Kendall stared wide eyed as the girl walked towards him, watching as she undid his tie and made it look nice. He definitely wasn’t expecting that, but the gesture was nice. Kendall glanced away when she started talking about her father. He knew things weren’t easy for the girl, especially with her new family, and from the looks of it, she was close to her dad. Biting his lip, Kendall thought about his own mother, recovering from a nasty fight with cancer. Oh. Right. He nodded his head at her compliment. Well, shall we head out of here? He started making his way up to the ground floor, making small chat. When they finally reached the grounds outside of Hogwarts, Kendall reached for Remy’s hand to apparate them over to the event hall. Well, we’re here. Not going to many events such as this, Kendall was unsure as to what they should do next.

Nodding when he asked if they should leave, Remmington was definitely ready to get out of there. Though, she couldn't say that where they were going to end up was going to be any better than hanging around in the hallways of the castle. Odds were, she disliked the majority of the people there, especially considering the fact that Scott was going to be there and they were probably expected to interact in some way. Just perfect. Arriving at the hall where the event was to take place, Remmington was rather shocked to see the sheer number of people that were there. Shocked, and horrified that she had to spend the evening surrounded by that many people. "Well, yeah. I guess we're here than," she shrugged, not sure what else there was to say. They were probably supposed to go find their seats or something, maybe? To be honest, she had absolutely no idea, since she very rarely bothered with big events where there would be a ton of people. "So, what do you want to do?" she asked, looking over at Kendall with a raised eyebrow.

A hopeful and happy smile lit up Gabby's face when Felix spoke. Sure he didn't sound and wasn't acting like his usual self but at least he was making an effort. Which, as far as Gabby was concerned, was a very good sign. Brushing an annoying wisp of hair from her face, Gabby moved to join Felix as he jumped and began to head down the stairs. "Ah, I've been good. The constant parties, getting drunk and running around the castle in the nude, have helped. You should try it, it's very liberating you know." she half grinned and then shrugged her shoulders, becoming a little more serious. "I've just been busy with school and my head girl duties and... school work" She explained, realizing that her life must have sounded absolutely boring. But she liked school and she liked being head girl and sure over the last few months she'd been throwing herself into her work after the whole kidnapping ordeal, as a form of distraction. But lately she'd been dealing better with it all. Some of it was down to the fact that she'd been so concentrated on being a good friend for Felix. Worrying about him meant that she hardly had the time to worry about herself and her own fears and problems.
"How's the team?" she asked. There was no point in asking how he's been as of late. She already knew, you didn't have to be a genius to figure that out.

Summer couldn't help but smile at Jace's comment. Yes, her mother would probably throw a fit if she knew that she was attending formal events, events where there would be high and influential wizards attending, with Jace Carlile at her side. Of course that was the very reason Summer had asked him to go with her. Why should she always have to conform to what her mother, father and fellow peers thinks is right? She had already sacrificed so much of her original self, of the kind girl she used to be, before she was sorted into Slytherin. Before everything changed. So yes, maybe asking Jace to come had been a sort of 'Fuck you' to all the people who expect better from her. But it wasn't the only reason. Jace Carlile was sexy, very sexy and Summer loved the bad boy aspect of his personality. So it all worked well in her favor.
A smug smile graced her lips when commented on her being able to get into the event straight away. She shrugged, It was nothing really. Just the norm for her. "Oh, you know, network, eat, drink. It's actually rather boring." Another reason why she'd asked Jace to tag along. Having him as her date might make the night much more interesting and bearable. "Of course, if you have any ideas to make this night more fun, then please let me know." she grinned playfully.

