Sage shook her head. She couldn’t just rebel against her parents, she had to make them proud of her. ”I think that in this day and age, it should be about what you want and not about... pleasing the family line and keeping old traditions alive. Things are changing and we should be too,” Thayne replied. Sage shook her head. ”I want to make my family proud of me... I just don’t want to get married!”
Sage said with a laugh. Thayne was right though. Things were changing and people had to change to. She couldn’t understand his reasons for turning to the marauders especially when they were hurting so many innocent people just because of something that had happened in the past. She just wanted to her family and friends to be safe. Luckily for them, they had a truce. They didn’t bring up either side, they didn’t tell each other what was going on unless one of them was at risk. Sage would be damned if she stuck to the code of secrecy if Thayne was going to get hurt. ”I’ll do what I can to keep you away from them. Certainly they can’t be too angry if you’re busy on the dance floor with myself, right?” he asked and sage felt herself laugh lightly. ”No, my family adores you... and you would do that? I know you’re not that big on dancing... I appreciate it, I really do.” Sage said, a weight lifted off her chest. She was smiling and back to a more normal version of herself. At least Thayne would always be there to be her knight in shining armour. "But really... can you even picture me as a housewife?" she asked curious as to Thayne's opinion on the matter [/blockquote][/blockquote]

That was entirely true. Damien had never seen a time where Aislin wasn't absolutely prepared for everything that she did. It was impressive, really, just how prepared she seemed to be for so many different things. His eyes widened slightly in surprise when she took his arm on the way out the door and it took him a moment to regain his voice before he could respond to her. "R-right, of course. I'll leave all your things to you, than," he nodded. The last thing he wanted to do was cross Aislin. That could be dangerous. Almost as dangerous as a flying motorcycle sounded. Though, that did sound like it would be a lot more fun that floo powder. "An ah...a flying motorcycle?" he asked, pausing before going much further. He'd seen a few models go through Dervish, but he'd never had a chance to really observe one in action. It could be a once in a lifetime chance for the boy.

Certainly, Thayne had to agree that Sage was far too young to be worrying about getting married. Perhaps that was the thing to do in the past, but nowadays getting married young had no purpose. It was best to get out there, start your life and meet someone worth spending the rest of it with. At least, that was how Thayne saw it anyways. "Of course I would do that. Anything for you, Sage," he nodded, giving her a reassuring smile. What was a few hours of dancing when he got to save Sage from the terror of her parents and wedding talk? Chuckling a bit at the image of Sage as a housewife, Thanye shook his head. "I think you could be one, but I don't think you'd be happy about it," he decided. Surely Sage could do whatever she put her mind to, but he doubted that she would be happy in the least if that were her future. Walking out towards the edge of the castle, Thayne paused for a moment. "Ready to apparate there, than?" he asked, just to be sure she was ready before he took off.

There was only one reason that Klayton would even bother to show up at a petty Ministry event. The person he had been following for quite a few months now would be there, and this was Klayton’s one and only chance to get his revenge. No one knew of the job for it wasn’t exactly Death Squadron matters, but rather more of his own. He didn’t care if it technically wasn’t justified to kill someone who wasn’t a threat to the DS. Klayton needed to do this for himself, for his family. Getting ready for the event didn’t take all the much time, as Klay didn’t particularly care about his appearance. He simply threw on a suit, not bother much to clean himself up a bit, and apparated over to the main entrance of Hogwarts. Immediately, he saw an impatient AJ waiting for him, and he walked over to her, not giving much thought as to whether or not he was late. Without a word, he pulled on her wrist in a rough manner, signaling that he was ready. Let’s go. Almost instantaneously, the pair was standing before the event hall of the Ministry building, and Klayton dropped the girl’s hand. With a quick jerk of his head, Klayton turned to wade through the crowd of people, seeking out the one person he came here for.

Quite honestly, Bentley was looking forward to the dinner event. She had been traveling Indonesia for the past month, and it was always nice to come home every once in a while. And the girl loved going to these kinds of events, especially when she had a super cool date with her. Thankfully the girl had managed to get one of her best friends and rival Quidditch star to come with her, which only made for an even better night. Bentley would never admit this, but she definitely had a small crush on the girl, and idolized Ari with every bone in her body, so she was quite grateful that Ari agreed to come. Even if there were certain circumstances that almost prevented her from being able to attend. Apparating over to the hall, Bentley walked in to a room crowded with cheerful people. Glancing around for her date, she spotted Ari seating at her assigned seat, obviously waiting for her. Rushing up, Bentley bent down to give the girl a hug and a peck on the cheek. I’m so glad you could make it. Thank you for coming. She beamed with excitement for the night.

