Lily didn't return Erinn's hug. Only because she didn't want to infect the other girl with her zombie illness. The bobble on top of her hat wobbled as she nodded her head in response to Erinn's words. They really had missed out on a lot. Lily didn't comment much though. Which was probably strange to anyone who knew her because she usually always had something to say. But she really didn't have the energy in her to chatter on like she usually did. Nodding her head and 'Mmm-ing' in agreement would have to do for now.
Lily smiled at Erinn's next statement. "I will definitely be watching his sexy behind." She quirked a brow and gazed on in appreciation at Daniel and all his fine-ness. When Erinn stated that they should kidnap him, Lily nodded her head in agreement. "Do you think anyone will notice if i hit him with a body bind curse and we drag him off the pitch?" Lily questioned, her gaze still trained on Daniel. "We could hide him in our dorm and make him our love-slave." she liked the sound of that. Ooh, the fun that could be had. A girl could dream, right?
Something moving out of the corner of her eye had Lily moving her attention from Daniel and to Ari, who was in her pyjamas.. which was pretty strange but whatever. She was too tired to think on that. "Oh hey, you get to play with Chase. That should be fun" Lily smiled, her voice heavily laced with sarcasm.

Even though Ari knew there was no way in hell the kids had a chance, she admired their confidence. She herself had been one cocky little bitch when she was in school and had no doubt that she could have taken on any pro sent her way, so she sympathized with their attitude, even if they were completely wrong. "Ooh, Alfie, love, that's not even happening. And seriously, call me Ari. Professor is just...too formal," she nodded, crinkling her nose. If there was one thing that she could easily get fired for, it was the way that she acted with her students. She treated them more like friends and potential flirting partners than students and younger people, but she didn't care. Raising an eyebrow in amusement at his comment, knowing full well where he was going with that, Ari shook her head. "Awh, Alfie, Alfie. You'll come to learn eventually that they're not so bad. Trust, when you come join Puddlemere in a few years, you'll find that the Gryff's aren't as awful as they used to be," Ari nodded, quite sagely. Obviously, she had so much wisdom and advice to offer.

Shaking her head sadly, Erinn was definitely a bit disappointed that she wouldn't get to just watch Daniel play for the entire game. However, the prospect of kidnapping him to hide in their dormitory definitely sounded like a fair compromise. "I'll distract them with my awesome, you get him with the curse and then we can drag him back to the dormitory forever and ever," Erinn said, nodding in agreement. This most definitely beat out any other plans that she had for well, the rest of her life pretty much. Though, she wasn't sure how eager to have a love-slave she was at the present what with her current confusions. "Ah, well, you can have him for love-slaving. I'm pretty tied up in that area," she shrugged, not even realizing that she was saying much to much. Glancing over to see Alfie coming onto the field, Erinn's nose crinkled up irritably. "Yeah, I'm stuck with him and Nika. Talk about a shit bit of luck there," Erinn said, shaking her head, though her voice was vaguely hollow as she spoke. Honestly, she was more than happy to be playing with Nika on the same team. Of course, she'd never admit to such a treasonous thing to anyone, not even Lily.

Daniel shook his head and smiled to himself when he spied Ari attempting to sneak past him, he really didn't know how she thought that she'd be able to get by him without him noticing. Daniel shrugged. He hoped she wouldn't get in trouble for prancing around her PJ's. Watching her having to talk her way out of why she was dressed the way she was would be pretty amusing though. Turning his attention to the three students a little ways across the field, Daniel decided to head over and have a chat with the competition. Well.. if you could call them that. Daniel didn't think it was fair that the students had been pitted against Pro Quidditch players. They were going to get their arses whooped. Big time. Mixing it up so that there were Pro's on each of the opposing teams would have put them on equal footing. Sort of.
Walking over, Daniel flickered his gaze to the boy who had taken off into the air and then turned it back to the two females. "Hey." He greeted them with a slow and easy smile and eyed them each in turn. He quirked a brow at the red head who looked like she was knocking on deaths door. "Damn. You're not playing are you?" He grimaced for effect "I'd feel real bad beating a sick kid." He smiled again to show that he was joking, it was obvious the red head wouldn't be playing, and followed it up with a wink. "Danny Barton." He held out his hand towards the brunette.

This was one of the reasons why Alfie loved Ari so much. Because she talked to and treated him like an equal. And not like he was just some kid. Ari was easily, by a long shot, the coolest professor he had ever met and definitely Alfie's favorite. "Okay, Ari then." He half smirked, feeling a little superior now that he was on first name terms with her. Though she probably lets all of her students call her by her first name. Alfie was just going to pretend that he was more important and that everyone else had to call her Professor.
Alfie gave Ari a long side ways glance when she said that he'd come to find that Gryffindors weren't all that bad. He'd been about to scoff that they'd have to agree to disagree on that one. He'd yet to meet one single Gryffindor who wasn't self righteous and a pain in the arse. But when she mentioned him joining the team in a few years all of his negative thoughts flew right out the window. "You reckon I've got a chance to join the Greats then?" He asked, still cocky but showing the tiniest bit of hope and vulnerability. Alfie wasn't often this open, unless of course it came down to something that was very important to him. Like Quidditch.

Ari could tell that Alfie was definitely not buying the idea that Gryffindors could ever be anything but awful, but she could sympathize with him. After all, she'd been the exact same way throughout her time in school and it had taken quite some time for her to warm up to them once the team had come together. However, now that she was older and such, it didn't even matter to her at all. Of course, she was still obviously superior to them all, but they weren't bad. Giving him a sincere grin, she nodded in response to his question. "Of course, of course. I mean, you've got me to help you get an in, so I'd say that's a pretty good shot," she said with a shrug. The way she put it made it seem more a testament to her own capabilities than his Quidditch skills, but that was just how Ari was most of the time. "Besides, I'm pretty sure our reserve Chaser is dropping next year. You can come live in the awesome that is the Puddlemere house. We could use some more people like you around," she added with a wink. Probably another thing that she shouldn't have done, considering he was a student, but Ari wasn't one for boundaries.

After doing a couple of laps around the Qudditch pitch, DC hovered in the air looking around the quickly filling stadium. He was nervous, sure, because if any goals were made against his team, it would be his fault. But he didn't dwell too much on the possible outcomes of the game. He just wanted to have fun, and enjoy the time he would be spending with his possible future team mates.
Dean Christopher watched as Daniel crossed the field, to talk to Erinn and Lily. His eyes scanned the field, and saw Alfie conversing with Ari. Maybe the professionals were giving his team mates last minute advice. He took one more lap around the pitch, just to clear his head, and then landed softly between the girls and Alfie. Not wanting to interrupt any conversations, he simply sat down on the grass, and waited for the rest of the team to show up.
