Taking Kaiya’s hand, DC walked out of the Great Hall and outside. The good thing about the Ministry of Magic was that they hardly left an inch of the castle untouched by decoration. And while the inside was gorgeous, the outside gardens were simply breath taking, with twinkling background lights and soft music. He walked over to a clearing, with the girl in tow, and took a huge breath in. He absolutely loved the outdoors, the smell of grass and trees, and sharing it with Kai was definitely worthwhile. Turning to the girl, Dean Christopher flashed a lopsided grin. Well, what do you think? He looked up towards the pitch black sky, trying to make out different constellations. It’s absolutely beautiful. The sky too. Without moving his head, he looked at her to see if she caught that he was indeed talking about her.
Taking hold of her hand once more, he held it up and interlaced his fingers with hers. With their hands still clasped together, Dean Christopher reached up to brush a piece of blond hair that fell into her eye. This is quite nice. He whispered quietly, not wanting to ruin the mood with his sometimes thunderous voice. DC knew they were balancing dangerously on the edge of friends/something more, but he was thoroughly enjoying himself at the moment. He wasn’t exactly sure how he felt for Kai, considering she was one of his good friends, and he didn’t even know if she liked him in that way. So it was best if he kept his mouth close, reluctant to say anything that might ruin their friendship. Especially when Kai was his go to girl for help with homework, or advice for life.
Ahh, I probably shouldn’t be doing this. DC reached up with the hand that wasn’t around Kaiya’s to pick an eyelash off her cheek. He held the eyelash out to her. Make a wish. He waited to a few seconds. Did your wish come true? He laughed, and pulled her a little closer. While looking into her eyes, Dean realized that he had to be careful. He really didn’t want to take advantage of Kaiya, but he was treading dangerous waters. DC saw that she looked a little cold. Dropping her hand for a second, he took off his jacket and placed it delicately around her shoulders. Flashing her a smile, he took her hand in his again. Better. Are you enjoying yourself Miss Zeller?

Pinch me, I must be dreaming, is all that Kaiya Zeller could think of as she walked out of the Great Hall with Dean. Not only that, but he was holding her hand. Kai was mentally having a spasm. She was so nervous that she might actually be shaking like a small animal. The girl didn't understand though. DC was one of her close friends and she shouldn't be nervous around him. The girl took a deep breath in and cleared her mind. I think this is magnificent, she replied as her crystal blue eyes wandered, gazing at all of the decorations.
Kaiya flinched slightly when Dean brushed a piece of hair out of her face. She smiled though, happy that the boy was there with her. The floating orbs of light that surrounded them were gorgeous and the calming background music made the atmosphere around them seem peaceful and serene. The girl's blue eyes seemed to reach a new dimension of emotion. She had butterflies in her stomach and a certain sparkle in her eyes.
Kai raised an eyebrow as Dean picked an eyelash off of her cheek. That was odd. She smiled and closed her eyes when he told her to make a wish. The girl's mind soared around in all different directions, but she knew the single she wanted to wish for. I'm not sure, but we will find out soon enough, she said grinning. Kaiya shivered and Dean placed his jacket over her shoulders. The girl nodded. Much better. She paused for a second, How about you tell me if I'm having a good time? On that note, Kai did something that for her would be spontaneous. She leaned up and kissed him on the lips, placing a hand on his chest, but she quickly pulled away and looked down at the floor. I probably shouldn't have done that, she thought as she blushed, still looking at the floor.

Breathing in the chilly spring air, Dean Christopher felt completely at ease with the world, knowing that the most beautiful girl was standing in front of him. He didn't exactly know how he felt about her, but he wasn't going to let his thoughts and feelings ruin the moment. So for now, he'd just enjoy her company, especially outdoors; DC wasn't typically one for claustrophobic areas, specifically when hot bodies were rubbing up next to him. He enjoyed letting the cool air pass by his shoulders, covered by a thin formal shirt, while watching the glowing orbs of light float over the two of them. He couldn’t help but notice how the light washed over Kaiya in such a way, that it made her glow radiantly.
Turning his attention back to the girl, DC couldn’t help but to think it might have been a mistake to take her to his favorite clearing, as he watched her blue eyes intensify with emotion. Not only was he sharing his scared spot with her, DC definitely didn’t want to give her any ideas, especially when he didn’t even know what relationship they shared himself. A look of question passed upon his face when she mentioned that he would find out later. What the hell does that mean? How am I supposed to respond to that? He often wondered if the opposite sex thought that guys could read their minds, because they would pull little stunts like that, leaving him completely in the dark. Just so you know, if you wished me to go away, I’m still here. He laughed, as he recalled telling the same line to his brother numerous times.
Pondering for a few seconds as to whether he should start another dance with her, as the soft music in the background switched to another one of his favorite melodies, DC was shocked when he saw Kaiya start to lean towards him. Before he could react, her soft lips were on his, and he was sure she could feel his heart race under her lightly placed hand on his chest. Before he was entirely sure what was happening, Kaiya pulled away, a look of embarrassment crossing her face. In those few seconds, DC envisioned a possible future with her, them being the power couple of the school. And he liked what he saw.
Before he could stop himself, and not entirely too sure if he was acting under the influence of the two drinks he had, DC cupped his hand under her chin and lifted her face so her eyes met his. Ahh, I’ll probably regret this in the morning. He placed his other hand in the small of Kai’s back, and pushed her a little closer. Bending his face towards hers, DC paused inches away from her soft lips, and looked into her blue eyes, to see if there was any hesitation from her. Seeing that there wasn’t, or at least not noticing it, he kissed her full on the lips, more deeply and longer than she had dared to. Pulling back, with his heart in his throat, he smiled at the girl, hoping to ease any tension there might have been. Uh, well. The night’s still young. Do you want to do something?
