Admittedly, the last place that Ari really wanted to be was the school. When there were so many other options of where to spend her time after a rather amazing match on her part, it was kind of a drag that she had to go to the school's ball. However, as an official professor, they had requested that she show up to look after the kids and keep them from doing something stupid. Hah. Ari was more likely to be getting wasted with the kids than she was to be taking the alcohol away from them and stopping them from doing what they wanted. She definitely wasn't the best example of a chaperon, but whatever. She'd show up, make her appearance, be bored for awhile and hopefully be able to leave to go off and party with the adults before she died or something. She did have some hope that at least one of the other professors might be there looking for a good time, but that was a fleeting hope, unfortunately. To be honest, she didn't even know most of the professors yet. Putting forth the effort was just too much to handle, so she really only knew the few that she'd met in passing or whatever.
Not particularly concerned with whether or not there was a dress code, Ari slipped into an outfit that she felt was at least somewhat appropriate. The dress was a lot shorter than it probably should have been, but Ari didn't care. She was all about lookin' hot and the fact that the students were there didn't bother her in the least. Obviously, it wasn't like they hadn't seen it all before in magazines or posters or what have you. Finished changing, Ari left from her room at the castle to walk over to the Great Hall. She honestly didn't know what, exactly, being a chaperon entailed, so she simply just melded into the crowd of students and made her way over to the table where they had the drinks. Honestly, she'd sort of been expecting there to be alcohol and she was slightly upset when all the drinks were completely alcohol free. This was definitely going to be lame. Not to mention, she didn't see anyone else over the age of eighteen that she could go flirt at and talk with. Yeah, this kind of totally sucked. Stupid professor job.

Jacob Bridges sighed, running his hands through his hair, then placing them down on the counter. He had just hopped out of the shower, his hair almost completely dry, and had finished getting dressed. He couldn't really imagine having fun at this event, but he was asked to do it, and since he respected his students, he decided he might as well. He turned around and walked out the door, quickly tapping his side to check that his wand was still in his pocket, and not lost where it normally ended up. As a charms professor, he certainly misplaced his wand as much as the first and second years. He was a very smart man, just often... scatterbrained. He sighed slightly in relief at finding his wand, and headed out the door.
He whistled quietly as he walked down to the great hall, passing a few younger students that weren't old enough to attend, but didn't feel like going back to their common rooms before curfew. He waved at a few students who said hello, and joked around with a few of the younger ones, being the people person he was. As he walked into the great hall, not knowing what to expect, he saw several large groups of students, and a few standing against the walls with one or two of their friends. He waved at a fifth year who called out to him, who immediately turned to her friend and giggled. He couldn't help but laugh to himself, trying not to let the girl see. He walked up to Ari, who was standing around, looking extremely bored, which didn't surprise him in the slightest. He walked up, and put his hand lightly on her hip. "Good evening, Miss Davies," he said, smirking slightly.

With a slightly irritated grunt, Ari accepted the lame drink of punch that one of the students offered her before turning back around to be on watch duty. Technically, Ari should have made a rather brilliant chaperon. Her heightened senses made it easy for her to see and hear everything going on around her, so if someone was doing something wrong, she would know it. However, that was offset by her complete lack of interest and generally scatterbrained personality and so nothing came of it. Besides, she didn't care what the students did. After all, back when she was in school she was probably just as bad, if not worse, than the majority of the kids in school today. It would be pretty damn hypocritical of her to tell them not to do the things that she did more or less every day of her life, so she let it slide and often even encouraged it. A role model, Ari was not, but she was a cool professor. She definitely made herself approachable enough that the students generally didn't have a problem coming to talk to her when they needed advice. Though, that probably wasn't the best idea, given the nature of most of her advice.
So, when she felt a hand slide onto her waist and a voice coming from behind her, she kind of assumed that it was a student. No one else called her Miss Davies, usually. Even most of her students had learned that she was fine with them calling her just Ari. Turning around from where she was standing, a huge grin rose on her face when she saw that it was Jacob behind her. He was definitely her favorite of the professors that she'd met and one of the few that she actually bothered to remember. "Mmm, Mister Bridges, hello," she said, her eyes flicking up into a flirtatious flutter. Turning fully around, she brought her hands up to rest on his waistline, not at all concerned with whether or not that was appropriate behavior amongst the students. "Any chance you're here to kick this party up some?" she asked, giving him a slightly hopeful, slightly daring look. As the professors, they probably should have just stood around and herded the students about, making them follow rules, but that just wasn't Ari and she certainly hoped it wasn't something Jacob intended to do either. She knew he took his job much more seriously than she did, but honestly, she doubted he'd turn her offer down. After all, she was Ari Davies, Quidditch Goddess and all around awesome.

