not many people knew about the relationship between lily luna potter and raphael lorcan longbottom and those that did know about it kept it a secret for sure. everybody knew about how lily's oldest brother, james was very overprotective of her and didn't allow her to date boys at all and raphael was older so he especially wouldn't like it that they had been together for the past year. they were always sneaking around, lily hated it and so did raphael but she didn't want to hear james' speeches about how he didn't allow her to date and if any boy ever set his hands on lily and what he would do to them so lily just told james that she didn't date.

lily waited outside of the gryffindor common room for her boyfriend. it was weird for lily to call him her boyfriend, she never did but recently she began to, she just randomly out of nowhere started calling him her boyfriend in her head. it was almost midnight and nobody was around so they wouldn't be seen. the prefects had already made their rounds so they wouldn't be caught, which is good. she anxiously looked around for raphael for the good five minutes before she found him walking up the stairs. lily started to run towards him when she was close enough she jumped into his arms. she hadn't seen him all day, sometimes she hated sneaking around like this. she gave him a quick kiss before saying anything. "i missed you," and she kissed him again. it was amazing how much she was head over heels for him. "how was your day?"

raphael hated having to sneak around, but for lily luna potter it was worth it. deception and lying, it was not his strong suit so when his friends asked him why he was leaving he told the truth. he was going to meet a girl, an amazing girl, and usually they left him alone. but the few who did ask more questions he awkwardly, some how, managed to give brief answers before running away. but if he had a choice, where he would not end up getting punched by james potter, he would of taken it.

however he knew there was no such thing, at least not at the moment, but when it appeared he would take it. he had to. no, he wanted to. he wanted to be able to hold her hand in public, he wanted everyone to know she was his. it was not that he was possessive, no it was that he wanted to go out on dates, he wanted to do things with her rather than waiting for the prefects to finish their rounds.

after sneaking and walking around with a frown firmly painted on his lips a bright smile appeared on his face. he saw the girl, the girl who made everything he hated worth it. a soft laugh escaped as the girl jumped into his arms. embracing the girl tightly he murmured as he buried his face into her hair, i've missed you too…so much. kissing the top of her head, he gently placed the girl onto the ground before responding, it was alright but just got better, your's?

grabbing lily's hand he gave it a small squeeze before asking, how is it i managed to get a girl like you? he always asked himself this. he was amazed and shocked that lily luna potter was his and he could care less about the two years difference. all he could think about was the fact that this amazing, bright girl was his.

lily was always nervous that james would catch her and raphael being very coupley together. james knew that they were best friends, almost inseparable but he didn't know anything about their romantic relationship. lily wanted to keep it that way for now but she also really wanted to be able to kiss and hold hands in public. if they did that then james would soon enough find out about them. he would be more than mad that she had gone behind his back plus he would be even more angry about the age difference between her and raphael. lily didn't want to think about what would happen if he found out. everything that she thought about just made it all worse. she just hoped that the day he does find out that he's cool with it all and doesn't have a hissy fit like he does when he's angry.

"i hate how i never see you anymore, it'll be even worse next year." a year from now raphael will of graduated from hogwarts and he'll be doing something productive with his life, unlike lily. she'll still be going to hogwarts and will have a year left a year from now. she didn't want to think about these things, all she wanted to think about are the great times that they'll have together tonight. "it's been better, and now it's brilliant." the moments she spent with raphael were the best ones.

"i suppose it could be because of your charming good looks." she just smiled at him and kept her eyes locked on his. sometimes she also thought about how they managed to end up together. they had been best friends and still are since they were really little. the moment she saw him playing with the cousins she knew that they would be friends. the mostly liked him because he nice to her and didn't tease her like how the cousins did. and he's not a ginger. she liked that about him too. "what are we going to be doing tonight?" all of the nights that they hung out they would do something different. once they went on a date, like an actual date but it was in an abandoned classroom. he had set up a table and two chairs with candles and flowers and nice food. it's the closest thing they would get to a date for awhile. she wanted to do something like that again soon.

[/b] the age difference was something he did not really care about, but it made hanging out with lily so much more difficult. it meant no classes together, it meant no group work together. all he could really do was help her with her papers and homework. but even then it was nice because he was able to be with her.

laughing softly raphael said, charming good looks? never really thought of myself that way, but hearing that from you…makes it believable. he was well aware of the fact that he was not exactly the smartest or the strongest or anything. actually, no, raphael knew he was the geekiest but that was not something the meant a girl was going to date you. however some how he got lily luna potter, a brilliant and beautiful girl.

it made him try hard on each get together but it made him want an actual date even more, but the fact that james potter would probably punch him made that want fade away quickly. however instead of letting himself think of the possible punch that would await him the moment james' found out about them he instead suggested, a walk to the black lake for some star-gazing? it was simple and nothing really all that romantic, but it meant time with lily.

Lily was a pretty affectionate person. She loved snogging raphael and basically just holding his hand. But it was completely impossible for them to even hold hands in public let along kissing each other. Lily hated hiding more than anything and was terrified of what James’ reaction will be once he finds out. She was scared. She knew how he got when he was angry, she didn’t want him to distrust her. She wanted him to be able to believe her and trust her no matter what. It was torture for her not to be able to tell her friends about raphael, some of them had their suspicions. They all knew that raphael was her best friend and that at one point she had a huge crush on him but aside from that they didn’t know anything. It was getting difficult for her to make up excuses as to why she would always come to bed so late at night. They knew she was sneaking around. It would only be moments before they started to connect the dots.