Waiting just a few moments longer before Klayton showed up, AJ was becoming more and more irritated. If he was going to ruin her night in, than he damn well shouldn't be late to picking her up. Obviously, that was just obnoxiously rude. On top of that, he was being quite rough when he grabbed her arm to apparate them, not giving her a chance to even give him the slightest of greetings. Whatever was happening with him tonight clearly meant more than just a mission, but AJ wasn't going to push it. She knew how they worked and staying out of each others business was just an accepted way to go about things. Pursing her lips, AJ followed Klayton's lead through the crowd. "Let me know when you need me to bow out for a bit," she commented, nodding a bit as she spoke. She knew that he didn't want her around whatever business he had to take care of, so she was more than willing to just disappear for a bit until he was ready for her again. AJ knew how these things worked and she was more than happy to work with it.

Scott did not want to be going to a Ministry event. Scott did not want to be going to a Ministry event that his new step-sister would also be attending. Scott did not want to be going to a Ministry event that his new sister would also be attending, in which his dad forced him to be nice to said step-sister and at least dance once with her. And unfortunately for Scott, his dad had connections, so he would know if Scott didn’t do what he had asked. He sighed, as he grabbed the corsage he picked up for Aspen earlier. Had the boy not been so bitter about his family situation, he would’ve actually quite enjoyed the idea of the night, since he would be in the company of his best friend. And while he knew that Aspen wasn’t really the dating type, Scott couldn’t help but to have feelings for the beautiful blonde. Entering the common room, the boy felt a moment of guilt, as he saw the girl waiting for him, hoping she wasn’t there for too long. He offered her the corsage, which miraculously worked with her outfit, and offered a hand to apparate. Are you ready to go, Lope? His only wish was that the night would run smoothly, with no bitter feelings towards his step-sister.

Aislin felt herself get even more giddy about this entire event. I mean, she could wind up getting with a whole lot more stuff that could help her gain access to peoples files and information. The girl was nothing if not ruthlessly determined. ”R-right, of course. I’ll leave all your things to you, than,” He said with a nod. Aislin felt herself giggling again. She wasn’t a threat to Damien, she could hardly stand to imagine him being hurt let alone at her own hands. He’d be safest around her, she reckoned. At least he’d learn to be able to dodge Shrapnel faster. ”An ah.... a flying motorcycle?” he asked, pausing a bit. She grinned wickedly. ”Oh hey, someone wants a ride on the wild thing. Come on Damien.... you know you wanna take it for a spin.”
Aislin said squeezing his arm lightly. She’d kill to feel the wind through her hair on the bike. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Siting there as people passed by was making Ari more nervous than she could have imagined possible. She had felt that she would at least be able to handle a few hours around people, but she was honestly starting to question that judgment. However, she certainly wasn't going to let Bentley down, so she at least had to stay until the other girl showed up. Then, perhaps, she might be able to give some excuse and slip out early without anything major going wrong. Nervously biting down on her lip a bit, Ari was relieved when she saw Bentley coming from across the room. Returning the girl's hug, Ari felt at least slightly better than she had previously. It was always nice to be around people that she cared about and Bentley was definitely one of those people. "Hey, yeah, of course. Anything for you, babes," she nodded, giving her the best smile that she could muster up. "So, what's on the agenda for tonight?" she asked, figuring that Bentley had worked everything out.

