Of course, Sage wouldn't let the boy get away without getting him to turn all different shades of red. Quite honestly, Thayne didn't know why it made him so nervous when Sage mentioned his being a boyfriend at some point in his life. It wasn't like he was against the idea. It just made him nervous. "I ah, well, thank you," he nodded, rubbing at the back of his neck anxiously. His nerves, however, were quickly done away with when Sage mentioned the killing curse. However innocently it may have been said, it sparked a look of disapproval. "Yes, definitely. Very much illegal. We're not going to be doing anything of the sort tonight," Thayne nodded, quite serious about the situation. The killing curse wasn't something that Thayne would take lightly at any point. "Hey, maybe you are learning something," he joked before taking her hand and apparating them over to the Ministry building. They reappeared outside to a rather long line to get in and Thayne started them over towards the end of said line so they could wait to get in.

It had been five years, nine months, twenty-six days, and four hours since Jordan had last seen her former lover. Not that she was counting or anything. Of course, Jordan kept up with Felicity in the papers, and occasionally, she even attended Felicity’s matches. But it just wasn’t the same as seeing her lover in person, and Jordan was going crazy. Ever since Fel told her almost six years ago that they could no longer see each other, Jordan had made it her mission to make the exact opposite happen. And with the annual couples’ dinner and appreciation auction finally here, Jordan had her perfect opportunity to meet up with the girl again. Her plan was to take the star by surprise, perhaps ask for an autograph in front of all the reporters. Surely Felicity couldn’t say no to her without ruining her own reputation, and from there, Jordan would be able to weasel her way back into Felicity’s life. A good plan indeed, that simply needed to be taken into action. Apparating to the great hall where the event was located, Jordan simply walked up the steps into the room. She didn’t have a formal date, as her date was currently being escorted by a man. But that would change soon enough, as Jordan always got what she wanted.

Seeing Parker round the corner, Dani took a last drag from her cigarette before flicking it on the handrail to put it out and toss it onto the floor. Clearly, she didn't give a fuck that she was technically not supposed to do something like that. "Oh, I am so ready," she nodded, an eager grin on her face. Obviously she had put quite a bit of effort into the night, since she wasn't currently stoned in the least. That didn't happen very often, so it meant a pretty big deal. Reaching over to take Parker's hand, Dani started to lead him out of the castle so that they could get somewhere where they could apparate over to the Ministry. "Any plans in mind, or are we just going to destroy all the things?" she asked as they started to head down the stairs and towards the exit of the castle. She hadn't made any specific plans herself, just figuring they'd go with the flow once they got there.

Not entirely sure where, exactly, she was supposed to meet up with Marcus, Felicity made her way into the general seating area. As was the case with most everywhere she went, there was a huge crowd that were trying to get to her for autographs, pictures and whatever else struck their fancy. This was definitely the sort of time where she would have been more than glad to have someone there to help hush the reporters and get her to her seat safely and without the issue of crazy fans. However, Felicity did have a reputation to protect. Sending Marcus a message to meet her in their seats, Felicity set about to deal with the press. Walking in, she stopped for each of the reporters, giving them a quick word, a few pictures and always a smile. Then came the fans. There were always a good number of them, which she generally didn't mind, but it would definitely take quite some time to get to her seat if she had to attend to them all. Of course, never the one to disappoint, she was prepared to do just that. She had definitely been looking forward to a bit of a calmer night, but that was clearly not in the cards for her. Never was.

viktoria was nervous but then again she wasn't. she was going with someone that she felt completely normal and comfortable around; he didn't treat her differently because of who she is, that was one of the many things that she absolutely loved that about jayden. viktoria was dressed in a short dress; different from everyone else. she didn't really like long dresses and she liked to be different and wear a short dress. plus she always ended up tripping over the dress when she walked. vik put on a pair of black heels before leaving to see jayden. she was short enough so that it wouldn't seem weird when they stood next to each other. she waited for a good five minutes before realizing that he was probably waiting outside of the common room and was perhaps a bit to nervous to go up to the ravenclaw tower. she left the common room almost immediately, she was overly excited for the dinner to come. when she first saw jayden standing there she couldn't help but smile. jayden, she sighed happily and walked over to him. you... uh... you look really nice... i've never seen you in a suit, it's nice. she ran her hand through her hair nervously, she wasn't as nervous as he was but she was pretty nervous.

