You keep yourself so tightly wound It's about time you break.I've kept my secrets you will never know Kaiya Zeller draped her dark blue velvet cloak around her shoulders and pulled the hood up over her head. Her wavy blonde hair was tied back and her usual blue eyes were slowly turning a reddish color and bloodshot from all of the alcohol she had been consuming lately. Lately, the girl had been having trouble curbing her cravings and alcohol was the solution to that issue, but she felt as if she was slowly deteriorating. The blonde swiftly and silently left the Ravenclaw common room, making sure that she didn't wake any of the students up. If anyone saw her or got in her way, she would probably drain them and then go on a crazy rampage throughout the castle. It had been over a month since the taste of blood rolled across her tongue, and it was killing her slowly.
The girl practically floated down the corridors, walking at a non-human speed to avoid being confronted. The door creaked slightly as Kaiya exited the castle. She was greeted by the familiar darkness that she had grown to love so much. The girl inhaled the chilled night air deeply, letting the scents of all the creatures around her sink into her body. Kai instinctively walked toward the Forbidden Forest, aware of the rule that prohibited students from being anywhere beyond the Gamekeeper's cabin. The consequences seemed to have slipped the young Ravenclaw's mind as she kept walking past the cabin with an eerie blank stare plastered to her face. The minute she stepped over the border of the forest, she became one of the creatures that lurked. The predator, not the prey.
Kaiya trudged deeper into the forest, walking fast down the unbeaten path. Her now blood red irises stared directly in front of her as if she was in some kind of trance. The only sound that the girl's vampiric hearing could detect was the crunching of leaves and twigs under her feet. Kai finally paused in the heart of the forest in a small clearing. She pulled the velvet hood down, covering her eyes. The girl didn't need to see to hunt, she went with her instincts and it made herself feel less guilty if she didn't know what kind of helpless creature she had killed for her own benefit. Her senses were sharp and her fighting techniques were practically up to par.
A twig snapped around twenty yards behind the girl. Her fangs elongated in a matter of milliseconds, puncturing her lower lip before she could open her mouth to avoid the puncture. The slightest bit of crimson liquid trickled from her lip onto her tongue. The taste practically drove Kaiya insane. Her pupils narrowed and her senses focused on detecting anything that happened behind her. Resisting the urge to just rip the creature apart, she stood as still as a stone gargoyle waiting for an indication. tagged: ari muse: incredibly high outfit: herenotes:: iLike.this.post.

