Brielle sighed while reading the first years required book The Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Protection, she as well had to study it and being she's not the most experienced teacher so she had to prepare. She was hardly done and was hopeful it would spontaneously combust, but it was a doubtful thing, although Hogwarts is magical so a girls wish could come true.
Brielle had herself comfortably placed on a bench in the ravenclaw lunch table and crossed he legs, raising her dress to keep from riping the expensive attire. She sighed once more as she placed the book down and stared at the table. Her eyes could hardly stay open as she wasted much time looking a this book when she should be in her classroom, sadly too weak to move Brielle continued to stare and she started to drift off into her imagination. Her dreams came alive as she day dreamed, it was magical to her to be trapped in imagination land, but she wished someone would knock her out of it so she'd get back to work. Brielle was usually diligent, but doing something hours on end didn't give her energy to continue the task. Anyway, she was now almost completely asleep, but she kept cheering herself on to keep awake, she even gave herself a pep talk. Her lids started to feel heavy on her, it was unusual how tired she was, although she hadn't really slept for about two days.
Brielle's head was rested on her fist, but it slipped off, finally to wake her up and she heard giggling noises behind her. So she shot her head back with a warning expression and the students were completely deer caught head lights look painted on their face. Brielle smiled and then huffed as she spotted the book once more.Back to work, she thought and pouted as she picked the book up. It was surprising that she was even a teacher, but she loved so much she'd read a thousand books just teach kids how to survive in dark times.Just because she's completely enchanting didn't mean she couldn't have heart.

Nothing would make Ari happier than to be back to work with her team, training and playing in matches like she should have been. However, she couldn't. She still had another six months until she was cleared by the healers and allowed to pick her life back up and be a real part of her team again. Sure, she had the few training sessions here and there on those days where she wasn't at work with her current position as the flying professor at Hogwarts, but it wasn't the same. Ari needed that action packed life back, with the hardcore training every day and the constant fanfare going on around her. To be stuck there at Hogwarts, surrounded by small children and forced to be a teaching figure was hell for Ari and certainly not something that she wanted to continue doing. Every day she had to wake up and remind herself that it was just six more months and that she would be back to her life before she knew it.
Yet, as much as she hated the position that she was in, she understood it. She understood that she was dangerous and that being in the spotlight in a time like this wasn't good for her. There was a constant threat that she could wind up back in the hospital as she was learning to deal with the monthly change with the full moon and that wasn't something that she could handle on top of the training that she went through with Puddlemere. Of course, it wasn't like that realization made it any easier to deal with for Ari. Sometimes she considered just quitting her job as a professor altogether and apparating away to somewhere no one would find her and where she couldn't hurt anyone by accident, but then Ari was much to social to consider leaving people and being on her own.
It was the day after the full moon, which was never a good time for Ari. She had scratches scattered about her body and it looked rather as if she had taken on the Whomping Willow in a fight. It was slightly better than the last few times, at least, with no deep cuts that could prove to be far too dangerous if she didn't deal with them. Ari wasn't exactly the most responsible, so typically she left her cuts bleeding until someone else dealt with them for her. Not, perhaps, the best idea if she wanted to keep the fact that she was a werewolf secret, but Ari didn't quite realize that. She couldn't have healed them herself were she to try anyways, so she let it go. She had come to be quite talented at lying anyways, so certainly if anyone had any questions about it she could just come up with some lie that would cover up the true story of what had happened.
Rolling out of her bed, Ari sat up at the side of the bed and shook her head a bit to help wake herself up. The night after the full moon was never easy and Ari tended to be quite grumpy. Typically, she was an extremely cheerful and bubbly person, but it was hard to keep that up after a night filled with pain. Not to mention, she found that she was always rather hungry when she woke up in the morning and that did nothing to help her mood. Not wanting to remain in a mood like that, she made the decision to head up to the great hall to grab something to eat. By then, Ari had slept through breakfast and it was about time for lunch to be served. Of course, she wasn't particularly picky when it came to food and at that point would probably scarf down just about anything that was put in front of her.
