This will be the main thread for the couple's dinner event. Since there are going to be so many characters involved, it's going to be a fast-paced, short thread type of deal. You're always welcome to branch off into other threads, of couurse. Just tag that it's part of the event and you're good to go. <3

The last thing that AJ wanted to spend her evening doing was attending a stupid, Ministry sanctioned event. Being around loads of people in good moods just wasn't something AJ was overly fond of. At all. If it had been anyone other than Klayton asking her to go for a business reason, she would have flat out said no. Not to mention, it was the weekend and she had planned to spend the day doing absolutely nothing and hanging around her girlfriend's flat. Klayton was lucky that she gave a damn about the business that took place with the Death Squadron. Admittedly, she found it particularly irritating that he wasn't telling her what the job was and that he refused to let her take part, but she was willing to let it slide if it got her out of there faster. Hell, the faster the whole ordeal was done with, the better. Leaning up against the gate to the castle, AJ was sitting there in wait for Klayton to come get her, a bored scowl on her face. He damn well better appreciate all the effort she was putting into this for him.

Ari didn't really want to go to the couple's dinner, but it was kind of hard to pass up the opportunity to see people again. Though she was glad she had decided to stay away for awhile, it was harder to do that than she had originally thought. She really did miss everyone, but at the same time she felt that it was a hell of a lot safer for everyone if she just stayed in isolation. Besides, Africa wasn't so bad. There were elephants...and stuff, which was cool. Yeah, Africa was killing her. Ari wasn't the sort of person that dealt well with being isolated from the rest of the world, but she wasn't going to admit that she was miserable there. It was best if everyone assumed that she was having a great time and that she was exactly where she wanted to be. Apparating over to the Ministry, Ari moved to avoid the crowds of people, a thing that made her feel a bit on edge. Giving everyone a quick smile and a wave, Ari passed through the lines and into the event. At least being a celebrity gave her some benefits. Settling down at the seat she was assigned to, Ari kicked back to just wait for Bentley to show up.

Any event that had people was probably something that Aspen was going to absolutely love. People were pretty much her favorite thing, so any reason to get out and just have a good time with a bunch of friends was something that Aspen was more than happy to attend. Plus, she was going with Scott, which was always exciting. He was one of her best friends and being around him was always a fun time. She wasn't sure if this whole thing was considered a date or what, but she was glad either way just to be going. Honestly, she hadn't really been thinking about going until he had mentioned it to her. Dates had never been Aspen's forte, since she was still in the mindset that she had to wait for her prince to come along. However, this seemed like just a "two friends going to an event together" sort of thing for her. At least, that's what she thought. Waiting in the commons room for Scott to come down, Aspen was eagerly bouncing around in her dress. It was definitely going to be a good night.

If there was any reason to be going to the stupid Ministry event, it would most definitely be to cause trouble. Dani wasn't exactly cut out for any sort of official, classy dinner thing, that much was obvious, but going to disrupt it was definitely her style. Who better to accomplish that with than with Parker? They both had older siblings that either worked for the Ministry or planned to work for the Ministry, so causing a ruckus in their honour seemed only fitting. She rather doubted that Jordan would have much to say about it, but Talan most definitely would and irritating Talan was probably one of the most entertaining things you could ever do. Ever. He was such a grumpmuffin that almost anything could set him off. Not sure where she was supposed to meet Parker, Dani simply hovered around outside the Ravenclaw tower, a cigarette lit in her hand. Yeah, the Ministry was bound to love that one.

