Persephone looked up at the sun and then gave a cocky little smile as she continued to walk toward the caretaker's hut, she had spent most of the morning at the black lake as she usually did. It was a comforting place for her and she loved to see the black waters of the lake and the occasional ripple of the creature's that lived within its depths. Some of them where curious as to who she was because they hadn't seen her before but it would seem that they had now grown used to her being there. On more than one occasion Seph had started up a conversation with one of the merfolk that lived within the black lake. The merfolk where such interesting creature's, and she enjoyed to listen to their story's of life in the water and she sometimes wondered what it would be like to join them. But all too soon those thoughts faded as she felt a sharp pain in her ribs. She gasped in shock and then looked down at her ribs and then gave a sigh. It would seem that her newest injury from her father had re-opened and was now bleeding through her pure white shirt causing a crimson red blotch to begin and she could feel the blood running down her ribs.
You couldn't tell by looking at the beautiful Care of Magical Creature's professor's face, but her body was covered in marks such as the one on her rib cage. Her father didn't want her to be a teacher her at Hogwarts, he would have rathered that she had become a Death Eater, little did he know but she already was one. She just refused to tell him that little fact. It was the last sign of stubbornness that she was aloud to show considering her father was a Death Eater himself, and a very good one. But her orders didn't come from her father and she was here for a reason. What that reason was, she didn't even know, but her higher ups wanted her here for a reason and she would follow orders even if it eared her beatings from her father. Her father would just have to learn to deal with the fact that his only child was a professor at Hogwarts. She had learned to live with that fact even though she would have much rather spent her time partying it up in Los Vegas with the guys, getting drunk, and dancing, away from all the pain and misery that her blasted family brought to her. It took a lot to break Persephone and she had yet to break, but she was close to that breaking point.
When Seph heard someone behind her she quickly placed her hand over her ribs in an attempt to hid the blood, but that effort was useless and she should have known that she hand would be too small to cover the large blood stain that was starting. She turned her green eyes ahead of her and started to walk again trying to attempt to look like she hadn't heard the person coming. But she did pick up her pace a bit in an attempt to lose the person behind her and to get to her hut where she could spell lock the door. But the added stress of being followed only caused Seph's heart to race and pump more blood which caused her to bleed even more. The young Professor felt her herself growing weak and lightheaded and all too soon her body couldn't support her and she fell to her knee's gasping for breath. This was not how she had been planning her day, and she wished that she had thought to wrap her wound before leaving. Well, too late now she figured.