Felix could tell that Gabby was trying to help cheer him up and he appreciated it quite a lot. The happier he could find himself feeling, the less time it would take for him to get over everything that had happened. He doubted he would ever completely get over it, but at the very least he would be able to move on from it and try to forget. The humour on Gabby's end was also quite appreciated and Felix cracked a bit of a smile. "Crazy life as always. Good to know you haven't changed," he replied with a soft chuckle. It really was good to know that Gabby was the same Gabby that she had always been, pretty much. At least something had to be consistent in his life and she was it.
At her mention of the team, Felix shrugged a bit. "It's been better. Erinn is like a fullblown psychopath nowadays, so I don't think she'll be coming back and everyone else has been pretty glum. I don't know," he replied, his hopes about their chances sinking pretty low. Reaching the exit of the castle, Felix started to head out towards Hogsmeade so that they could floo over to the Ministry. "Guess a winning streak for the lions was too much to ask for," he added with a sour note to his voice. Quidditch was the one thing he could throw himself into, but everyone else had just been falling away from it what with everything going on with their housemates. Felix hated it more than anything, but there wasn't much he could do about it.

Bentley knew that Ari was a tad uncomfortable, especially after being isolated from everyone for quite a while. But she was glad that Ari did come. Thank you! She nodded her head in excitement. Pausing to looking around at the unfamiliar faces around them, Bentley thought about the question. She honestly thought it was just an event to eat, and then the two girls could go home. Other than that, Bentley didn’t have an agenda. She pulled out a chair to sit next to her date, before addressing the question. Well, I came from practice, so I’m starving. Let’s eat! She nodded again, hoping it was the answer Ari was looking for.

Here she was, being the typical Aspen, and Scott was just being a grump. It was unfair for him to ruin her night, so he lightly smiled at her, trying to put his bitter feelings aside. Good, good. The way he saw it, the sooner they got there, the sooner they ate dinner, the sooner they came home. Simple really. He glanced at his shoes, a frown tugging at his lips. His father demanded Scott had a least one dance with his step-sister tonight. Uh, yeah. We’re going to meet up with Remy and her date later, if that’s okay with you. Thank merlin the Finch-Fletchery boy asked Remmington before he had the chance to. Dancing with the girl was one thing, but if he had to spend the entire night with her, Scott would die. Well, if you’re ready, we’d best be on our way. Wouldn’t want to be late, ya know. He led her out of the room.

However, when Dani asked what the plans were, he stopped. Oh, I thought you would have thought of that. He felt stupid, realizing that he didn’t take the initiative to think of what they were going to do to Talan and Dani’s sister. Well, I suppose we should just go with the flow then. He nodded, as he quite liked that idea. Honestly, the boy wouldn’t have had enough patience to think of the tricks they were going to pull, and the best pranks came unexpected. He let the girl grab his hand, following her out to the grounds. Well, here’s to a great night. He thought, before apparating to the event hall.

She quietly blended in with the rest of Fel’s fans, awaiting the arrival of the Quidditch star, and when the moment came, Jordan saw it as her opportunity to get back into the woman’s life. Seeing Fel stop to sign autographs, Jordan pushed herself off the wall, and made her way over to the mob surrounding the player. Obviously Felicity couldn’t refuse to sign an autograph for Jordan, not with all these reporters and fans watching. Oh Felicity. She sang out to the star, waving her arm a tad. Would you be a doll and sign this for someone very special. She grinned, as she weaseled her way into the crowd so she was standing by Fel. Gotcha. The woman had no choice but to talk to Jordan.

It was definitely hard for Ari to hear that Bentley had just gotten back from practice, since that was the thing she probably missed most about being away. Quidditch really was her one passion in life and it wasn't easy not being to play with her team every day like she used to. "Yeah, okay, sure. Food sounds good," she agreed with a bit of a nod. Eating sounded easy enough. That didn't require her to move around and socialize with a ton of people and maybe after that she would be able to make an early exit from the place without too much of a commotion. "So uh, how've you been?" she asked as they turned to the table. As with any magical event, it was a self-serve sort of thing and you simply stated what you wanted and it would appear a few moments later on the plate in front of you. Knowing the full moon was coming closer, Ari ordered a particularly raw steak. It certainly wasn't cooked to the point where any normal human could digest it, but it was perfect as far as Ari was concerned,