The last thing that Ari needed to be doing was sitting in front of a clock, counting down the minutes until she had to leave from her room at the house she shared with her teammates and make her way back to the Hogwarts grounds for the remainder of the night. All that week she had been restlessly anticipating the coming full moon with more than an ounce of dread. Once again, she had taken the irresponsible route and blown off taking her Wolfsbane potion the entire week leading up to today and now, she would have to face the consequences of that decision. Up to the day of the full moon, it was as if Ari simply forgot that she was a werewolf. Sure, there were the little things that she noticed were different about herself, but it wasn't like she was some sort of monster in that time and therefore she didn't always take her potion seriously.
However, now it was anything but a joke. She knew that within a few hours, she would be a full-fledged beast. She would completely lose herself to the monster festering inside of her and more than likely, something would die. Be it a small animal, or something much larger, Ari wouldn't be able to hold herself back. Either she would kill, or once again rip herself apart out of frustration. Ari was not a selfless person. In fact, she could be downright self-centered a lot of the time and this was no exception. Except, in this instance, it scared her. The fact that she was willing to let herself run rampant, a killing machine at it's worst, simply to avoid a few more scars of her own was terrifying. She wasn't that kind of person, yet here she was taking that path. Sometimes, she feared that the beast side of herself was taking over her own, sane mind, even when it wasn't the full moon and she had no idea how to stop it.
Breathing out a sigh as the clock struck four, Ari bit her lip before quickly apparating away from the house. No one knew where she was going, or even that she was gone. She just left. To most, it wouldn't seem weird that she was gone for a night and Ari at least had the peace of mind that no one would question it. She was flighty enough that her being gone for a night simply would lead people to believe that she was off hooking up with someone, or perhaps just staying at her room at the school for the night. No one would assume that she was off killing innocent creatures. In some ways, it was comforting, but at the same time, Ari always felt unsettled by it. If something were to happen and if she were to get hurt, that would be it. No one would know where to look for her, she would just disappear and then die.
As always, Ari had apparated to the Shrieking Shack. It was the easiest way to get into the grounds without anyone questioning her. She could stay there until just before dark and then unleash herself on the forest before she transformed. A grim thought, to be sure, but Ari felt it was her only option at that point. At the very least, she had the small consolation that she wouldn't remember a damn thing once the werewolf side of her took control of her body. Though, just how much comfort that would really provide wasn't entirely clear. After all, that left her human side to think and to dwell on what might have happened. If, perhaps, there had been an innocent, yet clearly stupid, student wandering the forest during the night. Settling down on the chair inside of the shack, Ari waited. It wouldn't be much longer by now and she would go.
Soon feeling the stirring of the night beginning to fall, Ari got back up and with one last longing look at the comfort of the small room, exited into the tunnel that would bring her out into the forest. She was just at the edge of the forest when she got out and so quickly darted inside to get deeper before the moon's light took over and hit her body. She managed to get a good distance in before it happened. One minute, she was walking along, completely herself and the next, she was on the ground, writhing with the pain of her transformation. That, she would remember. She was still partially herself at that point and the immense pain was the last thing she would know of that night. The transformation took a few short seconds, but it would seem like an eternity when she set about to recall it in the morning.
Ari was now gone, replaced with a monster. A monster that intended to kill the first thing that it could get it's jaws around, no matter what it was. Now, it was all pure instinct. An instinct that wasn't Ari at all, but a new being, and that being had purely murderous intentions. Now reduced to a monster that was akin to a legimate wolf, Ari shook her body to adjust to the new form that she was in before quickly trotting off into the depths of the forest. The werewolf was now on the hunt, using it's hypersensitive senses to find something, anything that it could kill. It was hungry, not for food, but for blood. It's ears perked up, hearing something in the distance. It wasn't an animal, exactly, but it was something else. Turning it's head in that direction, the werewolf breathed it, sensing something strange. It was humanoid in nature, but it was different. However, it was human enough in nature to attract the beast and it quickly took off in that direction, ready to fight and kill whatever it found.
As the werewolf form of Ari approached, it could sense that she was coming up behind something. Based on sight, it was a human, but the smell was different and the wolf was confused. However, it wasn't confused enough to let the creature go. It would still kill the creature at hand. Whatever it was, it was enough like a human that it drove the werewolf Ari into a craze. Humans were the one prey that the werewolves actively sought out more than any other and there was no way that this thing was about to get away without a fight. Setting it's jaws apart and settling down into the ground, the werewolf charged forward, tightening it's leg muscles just moments before it leaped forward, jaws open, to pounce on it's prey.

You keep yourself so tightly wound It's about time you break.I've kept my secrets you will never know Kaiya stood silent and motionless. Her breathing slowed and her blood red eyes stared out into the abysmal darkness. The heavily falling footsteps came toward her faster, hearing the creature transition from a trot to a sprint. Then the sound vanished. Kai waited patiently for the right moment. If she moved too early, her meal would have a chance to escape. If she moved too late, the beast would probably take advantage and attack her. The young vampire sensed the hunger and blood lust in the air between herself and the creature. It was definitely no oversized spider or centaur.
Kaiya felt the creature's breath on the back of her neck and within a split second she stepped to the side, just outside the reach of the animal. As the gush of air rushed past her, causing her cloak to swish around, the stench of the animal followed. Kai crinkled her nose as she inhaled the scent of an oversized canine. No, a werewolf. A malicious and deadly smirk played across the girl's lips as the tips of her pearly white fangs protruded slightly from her mouth. She pulled her velvet hood up enough for her to take a look at the wolf that stood before her. Kaiya watched it. She could practically feel the blood coursing through it's veins. She wanted it, and nothing was going to stop her.
Kai waited for the demon to stand and face her. If she were in her right mind, she would have sprinted off not wanting to kill an innocent creature. But this girl was far from being in the right mindset. She was desperate for blood, she needed it. Kaiya didn't think twice about the counterattack. She lunged forward on instinct, her arm outstretched and delicate, but strong, hands aimed for the wolf's throat to pin it down. tagged: ari muse: incredibly high outfit: herenotes:: catch me in the cbox if you're confused about my made up phrases. <3