Jacob was an extreme flirt. Anything that moved, he tried, and usually succeeded, to get with. All female attention was welcome, and if he wanted them back, there would be no stopping him. Jacob smiled as Ari greeted him, winking at her as she put her hands on his waist. He loved spending time with her, as she was one of the very few professors that he had anything in common with, as most of his peers were stuffy and frigid. But definitely, definitely not Ari, and Jacob absolutely loved it.
"Mister Bridges," he said, smiling a bit, "I like that." He winked, not caring if this was a bit too forward around the students. They were all big kids, they could get over it. And hearing around what they did in their spare time, they weren't exactly the innocent little angels the staff liked to pretend them to be. "A little fun sounds fantastic right now," he said hoarsely, putting a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "And how do you suggest we have this fun while down here, surrounded by students?" he asked, trying not to look too quizzical, but sincerely wondering what she was going to say.

Even if she generally hated her new job, Jacob was one of the things about it that she quite liked. He was a lot like herself and the team, since he was all for having a good time and didn't really follow the rules all the time. Certainly, his presence there at the school made it a bit more bearable overall. It still wasn't her favorite situation, but it wasn't as bad as it could have been. At least she knew that she had Jacob there to talk to after a long day of hell with the students, since he was quite understanding. Or, well, at least he was happy to hook up with her. That was really the important part of it. "Awh, it's not as much fun as calling you Jakey, but it'll do," she commented with a fake pout before looking up at him with a grin.
A sly look appeared on her face as he agreed to some fun, since that definitely would make the rest of the evening much better than she had originally been expecting it to go. "Who said we'd stay down here with them?" she questioned, raising an eyebrow in a rather mischievous glance. She wasn't sure if they were exactly allowed to leave the students there to their own devices, but there were probably other, more serious professors that would take over if they did end up leaving. "Just restocked my liquor cabinet down in my room," she said with a light shrug, a clear invitation that they just leave from the party to have an actual good time. "I'd say my stellar performance today at the match deserves a real party," she nodded, a pompous look on her face. Obviously, he should be quite concerned with doing whatever it was she wanted for the night.

Jacob chuckled, lightly tapping the underside of Ari's chin with his free hand, then placed it back on her hip. "Jakey?" he laughed, moving a little closer to her. "I haven't been called Jakey since I was a kid. Not that I don't like it, it's cute, coming from you. But I think I like Mister Bridges better," he leaned in slightly. "Sounds dirty." he smirked and bit his lip. Jacob loved flirting with Ari. It was convenient for him, as she was always in the castle, and she was really attractive.
He chuckled at her suggestion, smiling. "I say we leave, no one would miss us," he said, looking around at the kids around them. He saw a group of three six years, checking out Ari, which made him put his hand on her hip a little tighter. To the right of that group, he saw a few fifth year girls wave at him, giggling. "Yeah, let's go," he said. "What sorts of 'fun' do you have upstairs?" He was so ready to have fun tonight, even if it was just the two of them, which could possibly have made it even better.

