Wandering through the crowds, Klayton wouldn’t stop until he found the man that held his interest. After years of trying to find that bastard, and then after months of actually stalking him, it all came down to this night. This would be the night that unidentified man would finally get what he deserved, with all of these couples as his witnesses. Focusing so much on trying to find the elderly gentleman, Klayton entirely forgot the purpose of the event, and why he invited AJ along in the first place. He stopped in his tracks as her voice drifted into his thoughts. Ohh, um, I guess we should act normal for a bit, so people don’t think we’re crazy. Not that he really wanted to stop his search, but Klayton did see a problem if he just went in for a kill. People would be suspicious, he was certain. Grabbing a champagne glass, Klayton brought it slowly to his lips, keeping his attention focused on the crowd of people before him, searching for the familiar face.

It was bit of a relief to know that Talan wasn't irritated yet. He wasn't terribly easy to get along with when he was in her opinion. Dani guessed that he was in a good mood because of the Ministry event and how many powerful and influential people he'll be able to meet. She was sure she would be happy about that too if she were into power and that kind of thing. When he told her that she could talk if she wanted to, Dani scribbled down a quick, Thank you, and smiled at his compliment. She was quite sure that she would be hearing a lot more of those tonight, not directed towards her of course, but towards the majority of guests at the event. Dani took Talan's arm with a smile. The girl just couldn't wait to arrive and start interacting with everyone.

You haven’t lived until you’ve taken a ride on a flying motorcycle. It was the most exhilarating feeling anyone could have. Aislin was a bit of a hazardous driver though, she had no speed “limit” and the faster the better. She was a safety hazard... but if you hadn’t picked up on it by now, you probably should review everything that’s happened around Lyn. Specifically the “random” explosions. ”Okay, yeah/ You know what, okay. Let’s ah, let’s do it,” he nodded. Aislin’s smile just grew as she pulled Damien towards her and her brothers makeshift garage. It was pretty much just a shack that was cleverly hidden and camouflaged with spells and charms. ”You will not regret this, trust me.”
She said pulling her wand out of somewhere safe and touching it lightly to the door knob. It recognized her wand, and her families wands, but no one elses. Things would blow up if anyone else tried. ”Watch your head, and don’t touch any wires” Aislin said as if it were no big deal in the slightest. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

wolf had never really gone to an event like this, he usually stayed in the castle or at home. he'd actually never been invited to an event like this. most of the girls thought that he was weird, having a stammer and all. he had a decent amount of friends to got with but they all had dates. he going with his best friend; he could tell her anything, meaning that he can tell her about him being a werewolf and the struggles and how sick he felt during that part of the month. she even helped him through the month which made him extremely happy, most people just said to suck it up. wolf was never able to tie his tie. it aggravated him so he just did a mental 'fuck it' and headed down to the common room. when he was down stairs all he saw was lily sprawled out on the couch, he couldn't help but laugh a little. liiillyyyy, and there goes his stutter once again. people thought that it was cute but he just hated it almost as much as being a werewolf. w-wer-r-e y-you w-w-waiit-t-ting f-for-r m-me? he had a sad expression on his face, he felt that they were going to be late and it was going to be his fault. c-could y-you hel-lp m-me? i-i'm h-hor-r-r-rible at t-this-s-s, he said, talking about how he couldn't manage to tie his tie.

Sage giggled as Thayne’s face turned three different bright shades of red all at once. She knew she could always get under his skin an good ways and bad ways. She was completely unaware as to why when she said anything about his singleness that he got all worked up. It was amusing though. ”I ah, well, thankyou,” he said rubbing the back of his neck. Sage shook her head and smiled ”You’re welcome.”
she said thoughtfully. Maybe she could suffer through a few minutes of her parents babbling for Thayne to have a break from her. Everyone needed a break from Sage at some point. ”Yes, definitely. Very much illegal. We’re not going to be doing anything of the sort tonight,” he said nodding, taking her quite seriously. Sage wasn’t about to kill anyone, and if she did she’d make it look like a complete accident... untraceable. ”You, sir, take the fun out of murder.” she said jokingly, rolling her eyes. No, there would be no death of anyone tonight. ”Hey, maybe you are learning something,” he teased and Sage felt herself laugh, but only a little. ”I happen to learn lots, I just ignore most of what you try and teach.” she joked. When he took her hand she was ready to go. As ready as she could ever be when she saw her parents. They were at the ministry building in the matter of seconds, and were currently standing in a rather long line. Thayne led them over to the end of the line so they could wait. ”Oh, joy, people are staring...” Sage muttered as she fixed her glasses and fiddled with her scarf. On a normal day she’d love the attention... but today was not a normal day. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Although AJ didn't want to say anything, she almost wanted to stop Klayton. Typically she could count on him to show the utmost professionalism when he was working, but tonight it seemed like something entirely different had come over him. He was paying no regard to the typical secrecy that they were supposed to show and just barging in to find someone. The guy wasn't even trying to blend in. As much as AJ was okay with their jobs, she was not at all okay with going down publicly for it. Nodding quite stiffly at Klayton, AJ more than agreed with that statement. "Probably just a bit. You look like you're trying to kill someone," she pointed out. Hanging just to the side of where Klayton was standing, AJ looked up at him with a slightly irritated look. "So, how long, exactly, am I going to have to be here?" she questioned. Clearly, it was past time for her to be leaving.

