Erinn was like a little kid when it came to candy and ice cream. It made things easy when she needed to be cheered up. A trip to Honeydukes would wipe the frown right off the girl's face for sure. The fact that Erinn still acted like a little kid made Nika smile. She never really got the chance to act like nothing mattered. Her childhood was filled with "Death Squadron this" and "Death Squadron that". At breakfast every morning, her mother had to ask what the squadron was up to. It sure kept the girl informed, but sometimes she got a bit sick of it. Nika pulled her girlfriend in closer to her and felt her rest her head on her chest. "Promise," she said softly, kissing the girl on the top of her head. She didn't exactly know how things would go, not hearing Erinn's voice every day, not seeing her face that made the sun shine in Nika's eyes. Summer would be different. It would test the strength of their relationship in all sorts of ways. And hopefully they would still be holding strong through to next September when school started up again.

The soft kiss and promise that things would be okay was all that Erinn needed to let it go. If Nika promised that everything would work out, than Erinn trusted that they would. Even if things would be entirely different, Erinn was hopeful that their relationship would stay strong through the summer. "Good because you're not going to get away from me that easily," Erinn commented with a goofy smile as she lifted her head to look back up at Nika. "You're pretty much stuck with me." Erinn's nose crinkled up as she smiled, something that usually only happened when she was in a particularly good mood. Pulling back from Nika to turn her body in towards the girl, Erinn leaned forward to lightly press her lips against the other girl's. That was definitely something that Erinn had missed.

Nika chuckled, "Wasn't planning on leaving you anyway, so you have nothing to worry about." A smile played across the girl's lips. Erinn was way too cute right now and it made Nika's heart swell to twice the size. She could believe that after all of those years of being hardcore enemies that they could be this close without having something blow up or without putting a snake down the back of her shirt, but she was glad. "I don't mind being stuck with you," she said with a shrug before feeling the girl's soft lips against hers. She felt that bubbly feeling deep within her chest, the one she only felt when she was with Erinn. Nika kissed back gently and ran her finger tips up the girl's arm to her shoulder and back down.

Even though Erinn liked to think that Nika didn't plan on leaving her, it was always just nice to hear it confirmed. Unlike Nika, Erinn didn't have other people that were interested in her. Nika had Val and all her other people in Bulgaria and admittedly, Erinn got a bit jealous a lot of the time. Fortunately, Nika didn't seem to want to ditch her anytime soon. Letting the conversation fall from there, Erinn was more than happy to just kiss her girlfriend instead of talking. A light shiver coursed through her body as she felt Nika's hand trailing on her arm, a reaction that only Nika ever could seem to get out of her. Putting a bit more force into her kiss, Erinn let her hands rest at the other girl's waist as she leaned in further.

Her words hung in the air, lingering practically non existent space between them. Nika's relationship with Erinn had changed the girl for the better. She was happier now by far and it gave her something to fight for besides herself. It gave her something to cherish, to protect with everything she had in her. Letting her fingertips trail upward along the girl's arm, her fingers continued into Erinn's wavy brunette locks. She twirled the hair around her finger slowly, letting the kiss deepen on it's own. Nika couldn't hold back her smile. There was not one person on the planet that made her as happy as this girl did. Not even Val's company could make her feel this way.

Feeling Nika smile into their kiss was always something that Erinn loved. Sometimes she didn't believe that she could really make Nika happy, but little things like that reassured her that she wasn't the only one that was invested in the relationship. Pulling away from Nika, Erinn adjusted herself so she was in the girl's lap, straddling her at the waist. "We should just do this all summer. We could go stay at like Disney or something for a few months," Erinn suggested. The odds of that actually happening were slim to none, but it was a nice thought either way. She didn't want to go home to her family and she'd much rather just run away and live with Nika somewhere far away. If only. She had a feeling Nika wouldn't be too keen on the idea, though. With a soft sigh, Erinn leaned back in to press their lips together again. Sometimes it was easier to just not talk for awhile.