Not bothering to change out of her pajamas, Ari padded up the stairs from the dungeons where her room on the grounds was and made her way up to the great hall. She didn't want to go sit up at the table with the rest of the staff, as she still hadn't met many of them and instead looked about for somewhere to sit amongst the crowds. As her eyes glanced about, she found herself caught looking at someone sitting at the Ravenclaw table. The woman was definitely a professor, though Ari couldn't have told you what she taught. Shrugging a bit, she walked over there and sat down next to the woman, turning to her with an attempt at a friendly smile. Wiping at one of the cuts on her face, Ari nodded a bit to the woman. "G'morning," she said, though it clearly was not the morning to the rest of the school. Grabbing a plate, she loaded it with food and started to munch at it, not exactly eating with the best manners. Though, she rarely did, especially when she was quite hungry and worn out from a long, difficult night. Of course, Ari didn't care. It wasn't like she had to impress the woman next to her. She should already be impressed with Ari, after all. She was rather famous.

_______
Brielle kept her legs crossed and at times had to cover herself for her dress would some how ride up. She didn't enjoy this, but it was her fault for picking todays outfit so she dealt with it. A continuing her studies she thought about how to teach it, possibly something different then the normal, old, boring studies she'd taught before. Still it would be fresh for the new students, but for her it got tiring and she wished for something to come to her, just waiting for that light bulb to shine above her head. Sadly her muse was leaving for a holiday, not so good when she's in need of creativity.
As she concentrated on her studies she realized she was not the only semi-adult in the room. It seems a rather sporty young women had appeared into the great hall, ready to fill her stomach with whatever been served. Brielle was hardly looking up from her book, but she wouldn't help but look, she couldn't tell if the girl was student or graduate, possibly teacher. She hadn't really met every teacher, she'd been teaching from till she was well, probably at twenty-one. It was quite sad, Brielle never really felt ashamed though, she had lots to do for a beginner teacher in such a major subject. A lot to handle really, she sticked to it even so, it gave her great satisfaction to know she has some sort of impact on a students life and her lessons are very important in world of magic. Danger lurks, they need preparing and Brielle was there to help.
She again eyed the gal, she started to look for a table and grabbed Brielle's Ravenclaw table. Sitting next to her she did, so Brielle uncrossed her legs and placed her book down. She turned a bit to face her, she seemed very mysteriously devious, something different from Brie. Brielle didn't see much fault in her, but she didn't see much potential good so she thought to figure her out and get to know her. Once the girl said good morning she seemed formal, but the shortening of the word showed she wasn't dedicated to the proper pronunciation, though Brielle didn't judge by that.
"Good morning," she greeted back in a small voice. She wasn't fully awake so her voice wouldn't be awake as well, she also wasn't so much attentive and her eyes seem to be weighed down. Surprisingly it hardly showed, she looked her best even when tired and enjoyed being able to look presentable while not in the greatest moments of being beautified. It didn't have the same effect as her new table buddy by her, weary she seemed, tuckered out for some reason. Still she was quite pretty even with her facial scars she was a looker.Brielle smiled a tad at the women while looking at her."I'm Brielle Laurent, defense professor," she introduced and held her hand out ready for hand shake."You are?"

To be honest, as Ari sat there eating, she wasn't particularly concerned with getting to know the woman she'd decided to sit down next to. Typically, she was the sort of person that was always happy to get to know new people and started off all kinds of conversation. However, she wasn't herself just yet and even the stunning beauty of the woman next to her wasn't enough to bring her out of the stupor of the night before. It had been one of the nights where she had taken the high road and instead of letting herself go hunt down innocent animals to quench her bloodlust, she'd locked herself in the Shrieking Shack and took all the pent up anger out on herself. It was painful as hell, but it at least made Ari feel like she wasn't doing something wrong.
Glancing up at the greeting from the woman, Ari nodded a bit and looked at her hand. Obviously, she was probably expected to be nice and courteous and what not, but she wasn't in the mood. However, considering the woman was a fellow professor, she didn't want to be overly rude. After all, they might see each other around more often as the year went on and Ari didn't want it to be awkward or anything. Putting her food down for a moment, she wiped off her hands and took the other womans, clasping it and giving it a shake before letting it go. "Defense...that's good. I'm ah, flying. I teach flying," she nodded. Though, given the fact that she was a professional, there obviously couldn't have been another class that she could have taught and the woman next to her clearly should have known that. Right?
