Every saturday morning, if she didn't have practice, Elliot woke up at 5:30 am and headed down to the beach with her beagle dog, Izzy, to go for an early run or walk. Today they were going for a leisurely walk and since it wasn't all that warm out, Elliot was wrapped up in her coat, wooly scarf and white fluffy ear muffs. It may not have been beach weather but Elliot liked to come down anyway. Besides, a dull and dreary day that threatened rain meant she and Izzy usually had free reign over the entire stretch of beach, which was always nice. Not many liked to come to the beach on a cold day, especially not as early as six in the morning.
Kneeling down, Elliot affectionately rubbed Izzy behind the ears and grinned goofily as the small dog thumped her tail against the sand. "That good, Izz?" Elliot grinned when Izzy licked at her gloved hands in response. "Okay, go play." She unclipped the lead from Izzy's red collar and watched as the small canine ran straight for the sea and began to prance about along the moving shoreline, boucning around happy and carefree. The sight of Izzy having such a good time almost made Elliot want to run into the sea with her, but it was too cold and they'd only just got here. Getting soaking wet now would be no good, they'd have to head back home to dry off and Elliot planned on spending another good hour or two down here today.