Giving Dani a brief nod, Talan turned to start leading the two of them down the stairs and out to the exit of the castle. It wasn't an overly long walk and they were there fairly quickly. Pushing through the door and out into the castle grounds, Talan was quite ready to apparate the two of them from the castle and so he anxiously continued to walk quietly over to the exit where they would be able to apparate. Once they reached it, Talan stopped and looked over at Dani for a moment. "Ready than?" he asked, nodding for just a moment before he closed his eyes and apparated them to the front of the Ministry building. There was already a huge crowd milling about the area, which Talan was definitely pleased by. He could already spot quite a few people of importance, but they could wait until he and Dani had settled into their spots. "So, what would you like to do first?" he asked, turning to Dani with a pleasant smile. It was an entirely different person that was there that night and it wasn't a side that many people got to see of Talan.

Although Aislin claimed he wouldn't regret his decision, Damien had to admit that he was sort of already starting to do just that. He knew how Aislin could get doing just normal, safe things, but to toss her into a dangerous situation was just asking to be killed. Pretty much. But...it was a flying motorcycle and he really did want to ride on one. Deciding that it wasn't often he would get a chance like this, Damien shook his head and followed closely behind Aislin. He really just hoped he came out of this alive. His eyes widened slightly when she mentioned that he should avoid wires, a warning that definitely concerned the poor boy. "Ah, right. Wires, of course," he mumbled as he trailed behind her. Perhaps this wasn't such a good idea after all. "There's a...we get helmets and ah, right?" he asked, tentatively. At the very least he wanted to avoid having his head pulverized, if at all possible. Though, the longer they were there, the more he started to question if that was even a possibility.

The fun out of murder. Thayne most definitely wanted to reply to that with a flurry of lectures about why, exactly, murder was bad, but he refrained from doing so for Sage's benefit. He was pretty sure that she was kidding about that, so he hoped that she didn't actually need a lesson about that one. Hopefully. Crinkling his nose when she told him that she ignored much of what he attempted to say, Thayne simply harrumphed in response. "That's ridiculous, since I have plenty of good things to teach," he nodded. Of course, he didn't expect much attention from Sage when it came to his life lessons, but that didn't stop him from trying. The attention on the pair of them didn't particularly bother Thayne, since he didn't really know many of the people around them, however it did seem to bother Sage a bit. Wrapping one arm around her, he pulled her closer in towards him to hopefully detract attention from them. As far as anyone else needed to care, they were just about pair of people there for the dinner. "Don't pay them any attention. They're just jealous," he commented as they started to move up in the line.

A slow and playful smile crept across Summer's lips at Jace's words and she nodded her head as if to say it was obvious that she looked hot but was grateful for the compliment. "Of course" she grinned and linked her arm through his to lead the way. "I still can't believe that you're coming tonight." Summer commented and sent a knowing sideways glance at Jace. Summer knew her slytherin peer well enough to know that these sort of events weren't really his scene. It was why she'd been surprised that he'd agreed to go with her. "Jace Carlile at a formal event, what is the world coming to." she mocked, a sly, teasing smile on her lips. The trip to the event didn't take long and when they arrived to a long line of people waiting to get inside, Summer simply walked to the front. "Excuse me. Summer Avery and Jace Carlile." she said simply and gave the doorman a look that told him to think twice about refusing them entry and sending them to the back of the line. When the door man stuttered and fumbled with his sheet of names, Summer briefly looked to Jace and gave him a subtle triumphant smile, before breezing past the male worker when he admitted their entry.

