It was no secret that Erinn wasn't the timeliest of people, but when she was excited it was hard to keep her energy contained. Today, for example, she was a bouncing, excited, crazy fool. Well, pretty much at least. The fact that she was being asked to play in a serious Quidditch match against actual professionals astounded her and so, she was there early. There were already a rather significant number of people milling about and getting things ready, but from what she could tell, none of the other Quidditch players had showed up just yet. Her broom in hand, Erinn was standing in the middle of the Quidditch Pitch, awaiting both the rest of her team and, of course, the Professionals. After all, that was probably the most exciting part about the whole event. Unable to keep still for too long, Erinn started to pace back and forth, somewhat nervously, as she waited. While it was certainly an honor to be able to play with the pros, it was admittedly a bit nerve-wracking. Because, really, what chance did the ragtag group that had been chosen from the students have to win?

To say that Lily was feeling miserable might have been an understatement. Not only was she full of a stupid feverish cold but because of the stupid feverish cold, she was missing out on the chance to play against some of Britain's most famous Quidditch players in the Charity event currently being held at Hogwarts. It was so unfair. And to top it off she'd been deemed 'too ill' by the nurse to leave the hospital wing, which of course meant she couldn't watch the game. Of course Lily hadn't taken this news well. She'd argued and ranted and whined to the point where, eventually, her voice only croaked in a soft, scratchy whisper. It was murder on her throat and the bloody nurse still refused to let her leave.
Of course when the nurse was under the impression that Lily had fallen asleep and left to use the toilet or whatever, Lily quickly made her escape. If she couldn't participate in the game then she sure as hell was going to watch it. Pulling her large coat tighter around herself, Lily wandered onto the Quidditch pitch. Sure people were supposed to be up in the stands but Lily wanted to see Erinn and hopefully have the chance to meet some Pro Quidditch players. "Hey." Lily called out to Erinn as she approached the pacing female. Her voice was scratchy and weak and she pretty much looked like the living dead but she didn't care.

Glancing up from her pacing, Erinn's eyes first widened a bit in shock to see Lily, then furrowed down into a frown when she realized that she was, in fact, seeing Lily. She was pretty damn sure that the girl was supposed to be locked up in the Hospital Wing getting better, but that apparently wasn't the case and while Erinn usually would have approved of such things, seeing Lily looking like a zombie made that rather difficult. "You look like hell," she said in greeting, offering Lily a slight smirk of amusement as she looked over at the girl. She definitely hated the fact that she wasn't going to be playing with the rest of them and that she wasn't going to be able to hang around and meet the superhotawesome professional players. However, considering that she was there now, perhaps Erinn would be able to at least get her to stay long enough that they could spaz together over the awesome that was to ensue. "But, it's good to see you. Any chance you're magically allowed to play today in the match?" Erinn asked, looking over at Lily with a rather hopeful expression. It wasn't that she had anything against Daisy, well, she probably did, but still. It was mostly just the fact that she'd much rather have one of her best friends there instead.

The sun's rays danced across DC's face, and he opened his eyes slowly. He was still groggy from his late night chat with Erinn about the big game. He sat up on one arm, searching the room to see if anyone else was awake, and smiled to himself when his glaze fell upon the huge pile of Quidditch equipment at the foot of his bed. Seeing his equipment laying there always put him in a good mood before the game, but today he was especially happy. Because not only was he playing against the professionals, whom he hoped to be playing with next year, but Dean Christopher was also getting a chance to play with his cousin, instead of always against her.
Now that he was awake, and his mind couldn't stop thinking about the afternoon game, DC quickly made up his bed and pounced on his Quidditch gear. He picked up the new uniforms that the Ministry supplied for each team, and spent an ample amount of time getting into his gear. Seriously, Dean became a girl when it came to getting ready for a Quidditch match. When he was ready to go, he stood in front of the mirror, checking over the uniform once again. Looking good, Cattermole. He flexed his biceps and laughed. Then he picked up his new firebolt broom, and ran out the door hurriedly. He wasn't late, but he knew that Erinn would already be out on the Quidditch pitch, expecting DC to be there too.

To be honest, Ari had kind of forgotten about the whole big event that was taking place that day. In fact, she probably wouldn't have showed up at all if it hadn't been going on literally just steps outside of her office. As she pushed open the door, a confused as hell look spread across her face as she saw dozens of people running around and setting up tents and other weird things. Clearly, she was missing something. Pattering out to the Quidditch Pitch, she saw a few of the students starting to huddle up in the stands and a couple of the players standing out in the middle. There definitely wasn't a game going on that day for the kids, since she hadn't been helping any of them yesterday. Bah, whatever it was, she probably should figure it out before she simply just left campus for the rest of the day. Waltzing over to where the kids were standing, she decided that she much preferred the idea of talking to the taller boy than the two younger looking girls. She felt like she knew him better anyways, even if she didn't reaally remember who he was. "Heey, you, kid. What the hell is going on?" she asked, not even attempting to hide the fact that she didn't remember him. She may have been a professor, but that didn't mean that she was good at it.

