Lily's mention of the hospital wing brought a smirk to Erinn's face. She was a frequent visitor to the Hospital Wing, what with Quidditch, prank wars and her general clumsiness. Yet, when she jumped out of a window off the top of the tower, she came out completely unscathed. Certainly, that was something to laugh about. "Yeah, so far so good. Now if we can just make it to the top of the mountain without plummeting to our doom, we'll be all good," Erinn replied with a nod. She doubted they'd slip up and get hurt. Or, well, she didn't think that she would anyway. If anyone was going to fall, it would probably be Lily, which would definitely suck. She'd rather herself get hurt than Lily, so she'd have to make sure that she was paying the utmost attention to ensure that her friend came out of this fully intact.
Erinn was most definitely proud of her young friend when she suggested that they try it. It was rare that Lily was the one to initiate any sort of troublemaking activity and on those odd occasions, Erinn hopped on the opportunity. "Well, if you say so, I'm totally in. It's not like they've ever made a rule against it or anything, so we can't really get in trouble for it," Erinn mused. Her reasoning when it came to trouble was that, if there wasn't a rule posted saying not to do it, than it was allowed in every way. Even if, to most people, it would just make sense not to do certain things, Erinn didn't see the world like that. Honestly, to keep her in line, you'd practically have to write out every little thing that was possible to think of that you wouldn't want to happen...and then find a way to actually enforce said rules with the young girl.
Though she heard what Lily said, she simply nodded a bit in response, not wanting to get too distracted in her climb. She was experienced, sure, but she wouldn't trust herself to the point where she would carry on a complete conversation while climbing, especially when she had Lily there. Pausing, Erinn looked back down for a moment with a smirk as Lily gave her a concerned question. "Nothing, nothing, not a thing to worry about," she replied with a chuckle before turning back to the task at hand. Each step that she took up the cliff, she made sure that the footholds were strong enough to support herself and then the added weight of Lily coming up just behind her. She was being a lot more careful than she usually would be, which spoke a lot to how much she genuinely cared about her friends.
It didn't take overly long for Erinn to reach the top and she hauled herself up onto the precipice, turning around to reach down and help Lily up. "Hey Lil, can I ask you something?"she asked, eying her friend with a strange mix of concern in her eyes. It wasn't often that Erinn breeched any serious conversations with anyone, even her best friends, so obviously it was something rather important if she was asking about it at such a time. There were things that Erinn needed to think about and sometimes, Lily was one of the easiest people to talk to about the more serious matters in her life. She was understanding and knew when to take what Erinn was saying as something that needed to be broached carefully and that was, perhaps, why Erinn was going to talk with her.

Lily smirked. "Oh Erinn, if we do fall and it doesn't kill us... you better sleep with one eye open." Lily threatened jokingly. She was obviously kidding. But if they did get hurt Lily might be a bit angry but she knew it wouldn't last too long. Lily was never that good at being angry with her friends unless it was something extreemely serious. But wasn't plummeting to a possible death serious? Most people would consider it was. But when things happened with Erinn, it really wasn't that serious. It was more like 'wow that was a close one, let's do it again sometime.' Lily smirked to herself thinking of that while following directly behind Erinn being careful of where she took steps.
Lily smirked. "Because the people who make the rules would never suspect this as a possible pasttime of students." Lily said with a small laugh. "I am starting to think the only reason you read the rules is to find loopholes in them." Lily told her and her guess did make a lot of sense. Only Erinn could find a way around the rules in the most perfect way to stay out of trouble. Which was why Lily usually broke the rules with Erinn because the risk of getting caught wasn't as high. She wondered if anyone else ever went rock-climbing while ditching. A majority of student's couldn't know about this place unless Erinn took little mountain tours with a group. Because it did seem like something her friend would do.
Lily followed Erinn in silence concentrating on not falling. She wasn't sure why she was so worried earlier. Rock-climbing wasn't that hard. It was very fun and it sort of relaxed Lily. It awakened her senses and was a getaway from life. Lily definately knew where she would now go whenever things got stressfull. She would have to thank Erinn for bringing her there later. Lily noticed Erinn get to the top. Lily climbed a bit and noticed Erinn turn around to help her up. When Lily climbed up a bit more she grabbed Erinn's hand for some support as she pulled herself up next to Erinn. Which was when Erinn asked if she could tell Lily something.
Erinn looked extreemely concerned. And that worried Lily. Erinn never really that concerned or serious, she was always so fun. Lily knew this had to be something huge. Something that Lily probably only knew. And Lily would have to be there for her friend whatever it was about. "Of course you can. You can talk to me about anything Erinn, you know that. What's your question?" Lily asked the concern clearly in her voice. Lily was glad Erinn was at least going to her with something. It made her feel needed and important in her best friend's life.

Even though Erinn was fairly confident in the fact that Lily wouldn't actually do anything to hurt her, the threat certainly made Erinn think twice about their epic climb up the top of the mountain. She didn't want to have any sort of accident that had the potential to hurt Lily or herself, but than again, it wasn't like that hadn't happened before. "Mhmm, you'll be fine. No worries, mate," Erinn promised, though she had no idea just how much she would be able to keep said promise. But, it was something that happened fairly frequently when around Erinn, as she was quite the accident prone young girl and generally, if she was flailing about and getting hurt there was a good chance that the people around her would get hurt. However, she was calm, collected and confident that she didn't have to worry about any potential danger.
A small smirk of amusement arose on her face at Lily's comment. To be honest, Erinn hadn't really ever read any of the rules and generally just assumed what would be there or not. "Yeeah, something like that. Betcha they'll have a whole new set of rules by the time I'm outta here," Erinn said with a chuckle. She wouldn't have put it past the administration to implement an entire new set of rules after she was gone, just in case another little crazy like herself came along. "Doubt if they'll be anyone as awesome at rule bending as me though," Erinn added, cockily, after a moment. She preferred to think of herself as simply bending the rules as opposed to breaking them, since that sounded a little less bad. Not that Erinn would have minded being a bid "bad" though.
A silent sigh of relief passed from Erinn's lips when they both safely reached the top of the mountain. It wasn't an entirely tall mountain, but it was a good ways up and for them to have made it up without any problems was a relief, for sure. The scene from the top of the mountain was, without a doubt, gorgeous. The forests down below had a shimmer from the sun and the sight was quite breathtaking. The place was peaceful and that was, for Erinn, the best part about being there. It was where she went whenever she needed to calm herself down and, today, that was something that she would need. What with everything that had been going on with her lately, it was nice to have a place where she felt at ease.
Well, as much at ease as it was possible to feel at the moment. Waiting for a moment before saying anything, Erinn wandered over towards the side of the mountain and sat down, tossing her legs off the side of the ledge. Dangerous, sure, but comfortable nonetheless. "Well err, there's kind of...someone," Erinn started, not quite sure how to go about confronting the situation, or even how much she was willing to tell Lily as of now. "Someone that... I don't know... I kind of have a thing with? Kind of," Erinn finished, crumpling her nose up a bit as she spoke. It wasn't something she wanted to talk about, exactly, but it was something that she knew she had to confront at some point and she'd rather it be sooner than later.