Scott still seemed kind of down, which troubled Aspen quite a bit, but it also just made her more determined to find a way to cheer him up somehow. "That sounds perfect. Kendall and Remy are a lot of fun!" Aspen grinned. She had a feeling that Scott probably disagreed about that, but she quite liked the two of them. Even if Remy was a bit grumpy sometimes, Aspen didn't have a problem with her. "Yeah, let's get out of here," she nodded, following along with Scott to head out towards the exit of the castle. She had a cheerful grin on her face and was quite excited to see where the night led the two of them. After all, what could be more fun than spending the evening all dressed up and with a bunch of good friends?

Dani sure as hell didn't have a problem just letting things happen however they may. Really, she wasn't much good at planning things out anyways and she had always been the spontaneous type. That was definitely one of the reasons why she liked Parker, since he was a lot like that as well. Apparating the two of them to the event hall, Dani looked around at all the people with a smug grin. They all looked so happy and Dani knew that somehow they would find a way to ruin said perfect night. It wasn't out of meanness she was doing it, but simply because she thought it would be kind of funny. Walking into the event, Dani was pretty bummed to see that nothing fun was going on. "Huh. You know that weird statue down at the front of the Ministry? We should go paint it or something," she nodded. That sounded like fun and it would definitely get a great reaction from the Ministry when they found out. Not to mention, everyone was at the event and wouldn't bother them while they worked on it.

Working quickly through the autographs, Felicity retained her cheerful smile throughout the process. However, as soon as she heard a rather familiar voice calling her name, the smile faltered and turned to a momentary scowl. Jordan. Of course she would pull something like this and corner her where she literally couldn't just ignore her. "Oh, of course, hun. And who should I make this out to?" she asked, faking her most charming smile. If Jordan wanted to play that game, than Felicity would be more than happy to five it a go. She was fairly cunning herself and it would take more than just a public encounter for Jordan to get whatever the hell it was she wanted from her. "It's not going to be that easy," she commented as she leaned in towards Jordan, her voice a low growl so that only Jordan would be able to hear her.

Klayton finally stopped focusing on his personal mission and started focusing on his date. AJ, I need to get my guy first. But if you kept trying to stop me, then it will take even longer. There was a certain growl in his voice. To say the least, Klayton was irritated. The man should’ve been here already, as he was an important figure to the Ministry. Hm, let’s sit down and eat first, I suppose. He reached out to escort AJ to their assigned table, all the while looking for the man. Normally, he was calm when it came to assassinations, but something was different. It was as if this man made Klayton crazy. When he closed his eyes, all Klayton could see was the man murdering his brother in cold blood. It was as if something was possessing him, and it wouldn’t go away until the man himself was dead. Upon reaching the table, Klayton pulled a chair out for AJ to sit, and then moved over to his own seat. He glanced around the table at the other dinner companions and tensed up immediately when his eyes reached a familiar face. AJ…

It seemed like Klayton was doing his absolute best to try her patience, which AJ definitely didn't appreciate. The fact that she was putting off her night in with her girlfriend for this crap just wasn't fair, obviously. "I'm not trying to stop you, I'm just trying to keep you from doing something that could get you thrown in Azkaban," she commented with a shrug. She was just doing the man a favor and he didn't appreciate that, clearly. Following Klayton over to take a seat, AJ nodded slightly when he pulled the chair out for her and then sat down, pulling the chair in towards the table. Her eyes flickered up when he said her name, something obviously wrong with the situation. Tracing his line of vision, AJ's eyes rested upon an older man. She didn't have a clue who that was, but she had a feeling that Klayton might. In a situation like that, it would be foolish to try anything to get at the man, so they needed some way to lure him off somewhere else. Giving Klayton a subtle nod of understanding, she leaned over towards Klayton so that no one could overhear them. "You need to get him away from here. Any ideas?" she asked, her tone taking on a business-like feel, even if she was just whispering.
