Had it been any other day of the week, Talan would have been out prowling around the school, taking on his duties as Head Boy and doing whatever he felt necessary to get those he wasn't fond of into trouble. However, since it was Saturday and he wasn't obligated to do such, he was currently just sitting in the commons room with a book in hand. He wasn't the most sociable of people, but that wasn't to say he was antisocial. He just didn't care to waste his time seeking out the company of others when he had more important things to attend to. Though, he was never opposed to people coming to him for a conversation or whatever it was they wanted. That was much more acceptable, since obviously if he were to get anywhere in life he'd have to at least do some sort of networking while at Hogwarts. After all, there were some rather important families with children there that he would find very beneficial to associate with. That was mainly how Talan based his friendships, given he wasn't a particularly caring person.
He also wasn't a particularly studious person, so it didn't take much more than a solid hour of sitting there with his book to decide that perhaps he should be out doing something more productive. What, exactly, that would be, Talan had no idea. He was very organized when it came to getting things done and generally was able to get most things out of the way and finished in a timely manner. So, really, once the weekend came around he was more or less free to do as he pleased. However, he wasn't one for just going out, so he found himself hunting for little things to take care of that were somewhat productive, even if they weren't necessarily important. Today, that little task that came to mind was a robe fitting. He'd been putting that off at the back of his mind for a few days now and perhaps now would be a good day to go into town and look into getting a new pair of robes. Talan was quite proud to say that he had grown a good two inches since his last fitting and was in need of something different. Besides, one could never have enough good robes.
Closing his book with a light thud, Talan rose from the seat he had been occupying and quietly made his way over to his dormitory. He was, as always, in rather presentable attire, so it wasn't like he had to go through any huge motions to get ready. He simply dabbed on a light bit of cologne, just in case, and threw his book onto his bed. He was quite aware that he looked good no matter what the case was, so with a charming smile on his face, he left from his room to head over to Hogsmeade. He had no idea who he would be running into, so he put himself in as pleasant a demeanor as possible as he walked over to the town. Surely, someone of importance would be around and he didn't want to be unprepared for some sort of opportunity to get himself ahead. As he approached the town, his eyes glanced about, looking for either someone worth talking to or a decent place to grab a cup of coffee before he reached his destination either. Seeing neither of the two right off the bat, he settled for just going and getting what he needed done. Coffee could wait.
Strolling down the walkway, Talan quickly reached the door to Gladrags, opening it with a slightly irritated look. All of the colours that bombarded his eyes caused a snarl to arise on his face and his previously quite affable mood to sour. He was already less than impressed by the store, but it was the only place around that actually would be able to help him, so he was forced to settle. Walking along and into the racks of clothes he started to sort through them with the hope that, perhaps, he might find at least something that was even slightly suitable. However, the longer he looked, the less hopeful he became. It most definitely wasn't one of his better adventures.

Erika hadn't planned on spending the day at Hodsmeade, but in any case she was here anyways. She guessed that her feet had told her that she needed a break away from all the stress that the young woman had been putting onto her plate. What with being the Co-Leader of The Young Marauders, she had a lot to deal with. She was young and beautiful but for the moment, she was also very, very tired. Erika was usually so full of energy that it surprised her that she was so utterly exhausted. So one way or another her brain told her it was time for a break. Honeydukes was the first place her mind thought of and that brought a devilish smile to the young Gryffindor's face. The one problem was, that Erika almost walked out of her room in nothing but a tanktop and some short. She rolled her eyes and then took a step back and walked to her trunk to rumage about for something acceptable to wear. She wrinkled her nose at the first few things that she saw and wondered to herself, why in the world she had packed those in the first place. She was about to overlook her favorite top when she stopped and then snarled darkly as she pulled her favorite top from her trunk and looked at it. Someone had tried to hide it, and the fact that there was a large ink stain on the front of it.
Eri sighed to herself as she walked over to her bedside table and picked up her wand and muttered a spell that would take the ink stain away. Once it was gone she started to dress herself, her favorite top as well as a pair of form fitting jeans that clung to her beautiful and lithe body. She didn't have time to deal with her unruly curls so once more she used her magic and straightened her hair as she usually liked it. Eri nodded once to herself in the mirror and decided for once to skip the make up, she knew she looked good without it and her fresh new tan was what she wanted people to focus on instead of just her make up. Erika was a slightly vain creature and enjoyed people looking at her, not so much of people touching her though, that was the one thing that got on Erika's nerves more than anything. Being touched without her permission was the biggest mistake you could make in your life and it was a mistake you did not want to make twice. Erika is a forgiving person, but if you cross her more than once you can almost garentee that your life is going to be a living hell. That was the one thing that made Erika Carson Thomas the way she is.
