What to do… What to do… what to do… Molly thought to herself as she paced around her dorm room, her dirty blonde-brunette hair up in a messy bun and a mint green sweater dress with a black belt around her waist, jeans covering her legs and the outfit topped with a pair of ballerina flats. She was bored out of her mind, having already finished her homework and gone to breakfast and studied. She was such a boring little girl sometimes.
Biting at her bottom lip, she decided since it was the weekend; she would go into the village by herself. Why not, right? She might as well go and splurge on herself, right? Grabbing her bag and a light jacket, she slipped it over her sweater and looked around her room for anything she may need. Seeing nothing, she grabbed her key and a pack of fresh mints to chew on and slammed her door shut, heading down the stairs and out of the house.
Seeing a few of her friends along the way, she nodded a hello towards all of them and left the area, checking the clock on her wrist and smiled. She had about six hours until she had to be home before curfew. Walking down the beaten path that many students have walked up and down every day, she just hummed to herself as she led herself down the path. In front of her, there were a bunch of kids her age walking towards the town and she looked down for a few moments, feeling herself being embarrassed.
Ten minutes later, she was at the entrance and she just looked around and spotted one of her favorite stores: a tiny boutique that held both genders of clothing. She let out a tiny squeak as she started to walk a little faster, dodging through people to get into the store when she felt herself almost collide with someone. Saying a quick sorry, Molly smiled to herself and entered, smiling as she saw something she really wanted and she quickly walked over. Looking around, however, she noticed a couple of people she knew and a few she just knew by sight.

Being a rather sociable guy, it wasn't often that Ephraim found himself alone, so when he realized that he had just spent the entirety of his day alone in the library, he was particularly surprised. Such an occurance just wasn't right, even if it had been entirely necessary. Ephraim, while an intelligent boy, often found that his studies fell to the wayside amidst the hustle and bustle of his life. Oftentimes, he ended up just leaving it all to the last minute and spending an entire day locked up in a room until he was done. He was close enough to being finished that he felt he deserved a quick break.
Eph wasn't sure where he wanted to go, but he figured that there was something of interest out in Hogsmeade that he could find to do. There was a wide variety of shops in the area that he could wander around in and he was sure there was something that he needed to buy. He had finished the important Christmas shopping that he needed to do, but he did need a new scarf for the holidays, since it grew to be rather cold. A task in mind, Ephraim felt like he could justify leaving his studies for a short time to take some time for himself.
It took Eph a moment to gather up his school things, which had become spread across the library tables during his studies. Once his things were safely secured into his bag, Ephraim left the library with a jovial expression. As much as he liked to learn, he had to have his free time in the middle of it or he would grow crazy. It wasn't a far walk from the library to the bottom of the castle and from there it was just another short walk until he arrived in Hogsmeade.
Popping into the first clothing store he came across, Eph began looking through the aisles in search of the scarves. Before he could find them, though, Ephraim caught sight of someone that he saw rather frequntly- Molly Weasley. They had been in the same house in Hogwarts for seven years now, which gave him ample time t make her acquaintance. "Hey, Molly, how's it going?" he asked, moving closer to the girl. It had been too long since he'd last had a real conversation, so he was glad he had run into the girl.

Humming a rather random tune, Molly turned her head before saying, Oh hey Ephraim. Doing alright I suppose, and you? Being a girl who was more into books than people limited Molly's social circle, but seeing Ephraim day to day in the same common room and same classes meant she was a least a decent friend with him. What else added to her lack of a social circle was when she did have a conversation they often ended up sarcastic and mean, but with people who had a brain that part of her rarely ever came out. That was because she was someone who could really handle idiocy and stupidity.
Tucking a stray strand hair behind her ear Molly curiously asked, Excited for the holidays? Picking out a few random pieces of clothing she began to think about the various things she might need on her return home. Some new scarves and gloves would be nice, but she knew she needed to find new things to get as well but at the moment none came to mind.

When Molly turned to him and responded with a quick hello, Eph gave her a bright smile of greeting. Though they didn't speak as often as he did with other people, he was still more than happy to have a conversation with her to pass the time. "I'm doing well, doing well. Been catching up on homework all day, so I popped out for a break," he explained with a shrug. He doubted that Molly was the type of student that would leave all her studies up to the last minute, so the chances that she too had spent the vast majority of her time working that day were slim, in his opinion.
Vaguely paying attention to what clothing options the girl was picking through, Eph leaned up against one of the racks for a more comfortable position. "Yeah, I guess I am. I'll probably just hang out with my mum and our dog, really," he replied. His family was just himself and his mother and that's how it had always been. He had no siblings, no father, just his mum. Sometimes it was hard, but Eph loved his mother and wouldn't have it any other way. "How about yourself? Are you doing anything in particular to celebrate?" he asked, looking at her with interest. He knew that, as a Weasley, Molly had plenty of family that she could spend the break with.