As the werewolf Ari leaped towards its prey, there was no question that it was going to pummel into it and instantly feel the warm, wet blood flowing into it's mouth as it clamped it's jaws around the human. In fact, it was coming to need that feeling more than anything, the bloodlust becoming almost too much to ignore. The craze had taken over and nothing was about to stop her from sinking her teeth into whatever it was in front of her. However, when she came to the point where she was supposed to impact with it, she simply kept going. Hitting the ground with a forceful thud, the anger started to rise up inside of Ari and a low, menacing growl started to come out of her throat. Whatever the hell that creature was, it wasn't going to get away.
Shaking off the impact, Ari swiveled her head to face the creature that she had attacked. The werewolf side of her, completely in control of her mind, saw nothing but a meal, something to kill and be done with. The fact that it was another creature, a student even, didn't even matter to the feral side of her. All that she wanted was blood. Unfortunately for Kaiya, the werewolf side of Ari was much more attentive and capable of fighting than Ari herself was. In her werewolf form, Ari was on top of everything coming her way. Every little movement was registered by her senses and nothing went unnoticed. So, when the vampire moved to retaliate at speeds faster than any normal creature could pick up on, Ari instinctively knew to move.
Though she did move, there was no way that her speed could have matched that of the vampire opposing her and she felt the outstretched hand impact with the widened, furry shoulder and clamp on. Instantly feeling this, Ari bucked backwards in an attempt to shake the creature off, tumbling onto her back and kicking out with her back legs to try forcing it from her body. The last thing that the werewolf Ari wanted was to get caught losing a fight with a small little creature such as this one. She was bigger, more fearsome and she should win. However, her zealous energy led to her defenses being dropped and though she had went backward in an effort to throw the creature off and onto the defensive, all she had done was expose her soft, vulnerable underbelly. Even as a werewolf, Ari was pretty stupid.

You keep yourself so tightly wound It's about time you break.I've kept my secrets you will never know Kaiya watched the wolf hit the ground with a slight smirk. It amused her to hear it gnarl bitterly. The wolf stood to face the girl, it's piercing stare seemed to see right through her. On instinct, Kai charged t the beast, her eyes made her look rabid yearning for blood. She sensed the wolf's attempt to dodge her and merely smiled demonically. "There is no escape," she said, her voice practically floated though the air and sounded nothing like her normal self. This voice was cruel, bone chilling and icy.
Kaiya pivoted off a tree stump and lunged at the beast. Her small, pale hands clapsed down on it's shoulder, her fingers dug into it's fur sharply. The wolf swung itself around in attempt to shake the vampire loose. Kai merely tightened her grip, driving her well manicured nails deeper into the animal's coat. The girl knew what she had to do to overtake this creature. Size didn't matter much, strategy was key. Kaiya's foot brushed along the dirt. That was the signal, time to finish. She dug her heels into the dirt and dragged the wolf onto it's side attempting to pin it down. She could practically taste it's blood rolling over her tongue without even biting it. The smell intoxicated her. She wanted to feast. Now. The girl's vampiric strength kicked in as she struggled to grab the animal's snout so that she could get a good bite out of it's neck. tagged: ari muse: drenched in awesome sauce outfit: herenotes:: whooot!

Though the vampire girl was talking, the werewolf didn't pick up on any of it. It heard the soundwaves coming from the vampire, but it wasn't able to process what it was saying. It did, however, hear the tone that was coming from it. A chilly, inhuman sound that made the fur on the werewolves back stand up slightly, raising it's hackles in defense. Whatever this thing was, it wasn't there to mess around, it meant serious business. The werewolf hadn't been expecting to put up any sort of fight that night, assuming that it would just be able to walk in and take down whatever creature it was that it ran into. By now, it's level of irritation was high and all that it wanted to feel was the snap of a bone in his jaws and the smooth feel of the blood rushing down it's throat as it tore the flesh of the creature opposing it apart.
However, it wasn't going to be that easy. The meal that it had been counting on to just come and be done with wasn't giving in, it was fighting back and Ari was not happy. Feeling the nails of the creature bore into the skin at her shoulder, Ari cried out in pain, the sound coming out as a low howl of frustration, but quickly moving to an undeniable pained whimper as the nails took a deeper hold of her shoulder. As she thrashed about, she could feel herself being pushed down to her side, a position that made it nearly impossible for her to do anything but move her head about frantically in the hopes of catching onto the creature with her monstrous jaws. Another fearsome growl emerged from her throat, a threat to the creature not to keep messing with her. Even if she was in the losing position, she wasn't about to give in and she continued to struggle to get out of the creatures grip.
Feeling a hand taking hold of her snout, the werewolf burst forward with another thrashing attempt to break free from the creature, but it was a fruitless attempt. Whatever it was had the wolf effectively pinned to the ground and was starting to reach for her snout. The wolf knew that if it's snout was closed, that it would have no way to fight back, but even with it's struggles, it was unable to get away. The creature was going to do something to her and there wasn't a damn thing that she could do about it. An angry snarl came forth from the wolf, unable to do anything but stretch it's head back to try keeping it from the grasp of the creature's hands. However, the further it stretched to get away, the more vulnerable the pulsing artery in her neck became. Another bad move on her part, but one which she couldn't have predicted the consequences of.

