araceli esmerelda grimaldi, a princess who despises her title. she wants nothing more but to be free of it, but it haunts her. it always has which shined through her rebellious personality. relly was never one for frilly dresses and balls, she despised them and everything that came along with it. if she had a say in the manner, she’d never go. she’d stay in her room reading some comic or planning her next prank. but of course since she hated balls and everyone knew that she did, her lovely older sister, elena, always made her go which was why she currently was pining away over the fact that she was going forced to go to some silly party. it was ridiculous. but luckily for relly, it was only a few days away. she had freedom, for now. actually not really. she was currently was in some muggle mall searching for some lovely ball gown and araceli’s hatred for the idea showed, clearly, on her face.
sighing softly relly grumbled colorful words while she continued to walk about the mall. everything about this trip was depressing and irritating. she was alone, for one. she was searching for some lousy outfit for some lousy ball that she did not want to attend, at all. she was hungry but could not find a food court, or rather she was too lazy to go look at the map to search for one. but over all, she was miserable, lonely and wanted all of this to end. but the way things were going, it seemed very unlikely.

Although Valentin lived in Bulgaria, he had recently been living around England with the intention of figuring out the marriage situation with Nika. It had technically been solved, as supposedly the wedding was called off, but that wasn't what Val wanted to fix; he wanted to get Erinn out of the picture/ So, under the ruse of continued efforts to fix the matter, Valentin had been around England a lot more often. He didn't know anyone other than Nika there, though, so he frequently found himself with a lot of down time to spend however he wished. It was a tad boring most of the time, but he didn't mind it too much.
That afternoon, Val had decided to get some Christmas shopping out of the way. The first shopping place he could find after leaving from the apartment he had been living in was a muggle mall. Not his favorite, no, but it would suffice. Walking through the different aisles, Val found his attentions being captured every which way. Looking into one of the shop windows, Val felt a light bump in his shoulder as he accidentally ran into what he assumed was another person. Looking back over with an apologetic gaze, Val felt rather bad about the situation. "My apologies, Miss. Are you alright?" he asked, a look of genuine concern gracing his features. Val was quite the gentleman, that was for sure,

a slight scowl appeared on relly's face as she felt someone bump into her, but as soon as she turned around her scowl disappeared, slightly. the man was handsome, for one, but on top of that he seemed sincerely sorry. sighing softly relly ran her fingers through her red-brown hair before responding, i'm alright, its not a problem. don't call me miss though, makes me feel old. just call me araceli, or rally, most people call me relly. unlike some royalty, relly was normally nice and not quite so bitchy about her princess title. in fact that was the one thing she hated about her life, her title and job.

Val hadn't been expecting a pleased response from the girl he had accidentally bumped into, but he hadn't been expecting the scowl that was on her face when she turned to face him. Even if it softened a tad when she saw him, it was still a bit intimidating. Val didn't want to cause any trouble, certainly. "Relly it is, than. I'm Valentin, or Val, if you'd prefer," he responded, another charming grin gracing his features. He was hopeful that he might get her to warm up to him at least slightly before they parted ways, just in case he happened upon her again. "Again, I'm terribly sorry. I don't get to come to ah, malls, very often, so it's quite intriguing. I suppose my attentions were elsewhere," he added, faltering slightly at the term mall, since it wasn't one that he used often in the wizarding world or even in Bulgaria.

an eye-brow almost instantly shot up as she said in a wishful tone, don't get to come to malls? hm, well lucky you. i rather live in a world where malls don't exist. shopping, it was the most horrid word in the english language. but it was something she had to do for some lousy event where she had to get dolled up. it was something her sisters enjoyed, but relly was different. she despised frilly dresses, high heels, and make-up. she preferred nature and qudditch. she loved pranking and running around, not the lousy dancing and lady-like charm she had to learn. but rather than allowing her hatred to interfere with the conversation she instead asked, is there anything you're looking for in particular? i don't mind helping, if it means not shopping, i'm up for it. despite her attempt to rid all hate from her tone of voice, it appeared toward the end of her statement.

Based on her response, the girl wasn't very keen on the idea of shopping. From what little Val could deduce about her, she was more at home outdoors than trapped in the confines of the shopping mall. However, that gave him no indication of what she was doing there if she were so against it, especially if she was there on her own. "Well, I personally don't mind them much, but perhaps that is greatly to do with the novelty of it," he shrugged. Pausing momentarily to think on it, Val didn't have a clue what he was looking for. "Honestly, I haven't a clue what I need to find. I was Christmas shopping, but I don't expect I'll be able to find much of anything around here. Perhaps you might be able to help though. I was looking for a gift for my mother," he answered. Given the fact that his mother, quite literally, had everything under the sun that she could possibly desire, she was a difficult person to shop for. Though, maybe being in the muggle world for a change would be useful towards his goal of finding a suitable gift, since he might find something she had never even seen before.

snorting relly commented, malls mean shopping, shopping means getting gussied up for some stupid reason. she despised malls and shopping, but what she despised even more was getting gussied up. her hatred for all three was shown as she scowled at the mere topic. but instead of adding more towards her hate and frustration, relly asked, i take it your mother likes jewelry, perfume, fancy name brands? being a princess meant she knew all the crap that 'in' so help finding a present would be rather a simple and nicer task than shopping for some lousy dress, accessories, and shoes for some ridiculous ball.