It was unclear to Kendall why he even bothered asking Remy to accompany him to the Ministry dinner. They both knew that the idea of a friendship between them would most likely never work, and yet here he was, still trying. Something about the girl just made he want more, made him want to know her more, just be around her more. He couldn’t quite explain it, but Kendall was definitely drawn to Remy like no one else. And she was going to kill him for being late. Rushing down the stairs, into the dungeons, Kendall hurriedly walked over to where the Hufflepuff common room was located. Immediately seeing her, Kendall began to apologize for his tardiness. I’m so sorry. I couldn’t figure out how to tie my tie. It was the truth. The boy had never been to a fancy event, and didn’t know what the proper attire was. Thankfully he did have some friends who could guide him in the right direction as to what was appropriate dress for occasions like this. I’m so sorry. He muttered, hoping she didn’t hate him too much. Kendall knew that Remy’s tolerance for the boy depended on the day, and he seriously hope he didn’t ruin his chance at her liking him today. You look nice by the way. He didn’t know how she would react to a compliment, but Kendall decided it would be best to not focus on the fact that he showed up late.

Hearing the hurried footsteps come from down the hall, Remmington pivoted towards them with a rather irate look on her face. If she was going to give Kendall the honour of going with her, the least he could do was show up on time. However, when he started to instantly apologize and give the excuse that he had no idea how to tie a tie, Remy bit her lip from saying anything too harsh. Stepping forward, she tugged at his tie, undoing it so that she could fix it really quickly before she let go, lightly pushing him back into place. "I used to do my dad's whenever he went out to a big event," she nodded, her eyes dropping for a moment before looking back up at the boy. "Thanks, you look uhm, good too," she added, nodding a bit as she spoke. That was quite possibly the nicest thing she had ever said to Kendall. Clearly, she was improving. If only slightly.

Dani wasn't quite sure why she had agreed to go with Talan to the Ministry dinner. He was already in an arranged marriage with Viktoria and being his date for tonight wasn't a particularly smart choice seeing how she was trying to make them like each other. But she had agreed, so she was going to go through with it. It was too late to back out now anyways. Staring at the mirror, Dani looked for flaws in her appearance. She wanted to look nothing but the best for Talan seeing how she didn't want to embarrass him. Dani pulled at her at her dress one last time and stepped outside the common room. When she spotted Talan, she gave him a large smile. I'm late aren't I? I'm sorry. Oh, do I need to write at the event or do you just want me to stand and smile? Dani wrote quickly, not wanting to waste anymore time. You look quite handsome in that suit by the way. She added with a small smile.

Lily Potter could not count how many times she had been to an event like this, and yet the couples’ dinner seemed to have a different feel to it. Perhaps it was because her entire family wasn’t going to be there, and so they wouldn’t get an entire table just for themselves and their numerous body guards, or maybe it was because Lily was going with someone she actually liked. Whatever the reason for making this a different event was, Lily could actually say that she was quite excited for the dinner. She just needed to relax and have some fun, and who better to do that with than her very best friend, Wolfie? When those two were together, it was as if nothing else mattered. Wolf was the type of person who could tell when Lily is lying about how she was doing, and she can tell her just about anything. So really, it made sense for him to be her choice of date for the night. Currently, Lily was sprawled out on the couch in the Gryffindor common room, awaiting the arrival of her date. Even though she was quite excited to get the night started, Lily was in no rush whatsoever. If she’s seen one Ministry event, she’s seen them all, and was more so letting Wolf enjoy the experience of what was just a typical day in the Potter household.

Glancing herself over in the mirror, Hallie gave herself a weak smile as she lightly placed a hand over her stomach. The nervous flutter of butterflies only made the reality of the situation more real, as she finally realized that she was going to an event at the same place where she had broken up with Braden a few months prior. And evidently, something always went wrong for the girl at these Ministry events, so why she continued to bother showing up was indeed a mystery to her. She shook her head, willing for her thoughts not to go back to that. Whatever was in the past, well, that’s where Hallie wanted it to stay. For now, she wanted to focus on having an amazing night with her date. Ready as she’d ever be, Hallie made her way down to the dungeons. Seeing that she was a bit early, she decided it would be best for her to just wait on a couch inside the common room, while ignoring the stares from the younger years who didn’t like her.