You keep yourself so tightly wound It's about time you break.I've kept my secrets you will never know Once the werewolf was on it's side, Kaiya rolled over it, pinning it down with her legs. Her hands darted around, trying to get a grip on the beast's snout. Werewolf saliva was as lethal as a stake through the heart and felt like getting your insides burned out by garlic juice. Though one drop wouldn't exactly kill her, it would make her extremely sick and would be the equivalent of being stabbed in the eye with a lit cigarette. Explaining that to the nurses in the hospital wing would be quite a task.
The girl's hand finally clamped down on the muzzle of the wolf, holding it's mouth closed. Her other hand pressed down on the creature's rib cage to make sure it didn't flail all over the place. Kaiya felt the animal's blood pumping though it's body and ran her tongue across her lips. The girl looked down into the wolf's dark, abysmal eyes and quickly looked away. She really didn't want to kill an animal, but in this situation she couldn't just let a perfectly fine meal just run away.
On that thought, Kaiya bent over and sunk her teeth into the wolf's neck. Crimson liquid flooded into her mouth as she swallowed greedily, taking in as much as she could. Gulp after gulp she let the liquid slide down her throat and roll around her tongue. The girl's eyes slowly dilated and the bright red color in her irises began to fade back into a crystal blue. Kai brushed her velvet hood off of her head, revealing her wavy blonde hair. The girl drank until she was full and satisfied, gradually loosening her grip on the animal. Her fingers flexed and gently clawed at the animal's fur in pleasure. tagged: ari muse: drenched in awesome sauce outfit: herenotes:: meep meep!

Feeling the creatures hand close her snout, holding it tightly so that her fangs were rendered useless, Ari's werewolf form proceeded to thrash every which way possible in an attempt to break free. However, it was quelled from it's thrashing when the other hand of the creature on top of her held the werewolf's chest down into the ground. Incapable of doing anything, a flash of anger came from the werewolf's eyes, staring straight up into the eyes of the creature that had pinned it to the ground. However, as there was no sense of humanity left in the wolf, no emotions showed through in it's gaze, aside from the utter revulsion at the fact that it may have lost a battle with such a small creature. Flaring it's lips, a drizzle of drool fell from it's closed mouth, leaking down onto the hand of the creature before it bent in to finish the job.
Having never fought with a vampire before, the werewolf was taken aback when it felt the fangs sink into it's neck. The blood draining quickly from the wolf, it's power started to wane and it's body started to go limp. The energy that it took to keep Ari in werewolf form was quickly fading as well and despite the fact that the mood was high up in the air, it wasn't enough to combat the effects of the vampire's saliva mixing with the blood in her neck. By the time the vampire had finished with it's drinking, Ari's body started to revert to it's natural human form. The werewolf, drained of any energy, had just enough time to let loose one last howl of pain before it was melded back into the humanoid voice that belonged to Ari.
It took a moment after the transformation for Ari to regain her senses, as it usually did. However, this time it seemed different. Typically after waking from her transformation, it was light out and she was peacefully napping on the floor of the Shrieking Shack. Her eyes wildly flashed about, seeing that she wasn't anywhere near where she was meant to be. It was dark, she was in the middle of the forest, her neck and chest were seeping with blood and there was something sitting in front of her, looking rather like it had just feasted on some sort of animal. Backing up from where she sat, Ari slowly brought herself up to her feet, looking down at the scene in front of her with confusion. Then the worry flashed across her face. Her first thought was that somehow, this was a student and she had attacked it. But, it looked...fine, aside from the blood.
Breathing out deeply, Ari stumbled back further, her back hitting a tree before letting herself slide down into a resting position. Taking a moment to gather her thoughts, still muddled and rather caught up in her werewolf mentality, Ari started to piece things together. She hadn't been the one to attack, she'd been the one attacked. A moment of absolute panic rose up in the pit of her stomach, not sure what would happen. Bringing a cautious hand up to her neck, she could feel the bitemarks from the vampires fangs there. Granted, Ari probably should have researched her condition a lot more, else she might not have been completely and utterly freaked out at the moment. In her mind, it was entirely plausible that she would now be turned into some sort of vampire/werewolf freak of nature and she couldn't handle that. "You know, you could have just finished me off," she grumbled, rather bitterly. Her speech was still more akin to a series of growls than a human speech, but it was generally understandable if you were actually listening.