However, it seemed that the woman had absolutely no idea who she was. Ari gave her a skeptical look for a moment, trying to figure out if she was just joking around or if, perhaps, she really didn't know who she was. There were those people out there that didn't follow Quidditch worth a damn, which always made Ari cringe, and those people didn't know her, but everyone else should have. At least, that was Ari's view anyways. "Erm, Ari Davies. Quidditch player, kind of famous, all over the magazines, you know?" she said, hoping that it would spark some sort of recognition from the woman. At the very least, even if it didn't, she hoped that it would at least impress her somewhat. It was certainly worthy of some admiration, as far as Ari was concerned.
Her head dropped slightly to look back over at her food, causing a bead of blood roll down her forehead and plop right into her plate. Really, Ari wasn't bothered by the fact that it was now contaminated by her blood and probably even would have found that to be more appealing. However, she also had the common sense to know that normal people didn't like to eat blood and so let a snarl of irritation furrow across her forehead. "Shit," she cursed, pushing her food to the side. "Got in a bit of a tussle last night," she commented, offering it up as an explanation as to why she was a bit of a bloody mess at the moment. She figured it was probably inevitable that Brielle asked about it, so she came up with some answer that would pass. Even if it was a clearly fail answer, it was good enough for Ari.

_______ The hand shake was firm, not so gentle, but Brielle was tough enough to equal the force of Ari's."Hmm... Flying teacher huh?" she repeated the women profession."Sound lovely, flying is a important subject in travel and sport," Brielle complemented, although hardly much impressed. It wasn't that she thought her job was the most important, but flying wasn't much of a contribution other than what she said, sports and flying. She later heard Ari's words, somewhat impressive and showed that she was fit for her professorship. Brie heard her words once more in her mind, it felt like and attempt to spark the idea of her, but Brielle was clueless of her ranking in Quidditch or her fame."Sorry I don't keep up with Quidditch, I hope this doesn't make you hate me," she smiled a bit at her joking about Ari hating her for not following a sport. It wasn't uncommon for her to know no athletic people, she wasn't much of a sports fan and would only attend the schools Quidditch matches. It was entertaining a bit, but after a while it just appeared a painful, dangerous sport. Regardless she'd support anyone who'd want to become a professional if it was their dream she wouldn't crush it.
She came back to think, it came to her about Ari, she was quite known, but Brielle only knew of her attack. She felt quite sorry for this fact, but it wasn't like Brie was there and could prevent it. She was sure was a by chance thing, nothing planned or maybe it was, she had no clue and didn't want to ask so she wouldn't come off rude. Brielle just thought to look through news papers, or ask around, but wasn't too important for her to act as an investigator. Leaving behind as old news she wouldn't bring up the bad memory.
A moments by blood broke the silence as it fell of forehead of the oh famous Ari Davies. Brielle worried for a moment, and her cursing was quite surprising be an adult or better a professor, but hardly and students where there. As she explained it was hardly any detail and left Brielle to wonder, it seemed like a fight and the other person might have won."Are you okay?" she questioned,"Need any help?" she offered, and wondered her bag she had placed next to her and searched for a clothe to help stop the bleeding. Usually having something on had, she didn't this time and felt useless to Ari. Not wanting her to bleed to death she offered to take her to the hospital wing. It didn't seem to serious so she believed the girl would deny her offer, plus she seemed hungry and why be the one to take her away from it, also it was hardly morning and the girl seemed to just wake and missing the most important meal. Either way the offer would stand, and Brie was one to take care of others, and was kind enough to take the time to drag herself and another across the school.

The way that the woman spoke about the profession of flying made Ari feel as if she was looking down on it as a lesser subject. Frequently, she got that sort of thing from the people with more "important" jobs. However, Ari absolutely thought that flying and Quidditch had a very important role in society that couldn't just be taken lightly. It was a debate that she'd spring on under most occasions, but would let slide for now, since she was clearly in no state to fight over anything at the moment. "Yeah, it's pretty much the most important subject of them all," she said with a nod. Even if she wasn't about to fight, that didn't mean she wasn't going to stick up for her sport and her class. After all, if she was teaching it, it had to be pretty damn important.
Ari's jaw clenched slightly when she heard that the other girl didn't keep up on any sort of news regarding Quidditch. The sort of people that didn't know much about the subject were the sort of people that Ari found it difficult to like. The sport meant so much to her and her life, that someone that knew nothing about it was hard for her to understand. Though, perhaps she could convert a new fan that day. Giving her a slight smile, Ari shrugged her shoulders a bit. "Aha, nah. It's all good, yeah? I mean, to each their own, I guess," she nodded, though she hardly meant it. Really, she wasn't sure how anyone could live their life without loving Quidditch and everything about it and most of all, her. However, she'd do her best to be normal and not get grumpier than she already was.
