Gray jogged down the castle's halls. He was making his way over to the Ravenclaw dorm to pick up Ade, just like he promised he would. It was a little before 8 pm and the party to celebrate Gryffindors victory over Slytherin today was already in full swing. He hadn't exactly told Adelaide that the 'get together' he was dragging her to, and the reason he had ditched on their session, was a full blown party. But hey, there were worse things to lie about right? Besides, he didn't think she'd mind. At least, he hoped she wouldn't mind.
Rounding a corner, he stumbled to a hault when he spotted a professor heading his way and quickly ducked back behind the wall he'd just come around. He waited quietly, peeking around the wall after a minute or so, to see the herbology professor waddling down the corridor, muttering quietly to herself. Once she was out of sight, he continued on his way. The last thing he needed or wanted was to be caught out by a professor for running around the school at night. He'd already had enough detentions this year to last a life time.
Trailing his jog into a walk as he approached the passageway to ravens' dorm, Gray glanced at his watch. "Just in time, perfect." he grinned, dropped his arm and waited patiently by the door for Adelaide to make her appearance.

The idea of going out somewhere was one that Adelaide wasn't at all comfortable with. Unfortunately, saying no to people wasn't exactly easy either, so she had somehow gotten herself into the situation where she had agreed to go with Grayson to some sort of get-together. He hadn't mentioned too much about it, just that it would be something to do with Quidditch- a subject that Addy knew absolutely nothing about. Honestly, she wasn't even sure why he'd invited her along. If it was something for the Quidditch team, she didn't understand why he wanted her to tag along, but she'd already agreed to accompany him. Addy hated letting people down, so she couldn't very well back out of it now.
Nervously running her hand along the pages of the book she was reading, Addy kept an eye on the clock so that she knew when to head down to the entrance of the commons room. Grayson had offered to come pick her up, which was quite the nice gesture, and Addy didn't want to be late. Bringing her finger up to her mouth, she wet it with her tongue before flipping the page of her book. It was a habit that she'd picked up ages ago when she was reading, though it did little in the way of making the pages easier to turn. Finishing out the remainder of the chapter, Addy's eyes flicked back up to check the clock. It was close enough to the right time to meet Grayson, so she quietly closed her book, marking the page with her bookmark before shoving it under her pillow.
Hopping off her bed, Addy slid her carmel-coloured leather jacket up onto her shoulders before leaving from the room. It was a lot later than she usually went out, so she got a few weird looks from her housemates as she moved through the commons and the attention brought a light blush to her cheeks. Pushing the door open, Addy quickly left the room to escape the attention. She spotted Grayson immediately as she left, giving him a shaky smile as she waved a quick greeting. "Uh, h-hey Gray," she said, walking over towards him. She didn't know exactly what she was getting into, but Gray had promised it wouldn't be so bad.

Rocking up onto the balls of his feet, his hands in his pockets, Gray whisteled a nameless tune, his eyes glancing up at the high ceiling and then down to the life-sized bronze raven that guarded the entrance to the ravenclaw students commons. The giant bird stared back and Gray could've sworn it was mocking him; because it knew he'd never in a million years be able to answer one of it's cryptic riddles to gain admittance into the ravenclaw commons. Stupid bird. He squinted his eyes at it, glaring, as if it were real and then it moved and he jumped back, stumbling over his feet.
"Addy!" he grinned, straightening up before she noticed he'd practically squealed like a girl over an inanimate object. Really, it wasn't his fault he had an over-active, crazy imagination. "Y'know for a second, i didn't think you'd show" shrugging his shoulders, he grinned again, "but i knew you wouldn't be able to resist." with a wink he stepped aside and swept his arm forward "this way m'lady"
The trip back to gryffindor tower seemed to take way longer than his earlier trip, probably because Gray was doing all of the talking. But Adelaide's quiet and shy nature didn't faze him. He chatted away anyway, making a dork of himself in attempt to diffuse the atmosphere and make her feel a little more comfortable. Sure Addy was a quiet girl but Gray liked her and not just because she was cute, and she definitely was cute, but because she was genuine. Not fake like a lot of girls he knew at school. Gray was the type of guy who could befriend anyone and he liked to think he could make a friend of Adelaide. As long as she didn't keep trying to tutor him.
"Aaand, we're here." Gray jogged ahead to the portrait of the Fat Lady, said the password and turned to Addy with his trademark grin. "you ready 'laide?" taking her hand before she had chance to think about his question and then back out, Gray lightly tugged her through the portrait door and lead her into the Gryffindor common room.

The music was loud and the crowd that moved around the common had grown considerably larger over the the last twenty minutes. It was clear that people from other houses were here, celebrating with the Gryffindors. Frankie had already spotted three hufflepuffs and two ravenclaws from her year. To be honest she hadn't expected such a huge turnout, after all, Gryffindor won a lot of trophies. Maybe people just wanted an excuse to have a party and Gryffindor had given them one.
Swinging her bottle in her fingers, the brunette contemplated leaving. She shouldn't have been here in the first place really, Roy was probably going to leash her for life if he found out that she'd managed to sneak out. Frankie doubted he'd notice, he was probably too busy attending to some female and if he wasn't, well, he probably wouldn't care either way, so it was all good. As long as she kept her fangs in check. Anyway how was she supposed to learn control if she didn't put herself in these type of situations? Okay, so maybe she shouldn't have been testing herself by being around her fellow class mates unsupervised, but really, what was the worst that could happen? Besides, she hadn't been around this many people in so long, it felt good. Nerve wrecking, but good.
Leaning back against the wall, she scanned the bobbing heads for Erinn so that she could congratulate her on Gryffindors win. It was hard to see over the swarm of bodies moving about the common room though, even with her enhanced sight. Taking a swig from her drink, Frankie decided she'd stay put until she spotted at least one of her sisters. She didn't quite trust herself to go roaming about just yet.