The wind howled a bit and tossed Eri's hair as she left Hogwarts and made her way toward's Hogsmeade. As soon as she entered the little town she already felt something was wrong, and that she was about to get into some trouble. And sure enough, as soon as she started towards Honeydukes she was grabbed from behind and pulled against a rather well muscled chest. She flinched when the person burried their face into her hair and seemed to inhail her scent. Erika struggled and then finally broke free of the person and whirled around to face her attacker. She glared hatefully as she looked at the guy. "Conner I told you. It was a one night stand, nothing more." She said coldly as she turned away from him but her hand was grabbed and she was turned back around to to face Conner. "Erika, you know you wanna go for round two." He said with a devilish grin which made Erika's facial feature's harder even more. Erika pulled her hand out of his easily and then slapped Conner across the face before darting into the closest shop, which happened to be Gladrag's Wizardwear. Erika was only half paying attention so she accidentally bumped into a young man just as Conner was following her into the shop. "Come on Erika baby lets talk about this." He purred.
Erika had to think quick if she was going to get herself out of this mess. She looked up at the guy she had run into and then a quick idea hit her and she instantly reached out and took the guys hand and laced her fingers with his and leaned against him slightly. "Hey sweety, i've been looking for you." She said lightly, her voice sugary sweet. She then looked over her shoulder at Conner. "Oh hey Conner, have you met my boyfriend?" She asked with a slight giggle, though it didn't appear like it Erika was nervous. She didn't know how the hell this guy was going to react to her just claiming he was her boyfriend, hell she didn't even know who this guy was let alone if he was even a student at Hogwarts. What in the world had she gotten herself into this time?

Drifting through the racks of clothes, Talan was becoming quickly disheartened with the seemingly fruitless search that he had undertaken. Technically, he should have known better than to expect something from such a dingy little shop, but it was the closest thing in Hogsmeade that he could find to a clothing shop and so, he had to settle. As he ruffled through piles of clothes, there were at least a few things here and there that he was at least a little bit okay with. Not something that he would have chosen were he given a wider, more worthwhile assortment to look through, but it was the best that he could do on such short notice. Somehow, he would have to put together a suitable outfit from the things that he found in the store and Merlin be damned if he couldn't make it work.
His attention was completely absorbed with what he was doing, so he hardly noticed when the door ringed as it opened to let in another young person. Even if he had been paying attention, he probably wouldn't have said a word to the girl when she entered into the store. That is, until she ran into him. Talan was, if a bit of a jerk, respectful when it came to social settings. He was wellbred to the point where even around those he wasn't fond of, he was in a sense "respectful." So, for someone to so rudely barge in and bump into his shoulder without so much as an excuse me, Talan couldn't say that he was too pleased. This made him quite predisposed to dislike whoever it is that was that was bumping right into him.
A grunt of irritation escaped his mouth and he looked down to see who it was. He didn't recognize her offhand, but it wasn't like he had all that much time to process it before she was grabbing at his hand and lacing her fingers through it. Talan's instant reaction would have been to back away as she leaned into him, but for some reason he felt that perhaps he shouldn't. Even though he wasn't fond of the current situation that he was in, she seemed to need something and if that were the case, than obliging her for a moment might work to his benefit. Talan was an opportunist at heart and when he saw a chance to get something in his favor, than he took it.
Playing along as best he could, his cold look turned to one of a friendlier, almost pleasant nature. Not at all something that could be seen on Talan's face under any normal circumstances, but he could adapt. He was like a chameleon in that sense, able to play along when he needed to and do what it took to get himself one more step ahead. At the word boyfriend, Talan took that as his cue to snake an arm around the girls body and pull her in closer, looking over at the other guy with a bit of a glare. Given that Talan was rather intelligent, he was able to quickly catch on to what was happening in front of him and he quickly fell into place as a fake boyfriend for a moment. Somehow, he would use this to his advantage later and that was perfectly his style.
With the arm that was wrapped around the girl in question, Talan moved her to the side and stepped in front of her, placing himself between this boy Connor and the girl. "I'd suggest you leave before this gets nasty," he told the other guy, giving him a rather intimidating look. Talan was a fairly large guy, over six feet tall and muscular, so it was no surprise that the guy quickly backed down when he started to threaten him. Slinking back with a scowl, the boy Connor left from the building with Talan's ever present gaze watching to be sure that he didn't pull anything. Of course, were he to actually try fighting Talan, it would have been a sad showing. Talan was skilled with his wand and had no doubt that he could easily have shown that kid not to mess with him.
As soon as the door slammed shut once more, Talan quickly dropped the facade. His arms fell back to his side, his scowl returned to his face and he stepped back away from the younger girl. Turning to face her, he looked her over once before speaking. "Explain now, or you'll be living in detention for the next month," he demanded, his tone rather bored. As head boy, he was able to sentence detentions as he saw fit and, given that this girl seemed to be a Hogwarts student, she fell under his jurisdiction. Certainly, Talan could easily find a way to use that to his advantage. His position wasn't ever used to help benefit the school or "fight trouble", it was used to benefit Talan.