Being back on the Quidditch pitch at hogwarts was amazing. Daniel landed on the grass after circling the pitch on his broom two times and stepped off of his broom. He'd decided to fly over here since he wasn't going for his routine morning run. The flight would clear his head and gear him up for the game ahead. There were already a couple of people stood in the center of the pitch, but he hardly paid them any attention as he took in his surroundings. Damn. Everything seemed so much smaller. Daniel couldn't help the grin that crossed his face as memories of countless wins, losses and draws flooded back. He'd had some pretty amazing times on this pitch, it was sort of nice to reminisce.
Rubbing a hand through his dark tousled hair, Daniel turned his attention to the people stood at the center of the pitch. He could see two girls, probably students. A male, another student and.. was that Ari? Broom in hand, Daniel jogged over to where the small group were stood. "Hey girls" He flashed the girls a friendly and warm grin and then immediately turned his attention to his female team mate. "Ari Babe, that's a cute outfit but you really should change."

Just like he thought, Erinn was already waiting for him in the center of the Quidditch match. He took giant strides towards her, and what appeared to be a very sick Lily, not bothering to cover up his excitement. Hey girls. Aw Lily, I hope you get better real fast! It sucked that one of the team's key players was out, but the match must go on. He wasn't going to let anything ruin the best day of his life.
Dean Christopher spoke with Erinn for a couple of more minutes about strategic plays. They had just finished discussing one of his favorite blocks, when he heard someone shouting behind him. DC quickly looked back to the source of the voice, and found Ari motioning for him to come over. A look of confusion flashed on his face as Dean quickly jogged over to where she was standing, trying not to make her wait. Well hey Professor. What can I do for you? He gave her a lopsided grin, hoping she wouldn't notice that he was totally gushing over her. Hell, she was hot and famous. Uh Professor, today is the Ministry's Quidditch fundraiser. Ya know, the students vs. the professionals? We were picked based upon our answers to the survey they gave out a couple of weeks ago? DC gave her a semi-amused look, because based on the expression she was giving, the flying professor completely forgot about the game. Um Professor? You were picked to be one of the players on the professional team. You should probably go meet up with them.

Cursing silently to herself, she nodded at the kid a bit. Of course. Today was that whole big thing that she had more or less not bothered to pay attention to at all. She'd gotten a letter or something, but she hadn't really bothered to read it and had tossed it to the side in a stack of papers that also hadn't been ready. "Right, that thing. Yeah, I guess I should go do that. Well, not that we need to really discuss strategy, since. I mean. Come on, we're going to kick your asses," Ari said with a smirk and a shrug. Even though she was a professor now and probably shouldn't have been talking with such colourful language to her students, she did. She couldn't really have cared any less about how she was supposed to act, since she certainly didn't intend to stay long. Turning around when she heard a very familiar voice coming up from behind, Ari squealed a bit in excitement and ran the few short steps to tacklehug Daniel. "Danny! You're here too!" she said, a grin rising on her face. Looking down at her outfit- pajamas- she couldn't have told you what was wrong with it in the least. She quite liked her pajamas, they were supercute. Slutty and showing off more than a professor ever should have, but supercute nonetheless. "Change? Daniel, love, you can't deny that you love the pj's," she commented with a wink.

"I feel like my head's been trampled on by a hippogriff" Lily croaked in response to Erinn's statement that she looked like crap. Damn, she felt like crap. But suffering for a few hours would definitely be worth it. "Not unless this flu will magically go away." Lily half grinned and then pouted a little. It really wasn't fair that she couldn't play. "I'm so jealous you get to play and i don't" she glared at Erinn though it was hardly serious before breaking out into a small coughing fit. Ugh, real nice. If only she knew some sort of quick fix spell that could lessen her symptoms for a few hours. At least enough to make sitting out here bearable.
"Thanks, DC." Lily smiled at Dean and then listened on in silence as he and Erinn discussed plays. She would have suggested some herself if her attention hadn't been caught by a figure landing a little ways across the pitch. Well crap. It was Daniel Barton, beater for Puddlemere United and serious hottie. And here she was looking like something a troll had spat out. How lovely. "Erinn" she tugged on her friends sleeve to get her attention and then nodded across the pitch at Daniel, who was now approaching. "Hey there, hotness." Lily said in response to his greeting. He hadn't heard her of course, she would have died if he had.

Glancing around the stadium, DC could see that this was a highly anticipated match. He turned back to the Ari. I wouldn't doubt that Professor. But we'll definitely give you a run for your money. Especially because I only learn from the best. He nodded towards her, flirting a little more than was probably allowed between a teacher and student. Ari turned her attention to Daniel, which signaled that it was time for Dean Christopher to leave. See you later Professor. Good luck you guys. He flashed them a smile, and jogged back to where he's own team was located. Hey Rinn, has anyone else showed up? He walked in a small circle a couple of times, then stretched out his legs; the normal pregame stuff he typically did to prepare himself for the challenge ahead. Hey Erinn, do you want to take a few laps around the pitch with me? He didn't bother to wait for her to respond before he climbed on his broom and pushed off the ground, because he knew that she'd follow.

