distracted by everything else going on around him. Louis didn't do well on his own and functioned much better in the company of other people. Fortunately for Louis, living at Hogwarts meant that it was very rare for him to be alone, since there was a ready supply of friends around every corner. On the downside however, the odd times that he did find himself with no one around, he was much more lonely than he would have been otherwise. Having people around constantly made the difference between having company and not having company all the more stark. Luckily, that rarely lasted for too long and before Louis knew it there were people coming in and out of the castle, one of which in particular he knew quite well.
Shifting up off from the tree he had been leaning on, Louis greeted Corie with a huge grin as she came over towards him. They had been pretty close friends for awhile now and he quite loved hanging out with her. "Finch, hey!" he called out in greeting, waving his hand in the air a bit as she made her way over. Corie could be a bit quirky sometimes, but that was probably what he liked most about her. She wasn't afraid of being who she was and Louis appreciated that trait in people. Leaning back to the tree, Louis raised his hands up to his head and scratched at the back for a moment before shrugging. "Well, I was obviously waiting for you, Corie. Who else would I waste my time for?" he joked, chuckling a bit as he spoke. Technically, it was a bit true, since he had more or less just been waiting for the first person that would come along to entertain him. Corie was certainly a good choice of people to do just that, since she was always exciting to be around.
Now that he had someone with him, Louis had a stream of ideas running through his mind as to what they could go do. He was the sort of person that liked to do something new whenever he had the chance, so keeping things exciting was something Louis worked towards each day. "So, whatcha up to?" he asked the other girl, his eyes settling on her as they started to have a conversation. His attention probably wouldn't last for too long, considering how bouncily eager he could be about things, but he generally at least tried to hold a normal conversation before running off to do something fun. Bouncing back off from the tree, Louis turned himself towards Corie and started to stretch his arms out a bit. "Want to go hang out or something?" he asked, a hopeful look on his face. He wasn't sure if Corie was busy or not, but he was hoping that she would have some spare time to just do whatever. It had been awhile since he'd last seen her, so they were do for some best friend time anyway.

A large grin appeared on her pale face. Louis had that effect on her. He was one of them people who forgot she was a wolf and just went with things. Not to mention the kid was as crazy as she was. The greeting matched hers and she was glad he didn’t get offended. Some people just did not like to be called by their last names, and many times Corie got called out on it. And usually when that happened, well things just did not work out. “Me!” she grinned at him and shook her head pretending he had better things to do than wait around for this blonde to show herself. “My timing could not have been better.” She laughed as she leaned her head against the rough trunk. She didn’t preoccupy herself with the thought of creepy crawlings that were probably on there, she just relaxed and turn her head to look at Louis.
The moment her blondes eyes landed on him, Corie knew something was stirring in his head. He seemed to be getting bouncy. But like always, he started off polite and decided to talk a bit before pushing her into it. “What am I up to?” she put a finger to her chin and tapped lightly while she squinted her eyes, dragging the answer out as long as she could. She finally sighed and shrugged her shoulders thinking of what she just did. “Well I finished my assignments, and cleaned my space in the dorm. “after making it a mess trying to find something to wear, but hat was a detailed that didn’t need to be said, anyone could probably figure it out. “And now, here I am thinking, what does Louis have planned today.” It was a good thing she was staying home for the holidays. She didn’t do it all the time and right now, she needed some friend time with the Weasley. Her head followed Louis from the tree to standing toward her. “Lo.” That was her nickname for him. “It’s me. Duh! I wanna hang out… or something.” She raised an eyebrow at the last part before laughing and pushing herself off of the tree and towards him.
Corie eyed the boy before a smirk formed on her face. Louis obviously needed to go out and do something. It was plain and simple and written all over his face. The blonde looked around, students were all around, not the normal quantity that usually decorated the grounds, but enough to prove some people didn’t like their families or rather spend some more time at school, mainly for friends and mischief. “So. What’s our plan?” she raised an eyebrow at him. She was more than positive that he had some sort of adventure bubbling in his head. But even if he didn’t, Corie knew they would find something to get into trouble with. The school practically were screaming at them to goof off and have some fun. Or at least that is what the Finch girl was hearing it say.

Her timing had actually been quite impeccable, since Louis was pretty sure that he would have left if he had been waiting around for much longer. Patience wasn't something that he had a whole lot of and there were plenty of other places that he could have hung around, waiting for someone interesting to pop up. Fortunately, it had been Corie, however. Out of the majority of his friends, she was probably one of his favorite to be around, simply because she had a lot of the same energy as he did. It made it easier to act a bit crazy and not worry about her being overwhelmed by it all. "Yeah, seriously. If you had waited a few seconds longer I probably would have been picked up by someone else and you would have lost out on all the awesome times we're about to have," Louis replied with a teasing grin and he stretched his arms out behind him. Though he was attempting to look like he had some form of swag, he didn't. Not at all.
Tilting his head curiously as Corie thought about what she had been doing for the day, Louis had to admit that he was pretty curious. He usually saw her around quite often, but for whatever reason he hadn't hung out with her all that much that afternoon. "Cleaning? Way fun, I bet," Louis said with a snort. His own room could probably do for some spring cleaning, but it wasn't all too important, so obviously he could deal with that some other day. Chuckling a bit at her other comment, Louis brushed a hand through his hair before flicking it to the side with a smirk. "Ah, yeah, join the crew. Pretty sure everyone is just wondering what I'm up to for the day and wishing they could join in," Louis said, puffing his chest out a bit from where he stood. He was just being a goof and messing around and a silly grin appeared on his face when the girl agreed to hanging out with him for the afternoon. He wasn't sure exactly what plans he had in mind, but he was pretty sure that whatever came to mind would be something they could have fun with. Though, to be honest, he had confidence that the two of them could make a good time out of just about anything.
Scratching at the back of his neck for a moment, Louis thought on it before coming up with something for the two of them to do. Eagerly jumping up, Louis was ready to go. "I've got it. Let's head over to Zonko's and pick up some random stuff, maybe decorate the potions corridor with fireworks or something," he suggested. Louis wasn't the biggest prankster in the school by any means, but he definitely had a bit of Weasley in him and found it entertaining at times. Besides, things had been far too quiet in the school lately and they needed some excitement. Holding his arm out in a rather gentlemanly fashion, Louis was ready to head over to Hogsmeade to gather their supplies for the mission at hand. "Shall we head out than, milady," he asked in a goofy accent. Just being a doofus like that put Louis in a better mood and he generally hoped that everyone else got at least some enjoyment from it as well, else his efforts would have been wasted.