audrey had only been to a formal event like this once before and that was with her sister and it was more than dreadful. the event had been boring and dull, there was nothing to do plus it was full of old and professional people, no fun at all. but this time around she was going to be going with louis weasley, a friend of hers. it was awful just asking him, audrey was always shy and awkward when asking a guy out even if the person was a friend of hers. audrey really didn't know how it was going to turn out, she wasn't much of a talker but louis is. she just hoped that he didn't get bored of her and leave her alone by herself. audrey hated the idea of being ditched at the couple's dinner. it was weird, it was called a 'couples' dinner but a lot of the people going weren't even a couple, just friends or someone picked a random person to go with them. audrey was going to be forced to go by one of her friends so she decided to ask louis before she was going to be forced, but he asked her before she asked him, thank merlin for that.
audrey looked at herself in the mirror and fixed the placement of her hair and her dress until she felt satisfied with how she looked. she was wearing a nice strapless dress and heels. she felt like an idiot wearing heels and a dress but that was what the dinner was suppose to do; make her look like an awkward teenager. she never ever wore dresses or skirts except on special occasions. audrey left to go to the ministry of magic and was quickly there. she saw a huge line the second she got there, she quietly groaned and got in line. she wondered where louis was, but figured that he would be there eventually.

Although Louis hadn't originally intended to attend the event, he was definitely more than happy to accompany Audrey along to the dinner. He generally enjoyed himself when he went to different functions and he knew that a ton of their classmates would be there to make it all the more exciting. It wasn't going to be one of those boring, stuffy events where only the old people spoke and all the kids hung around in the corners. There would be plenty of fun, music and maybe even some celebrities that they could meet. Wanting to look his best, Louis had spent a good thirty minutes showering off and fixing up his hair so that he looked presentable enough to be a date. He wasn't sure if this was to be considered a date, but he had to at least try and look the part. Tugging at his tie to finish off his outfit, he hoped that he didn't look nearly as goofy as he felt. Pretty sure that he was going to be a bit late, Louis rushed out of the castle to floo over to the Ministry. Reappearing there, he walked out to look for Audrey, his eyes scanning the huge line that had started to accumulate. When he finally saw her towards the end of the line, his face lit up and he bounded over to greet her. "Hey, Audrey! Sorry I'm late! You look really nice," he said, grinning from ear to ear.

Even though this wasn't Jace's sort of thing, he had to be on his best behaviour for the night. He couldn't let Alfie win, obviously, so he had to act his absolute most charming if he planned to get anywhere with Summer. Yeah, his hopes weren't that high. Smirking when she took his arm, he started to lead them off to the Ministry. "Yeah, well, Summer Avery taking Jace Carlile to a place where people can see them. Just as weird," he commented with a playful shrug. He wasn't exactly the sort of guy that you'd want to bring home to mom and dad. He was rough around the edges, not the most sociable and his background wasn't at all the sort of thing that people like Summer Avery would want to be seen with. He was just another kid fathered by a guy that did whatever the hell he wanted.
When they got there, Jace started off towards the end of the line, jolting in the other direction when Summer decided to head to the front of it instead. He wasn't the kind of guy that could ever have gotten into the front of a line just by flashing his name around, but that was an entirely different story with Summer. She was the head bitch in charge and she got what she wanted. "That's impressive as hell," he commented when they got into the event hall. It wasn't a place that Jace had ever been before and he felt entirely out of his element there. "So, ah, what do people do at these things?" he asked, looking over at Summer with a raised eyebrow.

audrey felt more uncomfortable than usual in the short dress. it wasn't really short but it was short enough, a bit above her knees. she never ever wore dresses or skirts so this was a new thing for her, although occasionally she would wear the skirt with her uniform but that didn't count; she usually wore leggings under those. the second part that she hated about dressing up were the heels, she greatly despised heels, but she could walk in them perfectly. she just hated what they did to her feet after hours of wearing. audrey always saw girls around school wearing heels on a daily basis, she didn't understand how they could do that all day. audrey flattened the end of her dress to pass the time while she wondered where louis was. the second she thought about it louis was walking towards her. "hey, audrey! sorry i'm late! you look really nice," she smiled at him and nodded and spoke like her usual quiet self. hi, you're not that late. audrey was someone that loved using sarcasm whenever she got the chance. oh! thank you, you look nice too, not all that goofy. she spoke softly, which was her usual way of talking. she talked a lot on the computer but when it came to talking in person she barley spoke.

Giving her a wide smile, he nodded a bit as she spoke. "Aha, yeah. I probably should have message you to let you know I was running a bit late. Really sorry," he added, just to be sure that she didn't think he was a terrible jerk for having been late or anything like that. He appreciated that she took the time to assure him that he didn't look overly goofy, since he definitely felt it. There were so many other guys around that looked just really sharp in their suits, and then there was Louis. He felt like a kid trying to dress up in his father's suit. The line was moving fairly quickly, which he was pleased with and they were up to the front within a matter of minutes. "So, do we want to go grab seats or should we get out to the dance floor?" he asked, looking over at her with a grin. He wasn't too picky about what they did for the evening, since he was really just there to have a good time and accompany a friend out.