Maybe Sage had this wicked cool plan in her head for her future. Maybe she wanted to play Quidditch, win a few championships, retire, then get married to her secret lover on the side and have Quidditch playing babies. She’d never really know, because her parents wanted different things for her. If they brought it up, Sage would lie through her teeth about being a lesbian or already having a boyfriend or something. Anything. ”Of course I would do that. Anything for you, Sage,” Thayne said nodding, giving her a reassuring smile. Then Sage realized a downfall. There would be slow dances, and quite frankly she doubted she had kept up on her ballroom dancing lessons. She could do quick paced songs, but slow songs? The girl was doomed. ”You know what? I don’t care what you say... you’re going to be an amazing boyfriend to a very lucky girl one day.”
she said with a grin. Hopefully that’ll bring a blush to his face so she won’t be the only one flustered tonight. ”I think you could be one, but I don’t think you’d be happy about it,” Thayne decided. Sage chuckled and turned a rather wicked grin on him. ”The killing curse is still illegal, right?” she asked rather innocently, batting her eyelashes at him. Merlin be damned if she wound up being a mother at eighteen.... and a curse on her family if they forced her into it. ”Ready to apparate there, than?” he asked, Sage had been ready since they left the castle. ”Better soon than later, as you always say.” Sage said teasingly. Grinning from ear to ear when she saw Scott come into the commons room, Aspen was more than glad that she had decided to attend the event with the boy. "Scooootttieeee," she excitedly bubbled as he came over with a corsage for her. That wasn't at all something Aspen had expected, but she had to admit that it was absolutely adorable and she loved it to pieces. "I am absolutely ready to go," she nodded, taking his hand with a smile. Aspen had admittedly only been to a few events like these, so she really wasn't sure what to expect from it. However, she was sure that as long as she was in good company, which she was, she would have an amazing time of it. "Are we going to meet up with anyone there?" she asked, not sure if Scott had made any plans or anything. She was sure that there would be plenty of people to interact with there, which she fully intended to do, but she wanted to be sure that Scott was able to do anything he wanted to as well.

To say that Parker loved his older brother was quite an understatement; but to say that Talan annoyed the hell out of Parker sometimes was most certainly accurate. The boy could deal with the fact that his older brother had certain aspirations in life, such as becoming the next Minister of Magic one day. But he completely disagreed with Talan’s ways of getting there, namely marrying some girl he didn’t even know or like very well, just so he could have connections to a well-known family and get his own name known in the wizarding world. There were few things that Parker just didn’t agree with when it came to Talan, considering most of the time it was Talan disapproving of Parker, but this definitely came out to be close to the top. And so, the Slytherin couldn’t exactly just leave things where they were. Oh no, Parker had to go mess with Talan because of it. And there was no better person to turn to than Dani McFarrlan herself, considering she had an older sister who was head of some random department in the Ministry. Making his way towards the Ravenclaw common room, Parker rounded the final corner before he was in front of the painting, and the very bored looking Dani next to it. Heyyyy. Ready to make some trouble? He let her finish the cigarette she was currently puffing on. Let’s pounce. The sooner they got to the hall, the more time Parker had to make Talan see how ridiculous he was being.

Damien had to admit that the pull if being able to ride on a flying motorcycle was pretty hardcore. Besides, what could possibly go wrong? It seemed like Aislin was pretty familiar with the vehicle and probably wouldn't have any problems getting them there safely, so there really wasn't that much to be concerned about. Probably. A bit of a grin appeared on his face, something that he was completely unable to help. "Okay, yeah. You know what, okay. Let's ah, let's do it," he nodded, his exuberance more just an attempt to psych himself up than anything. Damien didn't often do crazy, spontaneous things like this, but if there was anything that could get him, it was technology and all the cool things that were included with it.

Jayden felt his heart actually start to pick up pace in his chest. He was pacing, just pacing back and forth outside the Ravenclaw tower. Too nervous to go all the way up and find his date, Viktoria Krum. He couldn’t bear to see her, she was beautiful enough as is. Honestly, how did Jayden get so lucky? The only person putting a damper in his future plans was Talan, and he really did not like Talan. Somehow, though, Talan had managed to form an alliance. It was shaky, but it was enough to get them through trying to stop the arranged marriage. The guy he hated was helping him try and get the woman he currently believed he loved. Taking that into context, he managed to calm himself down enough to look back towards the tower. He hoped she didn’t hate him for not meeting her right outside the tower, not right near the entrance to her commons room.

In all honesty, Marcus hadn’t planned on showing up at the Ministry event until he got an owl the morning of, requesting him to be an escort for Ms. Stryder. Having nothing better to do, other than sitting on his couch and watching Giants games from when he was a quarterback, and considering the fact that he quite liked the company of Felicity, Marcus felt compelled to go. If there really exists threats against her because of her phenomenal catch of the snitch at the Quidditch World cup, the Marcus certainly didn’t want Felicity to be harmed in any way. The safety of one of his good friends and fellow Death Squadron member was always a concern for him. He showed up an hour prior to meeting Fel at the event hall, so the guards could properly check him over to ensure he wasn’t carrying anything that would put her life in danger. Marcus was even required to not carry his wand, something that left him feeling exposed and vulnerable. But if it meant giving Felicity a good night to just relax and basking in all the glory of support from her fans, then Marcus could deal with it. Standing in a quiet back room, that was not much for the man to do, other than wait for the Quidditch star to show.