You keep yourself so tightly wound It's about time you break.I've kept my secrets you will never know Kaiya’s fingers wrapped around the snout of the werewolf, gripping it tightly. Her other hand pressed into the animal’s side in an attempt to keep it from flailing. Bitter rage radiated from it’s eyes as she looked down at it, though it knew there was no escape now. Kai sunk her teeth into its neck devouring as much of the crimson liquid as she could hold. An intoxicating feel of pleasure pulsed through her veins as she fed, flexing her fingers and loosening her grip on the animal’s side. She began almost massaging the beast. It had been weeks since she had fed on a living creature. The animal’s saliva dripped onto her hand sending a burning shock up the girls arm. It felt as if a lit cigarette had been pressed into her hand, twisted into her skin. Kaiya cringed and yelped, a bit of the blood spilled out of her mouth and dribbled down her chin, but she couldn’t stop feeding. The open wound on the werewolf’s neck drew her back in, her lust for blood was too strong to ignore.
Gulp after gulp, the young vampire finally satisfied itself, taking a step back from the creature. She wiped the blood that seeped out of the corner of her mouth onto the back of her hand. Kai’s senses began to return to normal causing her red eyes to fade back to a pure blue. The girl watched as the creature stumbled around. The girl turned on her heel to walk off, but the thing spoke. Kai replied without thinking, “You were much too big for me,” she paused for a second, ”And did you really want me to kill you? Because I can take care of that right now, if you want.” Truthfully, a werewolf was the biggest thing she had ever taken on and she still had room in her stomach for a bit more. Kaiya turned around and a sudden realization hit Kaiya like a freight train. She saw no more fur on the beast, or even claws, no snout or beady black eyes. It was human.
The girl stepped forward cautiously, the details of the human came into view. It looked vaguely familiar. Kai’s bright blue eyes widened in shock as she realized who it was. ”O-oh my! P-prof-fessor Davies, a-are you alright?” the girl stuttered nervously. Her brain seemed to be rushing at a million miles a minute, thoughts flickering in and out spastically. She kneeled next to the professor, her eyes making contact with the bleeding wound on her neck. She licked her lips, the taste of blood still lingered on her tongue.

From where she was sitting, Ari simply looked over at the vampire in question, an unreadable look on her face. To be honest, she wasn't sure what she wanted from this right now or why she was even bothering to address the thing that had attacked her. Or,well, she had probably attacked it to be honest. Whatever the case, she didn't know. At the moment, all that she could gather from the situation was that she had gotten her ass served to her and was now suffering the consequences, whatever those may turn out to be. Ari didn't know if the whole vampire thing could effect werewolves at all. Hell, she didn't know a damn thing about vampires if she was being perfectly honest. She hardly even knew anything about werewolves and she was one.
Even though she technically had been the one to suggest that the thing kill her, she was quite affronted by the creature's suggestion that she actually take her up on that offer. Bitch. "Bullshit, you wont," Ari scoffed, her eyes flaring up in a surge of anger. Feeling the anger rise up in her, Ari also felt the werewolf side of her start to flare up again. At the moment, that was the last thing that she wanted and she tightened her eyes shut to block it all out for a moment, letting the feeling pass. She didn't want to go back to that right now. She couldn't handle letting the untamed, wild side of her just take back over. There was no telling what it would do and she sure as hell didn't want to do something stupid. Of course, that was likely what would happen anyways, but at at least this way she would know it.
As the vampire came towards her, Ari's eyebrow raised a bit. She kind of felt like she recognized the girl from somewhere, but not enough to say that she knew who it was. But, apparently, it knew who she was...and it was a student. Shit. That definitely wasn't going to help matters at all. The fact that someone in the school now knew about what she was, well...that wasn't safe. Her first thought was that she probably should just get her wand out and take care of the kid now while no one was around. However, she couldn't have brought herself to do that. "Yeah, I'm fuckin' great if you couldn't tell. Bleedin' out my neck and I don't remember shit about tonight. Pretty fuckin' fantastic," she commented, rolling her eyes sarcastically.
Perhaps, even if the situation sort of sucked ass, Ari could turn it around at least somewhat and rectify some of the problems going on. Getting up from the ground, Ari stretched out a bit and leaned up against the tree. Her face reflected the utter animosity she felt at the moment, towards the kid, towards herself, the whole situation really. "Know what, how about we just...forget this happened. You forget that I'm...a werewolf and not tell a damn soul and I let you go without fucking your shit up for doing this to me," Ari said simply. She definitely wasn't in the mood to beat around the bush with anything and even if it was a student, she was going to be straight up and blunt about everything.
