It hadn't been long since Sam had made an rush to plan with his friend Aspen. They hadn't had much contact considering the chaotic amount of testing the upper class men had a few days back. Sam was lucky to have been an sixth year, no major test or anything to distract him, and the fact he wouldn't have been worried about it anyway because all he did was study. But not today, today he had plans with a good friend to go shopping for their formal wear for the gala.
Sam wasn't too hot for dances or anything like that, he usually avoided things like that, but for Aspen he'd make an exception. He couldn't help but have a soft spot for the elder Hufflepuff, she was his only friend he could trust and would probably anti-social if he didn't have her around. He might have even skipped out on next year if she hadn't supported his whole teacher dream he had recently. And now he was finally hanging out with a person rather than his fluff ball of a cat, and actually got out of the castle again. A few minutes or so ago Sam had made way to the shopping centers close by for Aspen, with money in his had from his parents, burning a hole in his pocket. To say the least, Sam was pretty excited.
[so tiny and crappy, but rushed after being distracted from icc]

With all the activity from exams and work the last few weeks, Aspen really hadn't taken any time for herself as of late. More or less, she had been working consistently from the time Frankie had gotten hurt to now and it was about time that she took at least a small break to hang out with a good friend of hers. Though she knew that she wasn't at all responsible for what had happened to Frankie, Aspen still had that drive to help in whatever way she could, which translated to putting in extra hours to volunteer at the Hospital Wing, on top of working more at Puddifoot's. When coupled with exams, it was no surprise that even Aspen was starting to tire out significantly. However, she wouldn't admit to it. She'd keep on going and keep on working until she just dropped. It was an issue that Aspen had for years, ever since the passing of her father.
Fortunately, she had made at least some plans to chill out a little bit and was on her way over to Hogsmeade to go shopping with Sam for their formal wear. She didn't know much about shopping for fancy clothes, but she was excited either way. The gala would be a good time and she was looking forward to spending time with her friends again. Quickly heading over to the entrance to Hogsmeade, a bright grin crossed her face when she spotted Sam not too far away. "Sammy!" she called out, waving at him before taking off at a quick sprint to tackle him with a hug. Aspen was always very affectionate, but even more so when it came to her friends. "I haven't seen you in forever! You look good," she commented, pulling back from him with a cheesy smile.
