It was her first day at the school and already Ilyana was loving it. Being the new girl, while having something of a downside, was kind of awesome. Most everyone found her interesting and liked talking to her, finding out who she was, where she had come from, what her story was, and Ilyana loved to talk about it. She was proud of where she came from; she thought it made her interesting. The accent, of course, was sexy as hell and everyone seemed to agree on that point. Then, there were the scars. From the time she was a baby, she had undergone the painful, horrific change into a werewolf and she had accumulated more than a few scars to show it. Not to mention, the rest of her family hadn't exactly helped with that. They too had made the change every month and sometimes, it got violent. However, Ilyana liked the scars. It showed everyone just who she was and made her that much more badass.
So, when she came to the castle, it was pretty damn exciting that everyone seemed to jump on getting to know her. In fact, she'd had people all over her even before she'd shown up to the castle and had even gone out with a few of them over the course of the week before she came to the campus for real. To make it all better, she was now having a "welcome to the castle party" thrown for her. Even though she had been incredibly hesitant to come to Hogwarts and Europe in general, it was kind of turning out pretty good for her. At least, almost everything was turning out pretty good, anyways. The guys were great, but the girls seemed to be pretty damn bitchy towards her, overall. Then, of course, there was Carleigh. Definitely not the best situation, but Ilyana was pretty whatever about it by now.
If she got that fed up with Carleigh, she could just take off back to Australia with one of her many new guy friends. She'd already spent one night there with Dean, which was a lot of fun and she was more than ready for another. However, tonight was her night to get to know the rest of the castle and what better way than with a party? She was definitely glad that she'd run into Dean in the chatbox and that he had agreed to throw a party for her, since it was pretty much the best way ever to start off her time at the castle. She was a bit of a partier. Not hardcore where she got wasted and drank a lot, but she liked to have a good time. She was more likely to be the one singing along to the music and dancing around in the middle of the dance floor, perfectly sober, than to be drunk.
Having gotten an official tour of the castle at least four times that day, Ilyana felt comfortable enough to walk herself over to the Room of Requirement where her party was being set up. However, that wasn't about to happen, since as soon as she was out of her room, she was accosted by one of the guys that she'd yet to meet. Ilyana didn't mind it though and gladly let him take her arm to lead her over to the Room of Requirement. They chatted a little bit on the way there, he gushed about her accent, she played it up, all the usual stuff. However, she was quickly bored of him and when they reached the room of requirement, she let go of him to run off and see other people. There was no one of particular interest there just yet, so she sidled over to the bar and grabbed a butterbeer to sip at while she waited.