When Gabby stepped out from her common room, dressed and ready for the night ahead, her eyes immediately fell to the blonde male sat with his head hung a little ways down the corridor. The sight made her heart sink and any sort of excitement she'd been feeling for the night ahead vanish. It was hard to feel happy and or excited when her best friend was clearly still suffering over his loss. Pressing her lips into a tight line, Gabby nodded her head, knowing that she needed to be strong for the both of them. Her being visibly upset over Felix's depression wasn't going to help. Acting like herself and bringing some normality back into his life would. At least she hoped it would. It was why she'd coerced him into coming out tonight, so that he could get out of his dorm room and do something that wasn't attending classes or playing quidditch. Getting out of the castle and doing something different was sure to help. "Hey, you comfy down there?" gabby teased, determined to act as normal as possible. "come on, we should get going." she said, not wanting to hang around longer than needed. Felix might change his mind and that wouldn't do at all.

It wasn't long of a wait before Danielle came out from the commons room to meet him. He greeted her with as warm a smile as someone like Talan was capable of and walked forward to read the note she was writing him. Waving his hand, he signaled that it was perfectly fine she was a tad late. Admittedly, any sort of lateness bothered Talan, but he wasn't going to be rude to Danielle, of all people. "You're perfectly welcome to talk if you'd like to. It would be rude to keep you from being yourself," he nodded. Perhaps this would be even better for his image than going with Viktoria could have been. Helping a mute friend for the night? Sounded like the perfect excuse not to be with Viktoria and Talan was quite ashamed that he hadn't thought of such a plan on his own. "And you look beautiful in your dress, as always," he replied with a charming smile. Compliments like that would have to roll off his tongue for the night, that was for sure, but Talan was more than ready to step into that role. Offering his arm out for the girl, Talan nodded his head towards the exit. "Shall we?"

When Felix heard Gabby's voice, his head flicked up to see her standing just a few feet away. The fact that he hadn't even heard her coming disturbed him slightly, but he brushed it off as just another weird occurrence. He was fine. Mustering up a soft smile, Felix nodded in response to her question. Of course he was comfortable. Why else would he be down there and not bouncing around like his usual self? Ah, yeah, yeah. Let's get out of here. We've got a dance floor to tear up," he said with a much brighter smile than before. Perhaps this would end up being the best thing for him that night. Though, there was a box of cauldron cakes and some muggle action movies in his dorm waiting for his return, just in case. Hopping up from the ground, Felix waited for a moment for Gabby to get closer before turning about to head on down the stairs. "Err, so, how have you been?" he asked, looking over at her with a searching gaze. He hoped that at least one of them was enjoying themselves.

Once Peyton had arrived at the Ministry event she'd headed straight for the womens rest room in order to check herself over and calm her warring nerves. It wasn't often that Peyton Cauldwell ever felt nervous. At least, not as nervous as she felt now. Normally, she was a woman full of unwavering confidence. It took a lot for her confidence to be shaken so fiercely, but Megan had always had that effect on her. Luckily the seventh year Slytherin was an excellent actress. So although she felt like a nervous wreck on the inside, on the outside she was just as composed as ever.
Checking herself over in the large mirror above the sinks, Peyton lifted her head high and mentally told herself to stop being such a scared little kid. Sure tonight was the first time she and Megan were coming out as a couple but that was no reason to feel terrified. At least that's what she kept telling herself as she exited the ladies rest room to search out Megan. It didn't take long to find her fellow Slytherin and as always, her heart did an annoying little double skip when her eyes took in the sight before her. "Hi." she said a little breathlessly, silently cursing the girl before her for the power she unknowingly held over Peytons emotions.

Although she hadn't initially been too nervous about it, the longer she stood there waiting for Peyton, the more anxious she became. It wasn't like she had never been to an event with Peyton before, so she really had no reason to be nervous, but technically things were different. Even if it was just a simple label on things, it was entirely different for the both of them and it wasn't the easiest adjustment to make, especially not for Megan. However, as soon as she saw Peyton coming from across the room, her worries were all but forgotten. It was pretty difficult to concentrate on that aspect when she was more excited just to see the other girl. How something like this had happened to Megan Aldridge herself, she'd never know. For ages she had been adamantly denying any feelings of any sort towards Peyton, but there they were. Dating. Even just the word was enough to set Megan on edge. "Hey, babe," she replied, biting at her lip as she looked over at Peyton. "You look...you know, good," she added, shaking her head a bit at how stupid she sounded. Fuck Peyton for making her sound stupid.
