"Thank you, Mr. Barbary, for bringing our lack of Ministry officials to my attention," Rose said calmly and sarcastically. She knew that they were not present at the moment, it was quite obvious. She knew that until then, she was supposed to take control of the small group. "They should be arriving shortly," the girl answered Francesca's question.
Rose saw the look on Frankie's face. She had caught on to what had really happened. A little bit of panic struck the girl. "Okay, we should pair off. I'll take Francesca with me and keep an eye out on the Quidditch pitch. You two can keep watch over by the food and entertainment." The pitch was the best place to patrol if you wanted action. There was always a brawl in the bleachers or sometimes even out on the pitch. Not to mention the abundance of gorgeous Quidditch players like Mr. Chase, Mr. Wood, Mr. Cattermole and the professionals. Plus, they had to look like they were getting things accomplished and not just standing around. Rose started walking toward the pitch, nervously trying to fix her hair and she walked. She hoped her actions weren't too obvious. The redhead kept her mouth closed, waiting to find out what her friend observed.

Braden grunted a bit to show his irritation with the situation at hand before settling down into the ground with a scowl. So much for the best day ever. His eyes flicked up to glare at Alex for a moment, entirely disinterested in whatever it was that she might have to say. She was probably just lying or making it up to dash his previous good mood anyways, so he happily ignored her comment and turned back to the other two girls at hand. Even though they didn't seem to be all too eager to help his cause, at least they weren't Alex. It wasn't saying much, sure, but it was something and at this point he was willing to take what he could get. Braden wasn't about to let the three girls steamroll over him with their girlpower or whatever, so he was ready to jump to action at a moments notice.
Even though Frankie's question was entirely not directed at him, Braden was the first to jump to his feet with an eager grin. "We can go do it ourselves. I'm totally capable of handling this shit, man," he nodded, quite excited by the prospect of finally being able to take over and get something awesome done. He wasn't sure what his job was to entail, but somehow he planned on coming out a total hero from the events of the day. Obviously, security was pretty damn important and him most of all. After all, he was still at the top of the list and that had to mean something. Even if the girls planned on vehemently denying that fact, it was still a fact and Braden was quite determined to make something of it. At the very least, he needed at least one moment of awesome for the day.
Braden definitely wasn't liking the way that this chick was coming in and acting all high and mighty, since that was totally his job. And there was no way he was giving up the duty over at the Pitch, especially not if that meant being forced to hang out with Alex. "Nah, nah. That's not going to work for me. I'm patrolling the Pitch, so you kids can go someplace else. That's my job," he insisted. This was something that he didn't intend to take no for an answer on. Whatever they wanted to do was their business, but Braden wasn't going to let them take the cool place. Besides, it wasn't like they could really stop him from doing whatever he wanted. He was older, after all, and his job wasn't exactly at risk if he didn't listen to whatever some kid was saying.

Alex was just about done with the whole situation. Braden grated on her nerves more than just about anyone and there was no way in hell that she could be around him for the rest of the day without being driven to do something violent towards him. Not to mention, the other two girls weren't exactly going to help matters anyway. Alex didn't have anything against them specifically, maybe, but that didn't mean she was particularly fond of them. In general, spending the day around anyone at all would probably incur quite a bit of irritation on her part. The number of people she could stand to be around for more than a few minutes was slim, let alone having to spend the entire damn day around them.
So, when she was given the opportunity to get away, she was absolutely going to take it. She most definitely objected to being paired up with Braden and was about to detest to that quite vocally, but then Braden spoke up and took care of that for her. If he was going to be an annoying ass and go off and bother them or do his own thing, that was absolutely fine by Alex. This way, it was both his fault and she got what she wanted. It was quite perfect for her, really. "Yep, I like Rose's plan. I'm off," she nodded, agreeing hastily to it before she changed her mind or something. Getting up from where she was sitting, Alex made a quick exit from the group, walking off towards the other tents to pretend like she was on security duty or something.

Frankie nodded her head in agreement that they should split up. She glanced at Alex and Braden to see if they agreed and was glad to see that they did. They, like Frankie, probably couldn't wait to go to do their own thing. It was clear that the four of them weren't going to work as a group, splitting up was definitely for the best. Alex was the first to leave, which didn't surprise Frankie at all, actually it was kind of funny how fast she high tailed it away from them.
Frankie was about to set off following Rose when Braden declared that he would be the one to patrol the Quidditch pitch. Personally, Frankie didn't care what he did, she was pretty sure everyone would end up at the pitch to see the game later on so she wasn't overly fussed about where she patrolled. It wasn't like they'd miss out on much by having to patrol elsewhere. "Yeah, sure, whatever" she brushed the male off and headed over to Rose. "Come on, let's go."