What should have been a simple event was quickly turning into more of a nightmare for Felicity. Due to the Harpies last win against the Arrows, there was a lot of hype around the team and especially around Felicity herself. As the captain and seeker, she was accredited with much of the win. Which, if she said so herself, was entirely true, given her amazing early capture of the small golden snitch. However, the security that they were hounding her with was absolutely and utterly ridiculous. She just wanted to spend the night there with someone from the team perhaps, bid on a few things for charity, make a good impression and leave. But no. She had to have an escort. At least that escort was Marcus. Though, she doubted that even Marcus would be able to keep anything from happening with Jordan. It had been a good five or six years since she'd heard anything from the girl and to know that she would be there and apparently quite determined to see her. Well. It was a bit troubling, to say the least. Apparating to the back end of the Ministry, Felicity was hustled into the building and to a back room where she was to await her escort.

Attending events such as this one was something that Thayne was quite used to. His family seemed to always be asked to attend and so, Thayne was forced to go along. At least he generally didn't mind the atmosphere of them, since most of them were classier and more low key. Though, how long this would remain low key was quite the good question, especially when he was attending the event with Sage. In general, if Thayne had to go to some Ministry event, he went with Sage. He didn't exactly do well with the whole "asking girls out" ordeal, so it was just easiest to go with someone he felt comfortable with. His parents approved, he was off the hook and usually he had a good time because of it. Tugging one of his suits on, Thayne adjusted it so that he looked decent enough and then made his way down to the commons room to wait for Sage. Whatever happened, it was bound to be quite the evening.

Ministry events were absolutely Talan's favorite thing to go to. Being around people of power and making connections were the things that he felt were necessary for success later in life and nothing at all came easier to him. Though he was less than charming on most occasions, he was able to turn on all kinds of charm when it came to these events. Honestly, it was as if he were a completely different person around that environment. So, when the news came that the annual couple's dinner would be taking place, Talan had been positively thrilled. Until he realized he had to go with Viktoria, that is. However, in a stroke of luck, he had been asked by someone else, Danielle Huntington, which was something he readily agreed to. Their parents probably wouldn't be overly thrilled by the idea, but at least she was a respectable replacement. His suit crisp and looking quite dashing, Talan was waiting in the hallway outside of the Ravenclaw tower so that he could accompany Danielle to the event. He had a rather pleasant smile on his face, which to anyone that had never seen him at a big function, was strange.

In the hours leading up to the event, Damien was straight up nervous. Not just nervous, but absolutely, positively, terrified. He knew that for Aislin this probably wasn't considered a date, but it was pretty much the closest thing that he had come to a date in, well, ever. Not to mention, though he would absolutely never admit to it, he had a bit of a crush on Aislin. She was one of those fun people that had similar interests to him and he couldn't help but just really like her a lot. Then she had told him that he was going to accompany to the couple's dinner and he had just about passed out. This was far too much for the poor boy to handle. As he was getting his tie on, his hands were shaking with his bundles of nerves and he had to fight to keep himself under control. He was looking forward to the evening, most definitely, but it was scary. When it was about time to meet her, Damien made his way over to the entrance to the Gryffindor tower and nervously started to pace about.

Under most circumstances, Jace didn't do events. He didn't wear suits, he didn't act friendly and he certainly didn't try to fit into the model of "Ministry event attendee". He was crude, rude and generally unfit to attend things like this. However, for Summer, he couldn't really say no. She was hot and Jace most definitely liked that. A lot. Not to mention, she was just as much of a bitch as he was and if anyone was going to make an evening like that worthwhile, she'd be it. Besides, there was free food and Jace was always happy to eat free food. Not opting to wear a suit like most people probably would be, Jace simply threw on a leather jacket. It was nicer than most of the shit he wore, so he figured it would work for the night. Sort of. Not doing much in the way of getting ready, Jace headed down to the commons room and leaned up against the wall to wait for Summer to arrive. Damn well better be worth it.

