Running a club, while it had the ability to be a difficult task at times, was perhaps one of the most rewarding jobs that Nate could have asked for. It let him live in the environment that he loved and hell, it was a lot of damn fun. Everyone there was always either drunk, or in a good mood, which made it an amazing opportunity to just chill. Even when actually doing his work, it was impossible not to have a good time while there at the club. At present, Nate was sitting in his office, finishing off the last bit of paperwork and bills for the month. As he had anticipated, business was reaching an all time high. With the Hogwarts students back in the town and ready to get up to all kinds of mischief, there had been a serious increase in business over the last few weeks, which Nate was ecstatic about.
It was always fun, having the Hogwarts kids around, as it made him feel young and powerful again. He wasn't old, by any means, but having a legitimate job and a business to run made it much more difficult for him to just cut loose and get drunk for awhile. For that, he envied the kids. Though, he was still infinitely cooler than they could ever wish to be, so he couldn't say that it bothered him all that much. Finishing with the last bit of work that he had to take care of for the day, Nate leaned back in his chair with a pleased smirk on his face. Despite the fact that the odds had been rather stacked against him at the start of his business venture and a number of people had been absolutely positive he wouldn't make it, there he was. It had been three years now and the club was just growing and growing every year.
Deciding that this was reason to celebrate, Nate left from his office to make a few rounds about the club. He was the type of owner that liked to stay involved with everything that went on in his club and tended to know most of the people that frequented the place. He was the sort that liked to schmooze, especially when it came to making connections with the people there at his place of work. Even if it was in his nature to be a complete dick to everyone he came about, he had learned early on that it was easier to get what you wanted when people liked and trusted you. So, he acted. He acted like he cared about people, acted like he was a friendly sort, and acted as if he was nothing more than the happy club owner that wanted everyone to have a good time.
Walking around for a few minutes and shaking the hands of those that he felt necessary, Nate made the rounds about the various parts of the club. Checking one last time on the VIP lounge, Nate gave a nod of approval and popped back out. Leaving from the club, Nate dug in the pocket of his shirt to take out a cigarette, lighting it up with his wand and taking a drag as he leaned up against the wall off towards the side. Nate knew that it was a terrible habit, but one which he couldn't seem to break. Though, it wasn't as if he actually cared enough to try to quit. It was the one last way that he had to relax himself while on the job, so he certainly wasn't about to give it up. Looking over at the crowds of students that were filing into the club for the night, a sly grin of success appeared on his face. Even with all the work, his job was great and going well.

Flora entered the club,Dressed to the nines. The one damn night she could have stayed home and she decided to call in a babysitter and go out clubing. First stop, Club chronos and talk to nate, or dance a little on the floor. Nate, however, was not in his club. He was probably outside smoking. No matter now, she was sitting inside Club chronos... the very same place when nate told her he wanted to open she had laughed in his face. Wow, was she wrong.... She walked up to the bar and sat at one of the stools. " just waiting for Mr. Chase. to come inside" she said.

Finishing off his smoking with one last drag, Nate snuffed it out against the wall and tossed it to the ground. Rubbing it into the ground with the sole of his shoe, Nate sighed a bit. It had been a short break, just a few minutes, and now he had to get back to work. Sometimes, he regretted the fact that he had such a tedious job, but at the same time it was difficult to hate it that much. The atmosphere was everything that he could have asked for with a job and he thrived off of it. Walking back around the side of the club, Nate had a bit of a spring in his step as he was walking. It was hard for him not to get caught up in the place sometimes, with the music and the alcohol, as well as the people themselves. Sure, some people came into the club with a rather depressed feel to them, but Nate would be damned if anyone left like that.
Brushing his hair back as he walked into the club, Nate bounded up the private stairs toward the side of club to get up to his own private floor. The club was comprised of two floors. The main floor at the bottom was where all the action went down. It held the dance floor, the bar and anything else that his customers could have wanted. However, there was also the upper floor. That was the floor that only a few select people ever got to be. First and foremost, it had his own private office where all the decisions were made and all the important meetings went down. Then, on top of that, it also had the VIP lounge. That was, perhaps, the most special place of the joint and reserved only for the events that Nate himself approved for the joint. The room was his pride and joy and nothing short of awesome went down in there.
Popping into the room, he saw that the reservations for the night were in full swing and he had no reason to be bothering the group. Backing down from it, Nate turned back to the railing and glanced down at the club below. He raised an eyebrow slightly when he caught sight of an old friend of his, Flora. They'd known each other back when they were in school and though they didn't keep in too much contact since leaving school, that didn't mean that he couldn't go give her a quick hello before heading back to his office for a bit of work. Pounding back down the stairs, he made his way over to where she was sitting. "Flora, fancy seeing you here in the club," he commented as he sidled up next to the bar where she was at. Leaning up against the bar, he tapped his fingers on it, signaling for the bartender to bring him over his drink. "Anything for you?" he asked, motioning to the bartender to get the girl whatever she may have wanted.

Flora Laughed. " Quite a dream Nate... Quite a dream... Glad you made it come true. yeah, i'll have a Jack and coke, minus the jack!" she laughed. "i'm sober... sober since i had sophia... who is 2 now, and is currently at the babysitters." she said. Nate would have remembered all the nights Flora spent crying at the black lake, All the pain she went thro with her Ex, the Worst part was when her ex walked out leaving 2 month old Sophia and 21 year old Flora standing at the alter. Well, sophia was propped up in a waggon crying her head off while sophia melted into a puddle of sobbing. "it's been how long since We last spoke? i appologize for the lack of owls ."

To be perfectly honest, Nate was the sort of cocky bastard that didn't doubt himself at any point, no matter what the case. Even though plenty of people had told him that the whole idea of opening a club was stupid and that it would fail before he could even get it off the ground, there had never been a moment where his confidence had been shaken on the matter. He knew that if he wanted to do something, than he would do it and it would turn out pretty damn well. The club, for example, was his shining achievement. He was but a young twenty-two years old and he already had one of the most successful clubs running in the town. He sure as hell had shown them what he was capable of. "Yeah, quite a dream," he agreed with a simple nod. He wasn't always the most talkative, though he was a fairly outgoing sort of guy. Sometimes he just didn't find it necessary to talk all too much.
Calling over the bartender, he called for the order of a coke. Not his first choice of drinks, but whatever. To each their own. If Flora wasn't in a drinking mood, than so be it. Nate certainly wouldn't be caught going sober at any point in the near future, but whatever. "Ah, right. The kid," he nodded, having momentarily forgotten about that whole ordeal. It had been quite some time since they'd talked or seen each other. "How is the little tyke?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. To be completely honest, he couldn't have cared less, not being too fond of kids himself, but he knew that it was something of an obligation to ask and so he did. Nate knew when he needed to act like a more caring individual than he actually was, which was a rather useful skill in his book.
Taking another sip from his drink, Nate almost shrugged at her question, but refrained from doing so. He doubted that it would come off as particularly friendly if he simply didn't know. "Ah, far too long, I'd say," he said, a smirk arising on his face. Hell, he had no idea how long it had been, but that wasn't important. He'd come up with a reasonable response that would come off with the perfect mixture of playful and friendly. "How have you been, than? Good, I hope?" he asked. He wasn't much for reunions and talking about other people's lives, but sometimes he knew that he had to do things he wasn't all too fond of to foster relationships and get where he needed to go. That was just the sort of thinking that he had when it came to people.