Lily forced a smile upon her face. ”No, don’t be. It’s not your fault. It’s not mine. It was just meant to be.” perhaps the age difference would just make them stronger? Lily always felt that everything happened for a meaning. She believed that the age difference would just make them stronger as a couple in the end. That’s at least what she felt about everything. Although she hated the age difference, she would just accept it and try not to be bothered by it.

Lily saw a side of raphael that nobody else ever saw. She saw someone completely different than what other people saw him as. She saw him as her prince charming, the most perfect person for her and the geekiest person around. But that’s just what she loves about him. She loves how much he’s a geek and plays video games like crazy. She loved everything about him; the good and the bad.

”It sounds perfect.” Lily squeezed his hand tightly and smiled at him. They did small things in private which made the bigger things they did mean more. Lily pulled on the strings of her pink hoodie to make the strings even with her free hand, it bugged her the way that they were completely uneven. ”Let’s go.” Lily smiled brightly at raphael and started to head down the stairs.

[/b] embracing her tightly for a few minutes he buried his face into her hair while saying, i wish time could stop… but it was impossible, time had to move forward and so did they otherwise another student, who was sneaking around, most likely would find them and that might lead to james finding out which was something he did not want or need.

a bright smile appeared as she agreed to his suggestion, giving her hand a tight squeeze he began searching for the exit. having snuck around a bit raphael was rather familiar with it all, something he was not really all that proud of. after a few minutes he found the door, quietly as possible he opened and held the door open for lily to walk out first, without releasing her hand which was a tad bit difficult but did not really bother him since he did not want to release her hand.

an excited look appeared as they began heading in the direction of the black lake. looking up to the bright stars the bright smile on his face shined even more as he looked away while suggesting, how about a dance? it was a rather random suggestion and there was no music, but he could not help it. the light breeze, shining full moon, and sparkling stars beckoned for some spontaneous romance.

Lily stopped frowning the second he told her that he would visit her. ”Really?” Her face completely lightened up and she compltely forgot about being sad that they wouldn’t be seeing much of each other for the next two years. She only thought about what was happening right now. ”Thank You, I couldn’t stand not seeing you.” Lily really hoped that their relationship would make it past his graduation. He would be around people and woman his age. Lily didn’t want him to forget about her and find someone new. ”I know, me too.” Lily rested her head on his shoulder, sighed heavily and hugged him tightly. ”I don’t want to ever leave your arms.” She hugged him slightly tighter and gave him a kiss on the cheek before breaking the embrace.

Lily smiled brightly back at Raphael. Whenever he was happy, so was she. It was the affect of being best friends for so long, basically being like siblings. Whenever he was sad, so was she and whever he was happy, so was she. Although whenever he would talk about girls, which wasn’t much, she would get jealous, even when she was little. Lily followed Raphael to the door and then outside. She smiled when he held the door open for her and mumbled a small ‘thank you’. She absolutely refused to let go of his hand, no matter what. She would do everything and anything to keep on holding his hand for the rest of the night. The second she got outside the shivered, it was cold and she hadn’t brought a thicker jumper. So she walked closer to Raphael, hoping that he would make her warmer.

Lily looked up at the sky as they walked in silence. It was so beautiful being outside at night, the breeze and the moon just completed everything. Lily looked at Raphael and just smiled when he asked her to dance. ”I would love to.” She chewed on the inside of her cheek as she felt the breeze past her. She probably should’ve grabbed a thicker jumper, she was regretting it now. Lily stopped chewing on the inside of her cheek for a moment so that she could look at Raphael. She couldn’t believe that Raphael was her boyfriend and a seventh year, two years older than her. It’s very similar with her parents, her mother’s younger than her father by a couple of years.

[/b] cheesy lines were something that often left raphael’s lip but he could not help himself. it was the side that lily luna potter brought out of him.

chuckling he grabbed lily’s hand with one of his hands and placed the other on her waist and began humming a random tune. these random yet romantic moments were the ones he knew he would remember no matter what happened in the future. at random moments he dipped lily and threw in various other waltz dance moves. raphael knew he was not best dancer but lily made him want to dance, even with the possibility of embarrassing himself.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/ul][/center]

lily had tears in her eyes, just the thought of knowing that in a year he would be gone... it was devastating to her. she was going to lose her best friend and her boyfriend at the same time. it was going to be one hell of an emotional roller coaster she was going to be going through. what if he found a girl who was better than her and his age? not some girl who was still attending hogwarts and would be for a couple more years to come. "what do you think you're gonna do after you graduate?" she questioned as they started dancing.

lily giggled like a little school girl. her face was getting hot from the excitement. lily bit her lip and just smiled. she loved the small romantic moments when raphael would surprise her. "i love you." she blurted out before thinking. she had gotten caught in the moment, she really did love him, she loved him more than anything. she just wasn't sure if he did so she never said anything. "i-i'm sorry. i should've said that. sorry... unless you love me back..." she blushed bright red and stared at her feet.