Since the whole thing with Frankie and the babies, Felix had been pretty much completely out of it. He didn't go out much, he rarely spoke to people and he only played Quidditch when it was absolutely necessary. So, when he heard about the couple's dinner, he had simply shrugged it off as just another useless event that he could skip out on. He'd much rather just sleep or hang out around the Hospital Wing than go out and do anything. It was just too much effort to go out. However, the last thing that he was capable of doing was saying no to Gabby. She figured it would be good for him to go out and he had reluctantly agreed to accompany her. For the most part, she was the only person that he really even talked to anymore. Dressing up in his best, Felix had gotten ready fairly early and moved over to sit outside the Ravenclaw tower. Slumping down into a sitting position against the wall, Felix's head was hung down as he waited for Gabby to arrive.

The absolute only reason that Remmington was going to the Ministry event was because her dadthing insisted that it would be a good experience for her. If it weren't for that, she most definitely would have turned Kendall down and just stayed at home to do something more productive with her time. However, her mother was quite insistent that she at least try and make her new dadthing proud of her and so Remy had reluctantly agreed to go. She was originally supposed to go as a bonding experience with her new brotherthing, but for some reason, Kendall had asked her to go. Honestly, she couldn't remember the last time a guy had actually asked her out on a legitimate date, nor did she understand why he had done so. She knew she wasn't exactly super friendly. However, she was much more open to an evening with Kendall than an evening with Scott. Sort of. Waiting outside the Hufflepuff commons room, Remmington was tapping her foot with an irritated rhythm. She was definitely ready to just go and come back without too much of a hassle. If that were even possible with Kendall.

Megan had been to more than enough Ministry events in her lifetime that it had come to be absolutely no big deal for her. She knew that for quite a few of her classmates, this was probably one of the few that they were actually welcome to attend, but for herself it was just another day in the life. Aside from the fact that it was a couple's dinner and for the first time in her life, she wasn't just going with a friend or random date that she chose on a whim. That more than anything was what weirded her out about the evening. However, she wouldn't say that she wasn't looking forward to it. In fact, she was quite glad that she was going with Peyton and not just skipping out on it. Having gotten ready for the event at her own place, Megan simply apparated over to the event to meet Peyton there. Cutting through the majority of the line, Megan entered into the large gala room to wait for Peyton by their table. She doubted it would be too long of a wait, so she stayed standing, the small of her back leaning up lightly against the table.

Sage looked at herself in the mirror and felt extremely underdressed. She was wearing a simple grey fitted thing, black flats, and her makeup was kept to a minimum, she also threw on a grey scarf and her glasses. For once she just didn’t want to wear contact lenses. She did have a budget for this event, though it sucked, she couldn’t go extremely overboard. She was glad she was going with Thayne, going with anyone else would have led to disastrous. She looked, for once, like a respectable young wizard. She assumed there were going to be pictures of the evening so she wanted to look good, not scary. Her mother would highly approve. She did, however, have her wand stashed her grey clutch purse. She made her way down to the common rooms to meet Thayne who was looking rather dashing in his suit. Sage wasn’t one for tradition anyway and Thayne in a suit beat Thayne in dress robes any day. ”Not one word about my outfit, or it’ll be the end of you.” she said, trying to hide the slight pink that had risen to her cheeks. What was she feeling embarrassed about? Her looks? Thayne had seen it all on her, but for some reason... tonight Sage cared.[/blockquote]

Aislin wasn’t nervous for this dinner in the slightest. She had a bag full of cold hard wizard cash that she intended to blow at this shindig. She had thrown on a very sexy black number that she knew for a fact would draw the attention away from any blonde bobble-head that’d try to out bid her. Her “date” for the evening was none other than Damien Whitby, who she assumed would be looking mighty fine in a tux. She slipped into her snappy little heels and took one last look at herself in the mirror. She grinned wickedly. It was time to out bid some bitches in a war Aislin wouldn’t lose. Exiting the Gryffindor tower, she giggled as she watched Damien nervously pace about. He had nothing to worry about, he just had to stand there and look pretty. This way she’d have some time with a close friend, and not get kicked out for crashing a couples only party. It seemed like a pretty good deal to her. She did wonder if he noticed her yet, as she smiled at her nervous friend