Glancing over at the woman when she asked if she was alright, Ari nodded a bit in response. She was fine. It happened every month and she had come to learn to deal with the fact that she'd probably end up a bloody mess most of the time. It sucked, but she dealt with it as best she could. "Nah, it's whatever. Kicked the guy's ass that did it to me, so it's all good, right? I mean, he fucked up my face a bit, but it's still pretty damn sexy," she commented with a slight smirk on her face. Honestly, Ari wasn't the type to be bothered by her wounds too much and generally just kind of left the. It wasn't the safest option, but she was too bust to sit down and just let someone heal them for her. Besides, it gave her a chance to give off a good story every now and then about how she fought off numerous rabid fans and the like. Which, fortunately, people tended to believe, keeping her identity as a werewolf completely secret to the world.
Leaning in to munch at her food a bit more, Ari let the conversation dwindle for a moment before looking back up to to Brielle. "So, uh. What made you come teach here? 'cause, not gunna lie, it sort of sucks ass. Charity is lucky that I'm such a good person and decided to come help here," she asked. Of course, she wasn't there at all for any charity reason and it was only due to the fact that she couldn't play for a year with her team because of her injuries from the attack. However, she had put forth so many stories that no one really even knew what to believe had happened to her anymore. It was a mystery that Ari was happy to continue feeding, since there was no way in hell she was about to let anyone in on her secrets. As far as she was concerned, it was best they just live in the dark about her attack.

"That's nice," she commented.Cocky, Ari seemed. So sure of subject being the best to learn, it wasn't much to Brielle. She basically thought flying was just floating on house hold tool, nothing special. Not wanting to debate on a "my horse is bigger" kind of subject, still she thought flying was just a something to make a wizarding school more entertaining and giving the children more oppertunity in the world of travel. It wasn't like she was saying her class was better, it was important, but not the most. Brielle kinda thinks of it as, it's the individuals point of view of what's the favored subject and not the population. Well not really her saying,or the first to say it , just a belief.
Brielle brushed her hair back. She could tell Ari was feeling a bit like ripping Brielle's head off, probably not succeeding. It would of made the day interesting and not tiring as it was now, plus she needed a good work out. Sadly looking at the girl Brielle could tell she wouldn't put much of her power into a punch and she wanted to feel full potential of the girl. Odd she feels the need to fight, she never fought.Too good to for words so why ruin the image now. Always maintain the perfect image and you'll be perfect to everyone else, she'd always say to keep herself from worrying if she ever were to slip up and show an imperfection. Show's how imperfect she really is trying to be something she wishes to be and not something she naturally is.
Brielle looked away from a moment, then right back when she was given an answer to her offer. Not a polite answer, pretty racy, but she didn't mind. A good sailors mouth gave her chills. She never would say anything like that. She never uttered, shit, fuck, damn, twat, and the forbade "c" word. It wouldn't have much an effect if she said anyway, no chills, it would only bring a sensation if was spoken out of the words of another. "Pretty damn sexy". she heard. True, quite a looker Ari was and shameless, plus daring. She went back from the amazement of the women to word of guy."A man did this?" she asked, it would be surprising if was true. Probably slang, but the way sound made it feel like a dick of guy roughed her up a bit. If it was Brielle the man wouldn't have any feeling in his sperm ship, a.k.a penis and his little troopers wouldn't be able to make little bastards.
"Well ummm..." she paused while being asked how she came to be here. She was also quite angry how boring the place seemed to Ari, but sometimes it can be quite slow."I always wanted to teach, seemed to be fun and I love the idea of teaching defense. Help students get ready for a harsh world, be able to defend themselves. I just don't know I have the feeling something bad's going to happen and I want to prepare them all. You know?" she didn't really believe Ari might understand. To Brielle Ari came across that school was just something to fill the small spaces of life to keep from doing nothing. Opposite for Brielle, it was a land of wonder and especially for Hogwarsts, you never know what can happen here."Charity?" she asked. She supposed it made sense, school jobs are for those who are willing.
"If you hate it here so much," she said,"Why stay?" she asked. Probably a common question for a "all time famous" quidditch woman. Also Brie didn't really want someone who didn't enjoy doing their job at the school, nobody to see the glory in teaching doesn't really deserve to be one.