Daniel half-laughed when he received his 'Ari tackle-hug' and placed a hand on back to steady her, dropping his broom in the process. When Ari stepped back to check out her PJ's, Daniel did too. "I do love your PJ's, I do." He grinned and placed his hands on her shoulders "But you're going to give the boys heart attacks when they see you dressed like this" he offered her a lop sided grin "They'll all be pining after you. And I might just get jealous. Don't want that do we?" finishing off with a wink, Daniel twirled Ari around so that she was faced in the direction she came and lightly smacked her bum to send her on her way. "Go get changed, yeah? I can't be alone with these kids for long. They scare me" He flashed Ari a wide grin and then bent to pick up his discarded broom.

Alfie wasn't all that thrilled to be participating in this match. Why? Because his team was made up of Gryffindorks and Ravens. And he was going to have to co-operate with them. He really couldn't see this going down well at all. The only reason he was going along with it was because of two reasons. A) Ari was playing. Alfie practically worshiped the ground that woman walked. She was sexy and she kicked serious arse at Quidditch. What's not to love about that? and B) He got to play serious ball with Pro Quidditch players. That wasn't something that happened every day, if at all, for students. No matter how he looked at it, it was a great opportunity. The experience and knowledge gained through this match would make it all worthwhile. Besides Nika was playing too, someone he could trust as a team mate, which made things that much easier.
Striding onto the pitch with his broom in hand, Alfie stopped a little ways from where a small group of people were stood. One of whom had just taken off into the air. He recognized him as Dean Christopher. He was a good player. In fact all of the people who were playing in this game were good players. Not that he'd ever admit to their faces. Ever.

If there was anything that Erinn hated more than anything, it was seeing her friends sick or in pain. Her smile dropped a bit and her face drooped down in a rather sad expression at Lily's comments. "Awh, babe, you need to get better like. Now, please? If you don't mind, kay, thanks," Erinn nodded. Not really caring that Lily could be contagious, Erinn closed the distance between them to give her a quick hug and rested her head on Lily's shoulder. "Cause youu, missy, have missed out on a lot. I have lots of important things to tell you," she added with a smile. Breaking away to say hello to her cousin, Erinn's eyes trailed to follow Lily's nod, at which point DC was completely forgotten. "Woah, holy shit. Not gunna lie, I'm sort of jealous of you now. You get to sit there and watch not only their sexy asses, but mine too. Clearly, that is reason to envy anyone," Erinn chuckled. Hell, she'd be surprised if she could even concentrate on the Quaffle with something like that flying around the pitch. Today was definitely the best day ever. By that point, she was only vaguely paying attention to what DC was saying and she simply nodded along with whatever Dean was saying. "Yeah, sure, whatever you say," she agreed, though her attention was clearly elsewhere. "Lils, we need to kidnap him."

Ari gave Dean a bit of a shrug, though she certainly didn't agree that they could ever, possibly, in any way, ever, have a chance. "Well, you did learn from the best, kid, but no way could you ever dream of beating her," she commented with a flirty wink before they parted ways. Was that sort of behavior allowed? Hell if she knew. Her grin was now completely focused on Danny and it was rather childish as he spoke to her, his hands on her shoulders. "Danny, my love, they're already pining for me. Always have been, always will be. It's just a fact of life that everyone wants me," she nodded, quite serious about this. After all, she was Ari Davies. Letting him turn her around, Ari looked back with a glint of amusement in her eyes as he tapped her to send her off. "Yeah, yeah. I'm goin'," she said, shaking her head a bit. However, she really didn't plan on going and had turned around after a few short steps. She could change later, since right now there were more important things to attend to. Though it was rather impossible that she could sneak by Danny with him right there next to her, she tried anyway. Slinking behind him, she made her way over to what was, perhaps, her favorite student. Alfie Chase. "Aaalfieee, are you looking forward to the match?" she asked, coming up next to him with a goofy grin.

Alfie had been about to jump on his broom and do a couple of laps around the pitch when Ari appeared. In some serious mouth-watering night wear. Merlin, Alfie really wished he was a few years older. He was cocky and confident enough to think that he'd have a chance with her. They were both sexy as hell, the passion between them would be immense, he knew it. It was too bad she wasn't a student either. But if she was he couldn't have those professor-student affair dreams he loved so much. Damn those were hot.
When Ari spoke, Alfie snapped out of his mini daydream and focused his attention on the Flying Professor. "Prof. D. Hey." He grinned. "Do you mean am I looking forward to kicking your arse?" he quirked a brow, his smug smile still in place. "I might be playing on a team of handi-capped trolls" he couldn't help the insult directed at the gryffindors, really. "but i'm still pretty sure we'll beat you." Alfie wasn't stupid. He knew that the students would no doubt have their arses kicked and handed back to them but hey, it was all for fun, right? And Alfie really was going to try his damn best. He might impress someone on the team and then that person might just put in a good word for him with someone important.
