Hearing him say that she could take him wherever she wanted to afterwards made her quite happy, not that she wasn't already about going to the bistro. It was just that Dani thought he needed to get out more. He needed to get out and see the world. Often times she wondered whether or not Talan even had a social life of any kind. It would be absolutely horrible if he didn't. Thanks! That would be great. She scribbled quickly and took his arm seeing how she didn't know where the bistro was and it was quite easy to get lost at Hogsmeade. Oh, I hope so too. She wrote in reply. It would be such a shame for it to be raining or incredibly windy outside, especially since she had so much planned for today.

The look that appeared on Dani's face at his offer definitely made it a bit easier to fathom dealing with whatever plans she might come up with for the two. He wasn't sure what Dani would come up with, but he was prepared to deal with something that, inevitably, would drive him absolutely crazy. Giving her a bit of a nod before starting off towards the bistro, Talan was mostly quiet on the walk over. It was easier to stay quiet when they were walking, since it was a bit difficult to walk and write at the same time. At least, Talan would think it would be. Though, he figured Danielle probably had a much better grasp at that than he did. "It's right up here on the left. The one with the little tables out front and such," Talan pointed out as they got closer, letting Dani's arm drop from his when the reached the small bistro. Holding the door open, Talan waved his hand slightly, letting Danielle go in first. "Whatever you'd like, I'm buying," he commented as the door closed behind them and they were ushered up towards the front counter.

The bistro looked beautiful, so simplistic, yet so complicated at the same time. It took all the self control she had, not to start sketching the bistro. That would be embarrassing for both her and Talan, and she was quite hungry to be honest. She nodded in thanks as she walked past him and into the bistro. Dani tried her best to narrow down what she wanted to eat, but when she was hungry she would just eat everything she could get her hands on. It didn't help that there were so many things that sounded delicious. Do you have any suggestions on what I should get? She asked him, hoping he would be able to help her make her decision.

Fortunately for the two of them, Talan rarely had a problem with making decisions or hashing out suggestions. It was just something that he had come to be quite used to. "Ah, though the whole menu tends to be fairly good, I'd suggest the French onion soup. Always good," he commented with a decisive nod. Moving up to the register, Talan put his order in, looking back for a moment before also ordering the meal for Dani as well. "They'll bring it out to us in a few minutes. Where do you want to sit?" he asked, raising an eyebrow slightly in question. There were plenty of places to sit and it wasn't that busy yet, so really they had the whole place to themselves. Which, considering Talan's general dislike of most people, was probably a good thing.

Once Talan recommended the soup, she knew what she was going to get. She trusted him not to get her something absolutely disgusting and she had any other choice but get the French onion soup anyways. Dani would have spent a good hour standing there trying to make up her mind on what she wanted to eat. When he asked her where she wanted to sit, she started scribbling furiously. Well, I kind of want to sit outside, but if you don¡¯t want to, we could always sit at that corner table. There were so many things she could sketch while she was waiting for her food outside, but Talan was kind enough to take her out to lunch, so it would only be fair to give him a choice in where they were going to sit. Not that it would really make much of a difference anyways. Nothing really stopped Dani from doing whatever she wanted to do.

For Talan, just the simple power of being able to make the decision as to what the two of them were eating was something he loved. Power over anything was Talan's favorite thing in the world. Glancing at what she wrote, Talan gave her a quick nod of approval. Outside sounded fine to him. "That's perfect. We can head out and grab a table by the street. There's a comfortable enough breeze," he commented leading the way out to the tables. Holding the door open for Danielle, he let it close behind them before taking a seat. "The food shouldn't take far too long, I hope," he said, starting up some small bit of conversation.

As she stepped outside, Dani let a smile grace her lips. It was such a lovely day today and she was glad that she had left the castle. It would have been a shame to waste a day like this by spending it inside. She took a seat and placed her sketch pad beside her so she wouldn¡¯t forget where she placed it. I hope it doesn¡¯t take too long either; I¡¯m a bit hungry, though I wouldn¡¯t mind waiting a while. It¡¯s not like I¡¯m in a hurry to go somewhere, unless you are. Dani wrote in reply and gave him a minute to read it before she started writing again. So, have you done anything interesting lately? She asked, interested.

Even Talan had to admit that it was a pretty fantastic day out. Usually he was the type to stay bottled up indoors with his projects, but he was quite glad that he had agreed to go out for the afternoon. Perhaps it wasn't always so bad. Looking down to read over what Dani had written, he shot her a small smile. "Nah, I'm not too busy today. Rounds later, but that's not for quite some time," he nodded. It was rare that Talan was ever genuinely busy, which anyone should probably have known. He was just good at pretending like he had things to do. "Nothing really notable, no. Just my internship, mostly. How about you?" he asked, sure that she had been doing much more exciting things that he had been.