The more that Ari talked to Brielle, the less she was starting to like her. She seemed to be a bit uppity about her subject and how it must obviously be better than flying, which ticked Ari off. Sure, the other stuff was more academic and would theoretically help the students in the long run, but the odds of most of them going into a field where they would need that kind of skill were generally fairly slim. As far as Ari was concerned, learning how to keep physically fit and how to play Quidditch was much more useful overall. The kids didn't get fat because they got the exercise and it brought a sense of community to them all. Quidditch was something that could bring people together that typically wouldn't get along and Ari thought it was pretty damn important. Of course, it was unlikely that anyone else saw it the way she did and that bothered her. The game meant more to Ari than most things did and it irked her when people didn't show the proper appreciation for it.
The language that Ari used when she spoke generally wasn't suited for her position as a professor, but that didn't really matter to her. Honestly, she didn't give a damn about whether or not she was a proper professor. Either way, she'd be leaving within the next few months and the school sort of needed her, so it wasn't like they were going to fault her for the fact that she tended to curse up a storm. That was just how she spoke and it was something that came with putting her on as the professor. Brielle, however, didn't exactly seem the type to do such things. She seemed, to Ari, to be one of those professors that took their job too seriously and felt that they had to be a shining example for the children that they taught. Ari just hoped that they weren't all like that. She'd only had a chance to meet Jacob, who was amazing, and Brielle...who had some work to be done.
Nodding a bit at her question, Ari shrugged helplessly over at Brielle. Sometimes she kind of felt bad covering up her own attack on herself with stories of other people causing it, but she didn't know how else to get around it. It was easiest to place the blame on someone else than to come up with some other reasoning for her injuries. "Yeah, crazy fans, yanno? I mean, I'm sure you know how it is," Ari said with a shrug, as if it were no big deal and happened all the time. Pausing for a moment, Ari's face furrowed up into a thoughtful expression. "Actually, you probably don't. But, yeah. Crazy fans. Say no to a picture and they turn into psychopaths." Ari shook her head, as if she were amused by the thought. The less weight she put on the injuries, the less likely people were to question her story and ask for more information, which was typically the sort of thing that she wanted to do.
The thought that someone could actually grow up wanting to teach was something Ari would never get. She was the type of person that liked to be out there doing things, not stuck behind a desk teaching everyone else how to do them. Of course, everyone was different, so she couldn't really fault Brielle for her decision. Someone had to do it, anyways. Her eyes narrowed a bit, not really sure what Brielle meant by something bad. The war from before was over and it was a new age, so what could possibly give her the feeling that something might happen? "Something bad? Aren't you being just a bit paranoid there, mate? I mean, it's pretty...peaceful for now," Ari pointed out. She wasn't really aware of any of the smatterings of talk about something new coming about that could turn into a war, since she was generally too busy caught up with her own life to care about what was going on in the world.
Inclining her head slightly to agree to her question about charity, Ari gave it a moment for her to think up why, exactly, the charity thing was what she was doing. She'd told so many different versions of the story that they all just sort of melded together. "Yeah, see, the last professor quit and they desperately needed someone and my coach volunteered me or whatever. It's good for publicity and has brought so much support to Puddlemere. Great for us, really, so I'm dealing with it," she explained. It was partially true, since it was her coach that had gotten her the job and it technically had brought a lot of support. However, the intention behind it wasn't exactly truthful. At the very least, the story checked out well enough and didn't bring too many questions.
Her next question was something that Ari asked herself every day. Why was she still there? After all, it wasn't like she needed the job. Her position with Puddlemere had brought in enough galleons to last her for years, so it definitely wasn't a question of funds. Nor was it a matter of obligation. She wasn't really required to do this for any reason and it wouldn't be too terribly difficult for them to find a new professor. "Ah, I guess I'm just sticking it out for the team. The more support we get, the better. We've sold more copies of our edition of Quidditch Weekly than ever before," she shrugged. Also true, but still not the real reasoning behind it. "Pretty sure at least half the kids in the school have my full length picture hanging up in their dorms by now," she mused, a slight grin on her face at the thought of it. It didn't bother her in the least that most of her students had seen her nearly nude and that many of them probably had a copy of the picture hanging around somewhere. If anything, it was an honor.
notes;; it was totally fiine!