Jakey definitely was a more childish name, but Ari was a childish person a lot of the time. However, if he wanted to be called Mister Bridges, than she certainly wasn't about to complain. "Well, Mister Bridges it is than," she commented with a slight shrug, smirking slightly as she did so. "So, Professor, what's on the agenda for class today?" she asked, raising an eyebrow in amusement. Certainly, the fact that he was a professor made it just that much more fun. Besides, having him more or less on call was pretty damn fun. Being the new girl in the castle amongst the professors was never easy, but Jake made it so it was a pretty damn sweet gig. He was fun for Ari to have there and since he lived in the castle, it was easy to just nip in and see him after classes or whatever the case was. It always made the few days she actually had to stay over at the castle much less difficult to deal with.
Although she disagreed with his suggestion that no one would miss them, she nodded her agreement that they get out of there. There were enough people around with their eyes on her that she was pretty confident that their leaving would be talked about for awhile, no doubt. She liked to think that she was famous enough outside the school that it translated to quite a bit of respect amongst the students for her skills and thereby a sense of admiration from them. Bringing her hands down, she grabbed onto Jake's hand and with a wiggle of her hips, turned around to lead him out of the hall and back down to her room. Turning her head slightly to the side, but only enough so that she could see him out of the corner of her eye, she gave him a rather impish grin at his question. "Well, Mister Bridges, you'll just have to find out when we get there, huh?" she said with a sly look. Honestly, there was no telling what state her room was in at the moment. More than likely, it was a complete mess and looked like a monster had torn it up completely. Which, wouldn't be too far from the truth.

Jacob chuckled at her. "Well, Miss Davies, on my lesson plan today is to get both of us completely shit-faced, and see what comes from there," he said, whispering the last few words near her ear, pushing a bit of hair out of the way. He couldn't help but think about how soft her hair was, and how good she smelled. As random as those thoughts were, they were nice to Jacob, which made him even more excited for what was going to come of that night.
As she grabbed his hand, his heart started to race a bit, and he smiled after she had turned around and started leading him through the corridors. As she turned around and smiled, he couldn't help but smile too. Merlin, she's so bloody hot, he thought. "Mmm, that sounds good to me," he chuckled. "Not one little hint, though? Just to get me by?" He bit his lip, with one eyebrow raised, his thumb lightly stroking the back of her hand.

There was no doubt in Ari's mind that the rest of the night would be much more exciting than the lameness that had already taken over at the ball. Clearly, getting totally wasted with Jake was way better than sitting around looking after small children and generally hating her job. "That, my dear, is completely okay in my book," Ari nodded, biting back a grin as he whispered into her ear. The feeling of having someone behind her, their hand on her waist and their breath on her neck was one that Ari loved more than anything. It was comforting, in a way. She certainly wouldn't consider herself a romantic, by any means, but she liked cute things like that. Sure, they didn't ever really mean anything serious to her, but that didn't mean she didn't like being taken out and treated like a princess all the time. She was, after all, a princess.
Shaking her head vigorously, Ari stuck her tongue out at him as they walked along. "Sorry, love. You'll have to wait," she said with a rather smug look. Of course, considering the fact that her room was just a few halls away, it wasn't like he had to wait too long. Pausing outside her door with a frown, Ari turned to Jacob with a rather determined look. "You stay here," she said, turning on her heel and entering into her room to see what it looked like at the moment. There were clothes everywhere and the bed looked more like a small huddle of blankets. Her sleeping habits sometimes were a bit strange ever since she started to change into a werewolf and it was pretty obvious that it wasn't exactly normal by the looks of things. Not to mention, there was a pretty large, rather raw steak on her night stand. A low grumble came from the back of her throat, a sign that she was quite unpleased by this turn of events. Exiting from her room again, she looked up at Jacob with a rather sadface. "Probably best we go to your place," she decided. She definitely didn't want anyone near her den at the moment.

"Mmm, good," he whispered, getting a bit closer to her, if that were even possible. "Because I feel like you, Miss Davies, will be a very, very fun drunk." Jake always thought getting shit-faced with a girl was fun, especially if she was as hot as Ari Davies. But something about Ari made this even more thrilling and exciting than he could've ever imagined.
As she turned towards her door, he laughed. "I don't know, babe, I get impatient really quickly. I could find another girl to party with by the time you get back," by the time she had gotten back, he was leaning up against the wall, arms crossed, in what he hoped was a very sexy manner. After she told him they were to go to his room, he shrugged. "Yeah, s'all good." As they were walking, he put his arm around her, and leaned in, pushing her hair back. "What's-a matter? Dead bodies?" he asked jokingly, winking at her. Finally, they reached his room, and he unlocked the door. He walked over to a cabinet in the corner and pulled out one of his several bottles of tequila. "Ayyy!" he said, unscrewing the top and taking a swig.