To say that Dani was glad that Talan didn¡¯t really have anything to do today was an understatement. She always enjoyed hanging out with him since he was one of the few people at Hogwarts outside her house that seemed to enjoy interacting with her. Though whether he was her friend because he pitied her or because he genuinely liked her, she didn¡¯t know, and honestly she didn¡¯t really want to know either. Why do you intern at the Ministry? Do you plan to become the Minister of Magic one day? Dani scribbled on the paper. She wasn¡¯t really interested in the answer, but she was being polite. Oh, I¡¯ve been going out with my friends a lot lately. We¡¯re planning to go to Spain. Dani wrote, giving him extra information that he didn¡¯t need to know or care about.

Leaning forwards slightly to read what she wrote next, Talan gave her a brief nod in response. In fact, that was precisely what he wanted to accomplish with his life. He was born a politician, pretty much, so it seemed only logical that his end goal would be working at the top of the Ministry. "Someday, yes," he added, leaving it at that. He wasn't big on talking about his future, quite preferring to keep most of that to himself. "That's good, though. Spain sounds like fun. It's a nice visit," he shrugged. He was fairly well traveled, so he knew quite a lot about quite a lot of places.

It didn¡¯t surprise her at all when he told her that he wanted to become the Minister of Magic. She had always thought that Talan enjoyed power and such. She wasn¡¯t sure whether he would be a good Minister or not but she was almost certain that he was going to achieve this goal one day. I know that you¡¯ll most definitely become the Minister one day. Dani wrote, but she was quite sure that he didn¡¯t need her tell him that. She was quite surprised that he had been to Spain before, but she hid it well. I do hope it is since I don¡¯t want to defy my parents wishes to go to someplace that isn¡¯t as interesting as it sounds. She wasn¡¯t necessarily going against their wishes, but they didn¡¯t really want her to go either. Though why she would tell Talan about this, she didn¡¯t know.

While Talan didn't mind the praise, he hardly needed it. He was confident in himself and was more or less positive that if he continued to work like he did, he would eventually reach his goals. He wasn't impractical in that he wanted it to happen right away. He knew better than that. It would take time and dedication, but it was something he was willing to put forth. "Ah, yeah. No, it's definitely worth the visit. Do you know where in Spain you plan on going?" he asked, rather curious as to whether or not he had been to the same area or not. He'd been to a few different cities in Spain, especially the biggest tourist places, so there was a decent chance that he'd been there.

Dani and her friends had discussed about where they wanted to go in Spain quite often and she could most likely name every city and tourist sight they plan to go see. Oh, the usual tourist places; Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, Santiago de Compostela, Bilbao, San Sebastian. I could continue listing places, but I don¡¯t want to bore you. She was quite excited to go to Spain and often times, she would be the one who would shout out cities she wanted to go to. Dani was just glad that her friends decided to go with her. For some reason she could never go on vacations by herself without feeling horribly selfish.

Talan nodded his head a bit as she listed off the places. He had been to a majority of them and definitely found them to be quite the bunch of interesting places. "Well, you'll definitely have a good time at any of those," he commented. It seemed like she would be gone for quite some time if she intended to tour the entirety of Spain. He was about to comment further, but the waitress came out with two bowls of soup, along with a plate of bread to share. "Thanks very much," he said, very politely, as she set it down with a smile. Taking his own bowl, he placed it near him on the table, setting his napkin in his lap and putting the spoon into the soup. Taking a bite from the warm soup, Talan gave an appreciate nod. "It's good."

She didn¡¯t doubt that she was going to fun in Spain. Dani managed to find fun places wherever she went and generally enjoyed many places. Usually she stayed home during breaks, but these days she¡¯s been finding her hometown to be quite boring, and she wanted to travel. Her whole life, she had only traveled two times, and both those times were to visit distant cousins that Dani didn¡¯t even know existed. Suddenly the waitress appeared with their meal, and she nodded in thanks. Too be honest, she didn¡¯t even realize how hungry she was until the good arrived. Taking her bowl, she placed it in front of her and made sure it wasn¡¯t too close to her sketch pad. Taking a sip of the soup, it took all of her self control to gush about how good the soup is. It tastes absolutely amazing! She scribbled quickly before continuing to eat.
